Your shoulders ache after an hour of hauling furniture around the small college dorm, as you and Angie volunteered to help hide the evidence of Abby's apparent murder of her room mate.

Everyone tries their best to avoid mentioning that the three of you are now guilty of covering up a murder, as you stare down at the last bloodstain remaining, a huge, caked in mess underneath the room mates bed, mixed with small, grey chunks of rotted out brain.

"How the hell are we supposed to deal with that?" Abby asks, looking everywhere around the stain, without actually looking at it, weak grimace on her face.

>Cut the carpet out, cover it with the bed again
>Use the stain remover, leave the chunks for the ants to eat

Use the stain remover(possibly bleach, or drain uncloger), leave it there for a while then cower it up with a bed. Wash the chunks down the toilet.

You grab a boxcutter knife, ignoring the queasy looks of the other two, you set about the grim task of cutting the square of carpet out, about the size of your torso, but the carpet is cheap and paper thin, so it comes away easily, the ripping sounds covered by the incessant bass thump of some dorm rat playing their music too loud.

The stain has somewhat leaked through, leaving a dark patch on the concrete underneath.

"You too do your best to get rid of that stain, then cover it up again." You tell the others as you roll it up and tuck it under your arm, ignoring the foul smell, both of them relaxing now that the more obvious sight of the crime is hidden.

"Hold on..." Angie points out, as Abby starts scrubbing away. "Why don't I just torch it?"

"Please don't start any fires inside." Abby pleads. "They just installed new anti smoking alarms, super sensitive, and Jodie always tried to blame her smoking on me, so the RA is already pissed at me. This'd just...." She trails off.

You put it down by the door, "We'll drive somewhere safe before we burn it, not here." You tell her, before rolling up your sleeves and hauling the bed back in place as Abby finishes her scrubbing, covering the hole in the carpet with a bunch of loose papers.

"Right." The college mutters to herself, spinning her keys in hand, "Right right right." She takes a deep breath and heads out the door, as you grab the carpet up. She looks both ways, before waving you out after her. "Hurry!"

You make it two floors down, before a door to your right whips open, a guy with eyes veined and red barrelling out of his dorm, laughing to someone inside.

He's heading right for you, stumbling over himself, "Hey Cory, 's an Amazon he giggles, as he crashes into your arm, holding the rug, "What you got here my queen?" He manages between snickers, adopting a phony english accent, "Perchance might I see it?"

He tugs at the rug harder than you expected, just as you were about to shove him off. He goes flying Abby groaning with worry, as you try to pin the carpet to your side, the stoner hanging on to the other end.

You yank it out of his grip as he slams back into the wall. "Don't. Touch me." You tell him quietly.

He gets up, still giggling to himself, before Abby steps in front of you. "Trevor, I wouldn't if I were you. She's... uh, she's a savage warrior queen, who likes castrating her enemies."

That shuts him up quick. Hands clamped over his junk, Trevor scurries back into his dorm room, you can hear at least three locks being turned, and panicked breathing inside. "Not my dick man, not my dick!"

Abby glances at you, shrugging. "Sorry. You know how college guys are."

You really don't.

You make it the rest of the way to Abby's car unassaulted, as she drives you to an abandoned lot of Angies suggestion. You bury the carpet under a pile of broken bricks and dirt, before Angie torches it quickly, Abby peeling off down the street, her car's engine coughing and backfiring every so often.

"Well..... thanks for the help with.... that stuff." Abby says, gulping slowly, "But now what the hell are we gonna do? Track down every guy on campus and ask if they were at that party?"

Angie leans forward from the back seat. "Well.... you said he was blonde haired and blue eyed. Right?" She scratches her nose as she thinks, "Once you said that, Rai went all quiet for a bit. D'you think he knows anything about it?"

He had made a specific point to ask details about this stranger, "It's possible." You agree.

Angie pats the back of both the chairs, "Look, I'm near a place where some of my.... street buddies gather, you wanna drop me off with them, I'll ask around for the guy, you can go check on Rai."

