You are Siegfried Schmidt, a former guard from the city of Morsland. Due to various circumstances, you have become the new wielder of Galadriel, a holy sword which houses a powerful six-winged angel of the same name. Now you have come to the White Watchtower, a fortress close to the border between the Forsaken Lands and the kingdom of Iseria, to train with the crusaders so that you can protect yourself from the demons that might come after you now that the sword is in your possession.

Breakfast with the family went better than expected. You even told your parents the truth about what's happened since you became Galadriel's champion, and even revealed to everyone at the table that you are no longer a temporary champion, but the new permanent one. After breakfast, you made plans to go drinking with Reinhardt tonight and visited your sister and her husband Fredrick. Fredrick, though injured from the fighting, was happy to see you and informed you that his father, Captain Gregory, wanted to see you. It seems he has a job for you, one involving that pickpocket from the festival.

You look at the captain curiously. Pickpocket? When did you run into a- Oh. That pickpocket. You'd almost forgotten about him after everything that's happened.

"Yes sir, I remember him. Has he been a problem since?"

The captain sighs. "He's been a pain in the ass, yes. Apparently, someone stole several valuables from the Lord-Governors castle a few weeks ago, and the thief's description matched the one you gave us at the festival. The Lord-Governor seems content to let the matter go, but his brother Henry has been bothering me ever since to find him. I've been trying, but whoever this thief is he's a slippery bastard and I'm getting real tired of hearing Henry complain that I haven't found him yet. So, since you're in town, I thought I'd ask you for help. You might not be a guard anymore technically, but it would be worth a bag of gold to me if you found him so that fool Henry will stop bothering me already."

You consider your old captain's offer. You only have today, tomorrow, and the day after until you return to the tower. A bag of gold would be nice, but searching for the thief might cut into your free time and there's no guarantee you'll even find or catch him.

"Well, I don't know if I'll actually find him, but I'll look for him while I'm here at least. Any idea where I should start looking?"

The captain scratches his beard and thinks. "Well, he doesn't appear to have any specific place in town that he targets, but we've noticed he tends to target crowds, where he's less likely to be noticed. Your best chance would be to look somewhere a lot of people are gathering, like the market."

"Sounds easy enough. I'll let you know if I find him sir."

"Good. Be on your guard though, I don't think this guy is just a common thief."

You raise an eyebrow. "What do you mean?"

"The reports from the castle robbery say he not only managed to sneak past the castle guards, but when they finally found and cornered him he cast some sort of spell and blinded the guards, then disappeared without a trace."

Oh great, so not only does the thief have a dagger, but he knows how to use magic too. Wonderful.

"I'll keep that in mind sir." You respond, before exiting the captain's office and exit the guard post.

It is currently 1 in the afternoon. Any stores that weren't destroyed in the battle should be open by now, and the church should be starting services soon. Most people are out and about right now, either working on repairs, running errands, or training with the crusaders.

"You know we're only going to be here for three days, right?" Erika asks after you've left the guard post.

"Yeah, I know. Still, it's not like there's anything else I have to do in town, might as well try and lend a hand since I'm here."

"Okay, then where exactly should we start? 'A crowded area' isn't really much to go on."

>Check the market, that should be a good place to start.

We wouldn't side with a thief, *especially* with all the horseshit that's going on right now, like Siegfried just having been made *the actual, for real champion* of Galadriel. When word of that gets around, we're going to need to stick closest to our allies at the Tower.

Moreover, I doubt some street rat would have the means of obtaining magic, without some form of demonic or divine assistance.
>>
>>39996212
He could have stolen a magic book anon, and out of all our companions he fills the niche that can protect against traps and assassinations.
>>
>>39996239
But why, in Siegfried's eyes, would he *ever* ally himself with him? He's not going to become a companion or anything unless we meta the fuck out of this quest.

Also, traps haven't really played a major part in this quest. I don't necessarily think they're going to, either -- it's not like we've been exploring dungeons or any of that. Most of our encounters have, essentially, been skirmishes and wars.

"We'll check the market, that's usually pretty crowded."

