With the majority of the Seventh Universe united under the banner of the PTO, Emperor Cooler at its head, the universe has known a time of unrivaled peace. But in the shadows threats have been growing, nursing grudges against the PTO and the Saiyan race in particular. And now those threats are rising, stepping out of the shadows to openly challenge the established order. Seeking nothing short of the destruction of New Salda and the extinction of the entire Saiyan race, can you prevent this outcome? Or will the Saiyan race be reduced to nothing more than memories, their heroes nothing more than ink in the pages of the history books?

You the players will (most often) control Karn; wielder of the mighty Berserker Soul and hope of the entire PTO, not only the Saiyan race. From his lowly beginnings as a Saiyan Brawler with a sub-3000 powerlevel in Age 733, only a few years into his time as a member of the PTO, he has grown in power and skill, overcoming the world-ending threats that have come for the Saiyans to become the strongest Saiyan of his time at AGE 759. From the massive Covenant empire to demonic incursions, mad cultists to vengeful gods, none have been strong or clever enough to put down Karn for good. But will one man's power be enough to protect everyone from the rising threats? Or will death come from those who you least expect it from? Your choices may mean the difference between survival and extinction, so choose carefully.

Previously on Saiyan Conqueror Quest:

After arriving on the newest planet to be added to the PTO, Karn discovered that the massive powerlevel was still allive. However, upon arriving to do battle, discovers that it is a Namekian far from home, calling himself the 'Demon King' as he caused destruction in that world's leader's fortress. However, after stopping him a strange machine appeared, delivering a being from another time. Marron, daughter of Amaya and Krillin, Karn's granddaughter. But following her through the tear was a being wearing Amaya's face, Amaya Black. Who Karn easily bested, nearly killing before they were sucked back to their time. Karn then introduced his granddaughter to Chaya and then Meloka, bringing her to his world to show her around. And as we rejoin Karn, you're finishing up your city tour, stopping outside your own home.

“And this is where I live. Used to be on the other side of the planet, but you already heard why we moved here.” you tell her, reaching out with telekinesis and pressing the button. Causing the ramp to begin descending with a hiss, landing on the sand with a solid thunk. “Ready to come in?”
“Uhh, yeah. Sure.” she replies, you nodding to her and leading her inside. Taking the ramp up, only to see a familiar face standing atop the stairs.
“Ah, Haathe. Perfect, I have someone I'd like you to-” you start, only for her to suddenly transform! With no hesitation she instantly takes on her Berserker power, emerald power exploding as she raises a finger, pointing directly at Marron.

“Thou art not of this time.” she says, bristling with power. “Why does thou soul mirror mine lord?”
“Wh-What?!” Marron exclaims, you hearing her step back in shock. From what she'd told you of her story, she'd encountered one of the many Broly who'd grown up without your guidance, who'd gone more wild and became controlled by the Berserker Soul. And it wasn't a pleasant experience, nearly costing her her life.
“Easy, Haathe. She's family, from another timeline.” you say, raising a hand. Which causes her to hesitate, raising a brow and tilting her head as she turns her focus to you. “She's here for our help.”

“Ah, I see. Forgive me.” she replies, sighing out and powering back down. She then turns back to Marron, kneeling before her. “Forgive mine impertinence.”
“I, uhh, yeah. Sure, not a problem.” Marron says, Haathe rising back up to her feet. A moment of awkward silence hangs in the air before you continue speaking where you'd been interrupted.
“Haathe, this is Marron, my granddaughter. Daughter of Chaya, from another time come to seek our help.” you say, then turn to Marron, gesturing to her. “Marron, this is Haathe. She's the one I told you of before, the one I found in the Abyss.”
“So she really did get your powers. Wow.” Marron replies, sounding shocked. “I didn't think you'd look so... Young.”

But, suddenly, this moment is interrupted by-

“Karn! We gotta problem!” Cui's voice suddenly explodes in your mind, shouting out so loud you wince. “We're under attack!”
“What? How?” you reply, not speaking a word aloud and immediately turning from your ship, storming back down the ramp and raising your right hand to your forehead.
“Some bitch showed up and started blasting, my team's already down. We need-!” he says, before suddenly the connection is lost.
“Cui?! CUI!!” you think back, but get no response. And, without any means of reaching him through Instant Transmission, immediately switch gears, reaching out to Raven. “Raven!”

“Already on it.” she replies, opening a portal directly in front of you. Where you find yourself back near the still-smoking ruins of Marron's machine, watching as what looks to be Amaya Black is firing indiscriminately down into the base you'd just saved earlier from the Namekian Piccolo. Without a second's hesitation you charge through, several voices shouting out behind you. However, the moment you do, the figure turns, revealing that it is in fact NOT Amaya Black, not this time. Instead, while wearing mostly similar clothes, this one's wearing a different face.
“What the-?” you say, sliding to a stop, stunned. The figure's tail flicks once in excitement, her eyes glaring at you with the most unsettling expression you've ever felt directed at you. Wearing your wife's smile but with none of the warmth or love. “You-?!”

“There you are. The Karn of this time.” she says, only for your wife to not hesitate. With a shout Meloka ascends directly into Super Saiyan Blue, stepping between you and the clearly not your wife figure. “Tch. Seems I'll have to clear out some of the rifraff before I get you all to myself.”
“Who the hell are you? And what do you think you're doing?” you say, placing your left hand on Meloka's shoulder, giving her a signal to not immediately fly off the handle and attack. You need to know more.
“Don't worry yourself, you need not know anything more.” the fake Meloka says, grin widening. “Because all of you are about to die.”

“Marron. You and the kids go back.” you say, instincts warning you that this battle is going to be dangerous. “Okira, tell King Vegeta what's going on.”
“Of course.” she replies, you sensing everyone else moving back. Except for Marron, who seems frozen.

“Marron! Move!” you shout, clenching your fists and ascending in a burst of Berserker God energy. Your aura explodes up around you, power flaring. Yet this 'Meloka Black', or whatever this presumed Zamasu calls itself still doesn't transform. No, instead... As you transform, her eyes focus on you. And, for just a second, you can feel something. You doubt anyone else senses anything, but you can feel, for just an instant, your own Berserker God energy within that body.

It's not just ANY Berserker God power, but YOURS. That energy flaring in that being's body is your own, flaring up for just a split-second in response to your own transformation. Making you realize that, wherever or WHENever this body was taken from, it was the Meloka from the Battle of Conton City after that fight. Which does bring several questions to mind, but all of them pale in comparison to the surging anger. How DARE this bitch take the body of your family!

But what do you do?
>Energy Body, rush and attack with Djem So. Beat this body-stealer to a pulp
>Activate your Energy Body and focus on defending Meloka, let her focus on attack with her energy attacks
>Start firing off your energy attacks in tandem with Meloka, try and destroy this body snatcher before she can get close

See, there's two reasons.
First, it's almost always in a sparring context, meaning we're not going all out and trying to take her head off, which allows her to set up some frankly ridiculous shit. In a real fight, it's questionable as to whether or not she'd have the time to pull off any big plays like that.
Second, she's almost NEVER held back against Karn because she thinks she can take whatever she can dish out. She's not entirely wrong, but if Karn is caught off-guard...accidents will happen.

“Go!” you shout, exploding off the ground up at the imposter, Meloka hot on your tail. To which the fake Meloka's smirk widens, not even bothering to take her fighting stance. But instead simply spreads her arms wide, as if inviting you to attack before ascending in a flash. Taking on the same form as Kars, the Rosé form as he'd called it. Her power skyrockets, turning even more divine as it shifts from dark to a bright pink. “HRRRAAAAA!!”
“Yes, that's it, give me all you can bri-!” she starts, before you swing. Not with a single overhand right, but by unleashing your new fighting technique. You feel your power surge, unleashing all of your burning anger. Your limbs become a blur, firing off attacks faster than this Meloka can even react, you seeing only her eyes widen in shock before over a dozen blows land near-simultaneously. Fist fly, knees strike and elbows rock her, your sudden onslaught ragdolling the woman wearing your wife's face. But you don't just use the technique for an instant, no. This creature DARED to take the body of your Meloka from another time, no doubt killing her as well. And you're going to make this bitch PAY! “Guh-?!”

“HRRRAAAAAAA!!” you roar, fully giving in to your anger, feeding your wrath into the Juyo technique. Allowing your body to become a conduit for your anger, a channel through which you wreak havoc upon this monster. For a solid three or four seconds your body is too fast for her to react to, landing dozens of scores of heavy blows that would have put anyone else down for the count. “HAAAAAAAAAAA!!”

However, suddenly, she makes direct eye contact as you unleash your attack, that same confident smirk returning. Immediately your every instinct warns you to get back, to get away, that you're in terrible, immediate danger. But before you can move yourself, your wife shouts at you.

“MOVE!” she bellows, hitting you under your left arm in the ribs, sending you flying off to your right. As she does, you see the other Meloka raising her right hand with a blazing Ki Blade active, your wife blocking it with her crossed azure blades. Twisting with the swing, sliding up the blade then spinning off, firing a right backhanded slash at the other Meloka's head. Who leans back, but you see the blade graze her cheek. Drawing a thin line of blood, making her own mark as well. Only for the fake Meloka to immediately raise her left and fire an ENORMOUS ball of energy, catching your wife and sending her flying straight up into the air.
“MELOKA!” you shout, only for the pretender to turn her focus back on you. Grinning evilly, she draws her blade to her right side, then begins swinging it back and forth. Firing hundreds of Ki Needles directly at you!

“Tch! BARRIER!” you shout, throwing your arms wide and activating your spherical armor. Only for the storm of needles to pierce directly through it without stopping, more than a dozen striking you in the arms, chest and legs. “Gaaah!?”

And with a flourish, raising the blade overhead and pointing it at you, left hand pointed towards you and left knee raised as all the blades begin to glow then detonate. Everything is consumed by the blast, by fire and pain as everything goes dark. That is, until you suddenly feel the ground beneath your back. Knocking you back to full consciousness, eyes snapping open to see this dark-gi'd Meloka standing over you. Looking almost... Disappointed.

“A pity. I was expecting so much more from you.” she says, transforming her blade into a ball of ki in her right hand, leveling it directly at your head. “Any final words?”
“Die.” YOUR Meloka says, teleporting behind this Meloka Black and driving both blades directly through her spine. One azure blade sprouts out in her neck, just below her chin and the other just below her chest, presumably just under her breastbone. Then with a savage motion tears both blades free in a spray of blood, the imposter sent flying over your head as Meloka kicked off her back to help tear her energy free. Immediately deactivating her weapons your wife kneels down to check on you, but you reach out towards her with your right. Realizing your intentions she takes your hand and forces herself back up, helping haul you back upright as well. “You okay?”

“I'll live.” you reply, strength dropping a little as your blood spatters the ground. None of the Ki Needles had pierced too deep, not causing any serious, life-threatening wounds. But enough to make moving hurt, grunting as you stagger back onto your feet. Only to hear clapping from behind you, Meloka's eyes going wide and your blood running cold. Turning, heart full of dread, you see the other Meloka is not only still standing, facing the two of you. But her injuries are actively regenerating. Her pink aura, sparkling with stars the same as Future Chaya's Apex aura's own is focused around her injuries, quickly healing all the damage your wife's attack did. You realizing immediately that this battle isn't over.

“Well well, I hadn't expected much of you. But this is a surprise.” the other Meloka says, lowering her hands and once more taking her wide-open 'stance'. “I haven't fought you both together in years, this may actually be some fun.”

“Shit, a regenerator.” you think to yourself, then reach out telepathically to your Meloka. “Nice try hun.”
“Well, least now we know.” she answers, but you can feel her doubts as well. This being is clearly beyond anything you've faced before, even at this level you feel she's nearly on par with Future Chaya. Even at full power, the two of you together are still outmatched in terms of raw power. To beat her, you're going to need something more. A plan. And, as you have the thought, you notice the same dark wormhole in the air once more. Seems she somehow reopened that path through time Marron's machine and then Amaya Black used to enter your own timeline. If you can get her back into it, it'll probably take her back to Marron's time.

Well? What do you do?
>Rush and attack with your Djem So while Meloka attacks with Su Ma, keep her pinned down while your telepathically reach out to Chilli and see if he can provide support
>Rush in and use your Juyo again to make another opening for Meloka. If she can take her head off, you MIGHT be able to send it and her body back through the wormhole before she can regenerate it
>Ask Meloka if she's got anything that can take her down, and if she does defend her with your Energy Body while she prepares it
>Dash in and grab Meloka Black, have your Meloka fire a Barrier up around you both as you try to take her down with a Red Dawn
>Draw your Ki Blade and rush with Meloka, double Su Ma and attack her from all sides. Cut her down, force her to keep regenerating and hopefully drain her energy from all the damage
>Ask Meloka if she can hold her off for long enough while you gather your energy for an Event Horizon. Drop two on this Rosé threat if you need to, the planet and it's people can be wished back with the Namekian Dragon Balls, worse-case scenario

“Understood.” your wife replies, Meloka Black smirking at you both.
“Finished making your plan of attack?” she asks, grin widening. “Very well. Come, mortals, and show me the limits of your kind.”

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9qbb5KHYMig

“HRRAAAAAAA!!” you roar, crouching then exploding off the ground directly at Meloka Black. Who, as you approach, this time takes a fighting stance resembling Meloka's own. You close the distance, letting your rage flare as you once more use your Juyo technique. However, this time, you not only unleash the form, but fully release all restraints on your Berserker God power as well. Fully unleashing the power of the Berserker Soul once more. “GWRRRRRAAAAAAAAA!!”
“What?!” Meloka Black exclaims, shocked as you unleash your power once more. Once again she is unable to withstand your onslaught, despite her best attempts takes three to four blows for every one she can block. Her expression of smug confidence disappearing completely, replaced with a grimace of discomfort. “Tch! Grrrr! HRRAAAAAAAA!!”

With a roar she fires off an Explosive Wave, knocking you back off of her. But immediately you close right back in the moment her energy starts to wane, launching right back into your Juyo attack. Letting your lust for battle, your Berserker Soul's rage, and your desire to crush this body snatcher flow through you. Again Meloka Black struggles to keep you off of her, and once more you deliver far more punishment than she can block. As you attack with absolutely every ounce of power you've got, feeling your body using one hundred percent of what it can physically unleash, you also feel your strength waning. Between full power Berserker God and your blood loss, only worsened by your heart rate skyrocketing from this technique, you can't keep this up nearly as long as you practiced. But you're doing it, you're keeping her held down! Just a little more, just a little more!

“That's enough.” Meloka Black then says, Rosé aura blazing as she suddenly catches both your fists in her hands. “You're not bad, but I was expecting a... Well... Challenge. That's too bad. But before you die, I'll show you just how outclassed you really are.”

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qrer4hJYp4U&t=29s

“BEHOLD! True divine justice given form!” she exclaims, Rosé aura blazing. She doesn't let you go, clasping down on your fists and squeezing so tight you feel your joints groaning as her power suddenly soars. Her aura bursts forth, blowing your Berserker aura back completely away from you as she transforms even further. You watch as her eyes shift from flat grey to a more menacing red and black, getting that familiar smirk back on her face and finally letting you go, the sheer density of her power blasting you back from her. Her pink hair begins to expand and grow down her back, Meloka Black lowering her arms down by her sides, palms towards you as her power grows. You've never felt divine power like this, even when Beerus started taking you and Meloka seriously years ago, even HE didn't feel this powerful. You suddenly feel very, very small and out of your depth. “This is the true power of my Rosé form. Is it not beautiful?”

You're unable to act, to do nothing more than stare in shock at her sheer power. This, this is impossible. She was on par with Future Chaya BEFORE, but now? You doubt even her AND Ace could take her down like this. But you have to do this, here and now. No matter what.

