High up on the colony shaft things are somewhat quiet, almost peaceful. Here you can see the whole colony so far up; it’s very easy to spot all the beam shots and the explosions going on in the colony. Fires are burning, smoke rising into the air, though it’s a little difficult to spot the smoke in the green gaze swirling around you, what with all the nerve gas that was just released.

Your name is Dirk Crocker and you are currently on the space colony of Solon. The Vagans showed up out of nowhere inside of the colony and began attacking, and then they showed up outside of the colony and began attacking. Currently the colony is crawling with Vagan mobile suits and for all you know, ground troops as well.

The only ‘safe’ areas are the North and South Ports which are under heavy siege at the moment. Thankfully Vice Admiral Flit and his two kids, Akito and Yurika are at the North Gate protecting the Diva and Amadeus while the remaining Adele wears are loaded onboard. Max and Arisa are helping what’s left of the Colony Defense forces defend the South Port where a cargo ship is being loaded with civilians for evacuation.

Outside of the colony, well you have no idea. The Magnificent 7 and Hunter are outside supporting the massive L.E.V.I.A.T.H.A.N. ship “Dagon” in fending off whatever Vagan forces are outside. The “Dagon” is a big ship, but for all you know it’s fighting 7 Fa Bose Class ships and hundreds of Vagan mobile suits.

At the moment the colony shaft is clear of enemies and there’s no risk of it getting blown up. Asemu just flew over and is trying to help Obright, who’s Genoace III was skewered by its legs to the colony shaft via pile drivers with some kind of neat, memory metal that bars ou-No, you need to focus.

You need to figure out what the green crap is, your best bet is nerve gas if it’s something else…you don’t want to think what else it might be.

At the moment you’re having difficulty reaching anyone besides Obright and Asemu. It’s possible the Vagans have Jammers in the colony, or maybe the green crap is screwing with your comms. You can’t contact the Diva, Woolf, or anyone else. You might be able to contact them if you work your computer skills on your suit’s comm systems.

However finding out what the green fog is and how to get rid of it is also, very, very important and the more time you waste the longer that crap has to work. Now there is the guy who released the stuff, he’s on the street level covered in a couple dozen pounds of orange goo. Maybe interrogating him will wield something.

Of course you also have an A.I attached to your arm in the form of MID. He’s been ‘sleeping’ while trying to dig up more info on Uther. MID could probably link up to your suit and scan the green fog and tell you what it is, but he’ll probably lose his current progress on his investigation.

You tell Asemu not to bother with helping Obright for now and have him go down to interrogate the Vagan pilot all the while you start working on reaching the Diva.

It's hard, very hard. Whatever is jamming comms is doing a real good fucking job of it. You can't reach Woolf, Max, or Arisa but you do manage to make contact with the Diva.

You tell the Diva what has happened, having to repeat yourself a couple times due to the shitty signal. They inform you they can't spare any backup, but they'll contact the Dagon and see if they can send anyone into the colony to help.

You've been given new orders. You must find a way to neutralize the nerve gas or minimize the damage it causes. In the likely hood you can't stop the gas you have been given orders to exterminate all Vagans with extreme prejudice.

As Captain Millais wishes you luck, Asemu flies back up to you. "I managed to get him to talk. Apparently the gas they're using is based off one they used back in the Colony Nation War. It comes with a neutralizing agent, I guess it's meant to kill off people, stick around for a long time, and when you want to send in people yourself you use the neutralizing agent to clear it up."

"Did you find out where it was located?" You ask.

"Somewhere in the industrial sector. The guy said we only have an hour before the gas spreads and kills anyone in the colony who's not wearing a sealed suit. If we're going to find the gas, we need to find it soon"

Checking your watch you weigh your options. You have two other people with you. Asemu who's in the AGE-2 Flat and Obright who's in the Genoace III and stilled pinned to the colony shaft. The damage to his leg's look pretty nasty. You could probably rip his suit off the barbed pile driven shafts but it's doubtful the Genoace would be walking anywhere.

10 minutes have passed. You only have 50 minutes before the gas spreads all unprotected personnel in the colony, which is the butt load of civilians who haven't be able to evacuate due to the attacking Vagans.

You need to act fast, what do you wish to do Dirk?

Oh yeah, and don't forget to pick up the prisoner as well.
>>
>>27830249
Woolf should have headed to Industrial by now. He'll be available to help us find the counter-agent. And then distribute it by...I don't know, pumping it into the rain-simulator piping? That way we could just mist it down to mingle with the cloud, I guess.

