Standing next to John's closet, you LINGYIN HUANG, wonder what is just wrong with them. John being kidnapped is a bit much. Sure, he may be the only male IS pilot from America, but no one is that stupid. You look on at Cecilia, Laura, Charlotte and Houki being barely able to keep themselves together at Laura's statements. Seriously, what is wrong with them all.

“I think you are all over reacting.” you flatly state, now back to going through John's closet.

“What do you mean OVER REACTING?” Cecilia asks you in an escalating voice.

You just give that 'Really?' look in return. Cecilia completely misses this and begins to pace while thinking.

“We need to make sure we have the right people. We need to collect all the information we can so we can save John.” Houki tells everyone and a long thoughtful look.

“Agreed.” Laura replies with confidence. “I have a report of all the potentially enemies that may come after my husband in my room. “ Laura adds, now leaving for her room.

“Seriously?” you ask incredulously.

“Of course. I've had Clarissa and my unit make regular reports on it.” Laura answers you just before she closes the door.

You sigh, they really are crazy.

A devious thought crosses your mind. You can't help but for a devious smile to show.

Oh, this will be too good. You giggle a bit to yourself as you grab some jelly beans. You walk over to Cecilia, now intently listening to her phone. You lean in close so you can also hear it. This is going to be good. You hear some ringing, so you pop in a single jelly bean so savor it's flavor. Mmmm, a banana jelly bean.

“Hello? This is Mary Smith.” you hear a female voice over the phone ask.

“Mother-in-law, this is Cecilia Alcott. We heard there was a family emergency but John didn't leave us a message. And he hasn't been responding to our calls. We are wondering if you know where he?” Cecilia asks.

“What?” she replies,you hear a crack in her voice.

“John has yet to answer his phone and he hasn't returned to his room yet. We are dreadfully worried about him.” Cecilia explains.

You think you can hear the phone tremble in her hand for a moment before you hear her yelling, “JAKE, WHERE THE FUCK IS MY BABY JOHN?”

What? This doesn't sound good. If his mother doesn't know where he is, then was he really kidnapped? You hear some running and jostling before some more yelling.

All you hear after that is some struggling and eventually the line goes dead. You look at Cecilia and you can see she shares the same feeling of dread as you do. You both turn to Charlotte, who's face is completely mortified.

“Just what is going on?” you ask, now starting to realize that someone was just that stupid.

The room starts to feel more depressing with each passing moment. Not even the burnt marshmallow jelly bean you just put into your mouth can alleviate the dread you are feeling.

“No reply from John's Grandfather.” Houki tells everyone, only adding more dread.

“Do you think we should tell the teachers?” Sakuya asks, worry also in her voice.

“But wouldn't they just go to the US government?” Yuzu counters, completely unsure what to do next.

You can feel the dread weigh down on you before the silence is broken by the door slamming open. Laura enters the room carrying a stuffed manilla folder.

“Laura this is no good. John's father seems to know where he is but his mother had no idea.” Charlotte explains to Laura.

Wait, wait, wait. Calm down Rin, how did John's father know where he is but not his mother? This is confusing and going around in circles. Someone knows and they aren't telling. We need to be reasonable about this. How can you get off the island without a boat or taking the train? We are getting ahead of ourselves

Maybe John really is in trouble and he needs your help. Sure he can be pain when he teases you and the others. It just makes you feel hot and just makes you want to punch him. But there are times when he helps you out and can be a really good friend. And as a good friend, you should help him.

Laura takes the folder and lays it out onto the desk. Everyone walks over to see a meticulously maintained and collated series of papers.

“First are the low threat groups. The typical Middle Eastern terrorists groups. They have no resources or ability to kidnap John.” Laura begins to explain.

Laura pushes that aside and moves onto the next series of reports.

“These are the middle level threat groups. These are typical government backed organizations or state entities that have the possibility of kidnapping John. I do not think this group would be responsible for such an attack.” Laura continues to explain.

“Because no one is that stupid.” you chime in.

“It would be the same as a declaration of war.” Charlotte adds.

“Then what about those that are able to?” Houki asks with a concerned but serious tone.

“The final group is the high threat group.” Laura answers. “Before there was only two groups here. Ruined Country Weaving Industry- Phantom Task and the US Government. But now, Diamond Dogs have been added to this list.” Laura finishes her explanation.

“Why would the American Government kidnap John?” Cecilia asks, a cross of annoyance and frustration in her voice.

“Because, they might have taken him away from me.” Laura answers with a bit of embarrassment.

“I've never heard of this Phantom Task before. Are they really a threat?” you ask, skeptical of Laura.

“Yes. They were the ones terrorists that attacked John's previous school.” Laura answers.

Well, you didn't see that coming. Sure John might have mentioned that a couple of times. Fighting off terrorists because of some insane VIRTUOUS MISSION. But to be that high of a threat still, just what are they?

“It was unnecessary.” Laura answers flatly.

You sigh at that answer. Even you were informed of any potential enemies that might do anything. There weren't many since you were part of the PLAAF, but you were still informed. Just what is going on here? Is this an external or internal struggle going on?