“Tch. No choice, you ready partner?” you ask, summoning forth your Stand. Divine Dragon Force appears, not with a triumphant roar of challenge but a low, threatening growl, clearly not confident in victory either.
“Keep her right there, five seconds!” your wife thinks to you. And while you're not sure what she's planning, you put your complete faith in your wife. So, without hesitation you roar, drawing upon everything you've got and explode forward one final time. Right fist drawn back, Berserker God aura blazing wildly as you close in once more.
“Even hopelessly outmatched, you still fight. Subarashii.” this Rosé warrior says, throwing in a word you don't understand as she once again takes that wide-open stance. “Come to me. Come to your death.”

“HRRRAAAAAAA!!” you roar, swinging your right with everything you've got.
“GRRRAAAAAAA!!” Divine Dragon Force bellows, eyes blazing with the power of the Berserker Soul.

But Meloka Black stops you both with only her palm.

“Wh-What?!” you say, completely shocked. Realizing that this won't work, you switch tactics, opening your right and lacing your fingers through her own while swinging with your left, Meloka Black catching that hand as well. “Tch!”
“Well, if you are really just going to deliver yourself to me, then I shan't look this gift horse too deep in the mouth.” she replies, eyes glowing with pinpoints of light. “Farewell, Karn.”

“NOW!” you shout as you condense your ki, forming your most Unmovable Energy Body yet. Condensing down ALL of your ki, locking not only you in place, but by extension Meloka Black. Whose eyes widen, realization dawning just a split-second too late. She forgot to pay attention to what your wife was doing. Right as she's about to turn her head, to presumably fire her attack at your wife instead of you, suddenly, from somewhere off to your left she fires a beam. One that's the tightest, compact spiral of energy you've ever seen, the beam the size of Meloka Black's forearm piercing straight through Meloka Black's aura. Directly into her neck and straight through, tearing her head almost completely off but for a bit of skin on the front. The attack punched straight through the spine, completely taking her out.

“NOW!” you shout, Divine Dragon Force already on the move as the skin tears, the weight of the hair pulling the head down behind her body's back.
“GWROOOOAAAAAR!!” your Stand bellows, snaking from your arm directly towards the exposed wound. Trying to dive into the opening to enter her body and destroy it from the inside out. But just as your Stand is about to, the Rosé aura blazes around the wound, repelling Divine Dragon Force. Forming a barrier even it can't punch through. “GRRRRAAAAAAA!!”

“Forget it, grab the head!” you shout to your Stand as you deactivate your Energy Body, Divine Dragon Force pulling back. Meloka Black's body, despite already attempting to regenerate from the damage finally falls limp. You sling her body up overhead in a circle, whipping and tossing it towards the large wormhole that's already seemingly doubled in size since you'd first noticed it. As you do, Divine Dragon Force goes to grab the head but stops, you looking from the portal down to it. Only to see the oddest thing. The head, severed from the body begins disappearing as if hit with the Destroyer's power of Hakai. Dissolving into motes of light momentarily before vanishing completely, no traces of its energy left behind. The body strikes the wormhole, both vanishing in a flash of light. And, just like that, it's over. Meloka Black is gone.

Well? What now?
>Power down and telepathically call Maza, get him to get the city's response team mobilized out here asap. These people are now PTO citizens as well and need help
>Immediately call Towa and tell her you need her help, that you have a time wormhole that needs shut before anything else comes through
>Call back into the portal for Okira to come help, see if she can undo the damage to this place from both this Meloka Black now, and also the Namekian Piccolo earlier today

Immediately call Towa and tell her you need her help, that you have a time wormhole that needs shut before anything else comes through wins it. Unanimously once more. You guys are surprisingly in sync today, either my options aren't really options or you all just really agree on the course this plays out, writing.
>>
>>6170449
it is kinda weird now that you mention it. Means less timeline splitting, we should keep the ball rolling
>>
>>6170449
I mean, the moment I saw that Meloka Black showed up, I knew we couldn't screw around. I'm just glad everyone else is on the same page of "fuck her shit up immediately". But the fact that she anticipated DDF and even resisted it a little worries me greatly. We need more power, FAST.
>>
>>6170449
I mean, to me it feels like the best call. The sooner we don't have to worry about another bodysnatcher from another timeline (for now), the sooner we can actually unfuck the current mess.
>>
>>6170453
But did she even SEE DDF? Or did she just stop both it and you without effort?
>>
>>6170454
I'm all for wiping Zamasu out over every plane of existence when all is said and done. That little twerp is going to WISH he never had "ningen" in his personal dictionary.
>>6170459
Most likely not, but that doesn't exactly solve the problem...
>>
Hey wait a minute, shouldn't our demon seal have been going off when all these blacks started pouring into our timeline? They're hostile time travelers, aren't they?
>>
>>6170449
We can call backup for the relief efforts AFTER we make sure the body snatcher cant come back.
>>
>>6170472
It has ever since Marron appeared, you couldn't feel it change noticeably with a second being from a different timeline.
>>
>>6170480
and we just...didn't use it?
>>
>>6170485
No one wrote in to activate it. IC you didn't think of it, having it be activate-able for so long, when it mattered you didn't remember it. One of the downsides of Karn's legendary pain tolerance.
>>
>>6170485
Consider the fact that had we popped the Seal, we would have have maybe a few minutes to get shit done before we collapsed. Against a nigh-immortal with power that exceeds Future Chaya's, it could very well have happened had we not rolled double crits.
>>
>>6170488
>>6170490
both fair points. I keep forgetting about that nasty ki drain.
>>
>>6170494
The ki drain is secondary to the fact that wielding the Divine power of the Seal while transformed as a Berserker quite literally threatens to rip our body apart.
>>
>>6170496
I thought the power from the time seal was dark energy or demon Ki not divine.

But while the immediate threat is gone, you know this problem isn't over. Not only is Meloka Black still probably fine, you'd thought it over before after you'd sent Amaya Black back through her own portal. If every Zamasu who snatched a body can come back through the same way Marron did, you need to shut this down immediately. And to do that, you know only one person you can call on.

“Towa, need your help out here. Have a time space hole Zamasu keep coming through, need your help shutting it.” you think to Towa, feeling her surprise through the link.
“You have a WHAT?” she exclaims, you explaining to her what happened earlier as well as what you'd just seen. “On my way, five seconds.”

And with that she ends the link, her worry you felt just before it closed worrying you. Causing you to turn, focusing your attention on the air where the wormhole HAD been.

“Karn? What is it?” your wife calls, flying over to you. Not powering down either, following your lead and staying in her Super Saiyan Blue form. “Everything okay?”
“Towa was worried.” you reply, glancing to your wife. Whose eyes widen, then her brows furrow in understanding. Immediately your wife summons out a couple score of her Warding Eyes, setting them all around the space where the wormhole had been. However, as she does, Marron rushes out towards you both.
“You both were amazing.” she exclaims, sounding shocked. “You beat her so easily!”

“She's not done.” you reply, Marron stopping mid-breath. “She could regenerate from damage. There's no way that killed her. She's simply been forced back to your timeline, where she presumably came from too.”
“Oh...” Marron replies, even her voice deflating as her hope is crushed. But then from the portal back behind you, rushes another familiar power. You and Meloka turn, your own eyes widening as you see Towa rushing towards you three. Already transformed into her Demon Goddess form, dark power blazing up around her.

“Everyone get back. I'll send her back and close this portal.” Towa says, leveling the deity-slaying spear Godsend at Marron. “This won't take long.”

“Hold on, Marron can't go back yet.” you say, putting an arm between your alternate timeline granddaughter and the former Demon Princess. Towa raises a brow at your declaration, but doesn't immediately attack. Clearly waiting for an explanation, which you start to give. Gesturing to her first, explaining Marron and her machine that you point out, then gesture up to the space where the wormhole was, now surrounded by your wife's energy and how not only did Amaya Black follow her through, but now an obscenely powerful Meloka Black has as well.

“Hold on. You're saying she created a wormhole to travel here through? The Time Ring allowed this 'Amaya Black' to follow Marron, as the tear through spacetime was recent. But after that one was sent back, it should have closed. If this other being can FORCE open spacetime, this is serious. I'll have to do far more than close a wormhole.”
“But can you keep them out? Even as obscenely powerful as she was?” you ask, Towa's brow raising further. You explain how strong she felt, matching Future Chaya's Apex form with her Rosé power. And how she further transformed, becoming even stronger than anyone else you've ever fought.
“I'll do what I can.” Towa replies, you nodding as she turns to Meloka. “Clear me a path, but don't drop them. Something that powerful can probably come back through, since I'm guessing you've not managed to kill it. And we'll need every edge we can get to win.”

“Understood.” Meloka answers, moving her orbs out of the way as Towa flies up, sitting on the spear as her hands start weaving complex patterns in the air. While she works, you can feel Marron's questioning gaze.
“That is Towa. She's from another timeline too, much like you. But she has now become a permanent part of this time.” you say, Marron nodding but looking up to Towa, watching in awe as she weaves her magic. You watch as her seal appears, hovering in space shrouded by her dark Demon God energy as Towa sighs, powering back down.
“There. That should hopefully stop them from coming back into this time.” Towa says, turning and looking down to you all. “I can't close an already-closed hole, but I can keep it from being reopened. At least, until you're ready to go after them for a rematch.”

“Thanks Towa.” you answer, Towa smirking as she drops down to you. Floating down directly in front of you, and with a small smirk leans in, wrapping her arms around your neck, kissing you. You can feel Meloka's brow twitching, but as she pulls back with a grin you see Marron's expression of absolute confusion. Looking from her to Towa, you see Towa's amusement at having sown a bit of confusion.
“Later.” she says with a flirty wink, vanishing into thin air. Leaving you to explain things alone.

As Towa vanishes, Marron turns a questioning look to you, but you shake your head.

“Later. We have wounded on the field and soldiers mia. These people need help, and I need to locate Cui's team. We need to move.” you say, expanding your ki sense as you look for the largest energies on this planet as you turn to the portal, which Raven has left open. Immediately you find several of the members of Cui's team, each thousands of thousands of times stronger than the beings of this world, whose average is no larger than single digits. “Let's go people, move.”
“Yes sir!” your youngest four say, all firing off salutes before flying back through, then immediately accelerating as they no longer feel New Salda's gravity. The children all shoot off like rockets, diving down over the ledge to help. Haathe, however nods, turning and running off towards the city at a blinding sprint away from the portal. No doubt to gather others to help as well.

“What should I do?” Marron asks you, looking uncertain. So, you turn to her, placing your hand on her shoulder.
“Do what you think is best to help them.” you say, then take off. Flying not towards the nearest of who you presume to be Cui's squad, but to the one whose power is dropping the fastest. Their power is coming from within the inside of what seems to be the 'main' structure, flying through the opening one of Meloka Black's attacks had made to find a scene of destruction. What was at one point some sort of meeting room is is ruins, a massive crater in the middle of the room with the bottom blown out, the blast having continued further down into the structure before detonating. Inside, in the ruins you see the body of one of Cui's people, the lime green skinned member of Appule's race laying there dead. Several others wearing uniforms you don't recognize are also dead or destroyed, oil and blood mixing in the floor.

Then, near the far wall, leaned against a door you find them. A dark green-skinned reptillian being, armor and helmet on his left side blasted to smithereens, arm and leg damaged too badly for him to move sits there, leaning against the door, presumably the elevator deeper into the building by it's design. As your feet hit the ground he looks up, still swinging his right arm's cannon up towards you. Arm slightly trembling, but his one good yellow eye focuses on you.

“G-General Karn?” he mutters, eye going wide as he then sighs out, letting his arm drop. “I take it. That bitch. Is dead?”
“No, but she's gone for now. Couldn't put her down for good this time.” you reply, rushing over and kneeling by him, pressing your right hand to his injured side. The man winces as you touch him, but then relaxes with a sigh as he feels your ki inundating his form. “What's your name and rank?”

“Blueberry. Cui's second.” he replies, coughing up a bit of blood. “Is he-?”
“Everyone else is still alive and in better shape than you soldier, I'm going after them next.” your reply, gesturing behind you with one hand. “So far only one casualty of ours.”
“Tapua. A good man.” he says, sighing out. “I'll tell his family personally.”
“What happened here? Short version.” you say, Blueberry telling you how he'd been here in a meeting with an old man, the one he presumed leader from how the others all treated him. But he was also presumably a robot like the orange gi'd two and the triclops, they couldn't get any reading whatsoever on any powerlevel when the meeting was interrupted. He and the rest of Cui's team as well as the other robots, aside from the scarred one who had tried to stop the blast and was sent down and down, his status unknown had all tried to engage Meloka Black, only to all be swatted away like flies. As he talks his voice becomes firmer, eye focusing better as his mind starts working more.

“Can you move?” you ask him, Blueberry nodding to you.
“Now I can. At least 'till the blood loss gets me.” he replies, hovering up to stand on his one good leg, still dripping blood. “Cui. He an' the boys, they tried to fight her. But-”
“Good. Head back to where I confronted the Namekian and the OTHER time traveler earlier, there's a portal there back to New Salda. More help should be coming through shortly.” you say, the man nodding and taking off without another word. You sweep the room one more time, not seeing either Marron's could-be father in this time nor the triclops. But as you think of them, you feel another powerlevel dropping and leave the thought alone, raising your right hand to your forehead.

With a thought teleport out of the building, going all the way down into the craterous construction of this fortress, where a familiar figure is left hanging in a crater in the rocky cliff face. Unconscious, but as you fly closer still breathing. If a bit shallowly.

“He's okay.” you think to yourself, reaching out and placing a hand on Cui's bleeding chest, infusing him with your power as well. Causing him to gasp awake after a second, eyes wild and disoriented, flailing weakly against your for a second. But then his brain starts working, he blinks a couple times then finally recognizes you.
“Karn?” he asks, sounding equal parts disbelief and relief. “Is-?”
“One casualty, one wounded and on way to evac, two are more stable than you.” you tell him, giving him his team's status. Something you know you'd want in his condition. “Tapua was kia inside the main building, where you were attacked.”

“I see. Thank you, General. But I have to check on Commander Gero.” Cui says, pulling himself out of the crater. However, you then place your hand on his chest with your right, gesturing with your thumb over your left shoulder to where you sense Maza, Caulifla, and a dozen others approaching the portal.
“First, get yourself patched up. Regroup with your people, get yourselves healed up, then we can make more progress on fixing things here.” you say, only to suddenly feel a wave of something wash over you. Making the hair on the back of your neck stand up, Divine Dragon Force materializing around your right arm. Turning, you watch with shock as the Red Ribbon base, seemingly of its own accord, start to repair itself. The damaged buildings reassemble themselves, as does the damaged rail system, the fires extinquish themselves, and in only moments you see the fortress as it presumably was before the 'demon king' Namekian Piccolo attacked.

“Right. Thank you again, General.” Cui says, but before he can fly off, you sense two beings flying towards you. Cui sees them his eyes widening and slightly watering as he recognizes them as you turn around. “Banan! Sui!”
“Cui! General Karn!” the purple-skinned reptilian one shouts, only to be interuppted by the other.
“Did you do it, General?” he asks, the mustachio'd, blue-skinned alien asks. “Did you take that one bitch down?”

“She got away, but Meloka bled her for it.” you reply, the two sharing a worried glance. Clearly not getting the answer they were hoping for. “Reindevou with the remainder of your squad, Blueberry atop the plateau for aid, then we can further help the people here. They ARE our people now, aren't they?”
“Yes sir, this world is PTO territory. Hell of a start to it though.” Cui says, looking out over the destruction a moment before turning back to you. “Will that crazy powerful bitch return?”

“She will probably try, but I've already taken precautions to prevent this.” you tell him, powering back down with a sigh. Body shrinking back to normal size, you feel a little tired, a little weary from the blood loss, but you're still doing relatively fine. “Should give me time enough to train, to prepare and be ready for the rematch when I go back with my granddaughter into that timeline.”
“Oh, I see.” he responds, meeting your gaze. Then, after a moment smirks, nodding to you. “Well, I'm sure you can take her. After all, this isn't the first time you've had to train to take back someone who attacked us. Show her what happens to someone who fails to take you down the first time, like that Covvie bastard the Arbiter.”

