Hello and welcome to the fifth thread of Digimon Quest. The rules are simple. You reply with the letter of the choice you wish to support. There are ten minutes between the latest post and when voting ends. If a vote that needs a roll wins, the rolling will happen AFTER it wins with a best 2 out of 3. If multiple options tie at the end of the ten minutes of voting they will either be combined or a tiebreaker will be held to decide. That's about it.

"Right. Wormmon. Sorry about that. You haven't seen anyone named Jacob come through here, have you?" You ask, hoping it isn't the type to get offended over you ignoring it like that.
"I can't say I've ever heard of a Jacobmon." Wormmon says, tapping one of its talon's against its head in thought.
In some part of you that you didn't know you had, you'd been expecting this to happen eventually. "No no. Just Jacob. A human, like us. About so tall, wearing a gray hoodie." You hold a hand up for about how tall Jacob looked to you, Jordan snickering behind you over the Jacobmon thing.
"Oh you're humans? I thought you were just a couple of short Mummymon." For some reason Betamon finds this funny, giggling to himself before Wormmon continues. "Although, I do know someone in the village was talking about running into some humans. She might be able to help you out."

A. Ask Wormmon exactly what Egg Village is.
B. Ask Wormmon who it was that mentioned humans and if he could lead you to them.
C. Ask Jordan if he knows who might be working with Jacob.

Maybe noon is a bit early for a thread. I'll just wait for a vote or two and if this falls off, I'll try again later I guess.

"Before we go find this Digimon, I have a question Wormmon." Wormmon stops in his tracks, about to lead you to them, and turns back around to face you. "I was wondering, what exactly IS this place? We were told it was the Egg Village, but what exactly does that mean?"
Wormmon looks surprised before letting out a small chuckle. "I guess humans wouldn't know would they? Well, when a Digimon is destroyed, so long as their data isn't absorbed by another Digimon, it comes back as an egg somewhere here. It'll later hatch and have another chance at life. Now then, come along." Wormmon turns and walks away from your group at the gate. Needless to say, you follow.
"Of course that's not all we do were. I'm here as a caretaker since new born Digimon can't really take care of themselves you know. Some though have started coming here as a refuge. It's getting more dangerous out there as of late." As you walk further in you pass by some rather crude homes, a menagerie of scared rookie and champion Digimon inhabiting them.
You don't get much further when you feel Jordan grab your shoulder, forcing you to stop. "Dude, we might be in trouble." Keramon and Betamon both stop, now on edge and looking around. Wormmon stops just a few feet ahead, confused as to why you aren’t following anymore. It only takes a moment before you see it; a Petermon is walking up to you and seems very familiar. You and Jordan brace yourselves ready for a fight, while Keramon and Betamon seem to relax.
It's rather anti-climactic, Petermon walks by with just a small greeting and heads into one of the houses.


A. Ask Keramon and Betamon why they didn't attack.

C. Ask Wormmon if that was the Digimon he was talking about.

"If you guys aren't going to do anything I will." You huff and walk away from Keramon and the others, following after Petermon. Jordan moves to follow you, but Keramon stops him. You can't make out what he said, but fine. If he doesn't want to confront the Digimon that had him locked up, you will. "Hey, Petermon! Hold up!"
She stops at the doorway to one of the houses, turning and giving you what you think is a confused look. "Yes? What do you want?" Oh forget confused, she's kind of pissed. hard to tell with the hair and mouth covering.
You walk right up to her, one hand in your pocket and holding tight to your Digivice. "Ok, I get it. We took you out and you ended up here. But no counterattack? Not even a sorry to Jordan or to Betamon? What's your game?"
You don't really get an answer; she looks more pissed before taking a step back and slamming the door in your face. "No sense of decorum. Well, it seems it falls on me to teach you once again human." Turning around, you see Keramon decided to follow after stopping Jordan. "Once you've gone through the whole, death and Digiegg process, we tend to let past sins slide. You're a new Digimon after all. The sins of your data shouldn't be help against you. It is odd though, I swore I ate her data after we defeated her." Keramon pauses hand under his shin as though deep in thought.

