The 2 processors are carried home in haste by the Terrorguard, with this new information of centaurs, orcs and trolls, there will be much to prepare and fester over.

The guards leading the remaining/alive centaur women and children arrive at the nest, the 3 processors at the nest order the centaur women to be brought to the queens chambers for them to experiment with.
They ask the queen to birth a male species of insect purely for the impregnation of other races, seeing the insect gene as a gift for the lower lifeforms.
They look to the hive queen for what to do with the children.

The queen enthralls the centaurs, easily swaying their minds to her control after the havoc they've endured, while she decides on her next actions.

The entire swarm is once again in the nest.

+Big food stock; upon return from your slaughtering of with the centaur, there are many bodies to go around the nest, food will be in large supply for the next two turns
+Food: Great, until the bodies run out (2 turns)

The swarm wait patiently for their Hive Queens directions, some of the Terrorguard are starting to become restless and agitated, they emerge from their nest at the main entrance hole on the east side of the large volcano.

They let loose a terrifying shreak in unison, it is the screams of the dying centaur they heard earlier.

They part there back plates and take off on their 4 sets of wings, flying around the perimeter of the main volcano looking out for any threats or food.

There is a centaur camp at the jungle tip this side of the mountains, plus wandering orc tribes and a troll clan.

Who do you think we should attack/investigate first?
>>
>>29585226
We should probably finish off the centaurs first Don't want them coming for blood or uniting the races
>>
yeah, i can agree with that. I wonder if we can make some sort of insect/centaur hybrid. Since Centaurs can do the whole breeding with animals thing.
>>
It shouldn't be that hard might take a bit but should be easy Although I have no idea what we'll use them for

basically all I can think is cannon fodder, food or breeding purposes. Physically we are stronger than them and significantly bigger (bout the size of a car iirc), we can fly and its not like we are bipedal. We are pretty much better than them in all ways so im not sure what we can take from them
>>
>>29586060
might be a bad idea to have a mind controlled race be the cannon fodder that's just asking for an Order 66. If we don't want to go full war we might be able to use them as a diplomat
>>
>>29586190
New idea a intelligent strain devoted to mastering new language's in seconds and fully speak for the queen and the hive (aka a diplomacy strain)
>>
>>29586272
Great Idea, But that leaves the centaurs out of a job is food the only thing we can use them for?

Also can we give them that one parasite that cats have
>>
>>29586330
Labor, nurses, milk, auxiliaries, entertainment, gatherers, processor assistants, (also maybe the diplomat strain could look more humanoid and less insect by the I mean bipedal, lack of large mandible, hair, etc.)
>>
>>29586272
Well we pretty much already have a strain that translates languages, Processors, and everyone speaks for the queen/the hive, due to the hivemind. Definitely makes sense to attempt to buff their translation skills, also I imagine that if we breed more of them it might help.
>>
>>29586272
Toxoplasma gondii This is what I was talking about makes people like cats more or something we should give the diplomat bug this
>>29586520
Like the idea of the processor thing why have them be exposed when we can put them on a horse and Then use all that saved energy for more psy stuff
>>
>>29586533
Terror strain an mimic not speak
>>
Bumping just in case OP returns
>>
>>29586625
Hmmm... I like the idea of having a kind of mount for the processors, and queen if she needs to go somewhere. So possibly use the genes of the bulky centaur to create something like >>29586014

I was also thinking of improving (and breeding more) the processors and essentially running the intelligence through them. So they make the tactical decisions and such and direct them. While it would make us vulnerable in some ways it would make us incredibly inscrutable and impossible to surprise. A single scout set upon and murdered, is something we immediately know about that gives us lots of information where in other races its something that is only discovered by their absense.
>>
Additionally, this was our size.

>>Our Queen is currently the size of a Jeep, but grows each shedding.

>>Our workers/Nurses are small car sized and guards a bit bigger than our queen currently.