“Hah. Yeah, I'll do that. Now, one last thing before you go: where did the short bald one go?” you ask them, Cui immediately pointing down towards the city. You turn, looking down the direction he points until you think you see a hint of orange. You then turn back, addressing them all. “That will be all. Now go on, all of you. Get healed up.”

Cui and his other two remaining subordinates salute you, which you return. You all lowering your arms together before the three of them fly off. You then turn your attention back to the city, dashing off towards where you'd seen the orange. Flying over, you slow down on the approach, only to see a bit of orange gi has been merged with a light pole. Presumably one 'fixed' by Okira and Imagine Dragon's powers, but that didn't take the torn bit of gi off. Leaving the back logo hanging there, swaying in the breeze. It is a mostly-symmetrical pattern, with a pair of cross'd boxes bisected vertically by a line, the top hooking down to the left and the bottom hook turning up and right at a wider angle. Something about the symbol stops you in your tracks, you can't read it, yet the symbol itself exudes power. But more than any raw strength, it seems to exude a sort of... Longevity. That, no matter what happens, it will endure.

“DAD!!” you hear Marron suddenly shout, looking down from it and seeing your granddaughter a couple dozen yards away, kneeling by someone. Fearing the worst, you rush over, seeing where he'd fallen. Prepared to take her away from the sight, only to see he's... Well, OKAY isn't the right word, but surprisingly talking despite the shape he's in. “Oh gods, y-you're....”
“Hey now, I know this doesn't look good. But I've come back from worse. Believe it or not.” he says, chuckling a bit. Which, for a guy who lost both arms, torso reduced to little more than a spine and several unidentifiable chunks of metal connected by smoldering wires all attached to a relatively undamaged lower body, sounds surprisingly non-phased. “Thanks to being an android, Bulma and Gero'll have be back at one hundred percent in a day or two, tops. Especially since the city's somehow been restored. I take it that was somehow or other your doing?”

“My youngest, Okira. She can fix damage to non-living things with her powers.” you say, the man nodding once. And despite the damage to his head, leaving metal exposed where flesh should have been, you wonder just how much of him is still alive? And, as if sensing your question, he chuckles and speaks up.

“Everything inside the ol' chrome dome's still me. That and some of my organs, if they survived that blast. Thought I could absorb it all, didn't know she could detonate it even AFTER I'd already absorbed it into me.” he says, your eyes going wide in shock. “Heh. Guess you crazy aliens all have terrifying powers, not just you guys.”
“Like Marron, she wasn't from this timeline. But not from hers, either.” you reply, unsure of how much you want to say. But, before you can ponder it further, he speaks up.

“Much as I'd like to talk, I have to get back, quick. I've only got about a minute of emergency power left before everything starts to shut down.” he says, you sensing a deep worry. Leaving you to ponder for an instant if he loses power, how long would his brain last?
“I'll take you.” Marron then says without hesitation, instantly going into a very competent carry, even making sure to support all the things still wired to his spine with her arms too as she holds him. “Just tell me which way to go.”
“Back into HQ, the main building. We need to get to the sub-basement, quick. Bulma's been down there since Piccolo first started attacking, she probably still hasn't left.”

“Bulma....” Marron says, lost in her thoughts a moment. Before you gently tap her on the back, causing her to snap out of it. “R-Right, lead the way!”

Marron takes to the air, you watching as she goes. Flying past the impromptu flagpole flying his symbol once more. And as they go, you wonder just how much that man's been through, to still be smiling after all that? Perhaps you need to find a symbol like that as well, one you can wear proudly as well? But as you watch them go, you take to the air as well, flying back towards the portal. This day's been eventful so far, but something tells you it's far from over. And you need to be ready for whatever comes next, as at this point, it could be anything.

Enjoy this episode so far, and coming face-to-face with possibly the strongest threat of this arc? Do you think you've got what it takes to beat her, or will it take something more? Curious what else is ALSO going on at the same time this is, the events of the other two options you COULD have been a part of instead of this? What urgent news King Vegeta IV got, and how it could affect your world? Perhaps you'll find out when this episode continues just over 24 hours from now at noon EST! See you all then!

True. Man's not a quitter, and braver than most. Even the Saiyans would respect his bravery.
We'll see. After all, where was she as this all went down? She was there as you went through the portal and confronted Meloka Black, but you've not seen what she's been up to since. She was smart enough to not try anything yet, but had Meloka's attack failed, she was on the brink of activating Blue Kaio-Ken.

Well, good news is the only Zamasu left outside the most recent time clusters are already either a member of the Legion or have been executed for failure to comply. Which means there are less Zamasu than the total branches on your timeline already.

“For Ki Needles, these didn't pierce that deep.” Caulifla says to you as she looks you over before doing her healing, checking your injuries more closely than usual. “Seems that something stopped them, or at least slowed them down. Did you have your Energy Body up when they hit?”
“No. Did have my Barrier, but I thought they just cut right through it. Seems the shield helped, at least a little.” you answer, your daughter nodding before quickly muttering a prayer, ringing her chime and unleashing another wave of icy healing magic. It makes you shiver as it engulfs you, your daughter's Darkmoon magic healing you up almost instantaneously. “Thanks kiddo. If we find any more wounded, we'll bring them to you.”

“Of course. But, Dad...” she says, voice trailing off as if uncertain. Stopping you mid-rise, locking eyes with your daughter's own. Seeing the worry and hesitation there.
“What is it?” you ask, seeing her eyes flick up to the large demonic energy sphere, where Towa's almost-X symbol still burns in the air.
“Do you think that that can REALLY keep something as powerful as Chaya described out?” she asks, you feeling her apprehension at staying so near to where a powerful being can presumably come through. So you reach out, placing your hand on your kneeling daughter's shoulder.

“I trust her. If she didn't think it would hold, she'd still be weaving more magic around it.” you reply, your response causing Cauli to sigh in relief. She then stands, taking your hand and helping you up as well. The two of you share a nod, you then looking back out over the base. In the minutes since you'd flown back up, staying back until your daughter dealt with the urgent cases Meloka and Chaya had gathered from the injured civilians from the base below, order had been restored. And, while bustling with activity, there isn't the panic and chaos present of a civilian city. No, this place, these people are military. Not powerful, not in the grand scheme of the universe, but they do have discipline. And as you ponder your next move, suddenly you see a pair of figures fly out of the main building. Both heading directly up to where you all are.

“Wonder who this could be?” you wonder to yourself, preparing yourself mentally to explain what happened once more. But, as the figures draw closer, you notice something. The larger figure is following the smaller, older-looking one. And as both get close, you hear one of Cui's men mutter something about 'Gero'. Which can only mean one thing: the ruler of this world approaches.

Well? How do you want to handle this, GENERAL Karn?

“I'll handle this.” you say, dusting yourself off as the duo approaches.
“Hold on Dad, here.” Caulifla says, pointing a finger at you. Firing her Clothes Beam, she magics up another suit, this one undamaged around you. “There.”
“Thanks kiddo.” you say, Cauli smiling as you both share a nod. You then turn back to the approaching duo, who land a dozen feet from all of you as you take a steadying breath. The pair are quite the duo, one a small, elderly-seeming man with an odd, cylindrical black hat. Paired with his strange manner of dress, the white-haired being with the rather nice mustache carries himself as someone of import. Wordlessly his eyes scan you all, eventually settling on you. But the other is a far more intimidating presence, taller even than you. He probably stands on par with Nappa, just a broad-shouldered as well. Wearing unusual green and black clothes and with a mostly shaved head aside from a red mohawk, this one is clearly a warrior. Both beings have the red double triangles pointing at each other logo with the white “R” on each half, another symbol. One that looks far more military than the other's.

“So. I take it the situation has been resolved?” the shorter being asks, not breaking eye contact.
“Yes. Wherever they're from, they've been sent back. And the tear through spacetime that allowed her to invade your planet has been sealed. General Karn.” you say, holding out your right hand to him.
“Doctor Gero.” the much shorter, elderly man says, taking your hand in his own. As he does, for a split-second you also see the energy absorbers in his hands too, the same ones in those other two androids. Seems this one isn't entirely human either, just like the massive one behind him. “I must say, your response time is impressive. I had my doubts, General, about placing the care of my world under your emperor. I had expected attacks from their enemies, although not this... Immediately.”

“Sorry for the trouble, but that one's not one of the empire's enemies. That one was looking for me personally.” you reply, the old man's eyes narrowing in suspicion. “That one isn't even from this timeline.”
“What do you mean, this timeline?” Dr. Gero asks pointedly. But, before you can speak up, Okira does.
“How familiar you are with the concept of time travel, doctor?” she asks, you both turning to see Okira laying down, her voice tired. No doubt wiped out from the exertion of fixing all the damage the now two attacks on this place have caused. But also sounding almost eager to speak with this man.

For a few moments the two trade around words and phrases that you've never even heard of before, things that almost sound like words you know. And while you have no idea what they're talking about, you know Okira's well-read enough thanks to her extensive education to be able to better-relate to other highly-educated beings.

“Good enough. It has been proven that our universe at large, and presumably the other eleven as well all operate on the multiverse theory. That vessel there allowed Marron earlier to slip from her own timeline into our own, albeit accidentally. Seems her timeline is on a more distant branch, and the damage from the vessel caused it to end up here instead of its intended destination. But its passage caused a tear through spacetime, one those others were able to 'follow through'. Thankfully it has been magically sealed, preventing further access.”
“I see. You would not take offense, were I to take... Additional precautions? Construct a barrier around this place, construct additional defenses to keep others out to prevent tampering?” he asks, turning back to you. “Last thing either of us want, it seems, is another 'visitor' showing up to cause more problems.”

“That sounds like an excellent idea. Anything to slow them down and give everyone more time to react would be great.” you tell him, then in a more caring tone add. “What's the damage? Your people make it out okay?”
“Minimal casualties. Unfortunately, most of the casualties were the teams trying to assess and repair the damage Piccolo caused.” he says, then his tone shifts as well. “How did you do that? It was as if the two battles never happened, all the damage was undone. Except for the people, but it seems you have even that under control as well somehow. What sort of technology do you have access to to be able to do such things?”

Well? How do you answer him?

>Tell him that it was thanks to Okira and Cauli, introduce your daughters, but leave it up to them to explain their powers or not

“Not technology, at least this time. People. Doctor, I'd like you to meet two of my daughters. Okira, who you've already been speaking with. And Caulifla.” you say, gesturing to each of your children in turn. “They were the ones to repair the damage and help as many people as we could here.”
“Doctor.” Okira nods, Gero nodding back to her, then he turns his focus on Caulifla. Looking up and up her, getting to her face.
“Hello, Doctor. Yes, I'm Caulifla. The one responsible for healing your people.” she says, and surprisingly giving him a proper Saiyan salute. “I'm sorry for the loss of those I couldn't save.”

“Do not be sorry, girl. You saved dozens of lives, just that I personally witnessed. The Red Ribbon Army is in your debt.” he tells her, then turns back to Okira who is still laying on the ground, resting propped up against something you can't quite make out. “And yours as well, presuming you are the one who saved us millions in repairs?”
“We're the ones who fixed it.” she says, raising a hand and gesturing to her Stand, Imagine Dragon. Who nods its head, but Gero simply blinks once. Clearly not seeing it, your daughter understanding just a moment. “My Stand and I. It exists on a specific frequency only certain beings can see.”

“Scanning...” Gero says, you hearing something whrring and clicking beneath his large cylindrical hat, pale blue eyes shifting colors for a few seconds. “What's this? A dragon?”
“You can see me?” Imagine Dragon asks, sounding shocked. Okira also looks shocked, but from Gero's lack of reaction seems he still can't HEAR it. But the fact he can see it is still incredible. “Impressive. Tell him that's impressive.”
“Imagine Dragons says that if you can now see him, that's impressive.” your youngest says, Gero blinking again. Eyes returning to their normal pale, icy blue.

“If beings can physically exist on this spectrum, I shill have to update my security.” Gero says simply, then nods to her. “Thank you both for your efforts as well, the Red Ribbon Army thanks you.”
“You're welcome.” Okira replies, nodding. But then her eyes widen, reaching into her right glove. Pulling out a small capsule, holding it in the palm of her left hand. “Just a moment. You ready?”
“Ready.” replies Imagine Dragon, then as one they speak.

THE ONE CAPSULE IN OKIRA'S LEFT HAND BECOMES TWO.” they say in perfect sync, the capsule splitting into a pair.
“WHAT?!” Gero exclaims in shock, taking a surprised step back as Okira then returns the one back into her sleeve, yawning before pushing herself up to her feet. “Duplication?”

“Small gift from us.” she says, holding out the capsule to him. “It's an emergency healing capsule. Not sure if it'll work on non, you know, robot people, but it will help people in an emergency. Rapidly-accelerated healing. Can't quite regrow limbs, but can stave off death from all but the worst injuries. Should help your people in the future.”
“And you are just giving this to me?” Doctor Gero asks, looking shocked from the outstretched hand to your youngest daughter's face. “Are you sure? Is she authorized to spread secrets like this?”

“Of course. We just started mass-producing these recently.” you say, stepping back into the conversation. “If you're at the level you can augment living beings, even to the level Krillin was, I'm sure you will be able to further increase production. Who knows, your world could become a producer of more supplies in the future.”
“I see. Very well, General Karn. I understand the assignment. Thank you, once more for your aid. But for now I must be off, there is much to be done.”

The two of you share a nod of understanding, Gero turning back towards the main building. His large enforcer, silent and staring down at you all follows wordlessly, the two flying away. Leaving you with just one question:

“Alright, now that that's settled, I'm going to go see how Marron and her father are doing.” you say, feeling Chaya's sudden spike in interest. You turn, seeing your daughter looking... Unsettled is the best word for it. “You okay?”
“Mind if I, uhh, tag along?” she asks you, not sounding the usual, confident champion. “I, well, uh...”
“Sure thing, just hold on.” you say, turning to Caulifla. “If anything happens, let me know immediately, okay?”

“Will do.” she replies, you nodding to her then raising your right hand to your forehead. Focusing on Marron's ki, sensing her far below, you teleport directly to her. The world around you both changes, leaving the outside behind and finding yourselves in some sort of laboratory. Marron is with a much, MUCH weaker being, one with blue hair and a white coat similar to the ones Daiko and his boys also wear. Seems white really is a universal color. Several machines with green see-through, fluid-filled containers atop line the area, with a large central computer making the odd beep and whirring noise. But your focus is on the table with the two women, where, to your surprise, he's seemingly already repaired.

“-o us when you did. Any longer and the lack of air and blood could have started causing brain damage.” the blue-haired woman says, attaching arms to the new torso with a pair of clicks. But as she stands back up, she sees you out of the corner of her eye. And without hesitation whirls, drawing and firing some sort of condensed energy weapon directly at your face between the eyes. As she does Marron turns as well, ascending into a Super Saiyan and drawing her blade, only to relax as she recognizes you. Reaching up with your left you stop the short beam on your left hand, the heat uncomfortable for a second but not enough to seriously damage you. You've taken much bigger, hotter blasts of laser weapons fighting the Covenant, you barely feel this one.

“Easy, Bulma, they're with me.” Marron says, the woman not firing again but not lowering her weapon. So, you take this moment to introduce yourself, lowering your hand.
“I am General Karn, of the PTO. The threat has been sent back to its own time, and the pathway sealed behind it this time.” you tell her, the woman sighing out and lowering her weapon. Sounding quite relieved at the news. “Your people are safe.”
“Thank goodness.” she says, returning her weapon to wherever it was stored within her lab coat, then turning her attention back to you. Looking you up and down with an appraising eye, giving you a moment to take her in as well. She seems older, face worn with worry lines and eyes that sparkle with intelligence. But there's something else there, there's more to her than you can see.

