After making sure that my texts were sent, I place my phone next to me on the couch and look around the room... After getting my fill of Gabrielle hugs, I get up from the couch and walk over to the terrace. Charlotte's still surrounded by way more birds than I've ever seen up close before, but there seems to be slightly less of them than there were while I was with Gabrielle.

"Are you feeling better now that you're not on your feet?" I ask Charlotte.
"Little bit," Charlotte mumbles.
"Do you need a glass of water or something?"
"No," she shakes her head. "Just... need to rest my mind for a lil' bit, is all..."

She really seems out of it.

"Okay, then..." I say, concerned about the way she seems to be drifting in and out of consciousness. "...well I'm right here if you need anything, okay?"
"'Kay."

Since it doesn't seem like there's anything that I can get for Charlotte to make her feel better, I sit down next to her and hold her hand instead.

I never thought her Branch would be so potentially dangerous for her to use.

"Right here..." Charlotte mumbles, clutching my hand so tightly that it almost hurts. "...I'm right here..."
"You sure she's gonna be okay?" Gabrielle asks.
"I hope so," I reply. "It seems like she just needs to pull herself together after linking up with so many animals... I think."
"If you say so," she shrugs. "Hang in there, okay?"

Gabrielle leans in and kisses Charlotte on the forehead, then walks back to the couch where she was sitting before and resumes her game.

"Mmrrr?"

Concerned for her "mother," Milla nudges Charlotte's legs with her nose.

"Milla..." Charlotte calls out. "...thass right, you're over there and I'm right here..." she laughs. "...and Cecile's here next to me wearing that cute dress I made..."
"That's right, "I say, squeezing her hand back.

Looks like she's starting to come around.

"Wha!?" I flinch as my phone goes off.
"Better get that," Charlotte mumbles. "It might be your sister..."
"Yeah," I nod. "Are you going to be alright by yourself, though?"
"Mmhmm," she replies. "Gettin' better by the minute."
"If you say so."

Letting go of Charlotte's hand, I pick up my phone and hurry to answer it before whoever called me hangs up.

"Hello?"
"Cecile!?" Theresa shouts. "Are you okay? I didn't get your text until class let out!"
"Wha?"

I glance over at the wall clock and it's indeed just past 2 PM. Wow.

Looks like user participation's died down so I guess I'll end the thread here.

I think I'll try and run next on Friday night, but I can't really promise anything on account of real-life bullshit. If I'm not able to run then, the next thread will be on Sunday night.
