At the top of the Shotgun Kiss, where the prisoners don’t see the light of day, a painting hangs on the wall. Trapped within its colors is the spirit of a horrified girl. A group of idiots wants to set her free. This is where you are.

With the former cultist (and active prisoner) Hubbard’s power to see spiritual potential, you were able to track down Agent Spooky in her spirit form, leading you to the Solitary Confinement part of the prison. Into an old dungeon cell to be more specific. Here, a prisoner is chained to the wall, poor guy is wearing a heavy iron mask, and is in a rough shape — but he’s far from the only suffering soul within these walls. Odetta’s cousin, Jaylene, is trapped within the painting by some type of curse. You have little to no clue why there’s a painting inside this cell, but it’s not the time to ask questions! There are more issues to be concerned with… Mr. Explosion-Earthquake man, aka, the other intruder is here! The person causing havoc through the prison who has nothing to do with the havoc that you and your friends have been causing! Your morally superior chaos!

Hubbard wants you to run away with the painting. Agent Spooky thinks you should handle this directly with the intruder, violently or not. And the prisoner… the prisoner weeps because you’re ignoring him. You’ll keep doing that. But what else?! Your options are limited!

From what you hear, the old guard is not in the best track to stop the interference. Very diplomatic old man, not very effective! Gotta think fast!

What’s the plan now?!

>You think diplomacy is failing because you’re not in charge. Talk to the Intruder, negotiate. You’re both intruders, you’re bound to have something in common.
>Break the wall, and jump out of here with the painting in hand. Climb to the nearest window, the closest to the locker room where Aurora is waiting.
>Even if you are unsure that the intruder is coming into this cell, prepare for a sneak attack in case it happens.

Votes:

Votes are counted until 25 minutes have passed. This rule doesn't apply to the last reply of the day.
Votes that require a dice roll are counted until 15 minutes have passed, so we can speed up the process. Rolls are counted until 10 minutes have passed, so be prepared!

(NEW) Dice Mechanic:

We always roll 1d100s!
Since most people weren’t happy with the system of averaging top four rolls, we’re using best of 2/3/4 depending on the attribute a prompt requires. If Johnny is a genius and it’s a Knowledge based roll, he gets more rolls (Max. 7)! If he sucks, he gets less dice (Min. 2)!

When asked for rolls, I will specify how many you’re going to get. Rolling begins after it’s asked.

Rolling 100 is a critical! There are no Critical Failures anymore!

The difficulty of the roll is tied with the effectiveness of the action. In other words, the harder the option the better the result!

Don’t forget that at the end of the day, this is a story-driven quest! What the prompts are describing is more important than the difficulty of the rolls, for results in a fight.

Again, rolls are only counted when they are posted within ten minutes of being asked, so watch out!

Prisoners understand prisoners, Guards understand guards, Intruders understand intruders, right? Is that how it goes? You’re going to find out. You’ll be talking with this person. At worst, you’ll be ready to face them in simpler terms. You’ll let the group know.

“I think I’ll try to talk this out.” You say. “Can’t assure the painting doesn’t get damaged otherwise.”

“You cannot be serious...” Hubbard doesn’t know enough about your antics to take you seriously.

“I am. Talking worked before, did it not?” You rub your previous victory in his face. “Violence is not always the answer.”

Hubbard sighs, but all he can do is depend on you. He has grown wiser to not risk his safety. The prisoner wails but doesn’t do much more.

“You’re not asking enough questions then.” Odetta desires blood through the phone. You feel like she has never been this violent before, but you aren’t sure if violence has been a barrier for her. What you know is she isn’t this emotionally driven, at least, not this anxious. She doesn’t want you to fuck this up.

“Haven’t I won a little bit of your trust?” Your gut instinct brought her to this moment after all!

“You’re always ready to cash in even the faintest bit of good faith you’ve earned, huh?” Spooky feels forced to accept.

“All I hear is that you trust me on this one.” You wiggle your eyebrows.

“Do it. Even if I don’t want to, I’ll have your goddamn back...” Odetta will make sure you’ll be on the winning side. It’s oddly reassuring for you.

You step out of the cell to confront the intruder. The scene isn’t much different than it was when you entered. The old guard has his hands raised in a gesture to calm down the assailant, but it’s not doing much. Both know it’s pointless, but neither is aggressive enough to escalate the situation. The other guard who warned you all about the intruder is nowhere to be seen.

The Intruder is a woman in a formal suit, it’s as pristine as it is bright — she’s also sporting a traditional hat of considerable size, similar to what people wear at folk festivals around the city during some holidays. She’s eye-catching, confident that she doesn’t need a change of wardrobe to sneak in here. No notes on the eyepatch, you don’t get it. She has many bags around her belt, you can’t tell what they have. You cannot help but feel she’s lucky that your team disabled security. Regardless, she’s carrying a depleted guy around your age, he’s the embodiment of no stamina. And both are carrying dark flames.

“But would you look at that? Another one! Hello!” The woman smiles from ear to ear. “I want to go in there, so step aside unless you’re willing to do business.”

“M-Madam, please, the people within these borders are here for good reason. I vouch for this…” The poor old guard pleads.

“You sweet gentleman, if it wasn’t business, I’d step aside.” The intruder doesn’t sound as apologetic as she’d want. Whatever she’s going to get from this, excites her more. “You over there.” She turns to you. “This is my last step, and I feel generous. Look the other way and you’ll be unharmed.”

“The more we can avoid anyone getting hurt, the better.” You don’t want to sound hostile.

“Will you step aside then?” The intruder wonders, noticing not much compliance on your end.

“It’s not that simple. Let’s talk for a moment, you gave my fellow coworker a moment. So spare me a minute or two.” You ask politely.

“Are you willing to sit at the negotiation table? I sense that you’re perhaps a Flame Specialist. My favorite resources.” The Intruder is throwing guesses. “I was bound to meet one in this place.”

“I’m not entirely sure what that entails.” You act reasonably.

“It means if our talks go well, we will forge one of these.” The intruder snaps her finger to make appear some sort of phantom contract. “Call me Lady Steen, Flame Specialist. Ordinary people can’t see them. It’s all *my* power.”

Arcane magic…” The old guard throws into the trash what the woman is insinuating. Or maybe he’s a special little guy. Who knows?

“Ignore him…” Lady Steen feels overshadowed. “I should put a caveat on my words.” She mutters to herself. Underestimating people usually backfires, so you get it.

“He might not be the only *special* ordinary guy.” You love when your words contradict themselves. Language is funny.

“Will you sit down with me or not?” She’s eager to negotiate.

“Might have to. What do I stand to gain from signing one of those?” You wonder.

“A deal. One we both will abide by.” Ms. Steen softly smiles. “It’ll have whatever you like it to have, and whatever I want it to have.”