Sure enough, the market is quite crowded when you arrive. Not as much as it usually would be, but the merchants are definitely still getting business. They advertise their wares loudly, while people crowd around their stalls and into their stores. The loud chatter of merchants and customers makes it hard to be heard.

"You'd think the market would be kind of empty after a demon attack." Erika comments, seemingly baffled at how crowded the market is despite recent events.

"Morsland is a trade city, business won't die down that easy. Besides, after all the damage the demons caused it makes sense people would come to buy tools to fix their houses or replacements for what they lost."

"I guess. Where do we look now though?"

"Now we just look around and see what we find. Try to act natural."

The two of you quietly walk around the marketplace, searching for any sign of the thief. It almost feels nostalgic, patrolling for pickpockets like you used to. Back in the day it always felt kind of boring, but at least then you never had to worry about demons.

Almost a half hour later, you can tell the boredom is starting to get to Erika, who's growing more and more impatient.

"See anything yet?"

"No Erika, not yet."

"It's been almost an hour, how much longer do we keep looking?"

"It's actually only been thirty minutes. Give it another hour or so, if we haven't found anything by then we'll go look somewhere else."

"How do you deal with this? It's so tedious and-"

"Sh!" You hush, stopping dead in your tracks. You thought you heard something familiar for a second.

"---ank you very much, but you know I can pay for these myself."

"Oh don't worry about it. Consider it a welcoming gift to Morsland."

You look in the direction of these voices, and see two people talking in front of a fruit merchant's stall. You recognize Roland, still very well dressed, speaking to a brown haired woman wearing a simple dress. Roland is currently holding a bag of fruit, apparently given to him by her.

"Well in that case, I accept. I had no idea the people of Morsland were so kind." Roland says, still not aware of your presence.

"Is that Roland?" Erika asks, only now noticing him.

"Unless he has a twin brother then I suppose so. Looks like he's busy though, we shoul-"

Just as you say that you notice that Roland's coinpurse, which you could swear was there a moment ago, has disappeared. A moment later you notice the man who just walk passed your friend. He is wearing a plain tunic, has short brown hair, and is holding a coin purse in his hand.

No doubt about it, you recognize him as the pickpocket from the festival. Meanwhile, Roland doesn't seem to notice that his coin purse has been taken.

Technically speaking there's nothing stopping her from fighting humans, but it could give Rathaniel an excuse to recall her back to the Void. Plus, she's sealed in the sword, so while she can essentially fight like a dancing sword can in DnD, she's only so effective without someone wielding her.

Plus, most of the assassins that actually succeeded in killing past Champions did so by either catching them by surprise or poisoning them.

Thinking quick, you mutter the incantation for haste and follow after the pickpocket at a quickened pace. This time, you'll make sure he doesn't get away. Once you've reached him, you pull Galadriel in her dagger form out of your belt and quickly slip it into his hand.

"Here, hold this."

"Wha-AHH!"

The thief doesn't even have time to process what you're doing before you release your hold on Galadriel and he's suddenly drawn face first onto the ground, completely caught off-guard by Galadriel's immense weight.

"Well, that's one way to catch him." Erika comments after catching up to you.

The thief's surprised shout causes some of the bystanders to turn their heads to see what's going on. This includes Roland, who turns away from the woman he was speaking to and walks over once he realizes it's you.

"Siegfried? What's going on?"

"Oh nothing, just taking care of this thief is all. Oh yeah, you might want this back." You tell him, tossing the coin purse the thief stole back to Roland.

"My coin purse? When did I lose this?"

"This guy stole it just a moment ago, while you were busy talking."

"Oh did he now?" Roland says, looking down on the captured thief. "Well, I'm glad you caught him then, thank you."

"Gah! Sweet Aureus, someone pull this dagger off me, it's crushing my hand!" The thief complains, pinned to the ground by the weight of the small dagger in his hands.

>"Don't mention it Roland. I'm going to take this guy back to guard post now, I'll see you later."
>"It's fine, would you mind lending me and Erika a hand taking him back to the guard post though?"
>"No problem. Erika, would you mind heading back to the guard post and bringing the captain here? I don't want to take any risks."

"It's fine, would you mind lending me and Erika a hand taking him back to the guard post though?" You ask, already pulling rope out of your backpack to tie the thief up.

