I'm not eager to start a fight right this minute, but I also don't want her getting too far away from us.

"Alright then," Charlotte nods, "follow me."

I can hear the fluttering of wings all over the place as Charlotte creeps out of our hiding place and motions for us to follow her. Carefully, we move from building to building in order to close the gap between us and my mind-controlled friend.

"You know..." I hear Sun-Mi call out, "It's kinda rude of you to just ignore me like that."

Suddenly, Charlotte pulls me and Gabrielle behind a dumpster. I bend the light around the area to see what the hell's going on, and it turns out that Mina and Sun-Mi are just around the corner from us.

"Wha?" Mina glances back at Sun-Mi, who has her hands on her hips. "What are you talking about?"
"You walked right by your best friend and didn't even bother to say hello," Sun-Mi says. "What, have you already forgotten about me?"

I nudge Charlotte's arm, and I guess she has the same idea as me. Nodding without a word, she creeps out from behind the dumpster that's serving as our cover, crouches down, and launches herself towards Sun-Mi and Mina.

"Wha?" The sudden movement catches Mina's eye and she glances over at the oncoming Charlotte...

...and with a loud crash, her armor's arms explode into little bluish-purplish bits of whatever the hell it is that they were made of. As the arm bits fall to the ground around them and crumble into dust, Mina's armor stumbles back a few steps as if it actually felt the pain from being maimed.

Sun-Mi wastes no time in punching it right in the face as hard as she can, sending it flying back several yards before it reaches the limit of Mina's Branch's range and disintegrates.

With a spooky hollow metal roar, Mina's armor launches a punch right for Charlotte's face. I breathe a sign of relief as Charlotte dodges it... but in doing so, she loosens her grip on Mina just enough for her to finally break free.

"Sun-Mi!" Charlotte shouts while the armor does its best to force her away from its owner. "Don't let her get away!"
"Got it!" Sun-Mi shouts back as she chases after her mindcontrolled girlfriend...

...but it looks like Mina's the faster of the two. Though she's running in a big circle in order to keep close enough for her armor to keep Charlotte occupied, Sun-Mi is just not able to catch up with her at all.

Maybe I ought to try and help...?

"GGGGGGHGHAHAGAGHAGH-" Mina suddenly starts convulsing and collapses onto the ground.
"I swear to God," Theresa growls, "I'm going to kill that bitch for making me do this."

As awful as it is to see Mina get hit with one of Theresa's stunguns, it's still pretty much the perfect move for her to have made in this situation. The armor that Charlotte was fighting is frozen in place and Mina herself is still struggling to get up... both Charlotte and Sun-Mi seem to be keeping their distance from her at the moment, though.

I guess that means that it's finally time for me to make my move!

Finally letting go of the light that I'd been bending in order to watch all of this, I duck out from the dumpster and into full view of the combatants.

I guess the point of all of this was to try and wear out Mina's mindcontrol, but she's struggling pretty hard here and it's only a matter of time before the bitch controlling her tries something else.

There's been some differences in character and the like since I'm going over material that I wrote before everyone was fully fleshed out so now I'm going over that material with their end-of-quest characterization in mind, but it's not hard at all to get back into that mindset.
I mean, I was writing those characters for nearly two straight years, they're still all up there in my brainmeats.