“It isn’t sounding like a bargain if I’m being honest.” You adjust your glasses. “But let’s find out what I can get out of this.”

“Good, I like your spirit, young entrepreneur.” Ms. Steen is ready to talk figures. “I have talked enough, make me interested in you. My interest can’t dwindle with you like it did with the old gentleman, as nice as he is, he offers me very little gain.” You take that back, she can’t stop underestimating people.

It appears your negotiations are more literal than you expected. You have to use your words wisely! You have enough Knowledge and Handsomeness to do well on this. Unless you say something stupid. Or maybe not. Stupid is a frail concept.

“I’d like this deal to include that we’ll both tell the truth with each other.” You think it’s the bare minimum for any negotiation.

“A charming request from an inexperienced negotiator. I’ll make it so.” Ms. Steen agrees! A phantom contract appears and writes down this first point.

“Cool. Huh, what’s up with the guy you’re carrying? Is he your friend?” You feel bad for the tired prisoner with burnt clothes.

“This Flame Specialist is my most recent business partner. He has proven useful, particularly his ability. I’ve chosen to use him to make my job easier today.” Ms. Steen explains. “We’re leaving this place together as part of our deal.”

“Does he know that...?” You scratch your cheek. He looks dead to you.

“He penned the contract. If he happens to forget, he’s in for a pleasant surprise.” Lady Steen chuckles.

“What a fever dream this all must be for him.” You joke.

“It’s the strain from using his own powers that left him in this state, he’s surely accustomed to this condition.” Lady Steen adds. If that doesn’t spell out that she doesn’t know him at all, you don’t know what else could. From this conversation you gather that messing up the contract could be disastrous, even Ms. Steen has to follow them to the letter.

“I certainly hope so.” You half chuckle. “Back to the matter. Tell me, would you happen to be associated with Chi Athua or one of the other temples?”

“I haven’t heard that name before, did you mispronounce it?” Lady Steen is puzzled. “Regardless, if the four temples are what you speak of, I was an apprentice in all four. A rich experience. I started with the Courage one, my memories are the fondest with them. You must’ve recognized my clothes’ origins, praises to you.” She liked that. “We haven’t moved the negotiation forward. Tell me what your powers are, and your name, Flame Enthusiast.”

You’d say she thinks better of you as a person but isn’t finding you useful. More or less the same situation with the old guard. You gotta show something!

What’s your name?

>“Call me Phil Noon. It’s what everyone has been doing lately.” Use your codename. Gotta keep your confidentiality in your mission!

>“I turn invisible. Can sneak in anywhere. Should show you how much I want to make this negotiation happen.” You could’ve gone for a stealth knockout, but you didn't! Tell her your powers.

“I go by Phil Noon when doing this sort of thing.” You respond truthfully while maintaining your anonymity.

“Ah, you’re not one of them.” Lady Steen’s eyes drift towards the old gentleman so slightly. She either has no problems with you using a nickname, or she didn’t get the implication. You’ll assume the former. “And your powers?”

“Invisibility of sorts. I control how light works on me, so technically it isn’t true invisibility like you’d expect if another flame user said it.” You remain truthful. “Additionally, I am quite capable in the culinary arts, and have baked a cake with an assistant in a competition against Gerard Luther that beat him 2 to 1.”

“I don’t often hear men brag about cooking desserts. What an adorable fact only matched by the gentleness of your face.” Lady Steen flirts in response. It’s a genuine sentiment thrown to destabilize you. How calculating! “We have something in common, fellow baker. Though my specialty lies elsewhere.”

“What do you enjoy baking?” You ask.

“Cookies. I can make any person smile with just one bite. You included.” Lady Steen is playfully proud of her abilities.

“Well, my cake would knock your socks off.” You wiggle your eyebrows.

“Under other circumstances, we’d square off, Lord Noon.” Lady Steen has spent enough time dilly-dallying. “You mentioned Gerard Luther, the demons’ favorite judge. Are you the reason he apologized to me? He mentioned a losing bet he couldn’t disclose as the reason for his erratic behavior.”

“I can’t take credit, they are supposed to be heartfelt apologies.” You can’t believe his apology tour reached her.

“Do you understand that you made a powerful enemy?” Lady Steen brings you back to reality.

“Enemy? We’re friendly rivals, I’d say. We even played poker after I kicked his ass. Not that I’m fond of him on a personal level.” You scratch the back of your head.

“How amusing, it greatly pleased me to see his head down.” Lady Steen likes what she’s hearing.

“How do you know each other?” You wonder.

“I tracked him down long ago before we all truly understood the stakes of this game. Luther offered his services to aid Flame Enthusiasts who weren’t too keen on their collaborators. To remove these parasites. He botched the job on a collaborator of mine and cost us greatly.” Lady Steen says in earnest.

“Is your friend fine?” You ask.

“He no longer recalls who I am. He’s healthy otherwise.” Lady Steen buries her melancholy down in her heart. “You have proven your worth. Let’s talk proper business. I’m here for the man inside the cell you came out of and every single one of his possessions. I offer you a 1000 Gor$ in gold to stay out of my way.

Lady Steen drops a bag of money. You have yet to learn about gold rates, but there are some coins inside. She can’t lie though, so their value should be the one she says!

“Does the painting in there count as part of his possessions?” You ask for clarification. “An ally’s soul is inside and I kinda wanna save her.”

“An ally’s soul…? What in the stars happened?” Lady Steen is thrown for a loop.

“Beats me, we found her like this.” You shrug. “Magic exists and flames can be wild, we can make sense of it later.”

“I concur. Curiosity be damned.” Lady Steen crosses her arms and seems deep in thought. “If I may speak freely, my contractor never specified the items themselves. I’m willing to part with it.”

“Really? Thank you a lot!” You sigh in relief.

“Easy there, I’m *willing* to part with it for a good price.” Lady Steen shakes her head. “I receive a hefty penalty if I don’t meet my contractual obligations, yet it’s a loss I can withstand. It stays a hard sell regardless. It could potentially leave me at odds with my contractor as well. Not good optics.”

“What if I make sure the painting isn’t his?” You now turn to the old guard. “Hey, sir, are the paintings prison property?”

“I apologize, young man. Everything on this floor is confidential, including the paintings. My life is less valuable than these secrets.” The old guard sounds genuinely apologetic. Now that you think about it, the other guard that was with him is gone, the young one. The one who came to warn you up and left before Lady Steen stepped inside. “Again, if I could lend a hand, I would.”

“Should we ask the prisoner then?” Lady Steen proposes. No fondness for this guy at all.

“H-Hubbard here!” The old dust shouts from within the walls. “H-He refuses to move his lips, the cretin!”

“Why not? She’s here to save his ass. Tell him he’d leave if he clarifies.” You point out.

“He says she’s here to *take him out of the prison*, he could end up dead outside.” Hubbard can’t even blame him.