"Sure thing." Roland says, setting down the bag of fruit. You tell him and Erika to hold the thief down while you take Galadriel out of his hands and shift her into a spear, which you then tie the other end of the rope to.

"Ah, you're leaving already?" The brown haired woman asks.

"I'm sorry, but duty calls. Thank you for the free fruit though, I appreciate it."

While Roland is busy talking to her, you start checking the thief's pockets for weapons. Sure enough, you find he's carrying a dagger.

"You and I should really stop bumping into each other like this." You remark sarcastically, stuffing the dagger into your own pocket for now.

"I'm sorry, have we met before?" The thief asks innocently. The way he says it, you can definitely tell he actually does remember you.

"The festival of creation, remember? You tried to stab me with the same dagger when I caught you then."

"Oh come on, I never really meant to hurt you. I just needed to get away was all."

"No one swings a weapon at someone unless they actually mean to hurt them."

"Okay, I'll admit, maybe there was a little hostile intent there, but it's not like I was trying to kill you. C'mon! Can't we just let bygones be bygones and let this go."

You roll your eyes. For someone about to go to jail, this guy sure is 'friendly' in a really annoying way.

"Okay, sure."

"Wait, really?"

"Yeah. But you're still going to jail for robbing the Lord-Governor's castle."

"Ah...guess I should have seen that coming"

"Yup."

With that, the three of you start marching the thief down to the guard post, leaving the woman from the fruit stall behind, looking rather disappointed. Curious, you decide to ask Roland while you walk to the guard post.

"So who was that?" You ask once you're out of earshot.

"No idea, but she was very nice to me. I've met a lot of nice people out here actually."

"Is that so?"

"Yes, it's kind of strange. They all kept asking me if I was from Galloway, and wanted to give me free things from their stall."

"...Out of curiosity, were these people all women?"

"Yes, why?"

"Nothing, don't worry about it."

While you're having this conversation, the thief marches beside you without a word, surprisingly cooperative. He hangs his head as he walks, possibly sulking over his capture.

The thief follows quickly mutters the incantation for a spell you're very familiar with, Flash. Your familiarity with the spell's incantation gives you the warning you need to cover your eyes before the spell goes off, just in time to avoid being blinded. Once the light goes away, you cover the thief's mouth to stop him from casting another spell and secure your grip on him. He's not going anywhere now.

"Dammit, will you stop resisting already?" You complain, shifting Galadriel into a whip and securing it around his waist. He won't be able to burn through that.

"Okay, so apparently the captain was right. turns out he really can cast spells." Erika says, rubbing her eyes after getting caught in the Flash.

"We can figure that out later, when we're back at the guard post. Let's just get him there first, watch him and make sure he doesn't cast another spell." You tell them, getting back up before pulling the thief back onto his feet as well.

"I don't suppose it's possible for me to convince you to let me go at this point, is it?"

"No."

"Whatif I said I was stealing so I could feed my family?"

"No."

"Even if they were all sick and needed medicine?"

"No."

"With leprosy?"

"Sir, do you think I was born yesterday?"

The thief shrugs. "It was worth a shot."

-----
A while later, you're back at the guard post with the thief in tow. He must have learned his lesson, because there were no more attempts to escape after that. Once the guards see that you've returned with the thief, they quickly usher him into a jail cell in the back, and ask you to wait for Captain Gregory to arrive. It doesn't take long for him to come down from his office to meet you.

"Well I'll be damned, I didn't think you'd find him so quickly."

"Just got lucky sir, we happened to be in the right place at the right time."

"I see. Well, I'm sure Henry will be happy to hear that we've caught him, I'll send someone to tell him now."

"Alright. Also sir, you should probably know that he really is a spellcaster like the castle guard claimed. You might want to keep a close eye on him, just in case he tries to escape again."

"Is that so? Then I suppose I was right about him. Do you know how he learned to cast magic?"

"No sir."

"Then I suppose I'll have to have a little chat with him myself." The captain says, cracking his neck.

The captain scratches his beard thoughtfully. "Hmm...well, I don't see why not. See what you can learn from him, and call me in if he gives you trouble or tries anything funny."

