I always liked the idea in the Ultimate Spiderman comics that Nick Fury was grooming Peter to join SHIELD some day. Well, the Ultimates, but same thing in that continuity. It makes for a neat contrast to the rest of the world's view of Spiderman. With the exception of Uncle Ben, all of the older authority figures for Peter are antagonistic to him. Someone seeing Pete's attempts to do good and his potential to be great and deciding to help him along without holding his hand is a fun concept.

His voice sounds a bit uncertain. “Well, if it’s a problem, then-”

You hang up after the call’s done and head out the door. You start making your way to Felix’s- the more you’ve visited it, the more familiar the way to and from has become. On the way, you see how much more livelier things are- the black cat’s selling papers and getting things more and more revitalized.

The news on papers and tv you see are all the same- J Jonah Jameson offering a cash reward for anyone who stops the Black Cat. The reward seems to have gone up too, it’s at a thousand dollars. Seems like he’s really getting worried.

Eventually, you knock on Felix’s door and you’re let in. The place seems a little messier than usual and Felix looks a bit flushed as he leans on a crutch.

“Hi, Peter.”

...I'm honestly annoyed of that being more and more what people think what the symbiote does. The symbiote didn't do that in its original appearances. It was just an alien costume that was tiring peter because fighting crime for him as he slept. The only thing it influenced was Peter not going to see Reed Richards so what it was wouldn't be revealed. It only started to even learn of hate when Peter started rejecting it.

Others have adapted that later on and its become the norm for most adaptations since then. Which is fine for later on because of years and years of being on angry villains, but it shouldn't be like that in its origin.

It never originally did any of that. It just wanted a bond with Peter.

The symbiote gained the physical imprint of Parker's Baseline along with the webshooting.. I think it altered the tentacle as well. But really, the only reason that Venom became so strong is because it had the Spiderman baseline.

when Bunn wrote Brock as Toxin, he was closer to how he was as Anti-Venom than the mad monster Remender wrote. He even made him look more like the normal look of Toxin, but with some changes because he's a different host.

He and Flash teamed up before he left when Flash told him that he wasn't going to end up like Eddie did- he was trying to build himself a life. Eddie said he'd be watching but he'd give Flash the chance to prove him wrong.

Y'know, I've never understood the latex catsuit thing. Latex FIGHTS YOU when you wear it. It resists your every movement, ever so slightly. You nod as the two of you walk over to the kitchen, you helping out Felix to prepare the food. While you’re setting out the bowls, you hear Felix hiss in pain and you turn to see him holding his right hand. There’s a bit of a burn on the side of his hand.

“You alright?”

He nods, moving over to the sink and putting his hand under the running water. “Yeah. Just a slight burn is all.”

Wrapping up his finger, he continues working. The two of you sit and talk, mainly about tutoring, before the meals eventually draws to a close.

You go and get your things, double-checking the schedule. “So, the next session’s Monday, right?”

Felix nods and smiles. “Yeah. Have a safe journey home, Peter.”

You nod as he walks you to the door. “You too, Felix.”

You head on home after the door closes behind you as you think about costumes, Norman Osborn, bills, and the Black Cat’s reward.