“Can you assure his safety?” You think as long as she promises it, it’ll be fine, right?

“Not in a contract.” Lady Steen has no idea what her client wants from this guy, or if she does, she doesn’t know if he will let him live afterward. “Our options are limited. It’s back to the negotiation table.”

“Yeah…” You wonder why this can’t be easy.

“If you’re well acquainted with the temples, you must be aware of how our powers derive from the energy within our souls. My ability allows me to exchange monetary currency for this type of strength, and vice-versa. I can exchange money for energy, and sell my spiritual energy for money. The exchange rates aren’t profitable enough, and there’s only so much energy one can cling to before it becomes a waste.” Lady Steen feels like explaining her powers will be relevant to the deal. “My contracts are the only way I can share these resources with other Flame Enthusiasts. And my way to profit from them. I can offer and take out energy. My business partner has been spending my resources to use his ability thrice today, he’s left exhausted after one use, depleted of all energy. Which is to say, I won’t turn a profit if I fail to meet my original contractor’s demands.”

“Right.” You take the information in.

“I want you to be aware of these facts because I must ask you to offer me a deal I can’t refuse. Your exploits precede you, I’d love to have you as a business partner.” Lady Steen is ready for a bargain. “But I don’t have the luxury to waste any more time.”

You imagine that the idea of rushing to help Jaylene is out of the question.

What’s your offer? (Can offer multiple)

>Offer her to heal his stupid depleted business partner for the painting. Maybe she needs a freebie for later. Being exhausted is not a great idea though.
>Offer her 10.000 Gor$. If 1.000 were a decent offer, this should be much better! Maybe you’ll have to up the offer in case.

No matter how charming Lady Steen might be, she’s a ruthless broker, you gotta offer a leg without her knowing you have always been an amputee. What a bizarre analogy. Point is, it has to be worthy of her time, and not draining for you.

“I’m planning on offering multiple things.” You say with confidence.

“I’m all ears.” Lady Steen is keen to listen.

“I’m willing to do a job for you down the line. Nothing that can conflict with my morals or screw over anyone I know.” Your first offer.

“Even if you dislike them?” Lady Steen wants you to clarify.

“We can hash those details out later.” You adjust your glasses.

“A bit restrictive, but a good investment. What else?” Lady Steen is very receptive to this first offer.

“You may not need it, but I know a good way out of here that doesn’t require explosions.” You like non-violent, silent escapes.

“That saves resources. I’ll be taking this route first.” Lady Steen likes this one as well. She feels like you’re getting what she was getting at. “Anything more?”

“Some of the best cake in the world...” You wiggle your eyebrows.

“Haha, can’t say you didn’t put me in the mood. How about an exchange for some of my cookies?” Lady Steen breaks into a big laugh. “In a less stressful environment?”

“Deal. I mean, I don’t have the authority to say it. But you get my point.” You add.

“We’re on the same page in *most* matters.” Lady Steen is glad to hear it.

“Not convinced yet?” You wonder.

“I’m considering my options…” The Broker likes to be mysterious.

“Well, if you wish, I’ve had previous experiences regarding people’s memories. I’d be willing to try to help you get your friend’s memories back, and at least check with my allies to see if it’s even possible.”

“You’re pulling me by the heartstrings… Not many dare, with how cold I’m perceived.” Lady Steen is a smidgen surprised by your actions. “Very well, risky or not, I’ll earn my keep.” She snaps her fingers. “The contract has been established. It’s worded out as you’d like this deal to go, no fine print. My powers don’t allow me to, even if I’m wholly uninterested in fraud.”

“Right, looks good to me.” Your Level 5 Knowledge assures you that there’s nothing to fear. It's worth noting that your nickname appears in this and is stated as such. Lady Steen’s first name is Meredith.

You get to keep the Painting, get homemade Cookies, and her phone number. Lady Steen gets the prisoner, all the items he has on his person, your services for a future mission that doesn’t go against your morals or allies, indications for the escape route you’re using, a delicious homemade cake, consultancy to find a way to recover her friend’s memories — And a means to contact you (your phone number too). That’s the deal.

“A firm handshake and the contract is valid.” Lady Steen extends her hand.

“A firm handshake it is.” You handshake her handshaking hand. You feel a tingling sensation going through your body, then through hers.

“We’re bounded by its rules.” Meredith Steen snaps her fingers. “Please, hand over the prisoner.”

“This way.” You lead the way into the prison cell.

Back inside the cell, nothing has changed, well, except for the prisoner cowering in fear. And Hubbard? Cowering behind you.

“Who… Who are you?!” The prisoner speaks.

“So this is the painting, a harrowing piece…” Lady Steen is glad to hand this over to you, then turns to the person speaking to her. “I’m here in the name of Unno Ning to take you out of this prison. I have the key for this cell, your shackles, and the iron mask. Allow me to take these off you.”

“Ning? Ning hired you to save me?” The prisoner doesn’t sound rattled anymore. “The mask… The mask first! Take this thing off me!”

“Very well.” Lady Steen opens the mask to reveal a young man with long frizzy hair.

“Free… at long last…” The young man smiles with relief. Now your new business buddy opens the shackle from his leg. He stands up by clinging to the wall. “You…” His eyes open wide upon seeing you. “You… This can’t be. On your toes, this man can’t be trusted.”

“What?” You get confused.

“He said you can’t be trusted.” Hubbard acts like he’s your advisor.

“Allying yourself with Cultist Scum? Appalling.” The man harshly judges you. “We can’t allow him to keep the painting.”

“Apologies, I have given it up.” Lady Steen says, hesitation in her voice.

“Grave mistake, Ning would’ve agreed that this is essential.” The man looks irked. “He’s Ning’s arch-rival, one of Bodil’s puppets, one of the reasons my brother is no longer of this world. Where’s Ning anyway?”

“I was told he’d be distracting security.” Lady Steen explains.

“Huh, can you explain what’s going on?” You don’t wanna be rude, but you’re being accused of murder!

“Your exploits drove my brother Sigmund to madness. For that, I’ll ruin your life just like I did with every member of the Bodil Family…” The prisoner plans to destroy you. “...One day. I’m in no condition or position to scuffle. The name is Dossenius, don’t forget it. I don’t fear the likes of you.”

You have a faint memory of a Sigmund. He was one of Mama Bodil’s goons, the one who betrayed her! He couldn’t possibly mean the same one, right?! Your brain has no other recollections of another Sigmund, though it has many Roberts.

As for Unno Ning… you’re blanking on that one! You’ve never heard of that guy!

Lady Steen, Hubbard, and the Old Guard don’t know what to make of this situation. At least the Broker isn’t keen on believing this guy’s bullshit. She’s waiting for you to speak up.

How awkward…

What do you do?!