“Did you get any more information about the Diamond Dogs? If they are responsible, I do not want to do business with them any more.” Cecilia asks, only frustration in her voice.

Before Cecilia was able to grab it, you swipe the Diamond Dogs Report. With it now in your hands, you begin to read it. Only for there to be a problem.

“Why is it in German?” you ask, very much annoyed.

“Why wouldn't it be? This is a German Military report.” Laura answers with a annoyed tone.

You ignore her and begin to look through it. Cecilia looks over your shoulder while you flip through the pages. Yup, all in German. There are some as up to yesterday charts about the organization. You aren't able to make heads or tails of it until you get to the equipment section. Several black and white photos of equipment and vehicles used by Diamond Dogs. The primary transport is a modified C-130. You stare at it intently, the equipment on the nose reminds you of something but you don't quite remember.

“Rin, you are too slow. Hurry up and finish reading it.” Cecilia demands, her voice still colored with frustration.

You ignore her and stare at the image until you finally remember.

“That's it!” you interject louder than you thought.

“Did you figure something out?” Houki asks.

“Tell us.” Cecilia commands with the same tone.

“Did you find something?” Laura asks after she turns to you.

“I want to know too.” Yuzu adds.

“Me too” Sakuya also adds, interested.

Everyone stares at you intently, waiting for your answer. This only causes your face to feel warmer than normal, annoying you to no end.

“It's the nose on the C-130, it's been modified for surface to air recovery. That is how he was kidnapped.” you explain.

“Just what is this surface to air recovery system?” Houki asks, her tone completely serious.

“Basically, you attach a balloon to the person to have the C-130 catch it and pull him up into the cargo bay. My friend's cousin in the PLA Special Operation Forces told her that they have been testing it recently due to someone using it all the time. I think they were figuring out how to stop it.” you explain as you think back to what she said to you.

After your explanation, Laura quickly grabs the report out of you hands and quickly scan it.

“It does say that a Skyhook system is installed.” Laura tells everyone as she finishes reading it. “That would explain why the Diamond Dogs' C-130 lost altitude as it passed Academy Island.” Laura states, thinking out loud.

“But wouldn't that require someone to attach the balloon first?” Houki asks.

“Yeah.” you answer, unable to think how they attached the balloon.

“I'll call Grandfather again. He should know something.” Charlotte tells everyone as she takes her phone out.

You aren't sure what to do now. There is a strong likely hood that Diamond Dogs were the ones that kidnapped John. But not all the pieces are there. You still haven't looked over John's room completely or the other reports. You need to search for more evidence first before you act.

Your instincts are telling you that you are missing something here. Something in this room may be the final piece to the puzzle. Letting the others look at Laura's reports, you instead looking through John's desk again. Nothing here that you haven't already found. This time you feel under the drawers for anything attached. Nothing.

“Looking again?” Honne asks you.

“Yeah, there is something we are missing here.” you answer with a nod.

With that, Honne joins you in the search. Rummaging through the nightstand more thoroughly now does bring up something new.

“What is John doing with this? I didn't take him the type to use woman's body lotion.” you say as you take the body lotion out of the drawers

“AHHHH!” Cecilia yells out as she leaps for the lotion bottle in your hands.

You elude Cecilia grasp and begin to interrogate her, “What's wrong Cecilia? Forget this on purpose?”

“Not on purpose. I just forgot it was brought here by Chelsea.” Cecilia answers exasperated.

“So you have an excuse to come to John's room whenever?” you continue to interrogate, enjoying this more than you should.

“John is my knight. I don't need an excuse.” Cecilia answers, now flustered more than anything else.

“Oh? Maybe you left it here so you can get him to give you a full body massage? I've heard that a lot of girls want John to massage them.” you ask, now smirking at Cecilia's actions.

“Too bad. I've already booked him for the rest of his life.” Cecilia replies as she reaches for you.

But unfortunately for you, Cecilia's foot steps on the hem of nightgown and causes her to go flying towards you. Without any room to maneuver, Cecilia crashes into you sending you straight into the closet.

“You klutz.” you tell Cecilia, rubbing your lower back.

“It's your fault.” Cecilia replies angrily while she looks up from your lap.

You sigh and you put your hands down. This is all crazy. John being kidnapped and everyone is acting crazy. No, you are acting just as crazy as they are.

“NOOOOOOOOO! I'm not crazy as you all are.” you yell to yourself, trying convince yourself.

It's John's fault. It's his fault why everything is going crazy. Even when he is gone, everything goes crazy. You feel your face get hot as your eyes tear up, why did you just get pulled into this. Angrily, you slam your fist down in his closet. You end up hitting one of his bags. You look at it angrily until you realize what is on it. You quickly get up with the bag and throw it onto his bed.

“No answer again.” Charlotte reports before she puts away her phone.

“Rin, I do not think it is appropriate to go through John's things.” Cecilia chides you while holding onto that lotion bottle.