“So, you're the big bad alien, huh? Figured you'd look more like the guys Gero was meeting with than us humans.” she says, then notices Chaya too. “Wow, you look like you had it rough up there.”
“Nah, these are all older than today. Had this one when I was still a kid.” Chaya says, gesturing up to the scar over her left eye. The one she'd gotten from that one Covenant Stand-wielder who dared challenge her in her own arena. “So, how is...?”
“Oh, Krillin? Why don't you ask him yourself?” she replies with a grin, turning and pressing a button. Causing the man on the table's eyes to open, not yet moving.

“How long was I down, Bulma?” he asks immediately, not attempting to move.
“Three minutes. Fortunately was able to hot swap your spine and head onto this body, so you should be right as rain.” Bulma says, then gestures offhandedly to Marron. “You have your daughter to thank for that, had you been left in that shape for much longer and you could have started sustaining brain damage.”
“Thanks kiddo, really. You saved my life.” he says, reaching up and placing his hand atop her own. Patting it once gently, smiling up at her before sitting up. “Alright, let's see how this bo-! Woah....!”

As he sits up, you see him make eye contact with your daughter. Freezing in place, eyes widening as his cheeks and even the tips of his ears start to change colors slightly.

“K-Krillin?” Chaya asks, voice a bit hesitant. As she says his name, the man's eyes widen even further, still not even noticing you as his entire attention is held captive by your daughter.
“Someone pinch me, I must be dreaming.” he mutters, before closing his eyes and shaking his head back and forth. But when he opens them again and sees her, he answers. “Y-Yeah, that's me. But who are you?”
“I'm Chaya. Marron's mother.” your daughter says to the shorter man. “I was coming to see for myself who I fell for, in another time.”

“Well, I-I'm not quite the same guy. But whaddya say to giving this version of me a chance?” he asks uncertainly, rubbing the back of his head with his left while holding out his right hand to her. Seems he's already made up his mind on your daughter. But as you turn from him back to Chaya, you wonder how your daughter will respond to him?

And that's it for this weekend, that's the cliffhanger I'm leaving you with this time. Enjoy this episode, and all of its reveals? Did you enjoy getting a small taste of the power gap you will have to find a way to overcome, so you're not running in blind? What do you think of Krillin and Chaya, think anything's going to happen here or will they go their own ways? Ready to take Marron and start her training, or will you prioritize your own? And what do you think Mechikabura's decision will be on your plan, now that he knows what awaits you there? All this and more, next time on Saiyan Conqueror Quest!
>>
>>6171057
I can understand Chaya's trepidation here, the entire situation is awkward to the nth degree. That said, very important question to ask here...
Are Krillin's original testicles still intact?
>>
>>6171057
well, there goes her tournament. well unless she lets him now so he can compete.
>>
>>6171060
Ha. Who knows? We may or may not ever find out.
>>6171061
Why would there go the tournament? She hasn't even set the RULES for the tournament.
>>
>>6171056
>Krillin immediately flirting up our daughter
>In front of us
He has some serious balls. I like him.
>>6171057
>reveals
Glad both doctors are alright and intact. I'm starting to think Yamcha actually died. What I really want to know though is if Earth still has its hyperbolic time chamber and set of dragon balls. But considering how KP took over the world, I'm guessing that the eternal dragon was put to eternal rest, sadly. But god, PLEASE let the HTC be intact.
>Did you enjoy getting a small taste of the power gap you will have to find a way to overcome, so you're not running in blind
We would've been absolutely FUBAR'd had we tried hunting down Amaya Black and ran facefirst into Meloka Black. Thankfully her flexing gives us a good yardstick. We'll make the decapitation stick next time.
>What do you think of Krillin and Chaya, think anything's going to happen here or will they go their own ways?
I shan't speak of it, lest I jinx it.
>Ready to take Marron and start her training, or will you prioritize your own?
This is the motherfucking GAINZ TRAIN, we can ace both. Marron will be a seasoned galaxy-shattering weapon of mass destruction by the time we're finished.
>And what do you think Mechikabura's decision will be on your plan, now that he knows what awaits you there?
I doubt he'll step in the fray proper. Messed up that the multiverse has to deal with a bouquet of Zamasu, though I'm not surprised that they've been ganking U7 timelines exclusively and "mysteriously" avoiding the other universes. Would love to see them getting Jiren'd.
>inb4 are you sure
Zamasu is a pussy in every timeline guaranteed.
>>
>>6171113
Man knows what he wants. And, thanks to the events of this timeline and having no Goku to rely on, he's become far more competent and accomplished in his own right.
We'll see. The blast didn't reach this level, but if he were inside the base his body would have been recovered immediately. And, as we see with Bulma, Yamcha, Tien and Krillin all clearly have spare bodies on standby.
That would require the Lookout to have survived.
Absolutely, and while she's the STRONGEST of the Zamasu, there are more than you've seen. Good luck. May not be YOUR job to take her down, as that's a gap you can't overcome even with 100% of the Berserker Soul's current power at your disposal.
Fair.
Your levels are so far apart, she cannot train with you. Even 5x New Salda's gravity would push her body to its absolute limits.
>Messed up that the multiverse has to deal with a bouquet of Zamasu, though I'm not surprised that they've been ganking U7 timelines exclusively and "mysteriously" avoiding the other universes.
You say that like Meloka Black hasn't been slaughtering the stronger beings. She bested a Destroyer God, after all. And her transformation today was felt throughout the ENTIRE Seventh Universe and even beyond.
Ha! But is Meloka Black? She's strong enough to clutch a 1v1 against a Destroyer and win, not even a direct Hakai can stop her.
>>
>>6171057
>Ready to take Marron and start her training, or will you prioritize your own?

>>6171126
>Your levels are so far apart, she cannot train with you. Even 5x New Salda's gravity would push her body to its absolute limits.

Can probably just pass her off to whichever of our kids is closest to her in power level, let her spar and do weight training with that aunt/uncle for most of her training time each day, and then Karn just spends an hour or so (or just some time during our sessions with all of our other students) teaching her useful techniques or next levels of Saiyan transformations.

Probably better than having Karn stall his own gains to babysit her. Karn needs to push hard for the next while.

Also, my phone keeps autocorrecting to Karen
>>
>>6171133
Thats a good plan. Caulifla's very responsible, but I'm not sure if she has that kind of space in her schedule, so I'm looking towards the older twins for support
>>
>>6171133
It is a way to train her. Each of your children older than Maz and Kayle have more than enough experience to train her.
Ha.
>>6171145
Most of your children her age and up have their own obligations. Chaya, Broly, Chilli, all have lives outside your world. Caulifla is so busy she misses sleep regularly, and the elder twins... You haven't been seeing much of them lately either, for some reason.
>>
Reckon primary responsibility for making sure Maron gets an efficient training period falls with Chaya. Her alt timeline kid, after all. alt timeline mum surpasses alt timeline grandpa on the duty of care scale.
>>
>>6171183
Yeah, we already offered to train her and I don't see a way to reasonably cut through the power gap without cheats. And I don't wanna offload Marron to our kids so the solution I see is sharing the work with Meloka. And HTC.
>>
>>6171183
Speaking of Marron, I can't help but notice she's not on the powerlevel pastebin yet. I'm curious to see exactly where she stacks up to the regular cast in terms of raw power. On that note though;
>Karn is cruising at a cunt hair under 3 billion in base
Very nice, but it's clear that's just not gonna cut it if we're gonna tangle with the queen bitch again. However, I can't think of a way to accelerate Karn's growth.
Per your own statements, Karn's having the best gains of his life right now on top of giving 110% day after day. What more can we possibly do to even the odds?
Sure, there's potentially ludicrous stuff like abusing fusion or wishes, but I can't really see Karn pursuing either of those options if left to his own devices.
The way things are going, we might have to accept going in as the underdog or come up with a strategy that circumvents the power gap and Zamasu's immortality entirely.
Meloka please unlock Bluper Saiyan 3 sooner rather than later I beg you. I don't wanna have to try and blow the bitch up with the Berserker shard she has.
>>
>>6171189
Best we can do for her without compromising our own training (as I see it) would be putting her through the ringer alongside the rest of our regular students. We might also try teaching her some swordsmanship (really just unlearning her bad habits from being self-taught) while we work on our Energy Body. That said, trying to coach her telepathically while tanking hits from the wife might result in another Meloka Moment.
>>
>>6171190
>What more can we possibly do to even the odds?
Have Towa scientifically calculate the best way to put Karn into a coma with near-fatal damage and force feed him BEAAAANNNNSSSS every day.
>>
>>6171193
Bladed Su Ma would blow her mind.
>>6171205
I don't think Zenkai is that potent at our ripe ol' age anymore to be abusing like that.
>>
>>6171210
Okay, three times a day.
>>
>>6171210
>Bladed Su Ma
Ehhhhhhhhhh, those maneuvers might be a little much for her right now. Djem-So's more conventional movements and strategies seem more her speed.
Not to mention that form is Karn's specialty at this point.
>>
>>6171184
A very good point.
>>6171189
You did offer.
>>6171190
>I can't help but notice she's not on the powerlevel pastebin yet
Of course not. Can’t spoil her power before you see it IC.
I’ll put it this way, you’re not going to be on par with her on your own. By the time you would reach where she is now she’ll have conquered ALL the other timelines attached to yours, killing the mortals within them off completely. But you’re missing what you didn’t use before. The equalizer, what has always allowed you to face beings from other timelines on relatively even ground.
>spoiler
She’s nowhere close to that level, and even IF she discovered such a form, her base isn’t nearly high enough for it to work.
>>
>>6171193
She would be impressed by your swordplay and absorb such lessons.
>>6171205
Zenkai would take a lot to close that gap.
>>6171210
What little she saw of Meloka’s bladework against Black impressed her.
>>6171226
Who is to say Karn would be the only one allowed to teach her swording?
>>
>>6171229
>Zenkai would take a lot to close that gap.
Five times a day?
>>
>>6171228
Ok, the big bitch has to be hacking. No way she got that strong from reverse boosting on powerless muggles and fodder. You telling me that the zealot worked even harder than Future Chaya and Ace combined? Fuck outta here.
>>
>>6171312
He zenkai maxxed. Also cheated. Since he kept his gay ass god powers. And despite what we all think of kais, he was de facto the swolest one of the bunch. He's built different amongst the fruity ones and actually knows how to throw hands.
>>
>>6171312
>You telling me that the zealot worked even harder than Future Chaya and Ace combined? Fuck outta here.
Probably not, but iirc Meloka Black has been active for about a century now. A gap forming after that long is a given.

>No way she got that strong from reverse boosting on powerless muggles and fodder.
You're right. First, Zamasu took a POST-ToP, post Baby, and post everything between Meloka's body. Second, she's been farming different Karn and their families for XP. Turns out, to a god, a godkiller's quite a prize.
Not to say she ALSO isn't cheating somehow, and I'll include that regeneration in here too.
>>6171323
True. Zamasu was the strongest Kai, even stronger than Grand Supreme Kai of the 7th who beat Moro all that time ago.
>>6171344
Yes. Time is a huge advantage. But everyone's missing how you can beat her. Reread the fight, and consider what you saw. Overpowering Meloka Black isn't necessary to beating her.

>Yes. Time is a huge advantage. But everyone's missing how you can beat her. Reread the fight, and consider what you saw. Overpowering Meloka Black isn't necessary to beating her.
I haven't really seen anything noteworthy except for this last part:
>“GWROOOOAAAAAR!!” your Stand bellows, snaking from your arm directly towards the exposed wound. Trying to dive into the opening to enter her body and destroy it from the inside out. But just as your Stand is about to, the Rosé aura blazes around the wound, repelling Divine Dragon Force. Forming a barrier even it can't punch through.
>Meloka Black's body, despite already attempting to regenerate from the damage finally falls limp.
>Divine Dragon Force goes to grab the head but stops, you looking from the portal down to it. Only to see the oddest thing. The head, severed from the body begins disappearing as if hit with the Destroyer's power of Hakai. Dissolving into motes of light momentarily before vanishing completely, no traces of its energy left behind.
This raises several questions. It demonstrates that Meloka Black is aware on some level of DDF and its "delete this guy that I don't like" abilities. If she could see it, she would've commented on it, smug brat that she is. Did she copy the Energy Body technique from *a* Karn, or is this the kind of Jiren flexing where you can't get past the aura alone? I didn't see anything indicating condensing, it looked like the opposite.
Also, note how Meloka Black protected her body and not her head, like how Lobo was desperately flinging his head away back when he was being an asshole. Wild guess, but I'm assuming that her regeneration is about Perfect-Cell tier; putting her down for good means complete cellular annihilation, and headshots are NOT a win condition. And the last thing, how her head started disintegrating when it was separated from the body. Was it the unintentional effect of Meloka Black's brand of immortality? Did she do it on purpose? Either answer prevented Divine Dragon Force from making contact. Word of GD states:
>>6171126
>She's strong enough to clutch a 1v1 against a Destroyer and win, not even a direct Hakai can stop her.
There's no details on how THAT happened or which Destroyer jobbed to Meloka Black (prolly Beerus lol), but it implies she either tanked it or was able to subvert the technique.
Anons, what do (You) think?
>>
My assumption on beating Meloka Black is a long running assumption I've had about the Black Arc Zamasus.

The entire reason Goku Black was able to continue to exist, is that his Time Ring protected him from being Retconned, even when Beerus Hakai'd him in the past.

Meloka Blacks head disappearing upon being severed, but her protecting her body, gives this thought more weight.

Meloka Black isn't protecting her body cause shes relying on her Super Shenron Immortality but more then that shes protecting her Time Ring.

I think if we can cut of Meloka Blacks Time Ring hand, and keep it away from her long enough, she might get hit with the Retcon Hammer like she was a DC Character.
>>
>>6171462
yeah, I had the same idea. Better yet, we can use DDF to give her the Lying Eyes Requiem treatment.
>>
>>6171462
>tfw the divorce kills her when she loses the ring
woah that's like the symbolisms, man. Clever, perhaps?
>>
Would supervillain help even up the power imbalance a bit? Meloka Black is from another timeline after all.
>>
I feel like we're hyperfixating on the power gap right now. Must be because of how long it's been since Karn wasn't the biggest and baddest fucker in a situation, but regardless, we have plenty of shit to even the odds I feel.

>tfw never watched super
I forgot thats why Black got yeeted back in time when he first showed up and got stomped. I was guessing that there was some sort of "core" like with Perfect-Cell and his bullshit nucleus that had to be destroyed. I'll take your time ring theory for a sec and paint a picture.
>Meloka Black swipes a Time Ring
>Gets her identity found out in another timeline and thus retroactively Hakai'd
>Time Ring protects her from getting deleted across existence
Or alternatively, since GD said she tanked a "direct" Hakai:
>Meloka Black gets confronted by a Destroyer for EXP farming too hard and fucking over too many timelines
>Gets Hakai'd, but uses the Time Ring to undo her destruction (somehow?)
>Ganks the unidentified Destroyer in the past before getting Hakai'd, contradicting her fate
>Kind of like how DDF made LER unexist via stable time travel and Karn ganks Truth before awakening LER
But just because it unhappened doesn't mean it never existed, and I think divine destruction would stick harder than basic reality warping. Maybe Meloka Black suffers from a Schrödinger's Destruction, and removing the Time Ring would mean directly observing the metaphorical cat inside of the box, and theoretically remove the contradiction Meloka Black. But even if that's not the case, MB should not have the Time Ring if it allows her to rip open holes in time and give our timeline Zamasu AIDS. Now, the million dollar question is how do we play keep away, and for how long? I came up with some answers that I honestly do not like.
>Gamble with DDF to swipe the ring or delete it from existence
>Use Imagine Dragon to remove it
>Just rip the hand off
>Ask the Dragon Balls for help
>Trick MB into taking it off
>Get Ginyu to bodyswap with MB, take it off and far away from the fight, then quickly bodyswap back
Goes unsaid, but it would be ideal if she didn't have any minions with her.
>>6171479
It might, for about 10 seconds. Then we asplode.
>>6171484
Getting a big head in our long and rich career of turbomurdering things that have no right to be turbomurdered was inevitable. We'll have to rub our braincells to make another miracle like THE PLAN for this arc.