"And /I/ can go back to the dorm and figure out how FUCKED I am at school after being mind control." Abby cuts in, massaging her temples, "God, I must be failing everything."

"Sounds like a plan." Angie directs Abby down a few sidestreets, parking near a highway overpass, under which you can see several small campfires.

"Cool. I'll see what I can find out." Angie shoves her door open and jumps out, adjusting her clothes slightly as she stands, rumpling them up.

"Just be careful, alright?" You tell her out the window. "These questions you're asking, just.... try not to be suspicious about them, okay?"

Angie waves you off, "Ahhh, you worry too much." She holds her arms out wide, gesturing under the bridge. "I lived out here for a year. This I can handle. Peace out."

Abby, looking around nervously, locks all the doors, before driving off, "I don't like this neighbourhood." She mumbles to herself, as she pulls up at a red light, glancing around at the pedestrians, "My dad always said to not come here after dark."

You clap her on the arm, "Look, relax. We have stands, we can handle any stupid carjackers before they even touch the car."

She gulps loudly, as you direct her into the Neo territory, pulling up across the street from Rai's house. "Okay.... seeya. Please don't get stabbed?" She tentatively asks, before quickly flooring it away.

You quickly make your way up to Rai's door, knocking.

The peephole in the door opens, along with the twitching of a few curtains. Through the door, you hear someone yell "Giganta amarilla esta aqui!"

"Amarilla?" You mutter to yourself, as you wait for the door to open.

A minute later, Sofia answers the door, all smiles, "Xioxio. Hey girl, good to see you! What's good?"

"Uhh, is Rai around?" You ask, "I wanted to ask him something."

She leans against the doorframe, smirking, "Little enano just ran down to the corner store. Wanted to buy some gum or something." She steps out of the door, gesturing for you to enter. "You wanna come in?" She asks.

"Uh. Sure, thanks." Once more, you follow her through the house, past the hordes of squealing Latin kids, mostly being looked after by slightly older Latin kids, arguing, playing, fighting. "How many families live here?" You ask.

She glances over her shoulder, "Huh? Oh, all the kids, yeah. Well... it's kinda hard to tell at this point." She leads you into the relative quiet of the kitchen, wiping mayonnaise off a seat, before offering it to you. We're more like a ghetto orphanage than a family."

"How do you mean?"

Sofia shrugs, "Well, my brother and I got into the country about ten years ago with my parents, but we were all dirt poor. It only got worse once my parents died. I was seventeen and had to look after a thirteen year old." She shakes her head, "I did a lotta work that I ain't proud of. Dad would probably be pissed if he knew that I was shaking my ass for singles, but I kept Tony fed."

"That's.... ouch. Sorry." You tell her.

She shakes it off, "It's fine. Things got better once Rai and his mother moved in with us. They actually had money." She places a chipped coffee mug down for you, "For some reason Rai's grandma had a load of gold left to her, by whoever Rai's mom's father was." She stirs some sugar in, savouring the smell of her roast. "Then, when Rai's mom passed away, that left all that gold for Rai to use."

She gestures around, "So he says to me and Tony, 'let's buy as big a place as we can, and bring in kids off the street with no parents'. So...we did. But we let in more than just kids.... single moms and dads, homeless... just about anyone we can trust, that won't rat us out to the cops or the Neos."

"Wow..." You mutter under your breath,

"Any idea where all that gold came from?" You ask.

She shrugs, drinking her coffee, "At a guess? With Rai's eyes and his mom being born in the forties, probably some old nazi gold. Hell, his surname is Stroheim after all." She glances around the place, "But, the way I see it, there's no harm in using blood money, if you're using to actually help people. That and I always thought it was funny to use Nazi gold to help Latinos."

You can see the humour in that, it a twisted kind of way. "Besides, it's better than having them on the streets, joining a gang, like those Hermanos Segador." She sighs, "When it's not the Neos threatening to burn the house down, it's the Hermanos trying to snatch kids up. Or both groups are having a shootout in the streets."