Ignoring her, you open up the bag. Inside you find various tools and military gear. As you begin to lay out individual items, everyone gathers around you.

“Oh, those are the flashlights from last time.” Sakuya points out.

“And this is that Night vision monoscope he was wearing when he fought the storm ghost.” you comment as you take the monoscope out of its case.

“Is that the Diamond Dogs' logo?” Houki now points out.

“It is.” Laura answers. “I think I am starting to understand what is going on.” Laura adds, now thinking over something.

“And this is.” you say taking out a box before you see what it is. “EW EW EW. Just what is he doing with this.” you say, disgusted as you throw the box at the far side of the bed.

“Far too small.” Cecilia comments as her face blushes a bright red.

“Yes, a couple sizes too small.” Charlotte adds, her face also a bright red.

“Why did John keep it? Condoms are unnecessary since we are married.” Laura tells everyone with a matter of fact tone.

“That's it!” you say out loud, proud of your deductive reasoning. “He was attacked by an amphibious team.” you explain.

“So that is how they attached the balloon to him.” Houki adds, now seeing your train of thought.

“That's right. And the low flying C-130 was the one to get him out.” you say proudly.

“And this is where I come in.” Cecilia states with conviction.

“What do you mean?” Charlotte asks.

“I can have Chelsea set up a meeting on Diamond Dogs' base as a way to make sure that everything is going as planned for summer.” Cecilia begins to explain.

“And once on base, we attack and rescue John.” Laura interrupts, in a low, fierce tone.

Now this is a plan. You just have to figure out the exact plan. It seems like Yuzu, Sakuya, and Honne are the cover team. Cecilia and Houki are the infiltration planning team. Leaving the boring stuff to Cecilia and Houki, you decide to go for what you do best. Attack. You join Charlotte and Laura to plan for the attack.

“Do we know anything about this Mother Base?” Charlotte asks.

Laura flips a couple of pages through her report before she says, “It use to be an Ocean Thermal Energy Conversion research platform before it was bought by Militaires Sans Frontier. It was then convert to their use. After an attack by another PMC, it was repaired by the re-branded Diamond Dogs.”

“Hmm, so it would have a similar layout to an oil platform.” you muse.

“Potentially.” Laura comments. “First take a look at this.” Laura tells you as she puts down a large image of Mother Base.

You thought it was just an oil rig or two but this is insane. Instead they have more than a dozen platforms arranged in a hexagonal pattern. You think there are even several factories dotting the huge complex. Even a large airstrip long enough for strategic airlift aircraft.

“So that is how they use the C-130.” you comment.

“And here is the Command Center.” Laura points out, “Here are the barracks and supply areas.”

“And these must be the hangars.” Charlotte points out, several large and boxy shaped buildings on the platforms.

“So, how many personnel would we face?” you ask, wanting all the details.

“We are looking at around 300 personnel total. Not all would be soldiers so that does make things easier.” Laura reports.

“Then John would either be in the brig or the Command Center.” Charlotte says thinking out loud.

“Why the Command Center? That is not what you would do normally.” you ask.

“Well, John's Grandfather is definitely involved with Diamond Dogs. John might be treated better than a normal prisoner.” Charlotte explains.

“That poses a problem then. The brig and Command Center are on opposite sides of Mother Base.” Laura points out.

“Since they know John's Grandfather, why don't we just ask them to hand John over. I'm sure they will be reasonable.” Charlotte replies.

“Or we can ignore them and use our IS to attack and rescue John. We can use our superiority to go in fast to prevent anything that can harm him.” Laura counters.

“So either strike hard and fast or be reasonable. Not sure how this works while we are bound by the Alaska treaty and they aren't.” you state the obvious.

Laura and Charlotte begin to frown as they think over how to solve this problem. You glance over at the infiltration team to see what they are up to. Cecilia is talking to someone named Chelsea while Houki listens and occasionally adds some details. Before Cecilia ends the call.

“We have our way in.” Cecilia states proudly.

“You aren't thinking of just flying in and demanding an inspection?” you ask, no way they would allow that.

“Exactly that.” Cecilia replies smugly, “Chelsea is already on her way here with my private jet.”

Is everyone that is involved with John that crazy? There is no way anyone would normally allow that. Any sort of functioning Military Intelligence organization wouldn't allow any sort of inspection while related persons visit. In the back of your mind, you really hope that everyone else is crazy and not you.

“We then stop off in the Caribbean before we finally arrive at their airstrip.” Houki adds.

“How about you three? What have you come up with?” Cecilia asks.

“That's right, his first punishment. I know of several that I want John to do.” Cecilia muses while her face slightly blushes.

“Ceci-chan is thinking something lewd.” Honne notes while smiling.

“I am not.” Cecilia responds with a flustered voice.

Cecilia really is thinking of something lewd. Sometimes you think that is all she thinks about with John.

“Yes, we will all have to punish John in a appropriate manner.” Houki states calmly while her eyes show a fire burning in them.

“Something that will make sure that this never happens again.” Charlotte replies with a very unnerving smile.