"Thank you sir."
-----
The jail lies in the back of the guard post, behind a reinforced door. Most of the cells are empty, save the one at the end where the thief is now sitting. You, Erika, and Roland pull up chairs and sit in front of his cell, while the thief sits on the prison in front of you, behind the iron bars of his cell.

"Well what do you know, it's only been five minutes and I'm already getting visitors. I had no idea I was so popular."

"We're just here to ask you a few questions."

"Is that so? And why should I bother answering them?"

"Such as?"

"Thief, burglar, cutpurse, bastard, asshole, and a lot more that are less nice, though Sirus is what I prefer."

You roll your eyes and move on. "Alright, next question then. where did you learn to cast spells? What's your foci?"

Sirus looks at you quizzically "The Void's a foci?"

"The thing you use for spellcasting?"

"You need something to cast spells? Well no one told me apparently."

"Who DID teach you spellcraft anyway?"

"No one, I'm self taught. When I was young, there was a wizard who stopped in town on his way somewhere else. He left his bag unattended, so I swiped it while he wasn't looking and found his spell book. Still can't use everything in it, but I learned enough."

'As revolting and I find this man, he must be quite talented to cast spells without a foci' Galadriel chimes in.

"Alright, anything else you wanted to know, or can I go back to my riveting game of 'count the cracks in the wall' now?" Sirus asks snidely.

"Here's a question then, why are you still cutting purses? You already robbed the Lord-Governor's castle, why even bother stealing some random guy's purse? For that matter, if you're skilled enough to learn magic, has it crossed your mind that you could be earning a lot more money then doing small time heists with those skills?"

"I said I've learned -some- spells, not a whole lot. Most of the ones I know are for escaping and sneaking around anyways. And why would I stop? I love stealing."

"Pardon?"

"Have you ever tried it? There's a certain thrill to theft you can't find anywhere else. You can't help but think 'What if I'm caught? What if someone sees me take this guy's purse?', and there's a certain sense of pride in not getting caught or escaping the guards when they come after you, I just can't explain it. I might have started because I needed money, but now I do it because it's what I enjoy. I can't stand normal jobs, they're too damn boring! What's the point of living if you're not enjoying what you're doing, you know?"

"That's perhaps the dumbest excuse I've ever heard in all my years as a guard."

Sirus shrugs. "Maybe it is dumb, but it's what I enjoy."

You sigh, already just about done with this guy. "Alright, and why didn't you skip town already? You should have known people would be hunting you after you robbed the castle."

"Ahaha, that's kind of embarrassing actually." Sirus laughs, rubbing the back of his neck. "I was actually supposed to skip town today on a caravan heading north today, but I thought I'd steal one last purse before I left, for old time's sake. Then lo and behold, there was your rich looking friend there, carrying a hefty purse and completely distracted by that merchant lady. I could tell his accent was foreign too, so I figured I'd never run into him again after I grabbed his purse, but then suddenly you showed up, and here I am now."

"You're awful forthcoming about all this. You know you've pretty much confessed to everything at this point, right?"

"Doesn't matter if I confess or not, as soon as that crybaby Henry hears I'm here, I'm done for no matter what."

Just then, you hear the reinforced door open up and turn to see Captain Gregory leaning in through the doorway.

This is actually a really important point, so I want to harp on it a bit. In the medieval era theives were delt with rather harshly. Stealing meant someone would go hungry or at least face a major setback. And they didn't have the surplus to just keep people locked up. So that meant either extract some kind of labor from them, or, more commonly, mutilation or execution. These attitudes were even more pronounced among city dwellers, of which Sieg is one of. I imagine pre-Watchtower Sieg wouldn't have bothered with him, but after being on the line he's a bit more eager to get some more people out there with him, even if that person is a thief.
>>
>>40005993
"Almost sir, just have a few more questions for him."

"Make them quick then, the Lord-Governor is almost ready to put him on trial."

"Already?"

"Henry's been waiting for this, I'm surprised he took as long as he did. Just finish up quickly and tell me what you've learned after."

"Will do sir."