>“Sigmund? You mean the guy who backstabbed Mama Bodil? That asshole? He wanted to kill us all, besides, we didn’t do anything to him! Last time I saw him, security took him away.” Defend yourself from these accusations.
>Let them go. You need to get things done. Entertaining this guy’s nonsense will be a waste of time.
>Write In.

What’s next?

>Take the Painting away and get out of here!
>Figure out a way to undo the curse now.
>Find this Ning and punch him in the face.
>Write In.

>“Sigmund? You mean the guy who backstabbed Mama Bodil? Well, that's interesting... Lady Steen, would you be interested in meeting Mama Bodil at a later time and place to hear her side of the story? We can negotiate details later."
>"As for Unno Ning... Who? Does he know someone named Howie? Because Howie had some really punchable friends, much like himself."
>"...And finally. The painting. I don't know much in the way of what you think is right and wrong, but if you think that leaving someone in this state is okay, regardless of their crimes, then I have nothing but scorn for you."
>"Lady Steen, it was a pleasure. I'll do my best to make sure you do not regret our arrangement."
>Take the Painting away and get out of here!

Man, fuck this Shonen-ass minor protagonist dweeb.

“Sigmund? You mean the guy who backstabbed Mama Bodil? That asshole?” You don’t remember this guy fondly! He was awful all the way through, and kinda edgy and unhinged. “He wanted to kill us all, besides, we didn’t do anything to him! Last time I saw him, security took him away.”

“You say nothing knowing that Bodil antagonized the entire mafia for your and that other girl’s skin. It was a death warrant.” Dossenius won’t fight but he’ll argue back.

“You want to talk about death warrants? Well, you probably didn’t know about it, I’m not under Mama Bodil and I continued with my life like normal thanks to someone having to block the memories of all of us from a certain day, that — if I recall correctly — included your brother, Mama Bodil, a few of her men, and some random people.” Technically, his brother could’ve been taken outside and out of the range, but you mentally digress. “Because if said someone didn’t do it, we all would’ve died thanks to the repulsive alien-looking guy who didn’t want anyone to remember him. So said someone protected us from him, until recently I was able to remember by pure chance when I met them.” You don’t want to undermine Philonune’s work on recovering your memories, but you gotta show him off at his coolest, and that’s when you’re battling!

“A bigger threat put you in that spot? Hard to believe.” Lady Steen finds this prospect as fascinating as it is terrifying.

“My brother never lost his memories, they haunted him until the very end. But there’s more to this story, that I have to admit.” Dossenius lets you know. “My friend knows the type of man you are, and he has little good to say about you.”

“Gotta address that, I don’t know who Unno Ning is — maybe I would if I had a photo or something — And about the cult of Chernobog, it’s no more since a while ago. Its leader is in this place to give you an idea of how dead it is.” You point out.

“A little humble, aren’t you?” Lady Steen smiles. She knows what you did to the cult.

“Big shame… We had a true vision for the future.” Hubbard laments.

“Are you going to explain this?” Dossenius doesn’t sound as rightfully indignant as before.

“I’m just using him to help me out here. Not really fond of what he says.” You shrug.

“We’re not above such tactics either.” Lady Steen points out to the exhausted business partner she’s carrying around.

“Doesn’t matter. The cult being gone is a relief.” Dossenius believes if he could kick your ass, your mouth’d be shut.

“Finally — as I’m in a hurry — I’m taking this painting to try to find a way to liberate her. She’s related to one of my friends, and I want to see them happily reunited!” You get candid.

“Unless you can tell me of a way to do it right now or later, here’s my number, we can talk about what happened that day, and my brief meeting with your brother. Goodbye, and I’m sorry for your brother, may he be at peace.” You hand him a piece of paper with your number. You planned it for Lady Steen, but the contract made it easier by sending each one’s number to the other phone.

“I’ll take you by your word. I have a lot to think about…” Dossenius feels like he acted a little rashly. “If anything, you don’t sound old enough to be out of college, how did you get involved in all this?”

“Again, this is a story for another day. Sorry.” You sound apologetic.

“As for the painting, I can’t help. I don’t know how to bring your friend out. I hid something in the frame before the painting was placed, but now it’s sealed under the curse. If you figure this out, please, hand over what you find under it. I’ll wholeheartedly believe your story if you manage that.” Dossenius sounds respectful. Not 100% on your side, but as much as one can be in his shoes.

“It was an empty frame? Who put the painting in it?” You ask.

“A guard with long black hair and strange marks under his eyes. And yes, it was here when I was locked in here.” Dossenius explains.

“Could it be another manner of imprisonment? One to ensure she can’t leave through other means?” Meredith Steen speculates.

“The secret arts! If they were aware of this trickery, sealing their soul is the best way to keep them in captivity.” Hubbard adds to this theory.

“Good job, everyone! You figured it out, probably. Fuck if I know.” Spooky is back in zombie form! She’s clapping condescendingly.

“Phil Noon! I’m glad you’re okay!” Agent Honey Bunny goes for a hug! Poor girl was concerned.

“…” Lady Steen doesn’t say a word, you notice a tiny hint of annoyance.

“T-They’re with me. They’re my *actual* friends.” You point out to the group. Hubbard feels offended.

“Had a plan in my pocket. No sneak attack needed in the end.” Agent Spooky shrugs. She left mid-negotiation!

“We’re all friends here, right? W-We don’t have to beat anyone up?” Honey Bunny realizes she should be on guard. “Nice to meet you all if that’s the case!”

“I don’t hurt business partners.” Lady Steen reassures as she places a hand over your shoulder.

Huh...” Half-dead business partner A disagrees.

“Please, pay no mind to him. It was his own doing.” Lady Steen chuckles.

“We’re carrying two corpses with us, so I get it.” Odetta points at the painting and Hubbard. Hubbard is offended.

“I like your style! Like your hair and outfit! It’s cool!” Aurora loves the hat. “I’d love it if you give me some tips later!”

“You have an interesting look as well, despite the costume. And we might, I’m interested in expanding my contacts.” Lady Steen reciprocates. “Let’s head to the exit. We’re running out of time.”

“I’ll carry him. Let’s be efficient.” Dossenius puts the half-dead guy on his back.

“Bunny, Noon, painting is all yours. Careful with it, she’s not *that* thick-headed like this.” Odetta is urging you two to grab the painting.

“Can Hubbard take it?” You ask.

“And give him a hostage? Are you out of your mind?” Odetta doesn’t trust the old man.

“Oh yes, provoking you all is surely a winning strategy… It’s not like you have powers beyond my imagination!” Hubbard sarcastically retorts. He doesn’t see the point of putting himself in a spot like that. He has grown a lot from his reckless idiot days.

“I’ll carry it! I’m not as clumsy as I look!” Aurora wraps the painting around her body with the rope handles. She looks like she’s carrying a backpack. “See? Easy!”

“We’re not leaving all together, right?” Odetta doesn’t want to hear it.

