Warforged, by name they are beings of eternal battle and made in the most magical of forges. They have long sense stopped being controlled by any for their wars as slaves. Though the most common of the beings were the humanoids. They were formed in many different ways from the shapes of other beasts of all types.

But that time when they were common within the realms. At least a thousand years since they were seen on this plane in common place. Many had sought adventure or had fallen in some sort of disrepair and were destroyed in some way.

But far from any that would find the spot of another Forge of Creation, thought all to be destroyed long ago, except for the ones who had built the place so very long ago with knowledge they had obtained in different ways.

In the desert mountains with no name, the forge sat beneath where it had slowly eroded the old seals and locks on their mighty doors. And waking the first of many in this legendary cache of magical technology.

The first sign of movement was one of the few Warforged created before the place was sealed. It moved slowly and activated itself slowly as the crystals started to fuel it once more.

But what will you do first?
A: Try to 'Remember' the instructions given by the creators.
B: Explore the home where you have sat in 'deactivation' for so long.
C: Try to take stock of exactly what you can do.
D: Write in.

You remember not only what you can do but also your Name. IronMass you remember, named that because of he sheer amount of Iron it took to make most of this place and that you moved yourself to get things here ready for everything.

You also remember the basics of training you had in medicine for the more 'Fleshy' creators had taught you along with the workings of the forge inside. Everything in the forge took a good bit of magic to power and that is why your eyes are in a sense made of magically collecting crytals.

Lucky for you they had some sort of extra holding place or the ones inside of your head would have melted you long ago. Sadly you don't know where the rest of the stored magical crystals are at least at the moment.

You remember your enhanced strength, your average magical skill and the masterwork forging of weapons you can do. Along with working the Creation Forges with enough practice as you haven't done so in so long.

What do you do now?
A: Attempt to remember your former instructions.
B: Explore the home where you've been sat so long.
C: Attempt to look outside, as you were sitting near the only access hole this side of the complex.
D: Write in.

You explore the innards of the complex on this end, seems like everything is still in near perfect condition. Lucky for you but with magic in the doors that isn't as big of a surprise. Your creators weren't that dimwitted to fail simple warding runes.

Along with the creation forges you see in the center rooms, you find other smaller rooms with other large forges. Fueled by different runes of fire magics and some by deactivated portals to the plane of fire.

Now, while the thing is active you go and start to remember everything you are able to create as you make the simple things needed for the Mediforged things.

Simple fake limbs that seemed to be able to be used wasn't out of the question. Difficult yes, but not impossible. Along with that the magical essence you are able to infuse within them is...lacking. Perhaps a rune or illusion to make them look a little more real would all you would be ale to do.

Focusing back from your memory and thoughts you see the Sword, the set of scalpels, a bone saw (always nice to have), and extra ioun stone head lamp that you rest on your head through a strap. Darkvision was nice, but full color from a light was even better.

A: Explore the rest of the forge.

As you start to think you remember your prime directive as your creator liked to call it. Preservation of not only yourself and the Creation Forges within, which for all you know are not one of the kind like they are, but of the people around the forge area. The builders and your creators were grand sorcerers and wizards. But they told you of the many different races who had called the desert home and had them as strangers as 'Impartial' judges and seekers of knowledge.

Being a Mediforged this worked well, if you had met any creatures that were not hostile. You would be able to help them as your Creators did in the past and this sent a 'Happiness' into your metal body.

As you rummage through some things you find a few robes and other things in a magical chest. All cloths for the most part of one of the medical men. Slipping them on you look like the classical doctor image that any from the forge before you went into stasis.

Along with it as you look around you picked up a staff and a scabbard. Putting your finely made short sword into the scabbard now attached to your hip and you look at the staff and watch the beings on it move slowly.

"Ah...finally weilded. And by another of medical training. Acceptable." It said in a single voice as the top was a Snake head with deep blue gemstones for eyes that glowed faintly. "Protections and Use, highly acceptable.'