Our queen has already grown and all our workers are now guards.
>>
>>29586937
So take the bulk and strength genes from centaur and make pack beasts? Also still think oviposition is a handy mutation for our nurses
>>
>>29587145
Yeah but we are insects and ants can carry around 100 times their weight. Insanely more than something like a centaur can. Insects are really pretty OP. at least with the more banal races. Not trying to be a dick and shoot you down a lot btw, just giving my opinion
>>
>>29587210
Could we use them as farmers Give them some plant growing stuff and let them grow food
>>
>>29587252
Hmm well thats a good idea. Im thinking we should mind break them and essentially just lord over them, make them breed/use them to breed.
>>
>>29587210
No prob I jus think the Beatle strain would be a handy thing for long term if we hit a city the diplomat strain would help with allies also how about a ravener strain (scavengers that collect food and could be used as food if need be hatch 50 per egg kind of thing)
>>
>>29587374
We broke them already.
>>
>>29587406
100%? like if we move them outside the hives psy range will they stay loyal
>>
>>29587866
Eh 99.9% they may be iffy but should be one with the swarm(broken)
>>
>>29587918
Does that mean they have hive mind cause if they do then I'm not sure we should eat them
then
>>
>>29587983
Got to go
Also I don't think they are hive minded compleatly
>>
>>29587406
Oh shit I missed that.
Including the fact that we are apparently already working on
>They ask the queen to birth a male species of insect purely for the impregnation of other races, seeing the insect gene as a gift for the lower lifeforms.

>>29587918
Eh, I wouldn't assume that necessarily.
>HivePsy; The Queen is now able to enthrall over sentient races, with her current power, they will need to be weak of mind or spirit(beaten) to enthrall.

Its very possible >>29587866 may be a problem. We don't really have enough info.
I think we may want to try and increase our queens esp so we can solidify control over them, some of those children will grow up into strong willed males.
>>
>>29588040
We could try for psy, However I think we should also try and make them willingly want to serve us probably through some DNA fuckery of sorts
>>
>>29588154
Yeah, kind of alter their dna or the dna of future generations to be part of the hive mind and as such US.
>>
>>29588252
So what will there place be in the hive
>>
>>29588348
I imagine they could just be random farmers and another part of our army. Depending on how it works we could use them as catalysts for super beetleish mounts and just have them breed constantly.
>>
>>29588446
Beetles as a farming force and fighting force sounds good if they farm to we might just want to go for masses of em
>>
So i was thinking about something we could do about enthrallment of faraway people or animals we could get a sort of brain worm thing that a host would swallow or be force fed then it would attach itself to the subjects spine and act like a connection to the queen so she can enthrall them. Perhaps our bugs could force feed it to subjects like the pred-alien did in AvP 2?
>>
>>29588886
Wow I really like that. Could possibly use that to soften up and enemy before we take over.

The Queen comes out of a hibernation and is immediately told by the processors she has been so for a long time and that they have directed the hives actions to the best of their ability, but with the queen in hibernation the strongest connection of the hive link was lost and made things difficult.

The queen sends a pulse of psyconic energy through the hive mind, reigniting her hold over the swarm and instantaneously learning all her children's thoughts and memories over the past day.

It would seem the Processors directed the guards to further expand the Fire lizard hatchery, knowing the male centaur bodies would be a short lived feed.

The guards worked, but not with the same tenacity or vigor as when connect to the Queen.
Never the less, the expansion was a success.
+Giant Fire Lizard Hatchery
The recent expansion of the hatchery has given the Reptile nurses double the room for placing eggs and tending to the reptile young, as a result, food production has doubled.

The Processors in light of the Queen being out of action experimented with some of the Nurses genes in attempt to turn them male, but are certain now a male bug species will have to come into existence via a new egg type if they are to inseminate and hybridize other species into their swarm, taking wanted traits from their hosts genes.
>>
>>29594152
cont.

Through their experiments though, all Nurses have mutated an ovipositor and juvenile egg sac
+Nurse Mutation: Ovipositor & juvenile egg sac
Nurses now have the option of laying eggs into female hosts of other species, majority of races will during the hatching (If you have captive females, breeding may take place as an additional action, their is a very high chance the host will die in the process, you may also choose to breed with the Queen and then addditionally with captives)

The Processors have kept the centaur slaves to do with as the queen pleases and she can see the females and children in the corner of her chambers, weak from hunger and dehydration, they whimper and moan having been free from the Queens hold during her hibernation but kept prisoner by her swarm.