>>27830298
Yeah. Stick him to the outside of the Merlin with the goo he's stuck in. Hands-free that way, and it gives him an incentive to want us to survive this.
>>
>>27830218
Doesn't Solon have any atmosphere-sealing systems already in place? It's an industrial colony, it should have something like the birdlime membrane sprayers to prevent the spread of dangerous gasses and at least buy us some more time. Or have any quarantine systems been sabotaged by the Vagans in preparation for this?
>>
>>27830402
Whoah, man, slow down. No need to risk the only guy who can fill us in on what the Vagans are planning next and why they wanted to preserve Solon instead of nuking it. Let's give him to Asemu to bring him to the Diva along with Obright, we'll deal with him later.

As for how we'll distribute the counter-agent, no idea. I think the colonies have their own atmospheres, so there probably isn't any piping for rain, but actual clouds. Maybe there's something that they use to filter the air? If it's an industrial colony, it probably has enormous air filters to deal with the pollution, which we could then use to filter the air.
>>
>>27830249
>>27830277
>>27830536

>Let's grab Woolf, he's down there and he could probably use some help.

If you leave to try and get Woolf yourself you'll waste time trying to find him your best option is to have Asemu get help while you go to the Industrial sector.

"I'll get Obright back to the Diva, I'll come and find you with whatever help I can get once I'm done." Asemu promises, yanking Obright's Genoace off the spikes, hydraulic fluid spilling over the colony shaft like black blood.

"Don't forget the pilot ether, he'll make a good prisoner. Don't get the goo on yourself or in your suit's hands, that stuff is a nightmare to get off." You say before flying off.

As you fly to the Industrial Sector you check your weapons. You still have your beam javelin, shield, Custom Hy-DODS Rifle, but you're out of goo grenades from killing those yellow pile driving suits on the colony shaft. Are you have are explosive grenades, 20 of them, ten in each fore arm launcher. You still have five Beam Shield Funnels, one was lost after you learned that physical weapons with enough force can penetrate a beam shield, like a pile driver for example.

>>27830448
You aren't as familiar with the features of a space colony as you wish you were. You know Solon has atmospheric cleaners to deal with the pollutants coming off of it's factories, but you doubt there would be a colony sized quarantine system in place. Holes in the colony, that's something that happens now and then. Nerve Gas attacks? This hasn't happened since the Colony Nations Wars...

It's doubtful that whatever cleaners are in place would be able to filter the Nerve Gas out of the colony air in time, but they could buy you time if they haven't been destroyed or sabotaged.

>>27830536
Wait a minute...how are they going to deliver the counter agent? It couldn't be in some missile they just launch, it would have to be spread throughout the colony. What better way to do that then with the cleaners themselves!

It's only a guess, but it's possible the Counter Agent is being held in and is ready for deployment in the Atmospheric Control Center. Since the Vagan pilot told Asemu the counter-agent is in the Industrial Sector the ACC is probably located there. Pulling up a map of the colony you have 5 minutes off your flight time by going straight to the ACC.

Landing, you find the area is quiet. You till hear shots in the distance and the occasional explosion but as far as you and your sensors can see there aren't any Vagan suits located near the ACC. Makes sense, why draw attention to the one place they don't want anyone to know about?

Still, no reason to be careless.

You don't see any signs of Woolf or backup ether. Just barren streets, flames from burning buildings, and the occasional fleeing civilian or two.

The ACC is a large building, about the size of your school. Set up like an office building from what you can tell. Next to it you can see a large elevator platform and heavy duty Desperado's lined up near it. You don't know the workings of the ACC but it's likely that manual work goes into changing the filters and agents used to clean the air of the colony.

What do you wish to do Dirk?

You decide to go underground in your suit. So far every time you've exited your suit you've been shot, or nearly blown up. Shit, you really should get your pilot suit armor plated or something.

Worries about getting shot for the billionth time aside you step the Merlin onto the elevator and activate it, riding it down into a large underground tunnel. The lights are still working thankfully so things are well lit. They flicker from time to time but considering the possible damage done to the electrical grid your just happy that they're still working.

The tunnel is large, big enough for four mobile suits to walk shoulder to shoulder in. Ceiling is a nice height too, no need to worry about bumping the Merlin's head off the ceiling.