“I’d appreciate the company as long as the logistics are sound.” Lady Steen smiles.

“Then get your asses over to the locker rooms and grab some uniforms. We’re NOT draining this lamp post out of all of his energy.” Agent Spooky proposes. “Don’t even know if he can make all of us invisible.”

“Good thinking. And I’m not sure, I could but it’d be expensive.” You point out.

“I have a caveat.” Dossenius stops the party. “The painting, wouldn’t it look suspicious if we carry it? Joining forces would make things more difficult for *us.*”

“Surely it’s a risk worth having with so many capable hands at our disposal.” Lady Steen doesn’t see the issue.

“Besides, I can make it invisible. I’ll be standing by Agent Honey Bunny’s side to ensure it.” You explain.

“Honey Bunny, huh?” Lady Steen is difficult to read.

“Ah! Cool! I was worried I’d look more stupid than usual!” Aurora sighs in relief! She loves being around you!

“Don’t say that about yourself.” You remind Rora to be nicer to herself. She promised.

“Hmm…” Lady Steen seems deep in thought.

“C’mon, Pyramid Head, we gotta go!” Odetta is annoyed by the pensiveness of the room.

You quickly make your way to the locker rooms and wait outside with the rest of your team. It’s just you, Honey Bunny, and Spooky. Everyone else is inside their respective gendered changing room changing their outfits for the last part of the mission. It is a weird moment of rest.

“Hey, big guy. What are we doing with the old fossil? He’s not coming with us, right?” Odetta wonders.

“I let 20 plus prisoners out, what’s one more?” You point out.

“You… You did what?” Odetta is flabbergasted.

“It’d be 21!” Aurora confidentially retorts. “Okay, jokes aside. Bubbles told me that our guys cleared the way to the entrance! They helped push the prisoners down to Floor D and E. So, like, Floor C is clear. Should be only guards. They’re waiting for us!”

“Who is waiting there?” Spooky asks.

“Like Slob Dragon and Big Thick Mama! They say we can also deploy Major Tom to help us out! Should we bring him over? Like, they say there’s a monster in the front courtyard…” Rora explains.

“That’s what Velenius said.” You recall.

“Reinforcements? How is he getting here?” Odetta asks the dumbest question alive. You’re talking about Galactic here!

“Like, he’ll jump over the fence! Duh!” Honey Bunny makes Spooky feel stupid.

“Haha! I’d love to see that!” Spooky grins like she loves doing.

The final bit is coming. You’re going to leave the prison once and for all.

What’s the approach for the final stretch? How will you get through the courtyard?

>Stealthily. Go one by one and sneak everyone out with your powers! (Galactic won’t be summoned)
>Run for it. Like fuck stealth for once and get out as fast as you can! (Galactic will be summoned)

“If he’s good to go, bring him here. We could use an extra pair of hands to help us.” You could’ve told Bubbles directly, but this feels more like a team meeting at this point. “I don’t see us making it out of here any other way than running. Some of us will run distraction to help you out.”

“Yeah, our escape route got blocked. No way to sneak out of this one...” Odetta scratches her head.

“He will arrive as soon as possible!” Aurora has already contacted HQ. “He’ll land on the roof!”

“We gotta give him a warm welcome, don’t we? Let’s go over there.” Odetta said she was excited to see this.

At the rooftop, you and the gals look over the prison field, expecting Galactic to show up at some point. During the wait, the others arrived with their newfound uniforms. Lady Meredith Steen refuses to let go of her eye patch and ceremonial hat. Odetta wonders why bother with the costume if she’s going to be like that. And she’s not going to be the only one she’s going to worry about their outfit being terribly unfit to pass undetected! Galactic is here! He soars from the ground, passing the clouds above you — and landing behind everyone! The Spaceman is here!

“GREETINGS! Earthlings, I have arrived once AGAIN! [HAEIOU! HAEIOU! HAEIOU!]” Galactic spreads his arms as he stands up! You were wrong, he’s wearing the guard outfit he was provided with before the mission, he looks as absurd as it sounds. Also, he looks a little beaten up. There are silly patches around his suit.

What the…?” Lady Steen is utterly bewitched by this nonsense.

“One of the accursed children…?!” Hubbard loses his footing. He’s terrified of this Calamity.

“I thought the alien was your enemy…” Dossenius is wary again. Who confuses astronauts with aliens?

“He’s another one of our buddies, this is Agent Major Tom! An astronaut!” You enthusiastically present the Star Explorer knowing well that he fancies a good introduction. “Thanks for coming, bud!”

“It’s good to see you, Major Tom!” Aurora goes for a hug! She loves hugs! And Galactic does too!

“Call me a non-believer, ‘cause I didn’t picture you just jumping to get here… This shit is mental.” Odetta admits she has no imagination whatsoever.

“As an [EXPLORER OF THE UNKNOWN], I have reached HIGHER HEIGHTS!” Galactic laughs about it. He’s so nonchalant that Dossenius realizes he overreacted again.

“And we’ll reach higher once we’re out of here.” You add.

“Can we just jump out of here with his help?” Dossenius has the dumbest idea in the world. Might work though.

“[Apologies], I don’t believe your CARBON BODIES can withstand the [LANDING PROTOCOL].” Galactic shakes his helmet. “I CANNOT soften the FALL.”

“Figures.” Spooky wanted to try it.

“Quiet down, everyone. I heard someone below us.” Lady Steen pleads for silence.

Down below, you hear some voices. You peek down with your invisibility on your upper body. There’s a balcony around Floor B, you assume. Your knowledge is on fire, so it’s a good bet! You see the priestess who sanctioned your marriage with Wilma, and the former dictator and soon-to-be corpse, Gordon Senior, down below.

“What was that *thing* soaring the skies?” The Priestess sounds confused.

“hmm…don’t pay any mind...mmm... to flies…” The heartless husk retorts. “You… hmmm… get distracted… easily.”

“Your flimsy empire fell into ashes and you *still* can’t bring yourself to listen to the wiser people surrounding you, you stubborn old man?” The Priestess enjoys mocking him. “If anything, you should lend your ear out of gratitude. I brought your little experiment back safely.”

“I am… hmm… That is why… hmm.. mmm… m…. I want you to… witness… my latest one… hmm… my new creation. The first… of many… mmm… yes… my army… will rise again. That is… my… hmm… gift to you. To witness… the new beginning. Once… one of these cretins… m… dares to step out… hm… of this building… it will rise!” Gordon Senior stands up from his wheelchair, up on his trembling arms. Then sits back down. How dramatic.

“I would’ve accepted a bouquet of flowers… of outstanding quality!” The Priestess doesn’t want to watch any of this crap. “That being said! It’s a charming view. Take some pictures of me! Find my best angles, my followers deserve the best from their Arch-Bishop!” The woman throws her phone at the mummy’s lap…

“You… have… hmm… no good angles…” Gordon Senior begins bickering. “I…h..hmm... feel it… They are SUMMONING HIM.