A. Try and apologize to Petermon.
B. Tell Keramon about the 'release' function in your Digivice.
C. Rejoin the group and move on to where Wormmon was leading you.

You decide you can deal with this whole Petermon thing one way or the other later. For now, you might as well get back to the reason you're here. "Come on Keramon." You walk back to the group, catching the end of Betamon's own explanation of the whole Digiegg thing to Jordan. You get the feeling he doesn't quite buy it.
Wormmon meanwhile is giving you both a bit of the stink eye though. Seems he does agree with the philosophy. "Well if you're done harassing the locals, can we please continue?" Hearing no objections he leads you further into the village. The crude homes continue, but there are now what almost look like gardens full of Digieggs. "The Digimon I was telling you about is one of the ones that moved here recently. I think she lived up in the mountains before getting attacked. Ah there she is."
Up ahead is what looks like a tall yellow dinosaur with quite the mane going on. It is perhaps the most metal Digimon you've seen so far. Which is why the shy voice catches you by surprise. "Y-yes? What is it Wormmon? Th-these humans are with you, right?" Her eyes start darting back and forth before Wormmon tells her that you are with her and just curious about her human encounter. "Oh, it was just terrible. I was just minding my own business when a frightful human and a Waspmon attacked me out of nowhere. Something about 'grinding for data'. I barely got away and decided it was best if I came here."


A. Ask her exactly who she is and which way these mountains are.
B. Describe Jacob to her and ask if that was the human.
C. See if your Digivice has any information on a 'Waspmon'.

"Thanks for your help ..." You trail off, waiting for her to finish. Naturally Keramon doesn't say anything, just waiting to see if you'll put your foot in your mouth.
The yellow Digimon finally seems to calm down from her initial fright and smiles. "I'm a Growlmon and you're welcome." She extends a claw out, giving you a good view of the odd symbols on her arms. It takes a moment though for you to realize she was expected a handshake.
You hesitantly comply before asking your next question. "By the way, in what direction were these mountains? We'd like to check this out." You were about to pull your hand back when her other claw joins the first, entrapping your hand and the handshake gets much faster.
"Oh thank you! Thank you! If that human girl gets driven out of there, I can finally go back home!" You feel as through your arm is going to fall off before she realizes she's shaking you and pulls her arms back with an 'eep'. "Umm, well the mountains I'm from are just past the savannah. You should run into her there."


A. Ask her is she's sure it was a 'her' and not Jacob.
B. Go to explore the village more, it could be interesting.
C. Ask Wormmon if there have been alot of Digimon attacked by humans lately.
D. Ask Jacob and the others what they think your next move should be.

You thank Growlmon for her help before she goes off into one of the nearby houses. You then ask Wormmon is that's a common reason for coming here. "Well, it didn't used to be, but more and more Digimon are. Either on their feet or sometimes as eggs." He motions to a nearby patch of Digieggs. "Those showed up a bit before Growlmon did so I think they might have been up in the moutains too. Besides there, I've heard Digimon have been going missing at the beach. I've also heard some odd rumors about the city north of the plains." Wormmon sighs and plays with his talons. "I'm afraid anything I can really tell you depends on word of mouth or Digimon surviving long enough to come back as Digieggs."
You thank him before Jordan speaks up. "I think, no matter what, we should take care of Petermon first. I'm no Digimon man, so I don't really 'get' this whole live and let live thing." He pulls his knock-off Google Glass turned Digivice out of his bag and puts it on. "I mean, she had me in a goddamn cage dude."
"No no no! I don't care if you don't 'get it'." Keramon interjects, getting right into Jacob's face. "This is how we live. If it wasn't for this you'd have Digimon being hunted down the moment they were hatched. We aren't the same people we were before we come back. I say we check out this beach. It'd be a welcome break from the heat of the desert we'll have to head through anyway."