The door shuts once again, and you turn back to face Sirus the thief once again. In all honesty, you think he's an absolute fool and his reasoning for being a thief really pisses you off, but you can't help but think how he's managed to cast spells without a foci apparently since he was 10 or 8. As much as you don't like him, you have to admit that's quite the feat, and if he could put that talent towards something more helpful...

'Galadriel, is there any way to conscript criminals to the watchtower instead of serving in prison'

You can feel Galadriel's surprise in the back of your mind when you ask. 'I believe there is, yes. But are you sure about this? He doesn't seem the most trustworthy sort.'

'Maybe not, but he's got talent, you said so yourself. And as much as I don't like him, he could be helpful, and the more helpful people we have at the watchtower, the less likely I am to get stabbed in the back or killed by a demon.'

'There is wisdom in that...If you feel you can keep him in line, then I will support your decision. Tell your captain you wish to enact the Rite of Conscription, he should know what that means.'

"Hey, are you gonna sit there and daydream all day, or can we get this over with already?" Sirus asks, snapping you back to reality.

"Right, sorry. I just have one more question for you."

"And what's that?"

"Have you ever stolen from a demon before?"

Your question catches everybody off guard, including Sirus.

"Siegfried, what are you saying?" Roland asks you, bewildered.

"Yeah, you're not asking him what I think you are, are you?" Erika asks, just as caught off guard as Roland.

"I might be." You answer honestly. "So, have you?"
>>
>>40006878
"Uh...no, no I haven't. Do demons even have things you can steal?"

"They have weapons, armor, probably something they use for currency."

"Okay, and just why would I want to steal from a demon?"

"You said it yourself, you steal for the thrill right? Can't get much more thrilling than stealing from a demon."

"I've...never really thought about that, but I guess you're right. What does all this have to do with anything though?"

"As much as I don't like you, I have to admit you've got talent to be able to cast spells without a foci. We're on the brink of a new Crusade, we could use all the talent we've got. If you'll agree to behave yourself, I'll talk to the captain and see if you can't serve your sentence at the watchtower instead of in prison."

"As tempting as that sounds, you're going to have a rough time convincing Henry to allow that."

"You just leave that to me. So what will it be, rot in prison your whole life, or come to the watchtower and serve your sentence there?"

Sirus considers the offer carefully. The others stare at you with faces that can only translate as 'Are you crazy?', but you wait quietly for his answer regardless.

"Alright, fine. Watchtower has to be better than prison or the headsman's axe. Good luck convincing Henry though."

"Like I said, leave that to me."

-----
You, Erika, and Roland exit the reinforced door to the jail and find Gregory, Henry, another man whom you assume is the Lord-Governor, and about five other guards waiting for you.

"About time." Henry complains. "Have you gotten a confession out of him yet?"

"Yes." You answer truthfully.

"Good! Then let's get on with the sentencing then, shall we?"

"Henry, I've already told you, he has to go to trial first before being sentenced."

"Oh what's the point? If he's already confessed then a trial is just a waste of everybody's time."

"Sir, if I could speak with you privately first?"

"Oh whatever it is, can't it wait until-"

"Of course Siegfried." The captain interrupts, leading you to the side while Henry shoots him the stink eye.

"Sir, why is this Henry guy hate the thief so much? It goes a bit beyond how any normal person reacts to theft."

"Well, apparently a lot of the valuable stolen belonged to Henry. When they actually saw him, he was actually going through the drawers in Henry's room."

"Is that it?"

"He also apparently knocked Henry out when he was spotted. Henry claims he tried to kill him, but the castle guard's report says he just cast some sort of spell that put him to sleep. I suppose his pride was more wounded then he was."

So in the end, this was all more about pride than anything else. That would explain why the Lord-Governor was ready to let the robbery go while Henry wouldn't.

"Is that all you wanted to pull me aside for?"

"No sir, there's more. I spoke to the thief, Sirus, and I've learned a lot about him, one of which being that he's a self taught mage, and the other that he's been casting spells without a foci."

"And just what's a foci?"

"It's what spellcasters use to help them cast spells, sir. The fact he can actually cast spells without one is amazing, as much as I hate to praise him. If he actually had a foci and put his mind to more helpful things, he could actually be a valuable asset."

"What are you getting at Siegfried?"