And as he speaks. Down below, from a dark cloud of smoke, a gigantic monster appears…! It's a bipedal fish-like creature with an elephant trunk coming out of its mouth. It’s Icioba-sized! That’s B tier! The monster bashes itself onto the building, making it shake from top to bottom. You can’t tell what happened from this angle up high. Maybe it killed someone?! Who knows!

Also, when did everyone start peeking with you?! Whatever! Those two are way too distracted to notice!

“Ah, a sore sight to the eyes. The church doesn’t approve. You can summon vile monsters now?” The Priestess is utterly disgusted.

“I… hm… am…. using… the imbeciles working here… to… hh… experiment… Gave them… mm… unstable… flames… Enraged these monsters… to the point… hm… m... they take over… their hosts.” Gordon Sr. cackles. “With… my blimps… hm… flying around… I can… hm… do as I please… This is… my kill zone.” Wouldn’t this mean he’s not actually in control of them? It’s just a random entity going mayhem! But it’s a strong one!

“You’re revolting.” The woman grabs the phone from the old fart’s lap and takes him away. “I’ll take your enjoyment of witnessing this nonsense. I’ll slay the beast myself at a later time.”

“N-No… hmm.. d-don’t… you dare… mm….” Gordon Sr. is appalled.

You think this is enough eavesdropping, their conversation is derailing faster than your inner monologues…

With this tidbit of information, you left the rooftops together and reached the entrance hallways of Floor C! All the hallways are empty. There you join forces with Suan De and Mama Bodil, and begin discussing what’s going on and what you’ll do. Better have everyone involved to hash out the plan. Oh, and you introduced everyone too! Gotta have everyone in friendlier terms. Even if there’s a lingering tension between some parts. The two groups witnessed different parts of the events, so together could make a coherent full story.

In short, it was Suan De and Mama Bodil who opened the gates, saw a zombified guard transform into the monster, and closed it — then guards and the prisoners worked together to block it. There’s a window gap you can use to sneak out of here. The guards and prisoners who saw what happened decided to hide on Floor D, block the entrance, and pray. You’re the only people here.

Worth noting is that the monster is not trying to burst in or anything. It smashed itself into the door once when Mama Bodil put a foot out of the door, and that’s it. This place is pretty calm all things considered.

“...There’s no way to go past this thing without distracting it.” Suan De says after the explanations are over.

“Phil Noon, Major Tom, and Slob Dragon. Are you three sure you want to be the distraction?” Lady Steen asks.

“I wouldn’t have suggested it if I wasn’t confident.” Suan De is confident.

“AFFIRMATIVE, I was brought here on a [MISSION].” Galactic poses.

“I actually out-biked a 15-foot tall rampaging monster once, I’m serious!” You have a good track record doing this sort of thing! RIP The amusement park…

“Very well then…” Lady Steen cannot help but be concerned. “Dragon, you said your entity requires a great amount of energy? Allow me to power you up with one lucrative deal.”

“Go ahead. You can trust her.” You tell Slob Dragon to go for it. She nods back and they work on the terms. Meanwhile...

“I’m carrying everyone in my entity’s pouch. I did it before and I, like, have gotten really fast with some practice!” Aurora reassures. The rest of the party nods.

“We need to figure out how we’re going to hold this awful painting, okay?! I don’t want even a scratch on it.” Odetta can’t relax.

You and your allies agree on their individual plans and roles for what’s to come. You, Galactic, and Suan De will distract the so-called Monster in the courtyard. Rora using her big bunny entity is going to carry Odetta, Mama Bodil, Hubbard, Lady Steen, Dossenius, and the painting. Once in safety, Odetta will astral project to grab the monster’s attention to give you a window of opportunity to put yourselves into a safe position — for Lady Steen to launch the fireball for one grand attack.

“We’re ready, right?” You ask for confirmation from everyone.

“Born ready.” Suan De clasps her hands.

“[PREPARED], [WILLING] AND [READY TO LAUNCH]. [HAEIOU!]” Galactic can’t wait to show the world the way of the Space Traveller.

“We’re counting on you.” Dossenius sees no other option, but he doesn’t hate the idea as much as he thought he would.

“Huuh….” Lady Steen’s contractor can’t muster any words. The nerves are getting to him!

“Whatever happens, boy. I’ll pray for your escape.” Hubbard can’t let go of his resentment, but that doesn’t mean he cannot be above it this time around.

“Lord Noon, my expectations are high. Please, you can’t disappoint me.” Lady Steen wants you to survive.

“This goes to all three of you, not just you, Noon. We’ll see you over the gate! I’ll make sure of it.” Odetta grins.

“Make sure you don’t fall short of expectations either.” Suan De retorts.

“P-Phil!” Aurora approaches and kisses you on the cheek! What a morale booster! Lady Steen side-eyes Aurora with absolutely no subtlety. “This is from me, and everyone waiting in the back! ‘Specially Susie!”

“Susie?” You’re confused. Hey, Aurora forgot the codename!

“That’s what they told me to say!” Rora has no idea why, she’s just following orders. “Seriously, good luck.” She grabs your hand.

“You too.” You smirk.

“Phil Noon! Everyone here is throwing Positivity Beams at you! Right, girls?!” Bubbles says with her cheerfulness at maximum!

“Damn right! I love you, Johnny, god damn it!!!” Vera is anxious! But her belief doesn’t waver in the slightest! “I’ll kiss you for real when you return! Even Liu will!”

“D-Don’t know any L-Liu! I-I’m headpho— *hic*” Liu’s beam is just as strong even with the hiccups. “Y-You all have to survive!

“I-I didn’t send you a kiss, t-they’re bullying me! Nggh…” Neko sets the record straight.

“But I did. Good luck, Mr. Noon. You and Gallie can do it.” Misty is there! She sends you her regards as well.

“We know you’ll crush it! I’m waiting for you!!!” Bubbles will never stop believing! “Now, let’s talk up, Honey Bunny! Then Sloppy! Then Major Tom! And maybe Spooky if she lets us!”

“AYEEE!!!” HQ will encourage until they can’t support anymore!

“Nggh…” Susie is embarrassed. Odetta turns off communication like a meanie, forcing Rora to turn it back on for her.

It’s time… for the end of the raid! You and Suan De go through the window first…

The Courtyard is empty until you reach the walls. There’s a designated road made out of rock, accompanied by dirt and grass by its side. It’s so barren that you wonder what the point of this area is. The beast is resting at the very center of this oval-shaped area. Upon your entry, the beast awakens.

“GYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA~!” The Beast screeches as it begins to move.