Checking the map you find that the main Filter and Chemical Loading Station is just down the tunnel. However there is a monitoring station if you down the opposite direction. The station might give you a heads up to how the system is doing and who's down here. However you'd probably have to exit your suit to get into the station.

So far you don't see any signs of Vagan activity. No blood, or beam blasts.

What do you wish to do?

>>
Could MID hack into the monitoring system, or do we have to get there ourselves?
It'd be nice to know what we're getting ourselves into this time, especially if Zeheart's around.
>>
>>27831429
You could wake him up and have him hack into the network to get access to the monitoring system, but he's still 'asleep' and mulling over the data involving Uther. If you wake him up and switch his priorities he'll most likely lose whatever progress he made on Uther.
>>
>>27831470
Damn. Let him do his job, then. We should go to that monitoring station to see what's going on. We're only going to waste time if the Vagans screwed with the filter system and we have to go back.

Speaking of MID, I went over that thread where we found him, and the little guy hasn't been memory wiped. He probably remembers Arthur and whatever was going on back then, he just hasn't been talking about it.
>>
>>27831516
True, but remember that back then he was more or less a talking robot puppy. He remembers Arthur, but not that clearly. He wasn't really paying attention.
>>
>>27831583
Yeah, but he clearly remembers Arthur, that they used to play all the time, his "parents", Uther, MaG yelling at him to stop bugging Arthur and so on. For all we know, he might even be Arthur's journal or buddy he confided in. MID obviously has a lot of stuff stored somewhere, he just didn't have the need to access it until now.
>>
>>27831257
>>27831516
You decide to go to the Monitoring Station. As much as you don't want to leave your suit, you'd rather not run into Zeheart down here. Going to the small station, you kneel your suit and get out. Climbing the stairs to the station, you open the door and enter it.

The station itself has large glass windows that allow you to look down at the tunnel below. Computer consoles, chairs, a small table, a couple of lockers, and a tiny area with a coffee pot, mini fridge, and a microwave suggest that there was usually a crew of people here, looking things over and checking things over.

However you don't see anyone. After looking around and making sure Zeheart's not going to pop out of a locker and shoot you in the ass, you check the computers to see what you can learn.

Apparently there are sensors at the entrances to the underground that register when authorized or unauthorized personnel or mobile suits enter. You are the first unauthorized mobile suit to enter this place in the last seven hours. Apparently another mobile suit entered the underground seven hours ago, and like you it water registered as unauthorized.

Thankfully no authorized personnel have entered if the records are right, so no swarm of robot spiders! Well, unless things have been tampered with.

What do you wish to do Dirk?

All of which are things that he would have been paying attention to. He's a child. Reading emotions is a lot easier for him than understanding the reasons for those emotions. So while he would understand that there were times that Arthur was really upset or sad, he wouldn't be able to figure out why, even if Arthur told him. Whether he could look back at those memories now and figure out the context behind them now that he's more mature is dependent on how he archives memory. We'll just have to see.
>>
>>27831921
>[A] Try to look something else up on the computer system (Specify)

Check if any of the storage tanks have been filled recently. Chances are, that's the one with the counter-agent.
>>
>>27832012
This. Also, see what that suit is, or where the hell the people working here are.
>>
>>27832012
Doing a quick search you find several tanks have been replaced, but they haven't been properly connected. There's nothing put down about what they are, so it's probably easy to assume they are the counter agent. However they aren't properly connected. All they need is a mobile suit to fully push them into their slot, in their current state the agent can't be released.

>>27832081
You check the roster to see who was supposed to be working today. Several guys are supposed to be working right this instant. They came into work but they left early...several hours ago. Right around the same time as the other authorized mobile suit entered. You try accessing the file holding all the images taken of unauthorized suits but it appears to be corrupted, you can't even look at the picture that was taken of the Merlin.

Still, you might be able to fix it.

Fair point, we'll just see when he wakes up later on. Though there is still the possibility that Arthur used him as a journal of sorts. We did find out that Arthur kept a rather detailed and tedious to read diary, but that it lacked anything on the battles they fought and other important data, no mentions or photos of Rysis, or anything personal, really. It's possible that Arthur kept all that stuff inside MID. We'll see.

You'd had to save corrupted files many times before and this is a walk in the park. You salvage the images and take a look at them. The picture only shows the suit from the mid section up, but the second unauthorized suit is obviously Vagan in origin, but it's none you've seen before. It's definitely not something Zeheart would pilot (unless he's finally lost his mind). It has a tail and a skinny, almost...monkey like design. It's painted in a black paint scheme.