Wal'Thrax hears their screams mentally as she retakes their minds and a blank look overtakes their face, their eyes turning a milky blue as if blind.

Sensing an increase in her consciousness and mind power since waking the queen notices her mind has become a base for the Processors ESP abilities also.
+Hive ESP
If there are no processors, the hive continues to channel the ESP ability through the Queen.
Any insect in any range of the Queens mind gains ESP Mastery
(Previous ESP rules for Processors still apply)

I wouldn't mind seeing some manner of sea-faring evolution. Oceans are ripe with life to feed upon or dominate.

Also, how long is a turn? One day?
>>
>>29595242
Um from what i've seen it definitely seems like the length of a turn is somewhat mutable.
>>
>>29594179
So guys we really need to look into improving the living conditions of the centaurs they will die soon if we don't do anything.
>>
>>29596241
I'm sure we could probably engineer some kind of nutrient rich gruel for them to live off.
Or moss.
>>
>>29596287
Ive been specifically avoiding suggesting a creep like substance... but I kinda want it. Thoughts on whether we should pursue that or try and not totally rip off the Zerg?
>>
>>29596521
So it would be a food source for all of our people to eat and what else?
>>
>>29596550
I imagine it could be a defensive weapon (covering the wall, able to block passage, attack, slowly fill a room with acid and eat enemies) it could also serve as a larger constant esp kinda thing. Who knows. I kinda don't want to do it though
>>
>>29596654
So it is one large living organism that reacts to threats to the hive and such?
>>
>>29596713
Thats what I was thinking. It would originally start out as some sort of fungus that feeds off of _____. make it grow faster/stronger, then make it somewhat sentient (sentience/intelligence linked with size?) then hook it up to hive mind. Then really start specializing it.
>>
>>29596816
Maybe we should hook it up to the hive mind earlier. Instead of its own entity more of a extension of the queens mind made physical.
>>
>>29596860
Oooh well that makes sense. And we could start it off as some sort of parasitic/symbiotic fungus that grows on the queen that is then a part of her, spreads and is then an extension of her.
>>
>>Sounds pretty awesome to me.
>>
>>29596521
I was just thinking along the lines of melting down whatever food is found into a cruel of some kind that is fed to the species under our dominion, and possibly young bugs.
I'm sure the majority wouldn't mind tearing into flesh or grass or whatever else, but an all-purpose food for every species would definitely be useful, since you mightn't know what their diet requires.

I don't really know enough about Zerg to intentionally suggest things that go their way. I just think about the greater swarm in general.
>>
>>29596996
It shouldnt be a problem to standardize our food but pretty much all we eat is firelizards, and as long as the centaurs are not herbivores then they likely can eat the fire lizards.

Also the bugs seeeeem to hatch pretty much fully ready to go.
>>
>>29597214
I also know nothing about the centaur diet, which was the main source of my suggestion.
That and whatever other species we would rather enslave than eat.

You're probably right. I may just be over-thinking things.

The other thing that sticks with me is based upon that I saw earlier in one of the threads. A Princess breed that serves as both a synaptic conduit matching/between Processor and Queen levels, a back-up should the hive ever be invaded, and a possible means to expand the swarm substantially by sending them off to foreign lands.
>>
>>29595054
Just to make a point we should be the centaur some food and water so they don die
>>
>>29597364
How about we star mushroom farms or volcanic plants or corn we can have our workers cultivate some and prioritize the centaur fairs for now u till they are health again
>>
>>29597332
I like what your thinking about the Princess breed.

>>29597364
Agreed.

>>29594152
>>29594179
I say we give the centaurs water and whatever food they need, considering we can probably just take that knowledge from their brains
>>
>>29597405
Yeah, farms of some description were kind of what I was meaning in reference to the moss I mentioned here.
>>29596287

Fire lizards are cool and all, but we'd need to ensure a sustainable food source for a rapidly expanding colony. Heck, I was even mulling over the idea of a dedicated Cattle-type species of insect, possibly even made from the centaur-DNA.