At considerable speed for something this size, the monster launches into a body slam, hands and legs spread like a frog. You and Suan De jump off the window and split ways to dodge it. The beast slams against the tower’s wall without causing damage but lifting a dirt cloud from the impact. Now, it turns around and hesitates. He doesn’t know which one of you to target. You two decide to heighten the distance and let it figure out what it should do on its own.

Then, with his back against the wall, the monster is pushed forward by a stomping Galactic Calamity — who used its back to launch himself into an acrobatic jump. He lands in front like a master gymnastics! Momentarily making it lose its balance isn’t enough to stagger the monster for long, it clasps its hand onto Galactic like swatting a fly with both hands. Yet, a moment before connecting, the Spaceman jumps with gravity reduced and seemingly floats away until his eventual landing farther away. He’s baiting it to follow him, and the simple-minded creature does!

With enough space between the beast and the wall. Honey Bunny and the others sneak through the window hole, then all mount the Monster Bunny’s pouch to hop away towards the Guard Booth where the entrance door is.

The Elephant Trunk demon continues its chase for Galactic! The Spaceman relaunches himself into the air and lands right behind you. Once he does, with the monster face to face — you do your flash bomb move to blind it momentarily. As it reacts in pain, Suan De sweeps its legs with her titanic entity’s arm, dropping the monster on its back.

The Beast screeches once more! Neither Galactic’s stomp nor Suan De’s sweeping appears to have done any sort of damage, it only caused its ire! Now it stands using its four limbs, midsection up in the air — trunk standing proud like a volcano. From it, it starts launching balls of mucus twice as big as a person! They fall like meteorites, and are seemingly random — but aiming at your general direction. Meaning the others should be safe!

And speaking of safety, they should reach the Guard Booth any second now...

But the mucus… it looks disgusting…

Honestly I want to destroy this thing and take the poor host away. We shouldn't let Gordon Sr keep this as a test subject and develop it further. If he truly could develop an army of these we'd have problems.

The sensible move is to keep dodging and distracting. You three have all the monster’s attention — it’ll ensure the others will arrive safely at the entrance and make their escape. A disgusting mucus rain isn’t going to slow you down now.

With Philonune out, you make him twirl his spear rapidly above your head to block any projectile. like the most dangerous parasol in the world. Instead of following your lead and doing the same, your allies decide they will find refuge under Philonune’s umbrella of doom. Now the monster has one target to focus on and the bombing commences. You’re running together, almost pushed forward by the other two, questioning if this is a good strategy at all!

“W-Why are we running together?” You ask out loud. Your knowledge can’t fathom a good reason.

“We have to look more enticing, or it will lose interest.” Suan De calmly explains.

“Like DANGLING a [CARROT] in front of a [WISE RABBIT]!” Galactic agrees! You get the logic, but...

“And you guys need to carry me?” You aren’t even running at this point.

“To help you focus on the blocking.” Suan De finds it obvious.

“Oh yeah, makes sense to me! Let’s go!” You forgot you’re surrounded by reliable allies and none of you three are reckless idiots!

After circling the beast twice, the immediate surrounding area around it is covered in goo. Galactic picks you both up, and skips over the puddle of muck like it’s a rainy day. Annoyed, the Trunk Mouth Monstrosity stops his rampage, spins around to be on all fours with its waist facing down — and begins crawling towards you with spider-like movement. Creeping at considerable speed, but struggling to go across its own filth. It’s quite slippery. But it’s swinging its elephant trunk, and it has quite the reach!

The others have gone across the courtyard, through the gate, and are out of these long walls. They left the pathway open for you three! The counterattack is coming! Spooky’s astral projection is fast approaching! She’s going to try to distract the beast, but you don’t think that it is going to care about cute girls as much as you do!

Lady Steen is preparing his human fireball machine to launch one more attack…

What do you do?! [SP:23]

You channel more of your inner strength than usual to make this work…

“Everyone, duck!” From having Philonune blocking above, to using him to push you and your allies to the side. You clear the way for the upcoming bomb.

The monster doesn’t relent, he’s going to change courses to follow your trail, but a distraction appears right in front of his eyes.

“Hey, ugly motherfucker! Do you like bathing in your piss?! I bet you’re used to it! Disgusting pig fucker!” Odetta is floating in front of the monster, shaking her booty and showing her tongue. The beast tries to slam the ghost girl with its titanic elephant trunk — but it goes through her! “How did you miss?! You’re so fuckin’ shit at this! Are you going to shit yourself again?! Ready to shit and puke? Will the baby throw another tantrum!?”

“GYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!” The monster tries to clasp the mean ghost between its hands, but it doesn’t work. It’s like watching the world's most disgusting cat play with a savage laser.

At the same time this idiocy is going and as you divert ways, the real counterattack begins.

“Contract has been cast.” Lady Meredith Steen snaps her fingers with one hand and raises her contractor with the other. Life returns to the poor exhausted man…

“The name’s Borja! I don’t know what’s goin’ on, but that thing is going to feel the heat!” The half-dead business partner raises his arms like he’s carrying an invisible gun, and keeps a steady aim.

Fire!” Commander Steen gives the signal.

Soon-to-be deadman Borja launches a fireball the size of a car, it goes through a grinning Odetta, and lands directly into the beast’s face! The monster flies off like someone thrown out of a car and crashes against the prison’s wall… it twitches as it lies down, not much movement after.

“H-Holy shit…” You don’t have the words. You’re surprised it didn’t fry the beast.

“A [SUPERNOVA] IMPLOSION!” Galactic loved it!

“Uh…” Borja is dead again.

“Well done.” Lady Steen drags him back out.

“Let’s get out of here too!” Suan De pushes you two forward into the guard booth…

And that’s how you successfully left the prison. All that’s left to do is cross the large bridge back to the mainland. After shutting the door together, you reunite the entire group you worked alongside during this section. A deep sense of relief is felt through everyone, but before you can properly celebrate. You need to get out of here!

“You’ve done it!!! Hahahahaha!!!” Mama Bodil claps enthusiastically. All you can do is smile back.

“We did it… right? That thing is, like, dead, right?!” Aurora’s eyes are filled with hope.

“GYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH~!!!” The Beast screeches from within! It’ll never die that easily! You say easily like it didn’t receive a missile to its face.

“O-Okay, I’ll shut the fuck up. Let’s get out of here!” Rora invites everyone to her bunny kangaroo! The first time, you’ll ride it! It’s… bigger than you thought, everyone fits in here with no major issues. A little tight, but you’re riding with good company!

As the bunny hopping continues across the bridge, Lady Steen mentions she has a speedboat prepared, but she’ll leave it there for her other ally. Before someone could reply to have a pleasant chat. A meteor of goo lands in front of you all.

“The monster hasn’t given up yet. We must haste.” Dossenius states the obvious!

“GYAAA~!!!” The monster is climbing the fortress’ walls just to position himself better to launch its bullets.

“Oh my god, it’s actually going to keep shitting all over us…” Spooky returned to her body.