A. Go across the desert area and check out the beach disappearances.
B. Go apologize to Petermon.
C. Go and confront Petermon for her past crimes.
D. Go and check out the mountains where Growlmon is from.
E. Head back through the forest to check out the city on the planes.

"Sorry Jordan, but they're right. If it's not the same person then this would be like beating up a random stranger just because they have the same name as someone we don't like. I'm gonna go apologize." Jordan looks ready to argue, but you're already on your way back to the house Petermon was in. He just sighs and follows along. It's an uneventful walk back to the home. As you stop at the front door you take a moment to collect yourself before knocking on the door.
The door opens, Petermon looking surprised that it's you at the door and about to close it again. "I'm sorry." She stops and keeps the door open, waiting. "I didn't know about the whole ... egg thing. I was nervous you were back and going to fight us again. Humans don't really do that sort of thing."
You wait in silence as she just stands there, presumably thinking about it. Jordan starts to fidget behind you, either impatient or still thinking that you need to fight here again. "It's ok. I guess I can't blame you for not knowing human. Still, I'd rather not have to talk about it or to you, again."
She closes the door the moment she finishes talking, leaving you and Jordan just standing there. "Wow, what a bitch." Jordan says before shrugging. "I guess some things don't change."

"Well, I guess we'd better check out the beach. If nothing else, we've been here like ... what? 2 days now without a shower?" You ask, practically feeling the grime on you. Jordan's expression mirrors your own as you start walking.
"What's a shower?" Betamon whispers to Keramon who simply shrugs before picking the small creature up. "I haven't the foggiest." Soon enough the lush grass ends and the desert begins. The air heats up and the sun grows more unforgiving.
"Why don't you two have ice or water powers or somethin'? I hate the heat." Jordan moans out as the desert continues its merciless attack of existing. "I mean shit, Betamon. You look like you belong in the water anyway."
You all continue in silence until Betamon speaks up. "W-well I mean I can." It hops down from Keramon's grip before summoning a pillar of water up out of the parched ground, it topping 3 feet above your heads with the runoff from the top creating a cool mist in the air. "I was wondering why you hadn't asked."
The rest of the trek is much nicer, filled with cool and moist air until you crossover the edge of the area and into the beach. Suddenly the course sand is much smoother, the air filled with a delightful breeze, and palm trees dot the landscape. In the distance you can see a cabana on the water. You can also hear the sound of laughter further down the beach.


A. Head to the cabana.
B. Try to find the people laughing and ask them about the disappearances.
C. Explore the beach without being seen, the laughter and house could be a trap.
D. Write in.

Keramon takes the initiative, motioning for you to follow as he makes his way down the beach and toward the voices. You take offense, having started to see yourself as the defacto leader of the group, but then you remember your apparently grave offense back in the egg village and let Keramon have this one. The waves are high and lap at your ankles as your party makes its way down the beach, the laughter growing louder.
As you crest a hill you see a pretty odd sight, what looks like a girl painted blue playing with a weird seal creature. Before you can pull out your Digivice you see Jordan is already on it. "It says here it's a Ranamon and Gomamon." He says, tapping the side of his glasses. "I think I'll handle the identification from now on man."
"Oh wonderful! Another Digimon of lineage!" Keramon says, almost bursting with joy as he approaches the pair. "Hello and good afternoon you two. My name is Keramon and these are my human and his friends. We were just passing by when we heard your laughter and felt we had to come say hello!"
The pair pauses, looking shocked to see anyone else before both get very large smiles. Its at this moment you notice both wearing little gold trident pins. Ranamon puts her arms behind her back, large smile still plastered on her face as she walks up to Keramon. "Well tell me Keramon, have you heard of the guardian goddess AncientMermaimon?"

That is it for today. I know I tend to run about 5 hours, but today's will have to be a bit short.
