I mean, sure, if you manage to invent anti-grav, and it's perfect in design(this being the key point), then you can armor something flying just as well as you can armor something that crawls across the ground. And sure, if you manage to invent a stable, efficient fusion engine at sizes small enough to use in a fighting vehicle, then you won't have to worry about fuel. But such tanks are the realm of fiction and thus invalid in the discussion of tactics.