"The Hermanos?" You ask, "I pissed those guys off recently too." You reflect back to the day Rai had stabbed you, "I was just minding my own business, walking down the sidewalk, and some asshole thinks he can tell me to get out of his way. I didn't and he wouldn't budge, kept threatening me."

"Hmmm. What'd you do?" Sofia asks, a small smile curling across her face.

"Broke his damn nose, of course." You tell her, shrugging.

She bursts out laughing at that, nearly snorting coffee up her nose, "Damn Xioxio, you a crazy Asian bitch, you know that? Just wish more people were that willing to stick up to them round here."

Your about to respond when you hear a door slam and running footsteps.

Moments later, Rai skids into the kitchen, out of breath. "Whatever... she's been saying about me..... is a lie." He insists, pointing at his cousin.

Sofia just smirks at him, "Yeah, you're right, Rai isn't actually a hero, he isn't responsible for saving kids lives. He is juuuuuust some shrimply little loser and that's it. Never saved anyone, that's for sure"

Rai just glares at her, grabbing your hand, and trying to tug you into another room, failing to even budge your chair, causing Sofia to suppress a laugh into her coffee again.

You stand and follow the boy into another room. "Whatever she was actually saying is a god damned lie, she loves to make up stories about me and none of them are true!" He insists

"Rai. Calm down." You tell him.

"What do you know about Abby's mystery man then? You went all quiet last night, after you heard about his dyed eyebrows."

Rai shifts uncomfortably, shuffling his feet. "I... I think I knew who she was talking about, but I'm not sure it's him."

You lean against a half torn open armchair, "Who then?"

Rai gulps, "Well... I think it might have been the son of the chief Neo around these parts, goes by the name of Heinrich Addams. Him and his son both have these really big eyebrows, like the kind Abby said, and they bleach their hair blonde."

"Is that the only link you have?" You ask.

Rai shakes his head, "No, his dad's cronies, they were all talking about how his son was bragging about getting into SCU, gonna teach 'dem libral college kids bout the real masta race' ." He slips into a thick Texan accent for a moment, "So I thought it was him, sooooo.... I was just out, scoping out their house."

You feel a 'but' coming, waiting patiently.

"But, they saw me, I was hiding in a street across the road, but they threw rocks at me, let their dogs at the base of the tree." He gulps, "I had to use 『Semisonic』 to spit twigs at them, to scare them off."

"Well, were you followed." He shakes his head, "Well, good. Did you find anything out?"

He produces a letter, "I stole this from their mail. A letter saying that Heinrich's son, Saule, is flunking out of college."

You take the letter, holding it up to the light without opening it. Definitely a report card, with rows of F's down it.

"So what do you think?" Rai asks, smiling hopefully. "I did good, huh?"

Seconding. Also, "And you saving people with nazi gold is a lie, huh?"

You nod, "Good job Rai. I think we've found our man." You stand upright, off the chair, "Just, next time, before you try something like this, let me or Angie know. You could get hurt, or worse, you could get caught by those psychos."

You shiver, remembering a few gruesome news stories, non whites corpses found mutilated, but unable to be connected to any perpetrators in any way that could hold up in court.

Rai nods, twisting his lips, "I was just trying to take initiative is all." He mutters.

"For now, we should regroup, let the others know what we've found out." You tell him. "Angie should meet me back at my house, and we can message Abby once she sorts her life out."

Rai nods, telling Sofia that he's heading out again. Curious, she asks him for a stick of gum, which he covers his ass by saying he already ate the whole pack. His cousins eyes bore a hole in the back of both your necks as you retreat out the front door.

You keep your heads down on the way out of the gangs territory, hurrying the rest of the way to your house. Thankfully, Mom still hasn't returned from her bed and breakfast trip with Ed yet, so that leaves the house empty.

Angie is waiting on the porch, jumping up when she sees you, her excitement cooling slightly when she sees Rai behind you.

"Hey guys, I think I know who's behind all of this." She declares pridefully, "Streets got our back."

You let everyone in, "Well, Rai's got some leads too, what did you find?"