Hey i would like to ask how are the centaurs current living conditions? are they being fed at all?
>>

>>29595234
As the swarm continue to maintain the hive and hatchery, Hive Queen Wal'thrak is locked in deep debate with her 5 processor children.

The processors argue amongst themselves and with the queen in regards to what to do with the weakening centaurs, 2 wish to save them for impregnation via a new bug, while the other 3 maintain the centaurs will not last long enough, especially in the swarms volcanic nest.

Wal'thrak silences her children and decides on trying to breed her Centaur thralls, the Queen has a similar Hive Mind like link with her thralls, though this is not shared with the rest of her swarm. She digs around in their thoughts and memories until she sees how their kind breed, she attempts to mount the young males onto their mothers, but is distraught when the males breeding organ will not replicate that of their older male counterparts.

The way these other species breed confuses Wal'thrak and as she shares the knowledge with the Processors they make high pitched wobbly screeching noises, apparently in disgust.

Together they decide regardless of the centaurs outcome, the swarm will need more brain power and more nurses so the Processors can continue experimenting.
Wal'thrak nestles into her chamber floor and begins to lay
+6 Nurses
+5 Processors

As the processors continue their experiments on the nurses in the chamber, they find a way for the eggs to expel a very oily like substance, with a jelly like texture and that they will only hatch after expulsion from a host.
+Nurse Mutation: Improved Ovipositor & Egg sac allows for the planting of better designed eggs into the host, having the female host lay the egg before it hatching.
There are still chances chances of host death due to ripping and blood loss during the laying, but host survivability has greatly improved.

>>29600619
Knowing her thralls are beginning to teeter with death, she continues to probe there minds for further information about how their species operates.

It seems the Centaurs have a vegetation heavy diet and require fresh water, both things a scare rarity in the lavalands, she sends a group of 10 guards west to the other side of the needle mountains to gather some, implanting the image of particular plants into their minds.
(As the tunnels currently only stretch to the fringe of the needles mountains on our side, the Guards will return next post)

The Processors now strengthend by 5 more have come up with an ingenuous idea, as constantly harvesting vegetation for the centaurs would be inefficient, they suggest feeding the collected food to them, so they can copy the nutritional quality's and experiment with the Nurses once more, to have them feed replicate a gruel like substance to feed the centaurs.

The Queen takes their council on-board, but none of them have come up with a solution as to getting fresh water to the hive, the lava lands being surrounded by saltwater.
-------------------
Hivesplitters can currently put eggs into hibenation, holding them till needed(As a back up generation, or shock troop transport), but we currently have no means of doing such a thing with other 'hatched' races.
>>
>>29600801
Absolutely I can, hopefully it's still going though! haha

Provide water and proper food to the centaur and once they are sufficiently recuperated, send them back to their old lair. They are obviously too fragile to survive in our volcanic home and letting them die now would be a waste of resources.
Send some worker and processors along with them with order to turn the old centaur lair into a proper hive. It shall be our staging point for when we start expanding to the west later.

No problem man you deserve such compliments ha ha. Anyway before i leave i'll just say that perhaps in the future we could mutate a bug that take sin salt water and splits it into fresh water and salt to be used as the base for acid then we could maybe get acid shooters. I'm too tired to make this into an official vote to do it so i'm just throwing out an idea. And if we do >>29600864

The guards return to the hive, gaining in speed the closer they are to Walk'thrak, as they approach her chambers, they leave a large assortment or different plants and vegetables at the entrance for the Nurses to carry in.

Against the decision of the Processors, Wal'thrak has her thralls ingest the vegetation put before her and with no means of transporting water from the other side of the mountain, decides to have one of the Reptile Nurses bring recently laid eggs and has the Centaurs ingest what liquid they can from them.

After being fed and ingesting fluid from the unhatched Fire Lizard eggs, the thralls are still to frail for the Queens needs, she sends 20 Guards along with 5 Processors to escourt them back to the sight of their capture, as they travel across the needle mountains the Queens hold weakens and the Centaurs come to their senses, the women scream and yell in their unknown language and begin to run off into the mountains.