"Sir, Galadriel and I are considering enacting the Rite of Conscription for Sirus."

"The rite?! Siegfried, do you have any idea how upset Henry will be if you do that?"

"Sorry sir, I was just thinking-"

"No, I'm not discouraging you, I personally think it will be hilarious to see the look on that pipsqueak's face when you do. All I'm saying is that, even if he has no power, you'd be making an enemy of a noble if you did so. Are you sure you're willing to do that?"

"I'm sure sir. If this is all about Henry's pride though, I think I might be able to spin so he actually agrees with the rite."

"Very well then, I wish you luck. The rite does not require noble support to work though, so keep that in mind if he refuses."

The two of you then return to the rest of the group, where Henry is tapping his foot impatiently.

"Good, you're done, now can we get this underway already?"

"Actually, sir, if I could have a moment of your time I'd like to speak with you about the prisoner as well."

Henry sighs. "Must you? Fine, whatever, I suppose that thief's not going anywhere anyways."

The guards give you some space, as does the Lord-Governor and Captain Gregory, who start discussing something in hushed tones.

"Well then, make it quick." Henry says, crossing his arms.

"Sir, I know you dislike this thief, and for good reason, but if you would allow it I would ask that rather than locking him up you let my companions and I take him back to the Watchtower with us."

"What?!" Henry shouts. "Why in the Void would I ever do that? I'll have you know he nearly killed me!"

>"Sir, you've seen what the demons have done here, and I'm sure you know that another Crusade is on the horizon. Taking him to the watchtower may be an even worse punishment than prison, he'll be forced to risk his life fight demons, and could very well be killed or captured."
>"I know sir, but just think of how others would respect you for it. You would be the man who showed his attacker mercy, and even gave him a chance to redeem himself of his crimes."
>"Sir, I'm afraid you don't have much of a choice. I'm enacting the Rite of Conscription, he's coming with us regardless."

Tell him that Sirius is likely to get skewered on the front lines.

Might not want to stress that too much in the public part of the trial, or it will have a negative impact on any recruitment drives for the crusades in the future.

Both butter him up, and let him get his revenge.

Also if he tries to run away i can simply chop of some of his limbs like i did to Andras.
It's a win-win for everyone. You get good publicity, the thief gets punished and has to earnestly work to redeem him self and the watchtower gets a valuable recruit. What do you say lord Henry?

"Hm..." Henry grunts, thinking over what you've said.

"And just think, you'll be the man who showed his attacker mercy, and even gave him a chance to redeem himself of his crimes. Justice will still be done, but you'll come out looking all the better."

Henry ponders this for a moment, before a smile starts to spread on his face. "Yes, yes you may be right."

"Then do we have your permission?"

"Hm...why not? I'm a benevolent man, who am I to hold a grudge?"

It takes all your willpower not to roll your eyes, but you bare with it and motion for everyone to return.

"Gentlemen, I've decided!" Henry announced, the same annoying smile on his face. "Rather than imprisoning this man, I would like to petition for him to serve his sentence at the watchtower instead."

"I see no reason to deny it." The Lord-Governor says. "Does anyone else object?"

"No sir." Captain Gregory agrees.

"Very well, then it's settled. We shall sentence this Sirus the Thief to service in the White Watchtower. May Aureus in the Void guide him towards redemption."

With that, the group begins to part, with Henry and the guards he came with exiting the guard post while Captain Gregory and the Lord-Governor stay behind to speak with you.

"Well I'll be damned, you actually managed to butter that oversensitive child up enough to convince him."

"I must admit, when the captain informed me of your intentions I had my doubts. You have my gratitude, this resolves the matter and my brother did not have to lose face."
>>
>>40008576
"Thank you sir, it wasn't too hard to convince him with a new crusade on the way."

"I see, so that's how you swayed him then. I thank you Champion, I shall have your payment sent to your address by tomorrow, with an extra gift from me for handling the matter such a way that my brother did not have to look more foolish then he already has."

"Thank you sir. What's going to happen to Sirus now?"

"He will have to wait here until you and your companions are ready to leave, there are certain preparations that must be made before one who has been conscripted by the rite can leave. Just a few precautions, to make your job easier. I must go now, there is much for me to do between now and then, so I must bid your group farewell. May Aureus smile on you and your friends."