>>6171383
I love those goobers. Need to finish watching the series proper, not paying dub terrorists for it.
>>6171386
You physically cannot zenkai to that level.
>>6171416
Yes and no. The "fires" of her aura around damage regenerating seem to act like Jiren's own, but whether that is simply the strength gap or something else is unclear at this time.
>putting her down for good means complete cellular annihilation, and headshots are NOT a win condition
Yes. For you to 'kill' her, she has to go.
>no details on how THAT happened or which Destroyer jobbed to Meloka Black (prolly Beerus lol), but it implies she either tanked it or was able to subvert the technique
No details yet. Perhaps Mechikabura will return with more information when he comes with his decision?
>>6171462
>The entire reason Goku Black was able to continue to exist, is that his Time Ring protected him from being Retconned, even when Beerus Hakai'd him in the past.
Yes, the Time Ring, just like the Time Kai's power protects one from changes to their own past, even Hakai. Which completely erases the target, reduced to nothing. Can even erase the soul, leaves NOTHING of the victim behind.
>I think if we can cut of Meloka Blacks Time Ring hand, and keep it away from her long enough, she might get hit with the Retcon Hammer like she was a DC Character.
A good theory. But she would begin almost immediately regenerating from that hand that was severed in this scenario. If you wish to do this, you HAVE to get AND KEEP the ring away from her long enough.
>>6171479
Absolutely. You've grown accustomed to not relying on it, since gaining Berserker God. But that power is designed to 'even the odds' as it were.
>>6171484
Yes. While ever since BoG, Karn has been one of the strongest players in the game, he's still used to fighting from a power deficit. Perhaps he just needs reminded of that?
>>
>>6171504
Who said the two are mutually exclusive events? She's had a long career, after all. And I wouldn't gamble on Ginyu. Karn's ANTI-divine Berserker God power and Divine Dragon Force's God-slaying might combined, which if anyone's forgotten beat the Demon God Dumplin and slayed his mortal form couldn't get through her Rosé power, there's no way Body Change gets through sadly. But bonus points for creative thinking.

>>6171640
One thing I will note is that he's far less content to just sit on his ass compared to most other timelines. Between his respectable 100K powerlevel and taking the lead on a mission like this, he just seems way more motivated.
I can only imagine what caused such a shift in his priorities.
>>
>>6171647
>I can only imagine what caused such a shift in his priorities.
Perhaps having a subordinate rise through the ranks to become Freeza's right hand man before the leadership change had something to do with it?
>>
>>6171898
Well good on him for getting a fire lit under his ass. Living through the Covenant War with an attitude like that only further raises my expectations of his skills as a combatant and a field officer.
>>
>>6171647
As a numberfag, I see that number and think "damn, only 100k?". But I also know that the best kind of comparison is comparing your old self to your new self, and Cui would absolutely eviscerate the old him. If the soldiers had this kind of motivation in most timelines, the Namek Saga Squad would've been ultra fucked a hundred times over.
>>
>>6171988
>As a numberfag, I see that number and think "damn, only 100k?".
I personally like to compare and contrast to known figures from the canon timeline.
On that note, had Cui been this powerful there, he would have been right behind Ginyu in terms of raw strength.
>If the soldiers had this kind of motivation in most timelines, the Namek Saga Squad would've been ultra fucked a hundred times over.
It is funny to think about just how much our allies have blow past themselves in most other timelines. Can you imagine our Raditz being the one visit Earth and pick a fight with Goku? I think the gap in strength would have made Piccolo shit himself.
>>
>>6170621
>Thought I could absorb it all, didn't know she could detonate it even AFTER I'd already absorbed it into me.” he says, your eyes going wide in shock.
I find this to be impressive. Is it okay to assume that Meloka Black has energy manipulation skills comparable to our Meloka? Or is she better or worse?
>>6170641
>Well, good news is the only Zamasu left outside the most recent time clusters are already either a member of the Legion or have been executed for failure to comply. Which means there are less Zamasu than the total branches on your timeline already.
Interesting. I lost track of all the Zamasu that are out there, so I would like to ask what is the status of Zamasu from our Karn’s timeline? Is he still thinking whether he should kill all ningen or is already in Zamasu legion? Is he in some way different from other Zamasu because he is from our timeline?
>>6171126
>You say that like Meloka Black hasn't been slaughtering the stronger beings. She bested a Destroyer God, after all. And her transformation today was felt throughout the ENTIRE Seventh Universe and even beyond.

Yeah he only nearly 5x'd his canon powerlevel from his canon self three years in the future. Remember, canon Namek is December of AGE 762 and we're halfway into AGE 759.
Oh absolutely. Keeping the Saiyans and having them continuously increase in strength did have an "arms race" sort of effect on the entire PTO. Others, not wanting to be left behind and realizing powerlevels are far more mutable, put it far more work. Especially without Freeza simply obliterating most of their enemies' worlds and keeping everyone weak and afraid of him.

AGE 759, PLANET EARTH

“And as you can see, the Hoi-Poi Capsules are the pinnacle of ease of transport on Earth. Haul an entire aircraft fleet right in the palm of your hands.” the blue-haired woman says, holding up the small case lined with capsules.
“And you're saying each one of 'em is a different aircraft?” your second, Blueberry asks in shock. “Incredible. And there's no magic behind this technology whatsoever?”

“That's right! It is all mechanical, a function of the capsule technology my late father engineered. Anything from your phone to a building, a laser-based weapon like the one on your arm or a VTOL aircraft, or even the spherical ships you all flew in on could be contained within Capsules.” she continues in her sales pitch. Clearly enjoying herself and the looks on your men's faces. Especially your own, knowing that you're in charge of your people on this world. “The applications are endless! You can even store food within one, and despite the temperature outside, the items will remain within at whatever temperature they were stored in. Say, you're about to leave for a long spaceflight, you could have home-cooked meals prepared and stored within capsules, even having a supply for every day of a months-long space voyage.”

“I see. This technology is quite sophisticated. Far more advanced than we had expected of a pre-spaceflight civilization.” you retort, bringing a hand to your chin. “There had been reports of such technology before, from the Tuffles, but their process was... unable to be replicated, even with full, unrestricted access to their facilities after the Saiyan-Tuffle War, or what was left of them anyways. The fact this technology thought lost to time has been rediscovered will be quite the discovery. Tell me, what is your planet's capabilities to replicate it? Is this something that can be done at-scale?”
“Of course. May need to modify the process a bit, especially if your constructions use metal alloys or other materials that don't necessarily work with the capsule tech. But I believe that, with the right support it can be scaled up globally.”

“I see. This is quite the unexpected development, but a pleasant one. I'm sure Lord Cooler would see the potential of this technology, and wish to know more.” you answer, pleased with this discovery and how well things are going.

You are Cui, former commanding officer of Freeza Planet 79's outpost and current leader of the strike team designated for the takeover of this backwater world. A planet so far out away from everything that you doubt this mission would have been okayed for another decade or two or for a team as powerful as your own, if that one mysterious powerlevel in the hundreds of millions hadn't been detected. Only for it to mysteriously vanish right before you all deployed. But now that you know who that was, a Namekian calling himself the 'Demon King' before Karn took him off to live with his own people, the real surprises of this world have been revealed. With its technology bolstered to battle a menace that powerful, your interest is in the technology that enabled beings with powerlevels in the single digits to conquer beings on par with Lord Freeza's power. At least before he'd begun training with the Saiyans, anyways.

“Fortunately, large-scale conflicts are now a thing of the past, with the defeat of the last major empire with the strength to oppose us. However, the logistical usefulness of this technology cannot be ignored.” you say, then lean forward, resting your chin on your laced together fingers, elbows on the table as you meet the doctor's gaze. “However, there is one other technology we would be quite interested in that you possess. I saw that energy-absorbing technology firsthand, the one in his hands. I would like to know more.”

Saying this, you gesture to the shorter of the two bald men at the table, the one wearing orange whose name you think starts with a K. Who looks surprised, pointing to himself.

“What, me? You mean the-?” he starts, only for his commanding officer to speak up.
“I take it you mean the devices implanted within some of my warriors.” he says, the other one going silent at this. “Very well. I take it you wish to know how such technology could be implemented into your own warriors, if possible?”
“I must admit, I am curious about the scale such technology could be implemented across the wider Cooler Force. To enable beings like yourselves, beings whose powerlevels, no offense, average in the single digits allowed you to best someone that strong even once is nothing short of miraculous.”

“When you say powerlevel, what exactly are you referencing?” the other bald one, the triclops asks. Which, just like the Namekian, having a Triclops as well on such an isolated world is quite surprising. You'll have to send for a check, to scan the world for other beings previously thought extinct or near to it. “Is this how you measure strength?”

“Yes. To put it simply, the Scouter technology allows us to scan living, non-mechanical beings to gauge their physical power, and rank it numerically. For example, my own powerlevel currently reads at 101,000.” you say, activating your own scouter and reading off your own number. “Whereas your planet was scanned before we departed, and the average powerlevel of living beings on your planet was four. To put that to scale, the General, while an exceptionally powerful warrior even amongst his people, has a power of over a billion. He is a Saiyan, and the average Saiyan powerlevel across their entire population is over nine hundred thousand.”
“N-Nine hundred th-thousand?!” the orange-wearing scarred warrior says, clearly shocked. “And you're saying there's more of them?”

“Yes. The Saiyans, while not the most numerous, with their population only around a quarter million or so now, are the tip of the spear. The PTO's strongest warriors, aside from Lord Cooler and his family.” you tell them, watching their reactions. The three you pin to be warriors all seem shocked, the blue-haired woman clearly confused and the leader, Doctor Gero, still completely unreadable. “So, for you to have a technology that enables even far, and I mean no offense, but lesser beings to battle warriors so much stronger is of special interest to us. We wouldn't want this technology falling into the wrong hands.”
“I see. Well, there is good news and bad news for you. The good news is that such a process cannot be automated, creating an army of warriors like the three I have here cannot be done to scale.” the doctor says, lowering the tension a bit. “However-”

But before he can continue, suddenly a warning klaxon goes off. At the same time, your scouter pings, something has suddenly just appeared. Something powerful, one that raises your reading to its max before simply reading “ERROR”.

“One of yours?” the doctor asks, you shaking your head. Immediately you push yourself up, Gero activating a screen. You all turn, seeing a familiar-seeming figure wearing black hovering near the still-smoking time machine Karn's granddaughter from another time rolled up in. “Another one?”
“Shit, we have to warn-” you start to say, going to push yourself up out of your seat, only for the figure to vanish. Immediately, you suddenly feel a chill crawl down your back, you have a bad feeling about this.
“GET DOWN!!” the orange-wearing scarred man shouts, leaping over the table, over YOU and leaping towards the large window behind you. And then several things happen at once.
“CUI!!” your second Blueberry shouts, leaping over and tackling you out of the way, knocking you to the ground as the blast lands. Directly on the energy-absorbing devices on the scarred man's palms.

However, despite starting to absorb that energy, the blast is simply too massive, too powerful for him to absorb all at once. The force of the blast smashing him down into and then THROUGH the ground, the man shouting as he strains to withstand that level of power.

“YAMCHA!!” the blue-haired woman shouts in concern, but you turn your focus to the figure hovering there. Who, sure enough, looks like the General's wife, Meloka. Except you IMMEDIATELY realize something's wrong. You were her commanding officer for more than a few years on Freeza Planet 79, and this being wearing her face isn't her. She's also clearly crazy, but a different breed of crazy. A far more dangerous crazy.
“This planet is under PTO protection! Who are you, and why are you attacking?” you shout, rising to your feet and drawing the being's attention while giving a subtle hand command to your men. The signal for 'get ready to attack'. “State your name and business!”

“A god does not take orders from a filthy ningen.” the not-Meloka says, looking down at you all with disgust. She then raises her right hand, leveling it at you. “Die for your insolence.”
“CUI!!” Tapua shouts, leaping between you and her hand as suddenly there's a flash of light. As it ends you watch as Tapua's smoking corpse drops, landing on the ground in a heap.
“Tapua?! You'll PAY!!” you shout, raising both hands and gathering your crimson energy between them. “ATTACK! HAAAA! Ha haah ha hah haah ha!”

Firing a barrage of energy shots, your attack landing true your squadmates then blast off past, you ending your barrage as they get close so you don't catch them in the crossfire. But as your attack ends she sweeps a hand to the side, blowing away the smoke as Banan and Sui close in. Only for her to catch Banan's fist with a finger, stopping him in his tracks.

“Wh-What?!” he exclaims, shocked as Sui flies up over him, weapon leveled and overcharged, green energy seeping through the weapon's casing.
“Take THIS!” he shouts, firing the miniaturized Covenant world-glassing laser almost point-blank. But this fake Meloka stops it, firing a pair of beams from her eyes. Stopping the attack until the beam weakens, then firing her energy into his weapon. Causing it to detonate, blasting both him and Banan. Sending the two flying back into the room, crashing into the wall by the elevator you'd taken into the room.

While all this was going on, Doctor Gero and the woman had evacuated into the elevator, the other two guarding it to ensure their escape. And as if seeing this, she smirks, leveling a hand at the doorway. But in that moment, you seize the opening, pointing behind her and shouting:

“General Karn!”

“WHAT?!” she exclaims, whipping her head around where you're pointing, her tone almost too eager. But, in that moment of distraction, the triclops takes the opening.
“KIKOHO!!” he roars, and everything goes white. The next thing you see is the damage to the wall, the massive hole now has four distinct 'edges', marking where a square blast had been fired. But you don't waste time, powering up to one hundred percent and blasting out after her.

“MOVE!!” you shout, all your soldiers following you out. As the strongest you take the lead, seeing the woman looking cross out in the sky. Cracking her neck, as if that massive blinding attack was nothing more than an annoyance. “Take THIS!!”

Again you gather your energy, this time unleashing a single powerful blast. But she casually flicks your strongest attack back, it striking Blueberry and detonating against him. Sending his bleeding, tattered body back into the building, where you hear his body crashing down.

“Damn you!” Kiko-!” the triclops shouts, again gathering his power. But then she's just... Gone. As she vanishes, you hear the man cry out in pain. Turning, feeling far too slow, you see she's shoved a hand straight through his chest. And with a casual motion bisects him, blood and what looks like some sort of vehicle oil spraying out as his two halves fall to the ground.
“I've had enough.” she says, going one after another to each of you, faster than your people and this world's can react, sending you flying one after another until you're the only one left. Then she's suddenly right in front of you, hand around your throat. Cutting off your air, feeling your eyes bulging from the pressure. “And as for you. How dare you get my hopes up?! But, I suppose if I kill enough of you, he'll show himself.”

Then with almost casual disdain palm strikes you in the chest with her other hand, releasing your neck as the blow sends you flying down. Tumbling head over heels, the world a blur until you hit something solid. Feeling it crush behind you, your body embedding in it as your consciousness begins to fade.

“D-Dammit.” you mutter, focusing what's left of your mind and desperately reaching out telepathically to the general. Praying he hears you. “Karn! We gotta problem! We're under attack!”
“What? How?!” comes the immediate reply, relief washing over you as everything goes dark. It's going to be okay, the general is going to save you all. And as you try and explain things, your last thoughts are of the day you'd met the Saiyan. Never in a million years did you imagine he'd one day be the one you'd pray would come and save you.