Checking the computer you find out the suit...never left. It's still down here somewhere with you.

You have 30 minutes left to activate the Counter Agent. What do you wish to do Dirk?

Can we check what's going on in the Main filter and loading station? There're probably cameras we can access from here.
If not, get into the Merlin and head down there. It's time to do your job.
>>
>>27832500
The cameras here appear been destroyed. There are only a few active and they aren't anywhere near the Filter Station. That stinks of preparation or an outrageous amount of vandalism. You leave the Station and head back into the Merlin.

Starting it back up you head toward the Filter Station, ready for anything. You get there and find the lights in the area have been smashed out. Thankfully, you have night vision sensors built into your suit, so it's not a problem. You glance around the room and you don't see anything. I mean you see the machinery and equipment, but you don't see a monstrous Vagan mobile suit waiting to rip your head off and throw it across the room.

You spot the several large canisters set in a machine. They aren't fully pushed into their respective holes, kind of like how you can leave a soda top on a soda without full screwing it in. The canisters look like they were designed to be handled by mobile suits so you don't have to worry about busting them open while handling them.

>>
>>27832791

You deploy the shield funnels and begin to move them around the room. You try to be as cautious as you can with your crappy control over the funnels what with the important equipment in the room and all. You avoid trying to hit any of the walls or equipment while 'sweeping' them through the open space in the room.

They don't crash into anything, allowing you to breath a sigh of relief involving an invisible enemy. However as you begin to relax, you notice something up towards the ceiling. Looking up you see something up there, almost blending in with the ceiling as if...

Suddenly something long lunges down from the ceiling, attempting to strike at the Merlin's head!

CRITICAL SUCCESS

Acting quickly you pull back your Beam Shield Funnels and throw them into the path of the bladed tail. The Beam Shield Funnel's don't block the shot...they just lob off the end of the tail completely.

The mobile suit on the ceiling hangs down from the ceiling and fires on you. You put your beam shields in the way, blocking it's vulcan fire.

You now have a clear view of the black suit. It has hands on both it's arms and it's legs! It begins to move around on the ceiling, using it's arms to climb while firing on you with the beam Vulcan built into it's feet hands.

Your beam shields are more then enough to protect you, however you can't use them forever, they'll eventually over heat.

The Monkey looks pretty damn limber, but lightly armored. A single shot from your Hy-DODS rifle would be more then enough...however you'd probably end up bringing the whole damn room on yourself and hit whoever is street side above the Monkey.

How do you wish to engage the Monkey Vagan Dirk?
>>
>>27833400
Melee. Use the physical shield and the beam javelin to advance on him, while using the shield bits to corner him in.
>>
>>27833400
Grenades. Knock it down to the ground.
>>
>>27833472

>>
>>27833493
True. Though I think a single grenade aimed behind it could knock it loose without risking too much collateral damage. Still, if you think it's best to engage in melee, I suppose we could instead use the shield funnels to trip him up mid-swing. So how about we fire some beam vulcan shots at him to make him swing away, interrupt the swing by placing a beam barrier in his path so he flinches back, then stab him while he's responding?

Using a grenade sounds like a good idea. but it's too risky you could cause a cave in or worse, damage the machinery that is needed to pump the counter-agent through the colony.

Remembering your funnels you get an idea. Firing your beam vulcans you force the Monkey to swing away, as he does you throw a beam shield funnel in his path. He uses his tail to swat the funnel away but it gives you long enough to jump up and thrust your Beam Javelin at him...

Hopefully. We'll have around 20 minutes if we deal with this guy that fast, but considering how they left him to guard this place all alone in an unique suit, I doubt it.

As you thrust your Beam Javelin up at the Monkey, it reaches out with one of it's feet and grabs the shaft with a hand-foot. With it's other hand-foot it proceeds to start kicking (or would it be punching?) the Merlin's head.

You break away before it can do any real damage, noting that it's feet don't have the same beam vulcan/beam saber set up most Vagan suits have.

As you note this the Monkey throws your beam javelin right back at you with it's hand-feet. You block with your physical shield and quickly pick up the Beam Javelin.

Now the Monkey is throwing itself all over the place, firing it's beam vulcans like crazy, with no regard for the equipment or the counter agent.

Your beam shield funnels protect you but they're starting to over heat.

What's your next move Dirk?