Angie nods excitedly, pulling her beanie off and emptying its apparent content on the table. First thing she does is pick up a photograph, "This guy here. Raul Estavez." She slaps the photo down, a light skinned Latin man, with bleached blonde hair and eyebrows, "He goes to SCU parties all the time, is a known prick, has a thing for pretentious white girls and his brother is a higher up in the Hermanos Segador." She slaps it, "That's our guy."

Rai nudges you, curious.

You look between the two of them, thinking

So we have two guys that could fit the bill. The only logical thing is to look into both of them. Hell, maybe they're -both- involved.
>>
>>39873145
Go ask Abby witch one is it?
Possibly try to get picture of the other guy too, for comparison. Check facebook or something for pics.

Also lets try not to piss off local gangs for nothing.
>>
>>39873145
>"Hunh. This is just like those games where you're faced with a decision and both sides are made to look like the fit the bill exactly. Rai found that the neo's son is a near guarantee for the guy as well."
>"Maybe they're somehow both the same person? Mindcontol, memory loss... It wouldn't be unthinkable that someone's manipulating both the gangs."
>>
>>39873240
It's a possibility that the guy who put mind control bug on her was mind controlled himself.

Would make sense to make minions do the risky stuff.
>>
>>39873229
We already piss them off because they're racists and we're not white. Fuck them.

Abby probably won't remember, she had her memory mostly fucked from being mind controlled. Besides, memory is a fickle thing.
>>
>>39873299
She said that she saw the guy, and it does not hurt to ask.

Kidnapping/attacking gang members without being sure about whatever we are doing will probably end badly.
>>
>>39873340
remember that time we beat up a bunch of neo nazis with our stand just to get thrown in jail for a few hours?
>>
>>39873340
We're not going in guns blazing to kidnap them, yet. We need to investigate more anyhow to make sure we don't make the wrong choice.

Maybe neither of them are involved, and it's actually someone from a local charity trying to be inconspicuous.
>>
>>39873293
I just realized the significance of the neo failing: What if he was mindcontrolled and missed his classes like Abby? I doubt he's really that dumb, all things considered.
>>
You rest your head on one hand, thinking. "Hrmmm. Rai's found someone else, the son of the Neo's head, who fits the bill just as well... Honestly it could be either of them. Or neither, but they both warrant a looking at." You slap down the college letter, next to the photo, as Angie stores the rest of her crap back into her beanie.

"Wait, why don't we just call up Abby and ask her?" Angie asks, "At least with my photo, we can rule him out."

You shrug,"We can try, but who knows how long until she's got everything in her life back in order, or if she can even remember anything about their face. She was drunk as hell, and she said it was dark."

Rai glances out the window, "Well... the suns setting already. We should at least make a decision who we should check out first. I don't want to be walking around after dark. I... think we should check out Addams."

Angie shrugs, "I vote Estavez. Shockingly, Xiao, which way you voting?"

You look between the picture and the letter, lost in thought...

>"Let's start with Addams. Beating up neos never gets old."
>>
>>39873561

We should start by taking a picture of Addams, for comparison material. If we can, voice recordings. It's possible the visual might jumpstart recognition, but in these situations they'll be more likely to recognize the voice instead. One's from a redneck crowd, the other's from a latino group, the accents should give it away immediately.
>>
>>39873561
Addams is all of a sudden failing school. I think he might have gotten Abby'd. Check Estevez first we have a photo. If Addams is our guy he's likely not going to be useful. Plus they're on alert, I'd rather not go poking a supernatural hornets nest.
>>
>>39873561
>Addams because of the failing grade, he seems more likely. Get pic, and check neck, if possible.
>>
"I think the Neo, Addams. His grades have been tanking recently if this report card is anything to go by. He might have been brainwashed like Abby was.... And even if he wasn't I never get tired of beating up Nazis."

You and Rai both share a laugh over that, Angie just shrugs and tucks the picture back up into her beanie for now.

You crack your knuckles and lean back, "Alright, first thing tomorrow morning, we'll meet you at your place Rai. Sound good?"