With that, the Lord-Governor leaves as well, followed shortly by Captain Gregory.

"Man, that guy talks waaayy too formally, even for a noble, but at least he's not an ass like his brother." Erika comments once they're out of earshot.

"I agree, but Siegfried, are you sure this is a good idea? I mean, you're letting a thief into the watchtower. It might work for the Gray Watchtower, but things are a little different at the White Watchtower."

"It'll be fine, I might not like the guy but he's got talent, and we're gonna need all the help we can get once the crusade starts. Besides, if he tries something we could always just send him back here for Henry to deal with."

"I guess. Anyways, let's get out of here, it's already starting to get late."

Alright, I'm going to call it a night here guys. I'll stick around to answer questions for a bit if you've got them. Next thread will be either tomorrow or Monday, keep an eye on the twitter just to be sure.

Thanks for playing guys, I hope you all had fun. I'll admit I wasn't expecting you guys to try and add Sirus to the party, but it's cool. See you guys next thread.

>I'll admit I wasn't expecting you guys to try and add Sirus to the party

Recruitment boners are strong what can I say?

Hey do you already have a unmasked Galadriel pic? I saw a decent one in a paladin art thread the other day and saved it if you want it. I understand if you want to keep it a secret and all though.
>>
>>40008643
Considering how forthcoming he was with his motives, and how....easy to work with....said motives are?

I'm not kidding when I say that booze is the biggest thing he'd steal. It's not really fun to steal weapons and armor, and the only macguffin to steal is Galadriel. Running away from extremely sober knights sounds way more thrilling.

and that's assuming he won't enjoy stealing from demons.
>>
>>40008643
Sparks, you gave the guy a unique picture to show us what he looked like, what would you have thought would happen?

Of course we're going to recruit him.
>>
>>40008643
So considering its crusade conscription magic is involved right?
>>
>>40008643
Thanks for running Sparks, I guess we figured we already passed up on recruiting/reforming an infiltrator for the party when we killed the doppelelf. This was a ripe opportunity the anons didn't want to pass up by the looks of it.
>>
>>40008688
If you try to recruit every character with a portrait we are going to have serious character bloat mang.
>>
>>40008643
Right. We might want to recruit his whole thieves guild full of chicks as well.
>>
>>40008688
I got the impression we could use a handy thief/rogue in the party and this guy wasn't a total dickass.
>>
>>40008752
I figured we'd use him for a raid on another farm mission, this time, with us prepared to escape. That and having him teach us about stealth and sneaking magic.
>>
>>40008679
I do have one, but if you have one by all means feel free to post it. If I like it better I may switch to it.
>>40008688
>>40008723
Yeah, in hindsight I guess I should have seen it coming. I'm not upset about him being recruited, actually I feel it could make for fun times, just for some reason I thought no one would care about him and just move on to the tavern.
>>40008689
Something along those lines. You won't have to worry about him running away, that's all I can say.
>>40008725
Will that be before or after you play poker with the demon lords?

Alright, spoilering incase you do switch to it and anons want it as a surprise or something. Never know.

I imagine the last pair of wings are off screen.
>>
>>40008783
Joke's on them. Last time i went to Vegas i earned enough money from poker to not have to work for half a year, but i might be on a watch-list in a few casinos.
>>
>>40008783
>before or after you play poker with the demon lords
Before of course, so we can have them serve drinks and snacks in a distracting manner during the game while secretly spying on the demon lords hands, obviously.
>>
>>40008783
>Will that be before or after you play poker with the demon lords?
>Alastor, did you just get everyone to fold with a pair 6?
>These pansies keep backing down. When will someone show me a REAL challenge!?

>Will that be before or after you play poker with the demon lords?
Knowing Alastor, that actually might be a possibility, you know...

>Alastor, Demon Lord of Wrath, I hereby proclaim that I am CALLING YOUR BLUFF!
>>
>>40008807
Oh, that one? It's good, but not quite what I had in mind. The closest I could find to what I imagined I had to crop though because there was another person in the picture.
>>40008821

Quint-dubs and dubs confirm.
Demon poker night seems fun.