“It has more range than we thought.” Lady Steen laments. Hubbard is praying.

“Honey Bunny! You have to dodge it all!” You tell Aurora!

“HUH?! I DO?!” Rora isn’t that prepared for this responsibility!

“Don’t falter!” Suan De doesn’t believe she can do much at this point.

“Your magic works by emboldening the spirit, right?! Girl, you got this! Do it, do it, do it!” Mama Bodil pats Rora’s back!

“LOOK AHEAD, [HONEY BUNNY]! I WILL PROTECT THE [REAR]!” Galactic climbs to the back of the bouncing bunny to be better positioned to protect everyone! “[NOON], ignite her [HEART]!”

But you know her well, you know she can do this! She just needs the perfect amount of encouragement!

What do you do?! [SP:8]

>Tell Rora that she’s super cute! That will cheer her up!
>Tell Rora that you’ll owe her a kiss if she gets you out of here!
>Tell Rora that you believe in her with all your heart! That should encourage her a lot!

You need to pick the perfect words for Rora! She’s a complex and intelligent gal who cannot be easily humored! But you know her well, you know what she likes, you know what she wants! And at this moment, you can feel it in your bones: she wants you to kiss her back! And obviously, telling her how important and capable she is!

“I know you know how to talk to a lady, kid! Now do it!” Mama Bodil encourages you with a big slap on the back. Kinda hurts, maybe you’re tired.

“Rora, look at me.” You say this despite Galactic telling her to look forward.

“I’m looking.” Rora changes her tune immediately to check you out. Lady Steen coughs.

“Hurry the hell up!” Odetta is gonna lose her mind.

“Rora, I believe in you with all my heart! You can do this!” You cheer her on like you have never cheered someone on before except for multiple exceptions! You know too many great girls, and Rora is among the very best! Not, like, they’re competing, that’d be mean of you. They’re all equals in your estimates!

Johnny...” Aurora mutters so softly; everyone who is paying attention struggles to hear her. The sound of her beating heart drowns her words!

No, it’s not her beating heart, that’d be too concerning! It’s something different! You can tell by looking in her eyes that Honey Bunny has learned a new ability! Her unnamed entity’s! A magical wand appears in her hands, and she holds it close to her chest. Her gaze is still on you, peepers are shining. The bunny kangaroo gains speed like it was charged up! But you can do even better!

“If you get us out of here, I’ll owe you a kiss.” You wink as a final touch.

Honey Bunny’s face turns red, but her conviction doesn’t waver, confidence raises up instead! She nods with a cheeky smile all over her face, turns to the road with her wand raised above everyone’s head — and launches a bubble beam that hits the pavement, cleaning up the mucus and goop! Now the street on the bridge looks brand new! And no matter what dirties it up, Honey Bunny’s power tidies it up! But that’s not all, the bunny is dodging with ease all projectiles. Even before hitting the floor, the monster can’t hit you! The threat of the monster’s disgusting attack loses all steam!

These slick moves encourage everyone in the pouch to cheer Aurora on! And with that, she and her powers continue to overperform! And the confidence in this gal rises to unseen limits! It’s beautiful! You’re leaving unscathed! You always knew that Aurora had this in her, you’re so proud to see her perform like this!

“Praise this bunny! We’re bouncing the hell out of here!” Odetta feels cheerful for the first time in a while.

“A proper display at long last. I knew you had it in you.” Lady Steen smiles.

Rora doesn’t look focused on the road, but the cheers! They embolden her!

“I knew we’d be fine.” You say with certainty.

“We still have problems...!” Dossenius can’t help himself but bring bad news.

“T-T-The monster has gone over the wall!” Hubbard is terrified.

“He’ll chase us forever!” Dossenius is fearing the worst.

“It’s fast. Faster than us even.” Ms. Steen didn’t want to say it, but there’s no way around it. “Or Not. At least, it could match us eventually. As long as we don’t run out of stamina.”

“Didn’t we explode its face? This is bullshit! Should be fuckin’ dead by now!” Odetta complains.

“Now is not the time to throw in the towel! C’mon, sweetheart, you wanna get that kiss or not?!” Mama Bodil knows the assignment! Rora is not faltering, she’s going to get you all out!

Galactic and Suan De are ready to jump off if the monster is close enough. You should be thinking about doing the same. But then…

“Phil Noon! Help is coming!” Bubbles brings you the news of the century!

And as she says, in the horizon….

Deeper into the bridge’s road…

The most underrated Agent in this operation seizes the moment! Agent Beef is running at max speed!

“It’s Agent Beef!!!” Rora shouts full of hope!

“[Headquarters] says it’s our [REINFORCEMENTS]! VICTORY is SECURED!” Galactic laughs!

“The Buffalo?! What’s the buffalo gonna do?! Unless he’s bringing a rocket launcher we’re still in trouble!” Odetta asks the most rational question.

“A flame enthusiast with a buffalo ability? What a rare sight.” Lady Steen doesn’t quite get it but she’s hopeful!

“I-I see it, t-the beast might enjoy this feast and slow down…! Well thought out plan, everyone!” Hubbard sees a plan. Not *the* plan, but *a* plan.

“We’re not sacrificing the damn buffalo, you deranged coot.” Suan De is pissed at the idea.

“We would’ve started with you if that was the case, you mongrel! Best use we can get out of you!” Odetta adds. “Hold on, should we kick him out?” This meanie is seriously considering it.

“For what? It’ll spit him out in a second, old meat takes like rubber!” Mama Bodil is practical.

“We should focus on the fact that people are riding him.” Lady Steen notices.

You noticed it as well! A bunch of familiar faces are on it, and their message is being relayed by HQ through your speaker!

“You didn’t think we’d let you have all the fun, did you, Knockout?!” Crossbill is riding the buffalo with two other people.

“It isn’t a show of mine if it doesn’t have a chaotic surprise at the end!” The Markgician is the one leading Agent Beef forward. “And what better than a special guest?!”

“It’s an absolute delight to be the one to bring you this gift! From the rest of the prisoners and I, I come to offer…” It’s Solomon! The Mysterious Strangelove! He’s riding behind Crossbill and Agent Mage! “...A classic weapon of mass destruction.” He brings out a Rocket Launcher.

“Mooooo!!!” Agent Beef stops dead in his tracks.

Shoot!” Crossbill gives the order better than Lady Steen did!

A missile pierces through the sky leaving a trail of smoke until it directly hits the monster in the same spot the fireball did! Should be twice as effective!

“GYYYYyyyaaa…” The Monster screeches one last time as the impact causes it to stagger and fall into the sea under the bridge… it sinks… and sinks… and doesn’t resurface...

Whatever happened to it, it’s gone for good — and the Chase is Over. You’re free! You did it!

That’s all we have for this thread. Thanks for playing, and see you next time!