Unphased the Guards continue on, picking up the wingless Processors and flying the remainder of the way to the battle site.
Thanks to the processors being with the workers, the Queen still holds an iron grip control over her children as if they were in their home hive via the hive link.

She sets them about digging a new nest to be used as an outpost on this side of the mountains, in no time their network of tunnels connects to those on the lavalands side.
+You can now travel to and from either side of the needle mountains in one turn

The new hive is currently very basic, consisting of a private chamber for the processors and a large compound for the guards stationed there.

Huh, I though that the Processor would have been enough to keep control of all the prisoners but apparently not.

Can we mutate the Processors so they'll become living relay point for the Queen's ESP ? That way she'll be able to use her full psychic power even over long distance ?

Otherwise, establish strong defensive positions in the Needle Hive. Security come first and foremost, especially if the female centaur managed to get in touch with their remaining settlement.

C. We need to replenish the our guard amount in the main hive after sending 20 to the new one

Mutation:The princess unit someone suggested in the last thread, a mini queen who could help establish new nests and such.
>>
>>29601181
(Quick note, currently Queen Wal'thrak was the only one able to enthrall and thralls had to be in range of her mind to control, looks like this will be soon remedied though)

While the processors and Queen at the home hive are locked in deep debate over the future of the hive, the 5 processors at Needle Mountain hive can't stop thinking about how easily the centaurs escaped and how dangerous it could be if a thrall were to stray out of the Queens control, also the danger they could be in with the centaurs running away before.

They pool their consciousness and for hours you could hear a pin drop in their chambers, their brains begin to pulse suddenly as they focus all their attention on Wal'thraks mind, Wal'thrak noticing and figuring out her young Processors plans allows them into forbidden parts of her mind temporarily and all Processors successfully mutate their brains to extend Wal'thraks thrall control through themselves
+Processor Mutation: Wal'thraks Hive Psy ability has been extended to the processors.

The young processors at the needle hive emerge from their chambers to see the their workers had been busy under the older Processors sway, reinforcing and creating new tunnels to confuse any silly enough to wander in to the hive.

The younger Processors feeling they have more to prove, use their Psy powers to manipulate the entrance to their nest. What appears to be flat ground and centuries trodden dirt opens into a massice whole whenever an insect wishes to enter or leave the hive.

Okay, so in order :

-Have some of our Guards scout around the Needle Hive. Observation only.
-Re-enthrall the centaur children. Maybe we can use them as bait later on to trap the remaining centaurs.
-Develop some new strain capable of producing eggs so the Queen isn't the only one able to breed.
-Produce more Guards.
>>
>>29601506
(Cheese Monkeys Roll- 30, great name haha)
Wal'thrak commands 10 of the Needle Mountain Guards to scout the area, though they know the landscape of the island from the Processors mind mapping, this was a few days ago and the insects slaughter of the centaurs has no doubt caused much movement.

The entrance to the hive creeps open, like sand in an egg timer and the guards zip out of the tunnel on their wings.

This side of the mountains is much more fertile, their are fruits, small tress, plants and it is evident there is much more wildlife.

The guards fly towards the large mountain just north west of the nest, as they approach they see a lone orc at the base of the mountain, smashing at it with two giant mauls.

Hivesplitters lay 1 egg per hivesplitter per day of your choice, it will automatically go into incubation until you choose to hatch it.

Firespitters go straight to hivesplitters now, so disregard the eggspitter bit

Well, let's see then we should have a couple of the Guard keep an eye on the lone Orc and follow him back to his home. STEALTHILY. Have the rest resume their patrolling, making finding local source of meat a priority.

Have some of the Guards gather some of these fruits and determine just how nutritive they are to our species.

Seeing the orc through the Hivelink, Walk'thrak and the processors in her chamber look at each other with a quizzical tilt of the head, trying to understand the creatures behavior.

Two of the guards make a slow descent onto a cliff face above the orc, him oblivious to their landing due to the giant whacks of his mauls on the mountain side. Lucky, as Guards are certainly not known for their stealth.