Turn off the bits - our shield can handle the vulcan fire for a while. Let them cool off, and then activate them near him to box him in. Open fire with the DODS and use the bits to maneuver him into entering the hallway. Once inside, he won't be able to dodge all the shots.

Let's go for it. The power of the Merlin lies in forcing the opponent to fight as we want them to. We herd him into a tight space and then get back to stabbing. I do want an excuse to fire the HY-DODS Custom at some point, though. Maybe after we're done here we can help wrap up the Vagan assault force hitting the docks and blast them all away at once.

As an aside, is this thing we're fighting basically a proto-Xamdrag? The Diddy Kong to its Donkey, so to speak? I'm trying to come up with a mental image of it and that's what I'm getting from "monkey-like Vagan suit". Something like the Zeydalus's frame with the Xamdrag's head and hands/feet.
>>
>>27834060
Yeah, but we should see if we can modify our HDODS custom so that it can fire shots of varying strength instead of one instadeath beam.
Or, if we fail that, at least make another HDODS custom for close-to-medium range combat.

>>27834303
It probably is the proto-Xamdrag, and weirdly enough, that's the exact same mental picture I had. Wonder who the pilot is.

(Yep! That's exactly what it looks like. This is one of those moments I really wished I didn't suck at drawing. I'm practicing but at the moment I'd just ruin anything I'd tried to draw)

You deactivate your funnels and return them to the Merlin's shoulder plates. Raising your shield you draw out your regular DODS Rifle and begin to fire on Monkey. It leaps and swings out of your shots, but it's having difficulty firing on you now that you have a ranged weapon.

When you're shield funnels are cooled off you release them and throw them at the Monkey, firing your DODS Rifle wildly.

The Monkey drops from the ceiling and runs into the hallway on the other side of the room. You move in on the monkey, your beam shields in front of you like a wall.

It looks like you have him just where you want him, but before you can move into melee the Monkey picks up a large barrel in the hallway, or rather a chemical canister and chucks it your beam shield barricade and firing at it mid arc.

The canister explodes, the blast throwing your beam shield funnels backwards due to the fact their small and limited thrusters were keeping them aloft.

Two beam funnels are destroyed from being smashed up against the wall of the hallway, the other three land somewhere behind you. As you recover from the blast the Monkey leaps through the flames, blades deploying from it's actual hands as it strikes at the Merlin....

(Roll 1d100 vs Piloting to counter attack. 53 or lower will succeed. 54 or higher will fail. 1 is a critical success and 100 is a critical failure. Only the first three rolls will be counted)

SUCCESS

The Monkey leaps at you, slashing the Merlin with it's clawed hands, gouging large chunks of armor out of it's chest. However as it does so you ready your beam Javelin and thrust it forward. With no time to jump back you puncture the Monkey's chest and push the Beam Javelin out the other side.

Immediately the Monkey's head launches off and grabs hold of the ceiling, tiny manipulators arms deploying from the sides of it's head. It begins to crawl away and before you can attack it with your beam vulcans the Monkey's abandoned body explodes at near point blank.

Thankfully the explosion is not that large. Outside of some damage to your frontal armor and the loss of your Beam Javelin the Merlin isn't very damaged. However the Monkey head is gone and you have 15 minutes left on the clock.

Going over to the seven canisters you quickly screw them all into place and leave the suit to activate the console.

CHEMICAL CANISTERS SECURED
NOW RELEASING CHEMICAL THROUGH ATMOFILTERS

You did it! You released the Re-Agent into the colony! But...did you do it in time? You don't know how long the agent will take to activate. Is it immediate?

What do you wish to do now Dirk?

The chemicals have been entirely drained from the tanks, right? There's no risk of the Monkey coming back and destroying them or anything, is there? If there is, stay here and guard them for the next few minutes. If not, head back up to the surface and get on the line with the Diva to inform them we've dispersed the counter-agent and ask them for a situation report so we know if the nerve agent got anyone before we could engage the neutralizer.

The chemicals are still draining so you decide to stick around to wait till they're finished, removing the possibility of them being destroyed by the Monkey head. Once they're drained you leave for the topside.

Upon getting to street level, you see a Gundam-type mobile suit approaching you, a LEVIATHAN insignia on it.

"Umph. I'm too late." A young female voice says over the comm. "I guess you're really as good as your file says you are."

The suit turns and flies off just as you call out "Hey, wait! Who are you?"