You've obtained:
Former Medical Garb.
Scabbard for your Sword.
Magical Snake Staff (Medical Checks Plus 2)

Alternatively, waiting longer would've killed any chance of useful feedback. Either way I look forward to our inevitable grafting of magical prosthesis on war torn orphans and what not.

Also, ask the snake if he can imitate drugs. A sleeping chemical could COUNT as a poison right?

Also, we should switch over to an Awl instead of a shortsword. It'd punch through armor easier and if we poisoned it with Ssen it'd be pretty deadly.

As you climb up you find a large cave, and it strangely full of different shiny objects. Finely made goblets here and there but mostly small metal coins that you seem to not know the true value of.

Inside you do see something starting to move, it's rather small and blue and speaks in a tongue with an odd accent. Clearly it's not the blue things native tongue.

Point out that we were here first, by a couple centuries at least and that if the mountain belongs to anyone it would be whoever made us and put our facility underneath the mountain. "Injuries are Clear on your body. I am trained in medical magic and sciences. Allow me to look you over and lessen any pain." IronMass said and bowed a bit showing his medical gear and his staff. Lucky the pain killing poison of a plant was a simple one that Ssen had on it that could even effect a dragon.

"T-thank you?" It says and walks forward closer to IronMass with a clear limp. It truly is fairly injuried. Though it's scars and wounds are many, much of the wounds seem to be breaks and beatings from larger objects.

"Where did you obtain the wounds that you currently are showing?" IronMass asked as he used simple magic to start to slowly mend some broken bones. A powerful spell and taking much of a normal human's magical stores. Luckily the Crystal was at more than full power and not drained much by the ordeal of healing the young Blue.

"The Giants, a clan that had stolen me and nearly had killed my kin. I only escaped when my father's other Dragonborn son killed on of the guards and allowed me to flee." He said as the pain numbing poison allowed him to relax mroe and more. "Giants are a near contant plague here, they think they can kill or loot anything around. Worse then anyone really...I'm glad none are able to come too close to this mountain because of the great rifts. "

The small blue is now looking a good bit better, his wounds look much cleaner now with the magic and 'poison' used as Medicine. He seems to now be able to move with much more ease and without much pain.

Now that you know of the Dragon, what do you do?

A: Go back down the mountain.
B: Talk to the Dragon. Ask it some questions.
C: Look out into the distance from the cave.
D: Write in.
>>
>>26600958
Well, if we're going to be neighbors then it's better to familiarize ourselves with him. Besides it's just good bedside manner.
>>
>>26600985
Ask the dragon if it gets enough exercise and has a healthy diet. Does it eat enough greens, those are in short supply in deserts? What about alcohol consumption, is it within tolerable limits?
>>
>>26600958
B) "I'll investigate a possible solution to the issue of the Giants. What is your name?"
>>
>>26600958
How old the dragon is? What size it is?
>>
>>26600958
Ask it about the giants, gnolls and other creatures. These are going to be the source of a lot of injuries so we should look into Murder Hobo-ing if only to cut down on cases of sudden unexpected amputation.
>>
>>26601015
Let's rub him under ears and let him rest on our lap instead, name him "George". It's a nice name for a nice dragon.
>>
>>26600958
Slip the dragon a roofie, extract a semen sample while it's unconscious.
>>
>>26601043
What about Nathaniel? Legit tho he must have a name.

I hope it's Nathaniel
>>
>>26601015
"I'd like to see anything deal with them. They have some sort of Giant Armor that makes them hard enough to kill even with Blue Dragon's Lighting." He said as you reach behind it's frills and rub behind them making it make some sort of odd sound. "And my name is Nethil."

"Do you eat enough Nethil then? Food I understood was hard enough to come by from my creators." IronMass asked and looked at Nethil.

"Mostly Camels, sometimes a goblin if I'm bored. And sometimes I hunt down a large hawk for a bit of something different."

>>26601021

You look out and what you see is rather impressive. The ruined bits of a city around the mountain Most of it around the mountains were dunes but farther was old buildings made out of sand. And where the smoke was coming from was a small square of old buildings where it looked like Old tents and a large fire pit was in the center where the fire was.