The boy nods, "Yeah, but maybe not first thing. The assholes who 'guard' the front of Addams' house tend to go out and get drunk around noon, maybe leaving one or two guys. That'd be our best bet."

"Sounds like a plan." You show him out the door, and he takes off at a run, trying to beat the sunset on his way home.

Angie, for her part, just relaxes under the air conditioner, tossing her beanie and jacket on the table. "God, Summer is the worst!" She complains, "You should have felt it under that bridge, with all the fires going, cooking shit up, it felt like Hell." She fans herself with her hands, "I'm gonna take a shower real quick, before I start on dinner." She stomps upstairss before you can respond.

You stand right under the conditioner vents for a few moments, cooling off. Stupid Texas heat.

With a quick glance upstairs, you hear the shower start hissing to life, taking that as your cue to snoop over to the coffee table where Angie dropped her beanie.

You grab it up and duck your hand in, surprised at how much crap is rustling around inside of it. You pull your hand out, two photos in hand, a key, a pack of gum, some tissues, a small switchblade and a silver necklace with a red gem in it.

"She can't have had this long, or she would have used it on me." You muse to yourself, setting the weapon down. "How was she even keeping all this crap in there?"

The photos, still in perfect condition, you lay out, one of Estevez, the other of Angie, at a guess, more than ten years ago, with two very Italian looking middle aged people, who she stands between, literally beaming at the camera. Her very blonde mother is wearing the same bejewelled necklace that you just dug out of her beanie. And next to her father, is.... Crakehall. He looks surprisingly young, and is jokingly giving his brother a headlock. He's always looked old since you'd met him.

You lift the jewelery up to inspect it, nothing too special about it, not that you've ever been one for jewelery, mom never liked the stuff either. Just a oval shaped ruby on plain silver.

"Wonder why she doesn't wear it?" You ask yourself, before you hear the squeak of the water turning off. You quickly stow it all away, placing it back where you found it.

Angie comes back down, once again wearing some of your clothes from when you were younger, that you never got around to throwing away. "Just washing my clothes for now." She informs you, "You really miss detergent when you live in a sewer pipe. I'll get started on dinner."

Sighing in annoyance, you flick it over to watch some gardening shows, as Angie hands you a bowl of spaghetti. "Mmmf. S'really good." You compliment her around a mouthful.

Angie just shrugs and takes the compliment, "Thanks. I'm just glad to be eating real food again. Stuff that comes out of a tin always tastes like crap, and some of the stuff I've had to catch on the street to avoid starving....." She shivers, "Let's just say rat doesn't make for a very good flambe." She kicks her feet up on the coffee table and relaxes back, "I could really get used to staying here."

You kick your feet up on the table, "It's nice having someone who can cook around the house for once. Sick of eating stir fry every night..... We will have to sort out a proper bed for you once mom gets back though."

Angie just shrugs. "You've only got two bedrooms, if you want me off the couch so bed, only other place I can go is the tub."

"You're fine with staying on the couch?" You ask.

"Xiao, the couch is heaven to someone who spent the better part of last winter huddling in the doorway of a bakery to sleep, because they leave the ovens on warm overnight." She pats the couch underneath the two of you, "This is like sleeping on a cloud AND comes with blankets."

You drop it for now, "Well, if you're fine with it...."

"Better than fine, hell I'd sleep on the floor in here, at least you guys have a rug." Angie insists, "It's literally fine."

You just take her plate and start cleaning the dishes, as Angie sprawls out on the couch. "Night Xiao!" She calls, tugging her jacket back on.

You hesitate at the bottom of the stairs.

You pause, before wandering back to the couch, "What's the deal with your parents anyways?" You ask, "You've only ever talked about your uncle..."

Angie slowly opens one eye, looking up at you as she lays back, "Well for starters they're dead."

You wince, "Sorry."

She shrugs, "Eh. It's been a couple of years now. I can talk about it. Used to live up in New York, til I was about thirteen. Dad worked at some company, researching classified stuff he'd never tell us about. Occasionally he'd give me needles.... never found out what that was about. Then one day, him and mom go to a company picnic, I didn't want to go, because I was being a shitty teenager. They both died in a car accident on the way back." She shrugs, "So I get shipped off to Texas to live with uncle Rodney." Crakehall. "But fuck that guy, so I ran away."