Classic.
Good to see Cui still knows how to lead from the front despite all the desk-jockeying he's been doing.
>>
>>6173074
He and West City shared the same fate. Why do you think this base is made in a massive crater, and Marron's ship appeared here from leaving her timeline's West City?
Perhaps you'll find out later?
We'll see soon enough.
Cui's men are loyal, would each willingly die for their commander because he treats them so well.
We'll see it he's okay or not soon enough.
Yes. The entire PTO knows that if ANYONE can do it, General Karn can. Hero of the Covenant War, Dragon of New Salda, slayer of demons and breaker of worlds.
>>6173099
He doesn't fight fair, he's there to win. People with power can have honor, the weak(er) do whatever it takes to triumph. And absolutely, he's put his men on a training regiment to keep them sharp, as well as himself.
>>
>>6173125
Ah, yeah. KP really did end up blowing up West City here without a Goku to stop him. RIP Dr. Briefs, and presumably his wife and cat too.
>Cui's men are loyal, would each willingly die for their commander because he treats them so well.
I wonder if that's an effect of our successes and attitude in this timeline too. From what I remember, the canon PTO had more of a "dog eat dog" thing going on, and the guy above you wouldn't care too much for your personal safety at best.
>>
>>6173150
I mean Karn has spent literal decades of effort at this point trying to make the entire damn multiverse a better place. His efforts to generally try to be a decent person has pretty much dragged the PTO kicking and screaming into being better people, even king cold is less of an asshole once he got his revenge on buu.
>>
>>6173150
Yes. With no Goku, King Piccolo reigned over earth basically unopposed for years. Until the dragon team and red ribbon army team up took him down.
That is partially due to Saiyan influence, but not entirely. The big shift was the war, as commanders who took care of their subordinates were taken care of when the fighting kicked off. Meaning the worst offenders didn't make it back home, and everyone else got the memo. Even if they don't LIKE their subordinates, they treated them well out of a sense of self-preservation if nothing else.
>>6173342
Not entirely wrong, Karn's influence is wide-felt. But it was also how Karn impacted FREEZA which made a difference. When random murders of subordinates to 'make an example' when someone completely unrelated fails, turns out your subordinates are far more loyal and do better work. And less likely to do so to THEIR subordinates as well.
>>
>>6173342
Well, "less of an asshole" is the most good you can make the Cold Clan, so I'll take it as a win.
>>6173367
>The big shift was the war, as commanders who took care of their subordinates were taken care of when the fighting kicked off. Meaning the worst offenders didn't make it back home, and everyone else got the memo
Ahhh, good ol' reaping and sowing. The world would be a better place if there were more tangible consequences for treating subordinates like dogshit.
>But it was also how Karn impacted FREEZA which made a difference. When random murders of subordinates to 'make an example' when someone completely unrelated fails, turns out your subordinates are far more loyal and do better work.
Freeza probably realized along the way that he probably sniped very valuable talent in anger when Karn went from some schmuck nobody to one of the biggest dogs in the universe, right? Good on the emperor for not being so wasteful.
>And less likely to do so to THEIR subordinates as well.
Reminds me how Tagoma also turned into a twat due to being freiza's punching bag and spending extended time in his presence in Resurrection F

Heh, you got em Qui, you got em.

24 hours to go until this episode comtinues! I hope everyone's ready.

>>6173620
Reaping and sowing indeed. And yes, seeing Karn's rise and introspecting once Karn was on par with him made him reconsider several of his father's policies. King Cold was afraid of too many powerful beings being drained for Majin Buu's revival, but Freeza wants a stronger empire. One strong enough that he doesn't have to handle its opponents by himself, or just obliterating their planets and killing them in the blasts.
>>6173641

>Meloka Black hadn't found your timeline,
True. You said this before. I should have figure it out before asking that it does not seem to be possible for Zamasu from our Karn’s timeline to be in a legion already. However it may mean that he is still with Gowasu now, maybe deciding what he should do with his life. If he is there he most likely felt the power of Rose 3 perhaps even realizing that it was “other him” causing this. This might be getting very complicated and interesting. I wonder where this will go.
>yet. Somehow...
I don’t have a proof of course, but maybe there is more to it. Mechikabura has Karn’s Time Scroll with himself all the time. Maybe he took additional measures of protection using his magic to make Karn’s timeline hard to find and hard to enter.

Yes. Curious how, all this time despite having a body with some of Karn's Berserker Soul, Meloka Black and her Time Ring couldn't find your timeline.
Cui did his best. And absolutely, that planet would have been torn asunder. You saved that world. But as for the other choices, well... You can't save everyone.
Yes, the new Red Ribbon headquarters is built atop the craterous ruins of West City, the first city to fall to King Piccolo's 'Piccolo Day' celebration.
It's going to be fun. And the Chaya epilogue will also be a good time after.

Previously on Saiyan Conqueror Quest:

After meeting his grandaughter from another timeline Marron, saving her from Amaya Black, then showing her around his city, Karn then received a desperate call from help from Cui. Returning to the planet he'd found Marron on, Karn discovers it under attack by yet another black-wearing being impersonating another of his family, this time Meloka. However, not only was she obscenely powerful and could regenerate from damage, she showed a form far stronger than Future Chaya's Apex might. Barely managing to send her back through the void, Karn and those with him worked to help fix the damage to this world. And now, as we return to Karn, the first meeting between Chaya and Krillin, Marron's parents from her own timeline.

“Well, I-I'm not quite the same guy. But whaddya say to giving this version of me a chance?” he asks uncertainly, rubbing the back of his head with his left while holding out his right hand to Chaya. Seems he's already made up his mind on your daughter. But as you turn from him back to Chaya, you wonder how your daughter will respond? She looks uncertain, hesitant, her own hand half-outstretched. But then you notice her stump of a tail, watching it wag back and forth. Looks like she's going to go for it, even though the silence stretches on. The bald man attempts to smooth over the awkwardness of the quiet moment, pushing himself up off the table and taking her hand in both of his own. “Hey, I know. There's this little hole-in-the-wall place over in Sorth City by Route 66, has some great food, and they have this eating challenge I bet you'd love.”

“Eating challenge?” Chaya asks, her stump of a tail wagging a bit faster at this as she perks up. “What kinda challenge?”
“This steakhouse I know has a 72oz steak challenge: if you can eat the entire thing in an hour by yourself, you get the meal for free.” he says, a bit of a mischevious gleam in his eye. “Whadda ya say? Want to try it, see who can finish theirs first?”
“Smooth.” the blue-haired woman, Bulma says a bit sarcastically, smiling at the pair as Marron looks back and forth. The anticipation clear on her face for this to go well.

“Well, I guess... If you're offering, I guess it would be rude to say no.” your daughter replies, giving him a small smile. “Plus, what kind of champion would I be to turn down a challenge? Let's go.”
“Thanks for everything Bulma. We'll be back.” he says, then notices you standing there again. Suddenly his earlier bravado fades a bit, but he still stands, squaring up a bit to you. “If that's alright with you, sir?”

“Ha. You threaten her with a challenge, it's your ass.” you say jokingly, then to your daughter add in. “We'll be back home, whenever you two're finished.”
“Great. Alright, let's go. Lead the way.” your daughter says to the shorter bald man, the two heading deeper into the facility, no doubt to head directly to that place from here. Leaving you with Marron and the scientist woman Bulma. However, before any of you can speak, suddenly a wall that you hadn't realized was a door opens, the scarred man stepping out with a towel around his neck.

“You were right, the new body fits like a...” he says, stopping and freezing when he sees you and Marron, Krillin and Chaya already out of eyesight from this door. “Uhh, hey. Looks like I missed something.”
“Just missed it, Krillin got himself a date.” the woman says, you seeing the scarred man's mouth drop open in clear shock. Seems he had little faith in his comrade, in that regard. Perhaps there's a reason to this? He looks from her to Marron then to you, recognizing you and his eyes narrow back.

“So, I take it you came back to stop our attacker?” he asks, tone shifting to serious. To which you nod, the man sighing out in relief, walking over and casually smacking you on the back like you'd been friends and allies for years. “Whew, that's a relief! And here I had my doubts as to if you guys were the good guys or not!”
“Oh? And why's that?” you ask him, curious. To which, again to your surprise, he answers without hesitation.
“Come on, when have alien beings suddenly landing on your planet demanding your surrender been a GOOD thing?” he asks, which. To be fair, is a good point. How many planets had you been assigned to simply wipe out all life on, so the buyer could terraform to their heart's content?

“Fair enough.” you reply, Marron turning to Bulma and gently taking both her hands in her own.
“It was great seeing you again, I'll be by later so we can catch up some more.” Marron says, meeting the blue-haired woman's eyes.
“I'll be looking forward to it.” she says, then adds. “Also, I'll bring in what's left of your time machine. No guarantees I'll get it up and running anytime soon, but if another me built it before, I'll be able to figure it out eventually.”

“Thank you.” Marron tells her, the two sharing a knowing look before Marron releases her, turning back to you. “I'm ready.”

Well? What now?

Raven then closes the portal with a wave of her hand as you let go of Marron. You take a step closer, and despite New Salda's Guardian wearing her hood up you reach over, ruffling her hair as well. You manage to get her to crack a smile at this, exhaling through her nose and speaking with good-natured annoyance. “Go on somewhere, I'm trying to concentrate on something here.”

“Alright, we'll leave you be. Let's go, Marron.” you say, lifting up into the air.
“R-Right.” she replies, following you as you take off. Leaving the Guardian's Island behind, heading back over the mainland. Flying across the continent, past the city, the forest, then your city before touching down outside your home. Landing softly on the sand, once more opening your home with a thought and telekinetic press of a button. Causing the loading ramp to descend with a hydraulic hiss, you turning to her. “Why are we going back here?”
“Gotta drop this off.” you say, tugging at the armor's shoulder with your thumb. “Cauli made it, don't want to accidentally destroy it with our training.”

“Oh, okay.” she replies, following you as you go back into your home. Heading back to your room, where you take off the armor. Setting it carefully on the shelf, then turn to your granddaughter.
“Do you want to leave that here?” you ask, Marron looking confused. “I mean your sword you've got there, probably don't want to break it.”
“I, uhh. Well.” she says uncertainly, reaching up and placing her hand around the blade's handle. “I dunno...”

“What's wrong, kiddo?” you ask, seeing the hesitation on her face. “Is there something special with that sword?”
“Well, not really. But it's something I've always kept with me, it's been with me through thick and thin. Even when Android 18 broke it in the other timeline, I still got it fixed just to keep it.”
“I see.” you reply, reaching over and patting her on the left shoulder. “It's okay, you can bring it along. But when we get started, you'll need to take it off. Until we start training your swordsmanship anyways.”

“Thanks.” she replies, keeping her sword on. Having taken your own armor off, rolling your neck, you're ready to start the day's training. But almost immediately you decide that, at least for today, you won't be doing your usual training. Focusing instead on training your granddaughter, making her stronger. But that leaves you with one question:

How do you start her training? Where do you begin with Marron?

“So, what's the plan?” she asks, looking to you. And without hesitation know exactly where you're going to start her training. You need to know what she can do, and there's only one way to do that.
“Come with me, we're going to see what you can do.” you tell her, heading back out of your room. She follows, you leading her back outside then into the air. Flying the short distance to the clearing in the forest, landing in the middle of the clearing. She lands a moment later, looking around where you chose to stop. “Here we are.”
“What's this place?” she asks you, gesturing to the ground. “Why is this place a crater?”

“Today I'm going to put you through your paces.” you tell her, taking your fighting stance. “I want you to come at me with everything you've got.”
“Wh-What?Me? Fight you?” she asks, shocked. “Are you sure?”
“Of course. I have to know exactly how strong you are and what you can do.” you tell her, taking your fighting stance. “Set your sword down over there at the tree line, then come at me with everything you've got!”

“Tch. Hrrrrr-! HAAAAAAA!!” she roars, golden aura exploding up around her as she transforms. Taking on the power of the Super Saiyan, aura blazing up as her power soars. Her strength is impressive, her powerlevel at Super Saiyan is around your base form's own power. Considering how light her planet is and her circumstances, struggling to survive, the fact she managed to reach this power on her own is quite impressive. But she doesn't seem to notice, looking curiously to you. “Wait, aren't you going to transform too?”
“Only if you can push me enough to rise to that level.” you reply, gesturing for her to come at you with your raised left. “Come on, show me what you can do.”

“HAAAAAAAAAAA!!” she roars, exploding off the ground and charging directly at you. Telegraphing her right, you bracing yourself. Expecting some sort of feint or sneaky attack, but no. She bellows and swings her right, you catching it with your left hand. Stopping her charge dead in its tracks, halting her advance. “Tch! Hrrrrr!”

With a growl she opens her fist, grabbing your hand to pull herself in towards you. Swinging her lower body around, firing a left turning kick at head level. Which you stop by bringing your right forearm up, stopping her kick with your arm. But this leaves your side open, Marron grinning as she fires now her right kick at your ribs. But once more you stop her attack, bringing your own right leg up, stopping her kick and blocking her shin with your right knee. Halting her advance completely.

“Keh!” she seethes through clenched teeth, shoving herself off of you. Flipping back, landing on her feet and rushing back in at you once more. This time she comes in low, leading with a rising right uppercut aimed at your chin. Catching her fist with your left, Marron following up with a left. That you see coming, and decide to go after her first. Swinging down with your right, firing a fast jab as she tries to swing. Your strike lands first, knocking her to the ground so hard she bounces, the blow popping her up into the air. As she flips, confused, you reach out, catching her right ankle with your left hand. Then, with a smirk twist and swing her overhead, slamming her to the ground. “Guaaaah!”

“Come on kiddo, you've got to try harder than that.” you tell her, letting her go and leaping back. Retaking your stance as she tries pushing herself upright on shaky arms, struggling. “You finished already?”
“N-No! I'm. Not. DOOOOONE!!” she roars, golden aura blazing as her power explodes. Lighting begins dancing around her aura as your granddaughter ascends, transforming to the next level. Her earlier damage gone, she rises, turning to face you with narrowed, serious eyes. “I'm just getting started!”
“There you go, now THAT's more like it!” you reply, bracing yourself as her transformed power is now much higher. Near double your own, electricity crackling around her. Blurring forward, she closes the distance in a blink, swinging at you with a right overhand. Deflecting it outside your guard with your left forearm, stepping into her attack you follow up with a right uppercut to the guts, halting her charge. “Too slow.”

“KHH!?” she exclaims through clenched teeth, then fires her left at your head. But she telegraphs her blow, giving you enough time to just barely, narrowly ducking under the blow. You feel the wind from her blow ripping past your head, realizing you need more power to keep up. If she hits you with one of those, it's going to hurt.
“New Salda. I need your help.” you think out to the planet, feeling your connection to the planet open once more.
OF COURSE MY CHAMPION.” the planet replies, you feeling power and awareness flooding into your mind, body growing stronger as you nearly close the gap between yourself and your granddaughter instantly. She's still SLIGHTLY stronger, but no longer twice as strong as you are.

“HAAAAAA!!” she shouts, swinging her left knee forward at your face. Flipping back, you dodge the blow, landing on your hands then springing backward back onto your feet a few yards back away from her. “Huh?”
“That's more like it. Come on, show me what you can do!” you reply, gesturing for her to come at you with your left once more. To which she clenches both fists, aura surging as she kicks off the ground at you once more. Launching into a ferocious assault, holding nothing back as she tries to take you down.

However, as she continues her relentless assault, you notice several things as you defend yourself. First, all her attacks are relatively straightforward, not using any sort of mix ups, level changes or feints whatsoever. She has good fundamentals, but she doesn't know how to effectively string attacks together to open her opponent's guard. She can either punch high or start going low, but with all the telegraphing she does, none of her blows ever catch you by surprise. She's got a good base of technique, but what she needs it guidance. To be taught HOW to effectively attack, not only how to attack.

