Are we trying to push nervous systems as undead monsters as an alternative to skeletons? If so I'm on board. If anything its scarier to deal with a magical mass of tendrils attached to a seeing brain than the clacking 30 pound pile of who cares.

More so because I can see more nerve thralls being magical than skeletons.

Ava (panicky orange girl) is looking for Macguffins, and in the course of the search blundered into a religious rally/corporate orientation. In the course of it she was, "randomly," selected to be, "improved," and then locked into the cyborg machine. Unfortunately the bitchy technician was still inside, and she berated Ava while standing in precisely the wrong spot. Ava leaned on the, "Go," button by accident, and horror ensued.

Make it a squad of specialist undead controlled by the soul which is in turn controlled by the necromancer
>>

Hmm I like this idea.
>>
>>41811829
Kamikaze unit

They fill themselves of poison, attach to an enemy and release the gas in a deadly horrible parody of a kiss
Or the other way around, sucking air out of another body
Or again filling it with more air until it explodes
>>
>>41812088
Sucking air out of a body is by far the best power.

Which I'm *definitely* using next session.
>>
>>41811929
No, this works perfectly in a situation where a necromancer has many souls to work with but not enough bodies, either because the villagers burn their dead to stymie his efforts or an environment where bodies decompose too fast.

So instead of powering one body with one soul, he breaks up the body into 10 pieces and gives each to a different soul.
>>
>>41810198
Yes, this was made using specialised preservation/extraction techniques.
>>
>>41811929

>>
>>41812153
Magic son.
>>
>>41812164
I meant what form of movement would they display, the Skeleton, Digestive System and Lungs are obvious, but what about the others?
>>
>>41811789
These are all monsters you can make from the components of a single body

A hair monster would be quite small
What about a swarm of hairy crawlers? The hair fibers rearrange in forms of worms, spiders et similia and are used to fight heavily armoured enemies, painfully and frenetically burrowing their way inside fleshy bits

1 or 2 of these monsters would be a start from a normal scalp
the more you cut them the tinier and more numerous they become though

>>41811763
What would this thing even do?
>>
>>41812153
The nervous system ticks across the ground in a parody of bipedal motion with a thousand little feet. It sounds not unlike a horde of rats stampeding over the ground, and the upper body swivels and sways like a drunken man, a bedsheet in the wind, or a hunting serpent.

The flayed skin slithers and crawls, undulating and sweeping before it coils over its prey. To cross gaps it bounds, then flutters with a dozen slipshod wings to glide as far as it can.

Skeletons saunter and sprint, clacking all the while, creating their macabre percussion and creak of bone. They will bend unnaturally at the joints by going in directions the muscles used to prevent, and the bones themselves will bend like trees in a gale.

Muscle bodies squeeze and stretch like a giant snail or a mass of tongues, reaching blindly and slapping wetly over the distance. They spring for sudden movement and coil in a meaty tide over and around obstacles. Including their prey.

Offal goliaths are mighty serpents, slithering around in a tight braid and unleashing their full length to intimidate or strike. Their lung heads sputter and bob, and somehow this noisy squelching directs them blindly to the opponents of the necromancer, where their deadly kiss bloodies the mouth of their victims. A fully unwound pile of guts can easily bind a strong man like an endless length of rope.
>>
>>41812291
It would be a clever pun. It could probably also help around the study. Though badly because it would get lymph all over things.
>>
>>41812197
Well, since the lung can inflate and explode maybe the skeleton can use it as a grenade?
>>
>>41809637
Yeah. This is why you kill the mage first.
>>
>>41812307
that is amazing and you should feel amazing.
>>
>>41812197
Mostly just like they would do if they were still inside a body, kind of like floating organ ghosts

With the exceptions being the entrails wyrms, moving line a snake, the skin strangler, acting as a flying squirrel until an enemy approaches to be entangled and strangled and the muscles blob being the most disgusting slinky ever
>>
>>41812369
Kill the leader first. Medic second. Everyone knows that.
>>
>>41809637
Reminder that bones are not the shade of white that you know them to be. They are actually a dark brown/red color. The bones that you have seen in museums or in a science class are bleached so that you do not recognize them as human and so you do not have an instinctual panic attack when you see them.

Timothy Leary said you were the neuron;

>The seventh brain kicks into action when the nervous system begins to receive signals from WITHIN THE INDIVIDUAL NEURON, from the DNA-RNA dialogue.
>The first to achieve this mutation spoke of "memories of past lives," "reincarnation," "immortality," etc.
>The "akashic records" of Theosophy, the "collective unconscious" of Jung, the "phylogenetic unconscious" of Grof and Ring, are three modern metaphors for this circuit.

>Neurons constantly rewrite their DNA

>Fearful memories haunt mouse descendants

And now, we're supporting his statements. He also said that consciousness had an even more fundamental substrate; the atom. It's not logical to presume he was right about atomic consciousness just because he was right about neuronal consciousness, but the fact that he made one accurate prediction about consciousness provides the justification to fund research to prove atomic consciousness.

>>
>>41812566

It has nothing to do with preventing panic attacks. Bleeching the bones makes then clearer to see, more sanitary, and of course mimics what happens to raw bones over a long period of time. When they dig up bones from the ground they come out a yellowish white, they don't stay red as the blood and flesh decompose.

This reminds me of an idea for a game I had once, where all of the players would be undead, all created from the same corpse of the same man. He made vague claims that consciousness is located in the neuron. To prove this hypothesis, a genetic memory has to exist - in other words, DNA has to be rewritten actively. The reason is that unless such re-writes are going on, there's no evidence to suggest that DNA intelligently interacts with it's environment.

Leary also makes other claims, such as Racial memory, and that DNA actively controls the development of the organism intelligently. Epigenetics has provided the mechanisms for all these things.

In other words, his hypothesis has now become a theory, due to evidence that can be interpreted to support it.
>>
>>41820424
He made fairly specific BULLSHIT claims about structure of brain and the nature of consciousness that are a joke to anyone with basic cognitive and neurological education. He claimed consciousness exists in neuron and even in atoms.
The theory that there is something like "genetic memory" is not new: hell, DNA IS memory and nothing else than a memory - a data storage unit - in the first place. That is not his idea, definitely not a new one. The theory that DNA is not entirely passive and actually interacts with the environment - a behavior that is in NO FUCKING WAY unique to neurons, mind you - is around for quite a long time.

The main problem is that Leary has no fucking CLUE what consciousness what memory - cognitive memory that is - actually is.

Epigenetic's have absolutely NOTHING to do with consciousness. Or memory in the strict sense of the word. OF FUCKING COURSE DNA carries information of the organisms philogenetic "experience".

Super easy. Do that one scene from the cell then animate the intestines so it strangles the victim to death. Animate nails to burrow into the victim since the actual nail is dead. It was called bodyworks. Went all over the states and europe. Guy got in trouble over some provocative poses and rumors of obtaining bodies illegally. The illegal body deal turned out to be a merchant selling chinese deathrow inmate corpses as legal corpses and no one knew.

Isn't a cardiovampire just a jogger who got bit by a vampire?
>>
>>41825387
No it's a Vampiric Cardiovascular System, that makes more of itself by sucking all of your blood out, and taking your heart and blood vessels with it.

Also underrated post.

Don't forget shonen mecha fan necromancers too. Naturally, they get really strong when combined.