"So, wait, if Crakehalls your dad's brother... why'd you say your names Crenshaw?" You ask.

She shrugs, "Dad had it changed for his work decades ago, said it made his family safer."

"Well. That sucks Angie." Is all you can offer.

She nods along, "It ain't great." She closes her eye again, slowly. "Night Xiao."

"Night." You grunt, heading upstairs.

You fall asleep quickly, using your stand to pull the blinds down in your room, plucking a single string of your dust gathering violin absently.

You're woken in the morning by someone shaking you by the shoulder. You blink awake, having rolled onto your stomach in the night. "Wha?"

"Breakfast." Angie says simply, placing a bowl of oats by your pillow, "In bed no less. Thought I'd wake you, since it's nearly noon."

You feel her sit by your feet as you blink yourself awake, Angie using 『Girl In the Fire 』 to open the blinds again. "Sick tattoo you have there by the way." She adds, "I always wanted to get one too.

"Tattoo?" you ask. Since when do you have a tattoo?

"Uh, yeah? On the back of your neck?" She prods just below the collar of the back of your shirt. "You got a little purple-y star."

You feel around where she poked, "I never had a tattoo in my life." You tell her, shrugging. "Must be a birthmark I never noticed."

She just shrugs, looking around, taking your violin down and plucking the strings absently, as you devour your breakfast. "Ha, imagine if you had a mandolin. Then you could be the Mandarin Mandolinner." She plucks a string, suppressing a few giggles, but you leave that disgusting pun hang in the air.

"Well.... Rai's probably waiting." Angie sighs, putting the violin back in it's place as you finish up. "Still think Estevez is more suspect personally, but whatever, lets go beat up some dumb Nazis."

Mind bug that was on neck. Our neck has weird stuff on it. Coincidence? I think not.

>am I the only one who is scared of mind control
...Yes. Do you not JoJo? The mind control is either on your forehead or directly into the brain.

The Star is that we're a JoJo for real. We have the blood of the Joestar family within us.

Yes, in JoJo you don't bother preventing mindcontrol bugs. They just happen because plot and there's nothing you can do about it. However, it's very unlikely they'll even try anything, it tends to just be the MC rescuing a controlled person who then joins the team.

"I think we should stick to Addams for now." You tell her, "Estevez can wait, for now."

She sighs, shaking her head, as she does her hair up into a ponytail. "Whatever, if we're going Nazi beating, then are we calling Abby up?"

"We should probably give at least one more day." You figure, "At least get a picture of this Addams kid before we go to her."

The walk to Rai's house is quicker this time of day, you put your hood up, and there's less Neos roving the streets that you have to avoid fights with.

Rai is waiting by his mailbox, "You guys ready?" He asks.

The both of you nod, and he leads the way through the streets, stopping to avoid the occasional pack of Neo's, but with your face and hair hidden by your hood, and Angie's blonde hair and blue eyes, you don't draw too much attention, until Rai points out a house across the street. A suburban house, two stories, white picket fence. Not exactly what you were expecting for the head of a Neo Nazi gang.

"That one." He says. "Addam's place." He points to two huge bald men on the driveway, blocking the open entrance to the garage, drinking beer and playing cards. "And there's the guards."

Angie looks over, 『Girl In the Fire 』 appearing behind her. "Well, what's the plan?"

I make a tree for us to hope the fence and sneak in. Then we find him. Rather not deal with all the guards. If we're unlucky they all have stands.

This. Make a tree bridge over the fence.
>>
>>39877007
First order of business when entering any form of enemy territory: gather intelligence. Scope the place out, find various points of entry, see if we can spot anyone inside.
>>
You point to a tree in the front yard of the house next door. "I'll use that to let us hop the fence." You tell the others, before hurrying across the street, dropping low, head below the fence, until you pass the walls of the garage.