“SHYAAAAAA!!” she roars, firing a right turning kick at your head. Which you dodge by flipping backwards under her blow, landing on your hands and springing back up to your feet a dozen yards away once more. Marron stops her attack, panting and catching her breath from her minute or so of pure offense. Seems her conditioning needs more work as well, for that little bit of fighting to already have her start gassing and trying to recover.

Well? What now?
>Tell her that now it's your turn and to protect herself, see how well she can guard against your attacks

“Heh, not bad so far. But let's see how you handle THIS!” you call, leaping into the air as you gather ki into both hands. You see her eyes widen, realizing what's about to happen as you sling your right hand forward. Firing a Scattershot down, the one orb splitting into hundreds midair as you then launch the second. “Haaaaaa! Hraaaa!!”

The first swarm of blasts strike the ground and Marron as the second Scattershot splits, explosions detonating across the crater. She then launches up into the air out of the explosions, only to see more blasts coming down at her.

“Wh-Wha-?!” she exclaims, crossing her arms and blocking as four blasts hit her, detonating against her as the rest sail down to the ground. More explosions ring out as she powers up, blasting the smoke away to try and find you. But as she'd blocked you, you'd backed up, gathering more energy. “Keh!”
“Come on, you have to get to me through this!” you exclaim, pouring more power into your orb in your right hand, causing the blast to swell to as big around as you are tall. Launching it towards her, Marron making no attempts to dodge. Instead, she catches the blast, your orb sending her straight back down to the ground. “If you can't get through this, how can you beat your foes?”
“Grrrrr! HrrrrrrrrrrRRRAAAAAAAA!!” she roars, power surging as she pushes herself back up. Getting back to her feet, holding your blast overhead. To which you smirk, firing the orb in your left hand down. Your energy slams into your other energy, causing the larger orb to glow brighter for a second, then detonating right in Marron's face.

KABOOM

Marron, consumed by the massive blast disappears completely, vanishing from sight. But thanks to your mental link connecting you to New Salda, you know exactly where she is. So, without waiting for the smoke to clear you fire another Scattershot down. The orb splits into hundreds, carpet bombing the entire area.

“KYAAAAH!!” Marron screams as the blasts send her into the air this time, rag-dolling through the air with no control over her flight. Tumbling through the air without any control, you consider keeping up the pressure. But as she flies, you decide to relent, giving her a few moments to get her bearings. Flipping over and over, she finally stops herself, hanging upside down in the air. Catching her breath, she then turns over, reorienting herself on you. “Tch! That's not-”

“Not what, fair?” you ask her, crossing your arms. “It's a fight, Marron. You're not fighting to fight FAIR, you're fighting to WIN. Your opponents are seeking not only your own death, but the deaths of EVERYONE relying on you. Every. Single. One. If you lose, everyone you know and love will die. Now, fight like you mean it! Fight like the lives of everyone you protect MEAN something! Fight!”

As you shout to her, you watch as your granddaughter's eyes widen. Hopefully with understanding, as you shout for the final time her eyes narrow, nodding shallowly to you once. Then, moving at full speed she raises both hands to her forehead in a move that looks vaguely familiar. But where have you seen that stance befo-?

“SOLAR FLARE!!” she roars, exploding with blinding light. Everything goes white as your vision goes completely away from you. No longer able to see, you hear her rushing towards you. But with your ki sense and enhanced awareness from being connected to New Salda, you easily sense her coming. She thankfully doesn't roar as she charges, knowing well enough to approach silently and try to take advantage of the opening. But as she closes in, once more she opens as she has every time, swinging with a heavy right aimed at your head. And despite not able to see her, you raise your left, again deflecting her strike out over your left shoulder. “Wh-What?!”

“Nice try.” you reply, again stepping into her attack and swinging your head forward. Slamming your forehead into her head, stopping her charge and knocking her back. “But a real warrior doesn't need their eyes to fight.”
“Keeh!!” she exclaims as she reels in pain, you taking advantage of the opening and firing a right uppercut straight up into her guts. The blow lands clean, Marron doubling over in pain as you force all the air from her body. And instead of keeping up the pressure, you back off, giving her a couple moments to recover. You hear her gasping as your vision slowly returns, and by the time you can see she's able to breathe once more, chest heaving as she tries to recover.

“Come on, you're not exhausted already, are you?” you ask her, clenching your fists and making a show of blazing your power. Emerald energy soaring up around you as you retake your fighting stance, condensing your ki around you. Forming your Energy Body once more, ready for whatever she can throw at you. “Give me EVERYTHING you've got!”
“I'm not. Done yet!” she says, clenching her fists and powering up to one hundred percent once again. Her ascended aura blazes, lightning crackling throughout her power as she charges once more. Dashing in, once again with her right arm drawn back, she again opens with a heavy overhand right. But this time, as she approaches you don't react, letting her strike land true. Her fist slams into your armored face, but you barely feel it. Something she notices immediately. “Wh-What?!”

“Come on, was that the hardest you can hit me?” you ask her, lowering your guard. “You can hit harder than that, can't you?”
“Tch! Hrrrr! HAAAAAAAAAA!!” she roars, drawing her right back and swinging with everything she's got. Her right fist slams into you guts, but once more you barely feel her attack. She manages to push you back a foot or so, but other than that her attack doesn't phase you. Seeing this, she clenches her fists, blazing her aura and launching herself forward. Firing a flurry of heavy punches to your chest and head, all of which you can barely feel through the shielding energy. After a few seconds she relents, backing off with wide eyes. “H-H-HOW?!”

“Haven't you figured it out yet?” you ask her, spreading your arms as she backs off, catching her breath. She looks you over a moment, then her eyes widen even further. You seeing understanding dawn in her eyes. She then narrows them, backing further away from you and raising her right hand as her power increases. You watch as she starts pouring energy into something, Marron shaping her energy into a spinning, cutting circular blade. “Oh, so you know this one?”
“I'm going to just throw it in a glancing shot, I don't want to cut you in half on accident.” she replies, sounding a bit nervous. “I just want to see if I CAN get through that armor.”
“Well, you recognized it, so go ahead.” you reply, retaking your fighting stance. “Whenever you're ready.”

“KIENZAN!!” she shouts, throwing the spinning disc towards you. It cuts through the air, moving much faster than you thought it would. It closes the distance faster than any other disc thrown at you, giving you barely an instant to react. Twisting your upper body clockwise and leaning back, the spinning, slashing blade cuts straight through your armor and into your chest, into both pecs and flying past you. Only for her to scream in panic as your blood sprays, you raising a hand towards her. Stopping her in her tracks, you letting your Energy Body fade. “Oh my gods, are you alright?!”
“Nice shot. Your disc moves faster than the others I've seen, you caught me by surprise kiddo.” you reply, taking a moment to check yourself. The cut isn't deep, didn't even reach down to the bone, but did cut the top half of your suit clean off, front and back halves falling off your torso to hang around your waist. “Doesn't feel deep, so we can keep going.”

“Are you sure? You're bleeding everywhere!” she says, you waving it off.
“Nah, this is nothing. Besides, if I was an enemy, I'd still have plenty of fight left in me.” you answer, retaking your fighting stance. While the wound isn't deep, it will keep leaking until you stop it. Meaning you can't spar with her until Cooler shows up and then fight him as well, but you can still make her work for a while until you'll need to recover. So, with this in mind, what now?

I do hope that we eventually see Amaya’s timeline again. Assuming that specific Zamasu used the same methods he did in canon to become Goku Black, there’s still a ‘past’ timeline. Marron is the ‘future’ version after all.

Could be fun to have Amaya and her Goku fighting side by side with us against Amaya Black? …. Also is Vegeta alive in that timeline or did they kill him? I can’t remember.

“Speaking of, you've done well enough attacking.” you tell her, tightening your fighting stance. “Now it's my turn.”
“Wh-What?” she says, eyes widening. After a second takes her fighting stance, also with her left out front. But her stance is more open than your own, more square to you. Her left is raised up to head-level, palm down and hand open, either to catch or retaliate while her right is back by her chest, heels at forty five degree angles as she braces herself. “Keh.”
“Ready?” you ask, Marron nodding. You then clench your fists, then dash in towards her. Closing the distance in a blink, getting into her range. She brings her left down elbow-first, hand up and holding her arm vertically to deflect your opening strike to either side. You then swing your right, Marron moving her left to deflect it out past her. But that was a feint, you then pulling back and firing a lightning-swift left jab directly into her face. Snapping her head back, clearly catching her off-guard.

“Kyuah?!” she exclaims, looking back down towards you as you follow up with a right straight. Marron, with only a moment to act draws both arms back into an “X”, blocking your strike and withstanding the attack with her crossed guard. Stopping your strike, but the you twist, stepping in and firing a left uppercut into the intersection of her arms. Smashing into her guard and blowing her arms away, knocking them both straight up. “Wh-What?!”
“Too slow!” you exclaim, spinning into a back right elbow, the heavy bone smashing into her face once again. Snapping her head back, leaving her body wide open. Which you take advantage of, drawing your right up and fire off a powerful side kick into her guts. Doubling her over your leg, your granddaughter wheezing in pain. Clutching to her guts, you then raise your arms up while drawing your leg back, slamming both your joined hands down onto her back. Sending your granddaughter crashing to the ground, smashing face-first into the dirt. Her body disappearing in the plume of dust the attack kicks up.

“Her defense needs work.” you mutter to yourself, slowly lowering yourself towards the ground. Only, after six or seven seconds you feel her power surge.
“HAAAAAAAAAA!” she bellows as her ascended aura blazes, blasting the dust away as she charges back up towards you.
“But she's got spirit!” you say, charging your own power and dashing down to meet her charge head-on. “HAAAAAA!!”

The two of you close in, swinging rights forward and into each other's. Your right and her right clash, the shock wave blasting you both back. But as she recoils in surprise you recover, dashing back in and keeping up the pressure. She sees you closing in, crossing her arms once more to defend. Blocking your right, but as you ready another uppercut she surprises you, going on the attack. Throwing both hands forward, pointer fingers and thumbs touching.

“HAAAAAA!!” she roars, firing a fiery energy blast point-blank. Forcing you to pull your attack short, bringing your left up in front of your face to help block the attack. The energy hits your arm, blasting you back a few yards back away from her. But the moment the blast ends you sweep your left arm to the side, blowing the smoke her attack kicked up and dashing back in. Forcing her back onto the defensive, trying her best to withstand your attack. However, you immediately realize that she's got no defense, falling for your every feint, unable to actively defend against your strikes and try to block them instead of looking for openings to lash out. And after nearly a minute, she's barely able to block one in every four swings you send at her.

So, you decide to finish this, feinting a left jab, then feint a right body hook as well only to then fire off the left jab, connecting it square to her nose. Or, rather, where her nose WOULD be if she had one. Snapping her head back, opening her body for the right body hook to the floating ribs. Causing Marron to wince and flinch in pain, body instinctively curling around the last hit. Leaving her face wide open, you nailing her clean to the cheek with an overhand left hook. Knocking Marron out of the sky, sending her spiraling down to the ground where she crashes down once more. Dust fills the air as you drop down to her, blowing it away with a sweep of your hand to find her laying in a crater, chest heaving as the golden glow slowly leaves her hair. Seeing her power down you do so as well, telepathically thanking New Salda before reaching out to Caulifla.

“You two finished? Alright, I'm in the middle of something with the Jiralhanae, give me five minutes.” she replies, you thanking her before ending the mental link. Then, with a sigh sit down on the edge of the new crater, looking down at Marron.
“Easy, just lay there and catch your breath. You did well, all things considered.” you tell her, Marron not even opening her eyes as she fights to get and then steady her breath. She's already drenched in sweat, clearly pushed to her limits as she tries to recover. “Just focus on your breathing, we'll talk once you're ready.”

For the next couple minutes the only sounds in the clearing are the wind through the trees, the distant, distant sounds of two people fighting in the arena in the city, and as you sit there in the clearing a squadron of Attack Pods lift off into the air. Reaching out with your ki sense, you can detect Bardock on one, Leyas and Sarada in two others and two others you don't recognize but feel nearly as powerful. Seems they're off on some sort of mission, leaving you wondering what?

But as you think this, Marron finally manages to sit up, drawing your attention back to her. She's in rough shape, arms bloody and bruised, the new armor she just got cracked and broken in several places. Barely holding together, one more solid hit to the sternum would probably shatter the entire thing.

“H-How are. You. So. Strong?” she asks, looking up to you. “Why couldn't I. Even. Scratch you?”

Well? How do you answer her?
>Explain she lost this one not due to power, but to skill. And you're going to not only make her stronger, but a better fighter as well
>Tell her that it is simply a gap in experience, you've been fighting for your life and your worlds longer than she's been alive. But that you'll teach her what you know, so she can become far greater
>Answer her question with another question, get her to ask why she couldn't do so of herself. See if she can examine the sparring match critically and see her failures, or if you'll have to teach her this as well
>Tell her that it was a difference in power, you're used to fighting far stronger and faster beings than her. And invite her to watch your sparring match with Cooler this evening, to truly see the difference in levels and hopefully use that to motivate her to get stronger

“Well, why do you think that is?” you ask her, your granddaughter looking up to you. “Why is that you couldn't best me?”
“You're too strong. You didn't even transform, and yet...” she says, looking down at her right hand. “I'm still too weak.”
“Really? But you were stronger than me from the moment you Ascended.” you say, Marron looking back to you with wide eyes. “If power is all that this was, you'd have bested me.”

“But you were holding back. You didn't even go into a Super Saiyan, much less that super form you took against Amaya Black.” your granddaughter replies, sighing out. “If I were stronger...”
“Oh really? Then what?” you ask her, seeing the confusion on her face. “Is that all there is to a fight, just who has the bigger number? Or were you losing to me despite being stronger the entire time we fought?”
“I... But...” she says, looking from you back down to her hands. Clearly not understanding. So with a sigh you watch Marron try to think through it, your granddaughter still looking at her hands. “Is it just... Me? Am -I- not good enough?”

“No.” you say, startling your granddaughter so bad she flinches back. Your volume surprises even you, you taking a deep breath and sighing out before speaking more. “Don't do that. That thought process isn't productive, it won't make you better. Instead of thinking that way, think back on what happened. Instead think on what could you have done better, or differently.”
“I...That's...I....” she says, looking from you back to your hands. No longer going down a self-destructive spiral, but instead looking critically back on the sparring match. As she does, you turn towards the approaching energy, Caulifla approaching you both from the south. And she's not alone, you sensing her 'friend' Lottus with her. The two then appear over the treeline, both dropping down to the ground by you both.

“Wow, looks like she got you with a good one.” your daughter says, Marron looking up and seeing Cauli and Lottus. Looking surprised as she's in her Darkmoon garb, and Lottus is in his silvered armor. “Put poor Marron through the ringer, did you?”
“She's got a solid chin on her, and has the basics.” you reply as Cauli goes down on a knee, ringing her chime and muttering the words to her healing spell. A few seconds later, her icy magic bursts forth, you feeling it inundate your body. Looking to your granddaughter, see that she's getting healed as well, all the evidence of the fight to her body vanishing. Marron, looking herself over rises up to her feet, clearly feeling much better now. “But she needs some work.”

“And speaking of work, Clothes Beam!” Caulifla shouts, firing her beam at her. There's a flash of light, and when it fades, you see your daughter's fixed her armor completely. “There. Good as new.”
“Woah, that's impressive.” Marron says, surprised at how versatile her aunt's powers are. “Thank you, Ca-Aunt Caulifla.”
“Of course, anytime. Just not for the next hour or so, we're heading back down to the ruins. Need to make sure more of those damned Darkwraiths don't come through.” she says, waving as she and he take off back towards the entrance to the M'lurnian Ruins. As they go, you turn back to Marron. Who, now that she's no long hurting, is in a clearly better place, smiling once more.