"Yunoa. Yunoa Drace." The girl states, before disappearing from view.

You're tempted to chase after her, but remember the Nerve Gas. You quickly try to contact the Diva and find that the airways are now clear of interference.

"Diva, this is Dirk Crocker. I've deployed the Counter-Agent to the nerve gas. Has it had any effect?"

"This is the Diva. Reports are coming in now, the Counter-Agent is working. The Nerve Gas killed quite a few people, but if could have killed everyone if you hadn't deployed it when you did. Good work Mr. Crocker" One of the operators says with legitimate gratitude.

"What about the others?" You ask.

"The Residential Area is clear of enemy threats, but the North and South docks are being overwhelmed. Max came back for repairs and Arisa is struggling with the remaining colony defense forces at the South Dock. We advise you go there immediately."

What do you wish to do Dirk?

Yes they should, at least to your knowledge they do.

Taking off you make your way to the South Dock and find a line of Dorado's approaching the dock's fortifications. Blow out APC's and the smoldering remains of tanks litter the ground around the dock along with blown out and destroyed Adele's. A handful of Adeles and a badly damaged Adele Stark remain, firing on the Dorado with what little weapons they have left.

If you angle yourself just right you might be able to use your Hy-DODS Rifle to wipe out the entire line of Vagan troops in one shot with minimal risk of damaging the colony thanks to the two burned out office building behind the Vagans.

What will you do Dirk?
>>
>>27835326
Do it. It's time to put the Hy-DODS to some use.
>>
>>27835109
Head for the South Docks. We have Vagans to blast. We still have grenade launchers and the HY-DODS Custom. Provided we grab a beam saber off a destroyed suit we should be fine. And we need some catharsis after those deaths.

Too bad we couldn't stop the gas attack entirely. Sure, it would have been deployed anyway, but I still feel guilty that it was released early because we spooked the saboteurs. Maybe if we had had more time we could have disarmed the canisters properly.

"This is Dirk Crocker, all friendly forces, get the fuck out of my line of fire!" You shout over the comms.

Landing you whip out your Hy-DODS Rifle and take aim. Energy collects between the two firing rails, growing more and more intense by the second until finally releasing in a brilliant pink blast.

By the times the Vagan's turn their heads to look at the light the blast has already met them. Metals melt and warp, ammo and fuel ignites and explodes, flesh burns and eventually disintegrates. The beam goes straight through Vagan forces, vaporizing them and turning the asphalt under what used to be their feet into a black molten bit before colliding with the buildings and dissipating in the cloud of ash and debris as the buildings come crashing down.

As your shot is finish you look to see that the Vagan forces are no more. The Colony Defense Forces stare in awe and bewilderment at the total annihilation of their enemies as Arisa's Razor Stark Adele limps over, heavy damage to it's left foot.

"You really have a thing for dramatic entrances don't you?" Arisa asks with a thankful laugh.

"You should see my Dad, he once rode a falling building into battle once." You say honestly.

You and Arisa spend a few minutes looking for any stragglers when a voice comes in over the comms.

Yunoa is three years younger than Asemu. Emily "died" when Asemu was three. So was she pregnant again at the time, and that's why Flit tried to kill her? Seems plausible. Though there still remains the question of how she got pregnant. Normally I'd assume it was just the standard answer of an extramarital affair. But Emily has shown herself to be remarkably cavalier about harvesting other people's genetic material without permission, so I'm not ready to make assumptions yet.
>>
>>27835557
"This is Vice Admiral Flit of the Earth Federation Forces. To all Federation, Leviathan, and Colony Troops I would like to congratulate you for your success. We have successfully repelled the Vagan forces from taking over Solon. There have been many casualties and much of Solon's Industrial might is gone, however we have succeeded in saving the people of Solon from total extermination. We have also denied the Vagans another foothold in the Earth Sphere. You should all feel proud, but do not get too confident. The real battle is approaching and we all must be ready. However you have proven to the Vagans that we will not yield to them and we will not allow their genocidal rampage to continue. That is all. Good luck and continue the good fight"

Flit's short speech ends and everyone is recalled to the Diva. You return to the Diva and are welcomed by a very happy crew.

The Diva, Amedeus, and Dagon leave the colony carrying the surviving Adele wears with them back to Big Ring. As you journey back Woolf breaks out some champagne and a make shift party is held.