A: Go on down.
B: Go back to the forge rooms.
C: Write in.

So when are we awakening our brothers/sisters?

>>26601632
If they're hostile we'll be fucked without robackup

Or by making more magically attuned warforged, we'll be able to use them to power the forges and make more bro's.

I'd rather have our bros put to do useful work, like helping people.

I don't think we're giant. We'd be a pretty shit Mediforge if we were huge in comparison to other races.
>>
>>26601632
You slide down on your back bouncing a bit down the mountain. Nothing is damage that can't be fixed with a few pounded out dents. As you go down you now have the option of going to that odd tent like city with the smoke or going back INTO the forge to try to awaken more Warforged.

A: Awaken
B: Go say hello

>>

Well, considering that the biggest threat we face is erosion I'd say being overtly cautious is unwarranted. We're sturdy, we can handle lots of things that a normal protagonist wouldn't.

It's like Young Paul Atreides taking Thufir Hawat with him to Disneyland. "Would you just chill the fuck out and enjoy the teacups, old man?"

You decided to walk over the dunes and toward the smoke pillar close by. As you get closer you hear the shouting and yelling of the beings within the camp. Climbing over the dune you see a large man near the fire throwing things inside it making it spew different colored sparks.

Keeping watch you see them bring another fleshy toward the front and throwing them into the fire making the flames suddenly go straight up.

As we speak, walk through them without regarding their existence, reach into the flames and take whatever ruined shards of our brothers are left in the embers.
>>
>>26601920
While we can take on a young dragon I doubt we could take on a camp of Giants let alone one who are sacraficing fleshbags to their gods
Lets go back to home base and tidy up no doubt the place is dusty as hell and a mess after our masters just up and left.

We are a Mediforge, not a peacekeeper.
I'm sure we've been programmed with higher than average warforge intelligence to accept that multiple cultures exist. A lot of things that should be considered when encountering a new one.

>>26602054
From what you saw, he was not happy about bein' thrown into the flames.

I like to think we are more of a Combat Medic, our main purpose was the preservation of ourselves and Creation Forges. Not being a literally doctor.

Mayhap, but we were forged by man. The same sort of man who was just thrown into a fire. This is an affront to the kin of our masters, albeit by others of the sort. I'd think our arcane cogitator is on fire right now with the conflict of interest.

"NOOOOOO!" IronMass shouts as he runs down the dune and rolls down a few and then keeps running and pushes away the large men who seem amazed by your metal being and pulling out the man of the flames.

You look to the being and are...well slightly amazed the small man hasn't gotten a single burn but looks wounded by stab wounds that have been closed by the heat healing him at least in that respect.

"Why do you throw this one into the flames? Why do you sentance another to the death by the heat of creation?" IronMass asks the large one who is amazed to meet another his size.

"A Traitor and a murderer. He left others to die in the waste whilst they were fighting the Gnolls. We have lived long against this one but he fled like a coward leaving his brothers to die Metal One." The Tall one says in a clear tone.

"I ran because I was ordered..." Said the smaller one, he seemed only half your height and you look to the large one.

What do?
A: Talk
B: Fight
C: Write in.

>>
>>26602496
Tell them that you're taking the man to be your follower. His punishment will be to serve for the rest of his life.
>>
>>26602623
Yeah, its eventually going to come to this
>>
>>26602623
Ehh... I don't know if we can enslave a creator.

Also, I just realized. Whether he retreated under order or not, it's highly unethical to execute a prisoner. It's just wasteful and stupid aside from evil.
>>
>>26602574
"Observation and information tells that the final survivor would have died if not retreating. And even though if he were ordered to do so, if execution is need. Do not torture, simply painless would be more adiquiet. I will take this one to my home. Do not worry, he will serve until I see fit."

You then pick up the half sized burned man and walk up the dunes surprising the hell out of the giant creatures. The smaller one has now passed out once again as you take it back and put it into the medical room inside the forge.
>>
>>26602671
Well, fleeing a battle is a serious crime so he should be punished somehow, and making him work for the good of all is better punishment than death.