The remaining 8 guards return to Needle Hive and join the others in digging a large incubation chamber, possibly a sign the Processors are thinking to turning some Firespitters into Hivesplitters for residents of the new hive, this would certainly boost the swarms numbers rapidly. Workers in the home hive, replicate the design.
+Incubation Chambers

The building of these chambers has Wal'thraks egg sac pulsing with excitement it heats up and a giant clutch of eggs spills forth from her.
+10 Guards
+3 Firespitters
-Food dangerously low

Needle Hive Guards pour out of their hive pushed by their processors thoughts and start collecting all sorts of plants and fruits, they determine their nutritional value if any to them by practice, it would appear many of the fruits contain natural poisons deadly to our swarm and a few guards are lost due to ingesting too much of the toxin, they are successful in finding 2 fruits that will suit their needs perfectly, a large watermelon sized fruit, but its spikey, yellow and other races would say it smells of vomit, the second is like a banana, but purple and more boomerang shaped, many small insentient insect species infest these, adding to their nutritional value.
-3 Guards
+Rananarang fruit
+Chomit fruit

The two guards watching the orc have been doing so for nearly 5 hours now and he is deal pounding at the mountainside.

Wal'thrak shakes her head as she watches her two guard children on the cliff watching the orc attempting to stay out of site, fair, it would be a hard task for any jeep sized bug to remain hidden, still she is determined to know what this orc is up to.
In fear of a more intelligent race coming along and spotting her children, Wal'Thrak takes control of all the Processors thought power and the 2 guards begin to mutate furiously at an astounding rate, new cells form under their chitin, as the chitin itself becomes sleeker, light and more transparent, now able to immitate its surroudnings, the rate of mutations makes them slightly unstable and they reduce in size, but their wings expand and become more aerodynamic making for silent flight.

The other 9 guards come to the one by the new beasts, the herd makes a circle with the 6 mature males standing at the front barking and occasionally roaring like an elephant at the guards.

As the first guards move forward, the mature males charge at front most one, colliding in a massive force sending the guard over, the beasts stomp, gore and bite at the exposed underside eventually ripping the guard open
-1 Guard

Then the beasts make a mistake and attempt to take on your guards one on one, your guards make quick work, using their multiple arms to pick the creatures up by all fours and bite furiously at their bellies, the beasts roar in pain until their guts pour out onto the earth.

Your workers round up the rest of the beasts, on their way back the remaining Needle Hive Workers beginning digging a chamber for the beasts.

After nearly an entire day and night of watching the orc pound away, the Needlers reward comes in the dead of night at 3am.

A stone door in the mountain swings open, but inwards like the top of a split barn door.
An Orc pokes out his head, he is giant, muscular. His face a strange mix of a dark near black green and red with fury-
"OI! WHY ARE YAH BANGIN' ON ME MOUNTAIN"
The other orc, slightly smaller in size, but his skin a lighter green looks him dead in the eyes and smacks a maul either side of the other orcs head, who drops knocked out over the rock opening, the other orc jumps over his body and into the mountain.

Your Needlers swoop down and see inside to reveal an entire city is inside this mountain, there are orcs everywhere.

Meanwhile at the hive, Wal'thrak finally succumbs to the Processors request of a new egg.
All the processors pools their thoughts into the queens egg sac as she designs her newest child for the swarm.
Wal'thrak's egg sac bulges and she bulges, as if being pumped up with a balloon. Then a sticky substance like tar spews out along with a single black egg.

As it hatches it shows it has a bipedal exoskeleton, it has 2 sets of its races wings, but the top pair are long as a needlers.
It's chitin looks hard like a terrorguards, but is much more fitted to it, almost like a suit of armour. The strangest mutation by far, its size, it stands only 7ft tall, the smallest of the swarm.
+1 Courter
+New Bug/Egg type: Courter: Nearly as strong as a terrorguard and nearly as fast as a needler, the Courter makes a good fighter, but it's real use is to inseminate females of others races with the insect gene, giving birth to hybrids.

