Okay, deep breaths. This is the worst situation that I've ever been in, but deep breaths. I'm a big girl, I can handle this.

While trying to keep from looking at any of the horrible scene around me, I slowly step around Marcus and Andy and out of the kitchen entirely... and then once I'm far enough that nobody can see me, I slap myself like ten times.

Keep yourself together.

When you freak out, bad things happen.

"Mina!" I shout at the top of my lungs once I think I've kind of gathered my nerves. "Mina, where are you!?"
"R... right here!" Mina shouts back as she walks into the hallway where I am. "What, did it get worse?"
"NO," I shake my head. "But did you call for an ambulance yet?"

Mina simply nods with tears in her eyes... great, that means that we just need to wait for the people who actually know what they're doing to show up.

"Cecile?" Mina grabs my hand. "What do we do now? What the hell's even going on?"
"I dunno," I say, shaking my head. I want to reassure her...

...no, that's a lie. The only thing I want to do right now is hug Mina as tight as I can and collapse into a weeping mess, but that can wait.

"I dunno," I reply. "I haven't felt any Synapses, so I don't think it's possible for him to be in range..."

But maybe someone's outside.

"Where're you going?" Mina calls out as I shake free of her grip and head for the door.

Just as Marcus yelled that, I start to hear the sound of an oncoming siren... FINALLY. Now I know what Mina means when she complains about response times.

As Mina runs to the front of the house to answer the door, I follow behind her and stand out of the way so they can get by. I guess Mina told them where to go, as they run right past me in a beeline straight for the kitchen.

After a few minutes, the EMTs come back with Andy, with Marcus right behind them.

"Oh yeah," I say, rushing into the bloody kitchen and coming right back with a bowl. "Um, this is the tongue that he cut off... is there any way to save it?"
"We'll see what we can do," an EMT replies. "Thanks, you did good."

After taking the bowl from me, they bring Andy outside and load him into the ambulance. Then Marcus gets inside as well, and- hey, wait a minute!

"What about us!?" Mina shouts. "We're his friends too!"
"Sorry, but none of you are actually the victim's family and your brother here is the only one who was present when he harmed himself," the EMT replies. "We don't really have enough space in here to fit all of you."

"It's okay," I say. "Marcus has his phone, we can always call him to find out what's going on with them."
"I guess," she mumbles.

Having successfully shaken us off, the EMTs hop into the ambulance, turn on their sirens, and speed off. I hope they didn't come so late that the surgeons won't be able to reattach Andy's tongue... if that's even possible to begin with.

"god damn it, today is just..." TMina takes a deep breath. "I guess I'll had inside and clean up all the blood before my parents come back and lose it," she mumbles. "You don't have to stick around if you don't want to, I know this is really fucked up."

"No, I'll stick around and help," I say. "It wouldn't be right to leave you alone like this."

Mina doesn't even say anything in response, she just hugs me as tightly as she can. Doing my best to keep from crying, I just hug her back and keep on until she's had her fill. Then we head back inside to clean up the mess. Along the way, Mina makes a pitstop at the bathroom and comes out with two boxes of brand-new rubber gloves, the type that you use to wash dishes with.

"Gotta stay safe and all that," Mina says as she tosses me a box.
"I guess you have a point there," I reply as I open it up and put the gloves on.

Then Mina fishes out a large bucket and bottle of bleach cleaner and fills it up, then brings it and a bunch of rags into the kitchen.

This is really going to suck to clean up, but it's not like I can leave Mina to handle this on her own.

After letting out a long sigh, I make my way to the door and Open it... and am met with a very concerned Charlotte.

"Cecile!" Charlotte exclaims. "I started over here as fast a I could, but there was traffic and then I realized that running at top speed would draw undue attention so I had to slow down some..." she mumbles. "But anyways, are you alright!?" she says, placing her hands on my shoulders.

Dammit, I want to hug her so bad right now. But I don't want to ruin her dress like my clothes are ruined.

But still, I feel a lot safer now that she's here.

"He is -such- a brownnoser," Charlotte says with a sigh as she places a hand to her forehead. "Sorry that you had to deal with that, he's become a general hazard of staying at this hotel."
"So I've noticed," I mumble.

After the long elevator ride up, Charlotte slides her keycard in the door to her room and lets me inside.

"Hiiii, Milla~" Charlotte sings as she races over to her giant kitty and gives her a big hug. "I know I scared you with the way that I ran out, but everything's A-okay, see!"

Then she points to me.

"Cecile's doing just fine!" Charlotte says. "And she's going to be staying over again, too!"

As Milla purrs (I can feel the floor vibrating under my feet), that huge owl from before flies overhead and lands on the floor beside Charlotte.

"And hello to you, Raccy!" Charlotte says as she pets the huge fluffy owl. "Cecile's going to be spending the night, so why don't you say hi1"

The owl turns to me and then right back to Charlotte, letting out a long hoot.

And Charlotte's face goes red.

"N- no, it's nothing like-" Charlotte stammers. she's extra cute when she's embarassed...

I actually fell asleep for about twenty minutes during the last thread because of things that make me angry, but I generally keep better control of myself than that. Under normal conditions, I don't sleep until the end of the thread.