Summoning 『Kiss From a Rose』 you feel the familiar electric tingle in your arms, as your stand channels the light of the shining sun, spiralling a branch down to act as a rampway to climb up, while also extending a limb over the fence, into the Addam's backyard.

You carefully clamber up, peering in, but the house blocks the majority of your view of the back yard.

>>
You lead Rai forward. "You go first. You can snipe anyone who sees you, and you're the lightest."

He nods, and you heft him up to the branch above, clambering up to the extended branch and walking across. He pauses, at the furthest end of the branch, swaying, and desperately windmilling his arms to keep his balance, but manages to support himself against the Addam's wall, before quietly leaping down.

A few seconds later, you barely hear a hiss of "All clear." You boost Angie up, figuring it makes sense to let the lighter person across first.

She makes it easily, walking like a gymnast along the branch, with easy balance, lightly leaping off to the ground below, before you follow them, less graceful, but you use your stand to keep you on balance when you start to sway.

You leap down into the backyard behind them, finding Rai fiddling with the lock of the back door.

"Guys, really?" You ask, sending 『Kiss From a Rose』 through and flicking the latch open from the inside.

Your accomplices both exchange a mollified look, embaressed at not having come up with that, before you lead them inside, you can hear very faint music, coming from below, the basement most likely, and what sounds like videogames being played somewhere upstairs.

You put a finger to your lips and point the others into various rooms. You pick one at random, finding yourself in a home office or study of sorts, a half finished painting standing on an easel by the closed window, while a desk sits on the far side of the room, empty and facing the door, the walls lined with bookshelves.

You sneak around the desk and start rummaging through the drawers, nothing jumps out at you, tax forms, school fees. Aha! A letter from SCU, already opened. You pick it up and scan through it.

"Dear Mr & Mrs Addams, we would like to thank you for your patronage of the Chevitz Library construction, we look forward to dealing with you again. Signed Dean Arnold Fornisaud." You toss the letter down, bastards paying his kid's way through school and he's still failing.

You toss the letter down, glancing around the room momentarily, the painting of a beautiful blonde woman, standing by a lighthouse at sunset, with-shockingly- bright blue eyes. The word 'Beauty' is scrawled in a soft red in the top corner.

You start to head upstairs, silently letting the others know, as you creep up them. You walk along the landing, the door in your left has the noise of videogames, explosions, dramatic music, snarly military generals.

The one on your right and straight ahead are dead silent.

Above you see a hatch in the roof, most likely a ladder heading up into the attic.

You should go....

You decide to take the door on your right, shutting it behind you in case the person in the other room looks outside. You enter into a dark, rot smelling room. Empty soda cans and old bowls of cereal litter just about every surface, and dirty clothes are strewn all over the floor.

If your room looked like this, mom might try to stab you.

You peer through some of the effects, on the desk, a notebook catching your eye. You pick it up, flipping to the front page. "Property of Saule Addams." Got you.

You quickly start rooting around in drawers, feeling for false bottoms and tossing clothes about looking for clues.

You find a picture of what you're guessing is this whole family, two parents, the father fat and hair bleached, two sons in their late teens and a little girl. "Well, there's our picture." You tell yourself. "Abby should see that later."

You keep rummaging through the drawers, seeing if you can find anything like that knife laying around.

Then you hear it, the door knob rattles quietly, you leap across the bed, hiding in the wardrobe, just as the door opens.

"-ah Raul, I'll be down in a minute. Yeah, I know man, just give me some time, alright? Hmm? yeah man. Hey, we should hit up the college tonight, I'm sick of being off campus. We crack a few beers, meet a few more girls.... show em a good time, yeah?" You can hear him moving about, peering through a crack in the wardrobe door.

You hear him cluck his tongue in annoyance, "Urgh, shirt's on the other side of the room... No, you're lazy! Fuck you Raul..... Hang on."

Your eye widens in surprise, as a snow white humanoid, with jet black hair materialises in your vision, picking up a shirt, arms lined in powdered blue veins, handing it to the boy you can't see. "Thanks 『 Mindfields 』 .