The Lapirs at Needle Hive are starting to get restless, they need food and water, Wal'thrak commands 3 of her nurses to head to Needle Hive, once their the Needle Processors makes some minor mutations to the Nurses, the first of the Nurses strain to forgo its heating sacs, they are instead replaced by stomachs and the previous eggsacs store the gruel which this Nurse creates by eating Rananarang and Chomit.
-3 Nurses
+3Lapir Nurses

Wal'thrak learning from her previous mistakes has learnt of the softer races desperate need for a constant water supply, spurring her to have workers fly south to the small lake just south of Needle Hive and begin tunnelling this source back into a giant pool for the Lapir.
+Food:Good
The Lapir Lair will produce a steady stream of lapirs now, both hives are able to operate on each others food source currently.

>It will take 2 turns until workers find a route through lavalands which doesn't evaporate water on the way to the home hive.

The Processors summon the home hive firespitters to the queen chambers, they've barely entered before the processors use their terrifying Psy abilities to put the Firespitter through a rapid metamorphasis.

Our Nurses are what make insects immediately useable after being laid and give a higher chance for more eggs when the queen lays if in her chamber.

Likewise in a way with Lapir Nurses.

With possible population booms looming on the horizon, Wal'thrak's mind recalls shards of memories from the earlier centaur captives, they were breeding animals themselves. She takes the mind power of her 5 elder processors and pieces the shards together.
+Animal Husbandry
Thanks to a rogue memory of a tortured centaur female, Reptile, Lapir & future nurse breeds will pair creatures with better genetic qualities and behaviors, greatly increasing Live food production.

Fearing the worst for the aquaduct expansion into the home hive, the processors manipulate the firespitters egg so future breeds can also use their sacs to store and filter the salt water from their home into fresh water for transportation.

C. Have our Courter attempt to mutate a Lapir into some sort of immensely large beetle. End result should be a beetle large enough for the queen to ride on comfortably. A siege beetle of sorts.

Mutation: Increase processor linking capabilities. Making it so that the more processors there are the more efficient they become. Multiple processors are greater than the sum of their parts.

Also what are the limits of the processor psy cannons? guy i invited asked this.
>>
Rolled 49

>>29603905
>>+Processor mutation: Psy; your Processors are able to unleash a terrible bolt of energy through the power of the hive link, it's power would be akin to a cannons on the battlefield.

Regular cannons aren't exactly the most versatile in regular combat either, these can at least run away or fluidly target new attackers. So like cannons, but a LOT more versatile. Doesn't really matter if they're weak and small if they can see and fire upon enemies several hundred meters away.
And presumably a LOT more accurately than medieval cannons, what with their super-senses.
>How quickly can they fire those blasts, then? >>>Once a day, or about as often as a regular cannon?

Food seems to be the bottleneck for our rapid expansion.
That means we should try to start planting and farming these fruits!
Are we doing that?
We should do that!

Also, suggestion for new mutation: A honeypot breed that is able to digest nearly anything (leaves, trees, grass?), extract nutrients and then vomit it up for the hive to parttake in.

Also suggestion for mutation economy system: Each additional mutation beyond, say, the first three beyond baseline, add to the time the insect has to spend in egg form as more complex insects takes more time to spin from the basic form.
And hail! Mathrian enlightened me to this Quest and it's looking like a lot of fun so far.
Could hardly believe my ears when I heard of getting psi-blasts with the power of friggin' cannons in something as versatile as a SMALL creature that has absurdly good senses (to help with aim and Detecting).
>>
>>29603939
Hmm I see what your saying, well the Processors have increased in power anyway because of Hive Psy, so I'll define it more

Processor mutation: Hive Psy; Your processors serve as another link between thralls, allowing Wal'thrak hold over thralls out of her personal range. (Wal'thrak still personally controls all thralls and sees their thoughts/memories until/if shared.)

Additionally Processors are able to unleash a devasting bolt of energy through the power of the live, its aim its deathly accurate due ESP and with their current power, take 15 seconds to calm their mind between firing.
This range we'll say is that of a canon, but as stated can aim at anything around it in range.

I'd like to vote for C: Breed a honeypot-like insect that can digest nearly anything and process it into food for the hive, or B: Begin construction plantations to grow our own food.