You have a couple drinks and have your fun, but leave the party for a little bit to see the prisoner. Your father told you the story of how he turned Zeke to his side with pancakes, you think maybe you can turn this guy to your side with a drink.

Entering the prison block you see the guard isn't on duty and as you get to the cell holding the prisoner you see a horrifying sight.

The Vagan Prisoner is leaned up against a wall with multiple knife wounds in his chest and the knife sticking out of his head. Blood covers the floor and on the wall behind him is a message written in blood.

"BIG RING WILL FALL AND YOU AND YOUR FRIENDS WILL DIE DIRK."

(And this is where I'll end things)
>>
>>27835563
I don't think Flit would try to kill Emily, she's his oldest friend besides Dique. It's more possible that Flit's career would go to hell if someone found out that he has another son, and that someone (maybe Leviathan?) was blackmailing them both. So they faked her death, Asemu ended up with Woolf while Emily gave birth to Yunoa later on.

God damn it, the Diva has the worst security. Do we even have locks on the doors? I know it was probably the traitor on the team and not an infiltrator, but they still should have had some impediments to killing the prisoner.

>>27835684
Well, one can hope it's something that doesn't involve Flit attempting murder. Like I said, I'm not ready to make any assumptions at this point. There are too many unknowns, and very little Dirk could infer without out of character knowledge.

>>27835800

>>27835782
> the Diva has the worst security
That's actually Zarth HQ.

Anyway, it might as well be an infiltrator aboard. It's possible that it was the traitor on the team, but we probably would've noticed someone acting strange or disappearing. For all we know, there doesn't even have to be a traitor aboard and Leviathan just assumed that because they didn't know Zeheart was a psychic cyborg.

As for Flit and Emily, again, we need more info in order to make any assumptions. Emily said that she did it to protect Asemu, Asemu claims that he saw Flit standing over Emily (not that he killed her, just that she was at the bottom of stairs while he stood there), and that's it.
>>
>>27835858
Nice. I'm looking forward to it.
>>
>>27835864
Yeah, we really need to have a conversation with Emily that doesn't involve her drugging us before we can ask the questions we want to. Seriously, we can't let her keep making cryptic remarks, it only leads us to making wild guesses. Either break your secrecy entirely, or don't do it at all. What she's doing here is just bad operational security. And kind of a jerk move. Asemu was doing fine with his life. Yeah, he had some issues to work out regarding Emily's "death", but he had a loving family, great friends, and at least two girls who like him. Then Emily comes along and stirs up this mess of secrets and lies and it's awful for him. We've seen how worried the thought of it all made him. And it's only going to get worse. By the end of this generation he'll have gotten the revelations that his biological mother is still alive, that Flit is his biological father, that his life is at danger from conspiracies and that he has a sister he never met. That is terrible, and we need to chew Emily out about it the next time we see her. Maybe even lay down a "you don't get to call him your son" line or two. Because come on, Dyson, this is not acceptable.
>>
>>27836053
Yeah, we should really see what's up with that. Then again, she's working for Leviathan, and who knows what what's their deal. Maybe they instructed her to do so in order to tear the Asunos apart? Maybe that's how they got Akito and Yurika aboard - they blackmailed them to join them or they'll expose that Asemu is Flit's son, which explains why Akito hates the living shit out of him.

Either way, Flit falls from his position, the Federation doesn't get reformed, the Olfenoas stay in power and the Federation is screwed as the old families get back their power.
>>
My view on the matter is that Emily faked her death, and could've recruited Flit's help in doing so for whatever reason. On the other hand, this implies somewhat that Flit's involvement in Leviathan is greater than we thought.
As for the whole issue of Asemu and/or Yunoa's lineage, Emily took semen samples from Dirk and Asemu when they were unconscious, right? What's to say she didn't do the same to Flit?
>>
>>27837516
Entirely possible considering what we know. But what was it that had her spooked so much that she had to fake her own death and leave Asemu behind?

As for Flit's involvement with Leviathan, he and Grodek were pretty close 25 years ago, and maybe they still are. Someone in the Federation has to know who's behind Leviathan or what their goal is, and Flit probably has some idea considering how he's a Federation Vice-Admiral and the ex-protege of Leviathan's.supreme commander. Who knows what Flit's gotten himself into - he's not telling.

As for his other kids, Emily confirmed that Asemu "happened" after a one-night stand, so that leaves only Yunoa as the potential test-tube baby. Now, whether she got his permission to be a sperm donor, or they had an affair, we have no idea.