All to expand the bottleneck that seems to be food production right now.

The Needlers waiting at the mountain are shocked to see an orc after a couple days finally come and close the open mountain door. They return to Needle Hive and scuttle straight to the Lapir Lair.

Down there they see the Courter as already arrived, but with different plans to the Needlers. While they pounce on a lapir each and rip it open from the belly to chow down, the see the Courter has a female Lapir pinned against the Lair wall by the throat, it's make whining, goat like noises. The Courters insemination organ slides out from its mouth; a long slimy and prehensile tongue that he forces into the Female Lapir.

After about 20 seconds he places it softly on the ground and the Lapir Nurses crowd around, attempting to feed the animal.

The Older and younger processers have stopped arguing on subjects for the first time since the younger ones laying. A moment of peace comes across the hive mind. The minds of the processors begin to understand that they are not younger, olderer, or serperate, they are The Processor.
+Processor Mutation: Improved Hive Link, the more Processors you have the more powerful and effective their abilities and mutations become, this is especially true if they are close together

Reformating per Mathrians suggestion:
>>29603779
>C: Mutation: Mutate a honeypot-ant like insect-breed that can digest nearly anything, extract nutrients and concentrate it into a honey-like slurry that is then vomited back up to serve as long-term food storage for the hive.

>B Construction: Begin construction plantations to grow the two fruits we found.

So hi Subprocessor, welcome to the hivemind, pleasure to have you with us, hope we can have some fun :D

Sorry for any misspelling and/or missing, repeating words, it's nearly 5am

With Wal'thrak and the Processors working in much more calmer unity now, the whole Swarm has benefited via the Hivemind.

Wal'thrak sees a worker and nurse in the lower tunnels of the hivemind crawling over each other to get past and is reminding of hybrids.

She shares her thoughts with the processors and together they bring a new egg into the chamber, the queens Egg Sac changes colours like a kaleidoscope and spits out 3 eggs, They appear to be rotten at first, but as they hatch the inside of the egg is like the queens egg sac before and her new children crawl forth.
+3 Gruel Guard
+New Bug/Egg: With the last memories of her poor dying children that ate the poisonous plants, Wal'thrak has made the Gruel Guard able to digest these plants due to digestive sacs able to detoxify and extract the nutrition, with a large storage sac for storing the resulting gruel which they expel anytime for the rest of the swarm to consume. Slower and less combat effective than the guard, but provide a constant food source where vegetation is available.

Wal'thrak can not recall anything of growing plants from the centaurs memories she probed, the Processors will pool their consciousness together on this issue in the mean time.

Meanwhile the pregnant Lapirs stomach begins to bulge with the passing days, The Lapir nurses tend to her constantly, this creature will soon be born.

Also how are you doing? Planning on taking a break fairly soon?

Also what population can we maintain at this point? Im not sure which Is why I havent voted to hatch the hivesplitter eggs
>>
>>29604698
We're not aware of how plants propagate? Huh, then that should be our next research subject, methinks.

And awesome! Let's tunnel our way to some vegetation (unless we have some right outside the nest) and have our new Gruel Guard start harvesting.
They should probably begin with what plants are already sickly, so that we do not leave the terrain entirely bare.

Maybe we should start setting traps/ambushes for orcs as well?
Having reliable food sources is gokd, but meat provides a faster boost of proteins (I think).

I'm good man, tired, to be honest I might crash out now, as much as I love to shake my fist at the sun, I think I might try and dream about what on earth our Lapirs gonna birth.

It's also a good cliffhanger I reckon. haha

It's great to have you on board Sub, I can see your gonna be just as awesome a contribution to the hive as Mathrian, loving your brain already.

Have a truly awesome/day night guys, if you have any more ideas, post them in here before archiving, because I take them all on.

I'll make a new thread tomorrow, I'll announce it and when I've live :)

That 100 saddens me. Especially considering the two double 1s you had earlier lol

Well, if it makes you feel any better im enjoying a lot of your ideas as well. Want to brainstorm some? Might possibly be able to make use of that 100 if QM choses to bestow his grace upon you.