“So. Now that you're back to a hundred percent, let's try again.” you say to her, sitting on the ground and gesturing for her to do the same. “What do you think went wrong for you?”
“I hate to admit it, but we're on completely different levels.” she says as she sits down in front of you, your frustration building as you think she's about to go back into raw power again. But, instead, she sees what you were hoping she would realize. “You fight completely differently from the guys I fought before. All my life, was fighting against guys much more powerful, so much so they didn't really bother with learning any real fighting technique, like the Androids. But when you were attacking me, it was like I wasn't even trying to defend myself. You could hit every weakness in my guard, break it open whenever you wanted, I couldn't do anything to stop you from hitting me.”

“Yes, that's one reason. Being strong and knowing how to USE that strength are two separate things. You could be the strongest being in the universe, but if you can't hit your opponent when it counts does it matter?” you reply, Marron nodding along. “Now, what else?”

For the next few minutes the two of you go over everything, reviewing the sparring match in close detail. How, because of her conditioning she gassed out so quick, how her attacks weren't diverse enough to create actual openings, and while her energy attacks and techniques she used were her highlights, she could neither fire back effectively nor close the distance when you kept firing attacks at range. Although one line she says here does catch your interest, Marron worried about causing damage to YOUR planet by firing attacks randomly even after you'd fired the Scattershots down at her. Showing she's smart enough to be worried about collateral damage in the heat of the moment and not just firing indiscriminately. All in all, now that she's calmed down, she's got quite a handle on the differences between you and her. Which just leaves one question:

What sort of training will you start her on? You still have an hour or so before it's time to train your students, and bring her along to start training in higher and higher gravity and meeting more of her people. If you'll introduce her today, you could keep focused on training her one-on-one, at least for the day as well.

Well? What will you choose?
>Start teaching her Su Ma technique, once you've started it today, tomorrow she can join the younger kids later under the Guardian and former Guardian's watchful eyes
>Start teaching her how to use the Djem So technique, it'll be easier for her to grasp than Su Ma and require less effort. But may be less effective overall, as she's more accustomed to fighting stronger foes, not being the stronger one
>Focus on defense first, if she can withstand others' assaults then she can work on dishing out damage of her own
>Stamina training first and foremost, she needs to strengthen her body and her conditioning before getting into the more technical work. Start her off with a swim across the sea, swimming around half the planet's circumference
>Teach her how to use your Piercing Fist, a simple technique that will allow her to effectively close the gap against someone using primarily ranged attacks
>Take her to your ship's gravity chamber and crank it up as high as she can still move in, then walk her through your daily workout. Start building up her strength to withstand New Salda's gravity, then once she's able to do it without collapsing she'll be ready to start

“Alright, are you ready?” you ask, Marron looking to you in confusion.
“Ready for what?” she asks, clearly not understanding.
“To get started.” you tell her, your granddaughter's eyes widening in surprise. “If you're ready, we'll get started right away. The sooner we get to work, the sooner you can start learning how to fight proper.”

“I'm ready!” she declares, clenching her fists. You nod, taking a deep breath then slowly exhaling, retaking your fighting stance. Seeing this she takes her own, a hint of worry in her eyes. “A-Are we starting?”
“I'm going to teach you the Su Ma technique. This style saved my ass on more than one occasion, against beings who by all rights should have kicked my ass. It will serve you well, once you learn it. But, first, a demonstration.” you tell her, crossing your arms. Focusing your power, using your Spirit Control to split yourself into two. Using the Multiform technique, turning one Karn into two. “Now, pay attention. Watch closely, okay?”
“Uhh, yeah, s-sure.” she says, not knowing what you're going to do. But then you leap away from yourself, both of you facing each other and taking your stance. The 'you' on Marron's right then speaks.

“I'll be attacking with the Su Ma technique. Watch my movements closely.” you say, then dashing over at yourself. The you not attacking fires off a left jab, which the you using the Su Ma dodges. Twisting counterclockwise around the strike, you get around behind yourself, firing a left elbow into the back of your own neck. Staggering the stationary you forward a step while the one using the Su Ma technique continues the assault, flipping up and over yourself. As the struck you twists, firing a left backfist as so many who've tried to fight your Su Ma style have before. But you're not there, twisting around midair and swinging down, firing a crushing right knee down once more into the back of your own neck. Knocking the 'less agile' you down to the ground onto all fours. Ending the attack, you land lightly on your toes, turning to her. “This is the power of the Su Ma technique. By attacking with momentum, constantly moving and attacking form unexpected angles and directions, you can overwhelm even a physically stronger opponent. Now, are you ready to get started?”

And as you see the sparkle and awe in her eyes, hardening to determination as she clenches her fists, nodding to you once, you see her mother's determination gleaming there. For better or worse, she's her mother's daughter.

Curious what mission Bardock has departed on with Leyas and Sarada, how well Marron will adapt to your extreme training schedule, as well as life on New Salda? Do you think Towa's seal will hold, or with Marron's homeworld in this time once more come under fire from beings outside this time? And speaking of outside time, what do you think Mechikabura's ultimate decision on your plan will be? “The most important part of Su Ma is speed and momentum.” you tell her, helping your downed self back up before combining back into one. “When your opponent doesn't expect it from you, starting a fight by catching them by surprise will really throw them off their game. Here, try and hit me as I close in on you, so you can see what it's like firsthand.”
“Alright.” she replies, taking her fighting stance once more. This time, instead of towards yourself you fly at her, Marron stepping into your charge and throwing a right straight. Which you dodge by spinning clockwise around, dodging her blow with ease. Using the momentum to throw a heavy spinning right back-fist at her chin, stopping your strike the instant your make contact. So, instead of knocking her around, you freeze the moment of impact, letting her know you COULD have hit her but didn't. “Ah-?!”

“See how quickly the flow of the fight changes with that simple technique? Instead of rushing in and trying to pack all the power and momentum behind a very telegraphed blow, you can convert the power of the dodge into your next strike.” you tell her, backing away. “That'll be the first move we work on today. You'll come at me, and I'll throw rights and lefts for you to dodge around. Once you get that down, we can start getting more into it. Are you in?”
“Absolutely, let's get started.” she replies, taking her fighting stance. You do the same, Marron charging headlong at you. And for the next hour you coach her in the basic Su Ma opening move, clockwise spins into right back fists and counterclockwise spins into left back-fists. Heavy blows designed to disorient and stun your opponent, opening them up for additional follow-ups.

But she's not ready for getting into combos and more advanced techniques. And as you start trying to teach her, another of her problems becomes readily apparent: she fights too static. As if her feet can't leave the ground, even if she's in the air. She doesn't fully comprehend how to move about three-dimensionally AROUND her opponent. For over a dozen times, instead of spinning around your punches she spins in place, leading to getting hit and knocked onto her ass in shock. But as you catch her in the jaw for the seventh time with your jab, realize that you need to switch things up. You need to take it one step at a time.

“Dammit!” she exclaims as she basically runs into your fist, getting knocked back down to the ground once more. “Ow.”
“Hang on, I have an idea.” you tell her, retaking your fighting stance then throwing out a left. Then, as you hold it, you activate your Unmovable Energy Body, armor locking yourself fully in place. “Try again, but this time dodge around my already-outstretched arm. Don't think of it as dodging a punch, but moving around and past the punch to get close enough to hit me.”
“Okay, I'll try.” she says, taking a deep breath then with a shout charges. “HAAAAA!!”

You watch your granddaughter charge, then as she reaches your outstretched fist spins counterclockwise around it. Letting her momentum carry her past your hand, down your arm and firing her own spinning left hook to your jaw. Her fist lands clean against your armor, you not even feeling the blow, but she lands it perfectly. And as her eyes light up in excitement and triumph, you feel yourself smiling as well. She can do this.

“Very good, you finally got it.” you say, powering your armor down and turning to her as her feet touch back down to the ground. “That was excellent.”
“Let's keep going, I'm ready!” she says, panting a bit in exhaustion. Despite how tired she has to be from the unfamiliar gravity and the sparring match earlier, she shows no signs of slowing down. But you know, from what you sense that your students are gathering. That you've got only a minute or two before your teaching of them will start.

Well? What will you do?
>Telepathically ask Meloka to fully take over today while you keep working with Marron
>Tell Marron that that's it for the one-on-one for now, because it's time for her to meet your students and see what training will REALLY look like
>Take Marron over to the Guardian, ask Raven to keep coaching her through Su Ma while you teach your students. She's not ready for the increased gravity of that training hall, not yet
>Tell Marron that it's time for you to teach your students and that she's welcome to come along and join. But warn her the training hall's gravity is even higher than out here, let her make the decision

“I can tell you are, but I have to stop for now.” you tell her, your granddaughter looking confused. “It's almost time for me to start teaching my students.”
“Oh, okay.” she says, deflating a little bit. You then reach over, placing your right hand on her shoulder.
“Look, I'm going to tell it to you straight. It might be too much for you.” you tell her seriously. “We keep the training hall at a gravity a couple times higher than the gravity out here, to push them to make progress. You're welcome to join us, or even just come on in and watch if you're not ready for it. It's up to you, kiddo.”

“I'm coming along, I gotta see this.” she says, sounding more eager than disappointed. “I gotta see how strong this gravity gets.”
“Alright, come on then.” you say, reaching out with telekinesis and grabbing her sword, pulling it over to your hands before handing it over. Marron swings it onto her back, buckling it and meeting your gaze with a nod. You nod back, taking to the air. She follows you as you fly, the two of you heading back to the city's training facility. Where, as you approach see Tatsu and Tomi walking with Goar and the shokan woman Sheeva. You both drop down to them, landing by them as Goar opens the door and all go in together.
“Glad t'see ya joinin' in today.” Goar says to your granddaughter, giving her an encouraging slap on the back that nearly knocks her off her feet. Marron catches herself, then turns back to him as the door closes. Leaving you all in the pressurization chamber. “Brace yerself, it's about to get heavy.”

“What?” Marron asks, Goar reaching over and hitting the button to equalize gravity. Shifting the gravity inside this chamber to that of the gravity inside the training hall. You turn to Marron, watching her as the pressure increases to see if she can handle it. At first you think it's going to flatten her, but she plants her feet, back bowed but she remains standing, grunting and straining as the gravity increases to five times New Salda's. Arms and legs shaking under the weight, Marron is nearly knocked to all fours. But she manages to stay standing, not letting her hands hit the ground as she forces herself slowly back upright. And as the door leading from the chamber into the training hall opens, with a triumphant gasp Marron forces herself back upright. Only for the weight of her sword, now five times more than it was outside, causes her to fall backwards, landing flat in the chamber. “Waaaah?!”

“You okay kiddo?” you ask, turning from the chamber to her. Seeing Marron laying flat on the ground, arms spread as she struggles to catch her breath. Eyes closed and focusing on her breathing, you tell the four of them to go on, you'll help her in. Then you take a knee, offering her your hand. “C'mon, I'll help you up.”
“Th-Thanks.” she says, arm trembling as she slowly reaches up to take your hand. After a few seconds she forces her arm up, grasping onto your own hand. Standing up, you pull her up with you, Marron getting her feet back underneath her. But you don't immediately let go, waiting until she's fully gotten her balance before releasing her. “I-I didn't think. It would be. This heavy.”

“Take your time, let yourself adjust before pushing yourself too hard kiddo.” you tell her, reaching over and ruffling her hair. “But for now, take your time. I'm gonna go get them started, feel free to join in whenever you feel up to it, alright?”
“Will do.” she replies, you turning and leaping to the enhanced chamber, to address your students.
“Alright everyone, no big speeches today, we all know what we're here for.” you tell them. “Let's get to it.”

“Yes sir!” your students all shout, saluting you before splitting into their groups, everyone getting to work. You go from group to group, coaching them, correcting technique, and giving encouragement as needed. Pushing your students to their limits, sparing a glance every now and then for your granddaughter. Who, to your surprise, doesn't just sit and watch. No, as your teaching continues, you see her, off on her own, practicing throwing punches and kicks in the heavy gravity, acclimating her body to the pressure of five times New Salda's gravity. She keeps working hard, totally focused on her work and not noticing what everyone else is doing until you call an end to the day's training. Once more taking up your spot, congratulating them on their good work and dismissing them for the day. But now it's time for you and your family to eat, which only leaves one question:

Well? What's on the menu today?
>Head back to your home, but instead of going in have your children go out and fish up lunch instead. Enjoy a cookout on the beach with whatever they manage to catch
>Time to show Marron the best cooking in the universe, take her to your ship and enjoy whatever Silver's cooking up

Having decided on where to eat, you turn to Marron, only to see her laying on her back, gasping for air. So you leap down, going over to her and kneeling by her head.

“Hey kiddo, you okay?” you ask her, Marron opening an eye. “You did good, I caught some of your training you were doing on your own here.”
“Th-Thanks.” she manages to say, struggling to catch her breath. Once more you offer her your hand, and again she takes it. You hauling her upright, but at this point she's got no more strength left. Unable to stand on her own in this gravity, you instead pick her up and put her on your back before turning to the rest of your family.

“Alright, who is ready to go eat?” you ask your family, everyone agreeing enthusiastically. So you lead the way, heading out of the training hall. Once outside, Marron gets off your back, planting her feet on the ground and you all walk into the city. Heading back to the restaurant Silver's two top apprentices own, along with a full third of your own students. The place was nearly empty as you enter, you and most your students all getting to sit down and start eating. The meal is excellent as ever, their years studying under Silver paying dividends. Then once the meal is finished you head out with your family, stretching your arms overhead after the meal. Only to hear Marron suddenly yawning from beside you, feeling her power dip momentarily. “Had all you can take?”
“Sorry, but it's been a long day.” she replies, yawning once more. “My planet and yours. Are on different timetables. It would be one or two in the morning by now, on my planet's time.”
“Why didn't you say so earlier? C'mon, we'll get you situated.” you tell her, lifting into the air. She follows, the two of you flying back to your ship. Going inside, you find one of the empty rooms, specifically Chaya's that she almost never uses anymore and reach out to her telepathically before opening it.

“Hey, kiddo, mind if I put Marron up in your room?” you ask her, to which Chaya replies immediately that that would be great. So you open it up, where the bed, dresser, and everything are already out. “And this will be your room. Feel free to stay as long as you want.”
“My own room? Really, you don't have to-” she starts, only to be interrupted as you place your hand on her head. Leaning down closer to her eye level.
“You're one of us, you get your own room. Well, not ENTIRELY your own, as this is Chaya's room. But she said it's fine for you to stay in long as you're here in our time.”

At this you see Marron's eyes start watering a bit but quickly wipes them with her forearm before giving you a smile.

“Thank you, grandpa. For everything.” she says, going in for a hug. Which you accept, holding your granddaughter to you. After a few moments you feel a few wet spots on your chest where her face is, but you don't say anything. Simply holding and comforting your granddaughter. After a few more seconds she pulls back, you letting her go. Only for her face to contort a bit, looking down at her own arms. “Hey, where are the showers again?”
“This way, I'll show you.” you say with a chuckle, leading her over. Once she knows where everything is you leave her to it, turning your focus back to your own training. So, you head to the gravity chamber on board your ship, activating the chamber only to see the number is at only 80x New Salda's gravity. Seems someone else has been using the gravity chamber. But you shake those thoughts off, focused entirely on your workout once you set it back to a hundred times. Going throughout your workout once more, but as you do, a nagging thought comes back to mind. As you push yourself, you remember how powerful that Meloka Black was, just how outclassed you'd been against her.

Without the wormhole taking her back out of your time, you doubt you could have bested her. But as you think over the fight, something else comes to mind. When you'd decapitated her, you'd sort of expected her to start regenerating from the head-down. However, once severed by your wife's attack, her head simply started disintegrating. But why? Why would it start disappearing as if hit by Divine Dragon Force, or a Hakai or some other similar power when severed from her body? Questions you don't have answers to, at least not yet, but as you keep training, you know one thing. No matter what it takes, you're going to get stronger. Strong enough to even challenge her, if that's what it takes to protect your granddaughter.

Thoughts and worries of the future fill your mind as you work out, and by the time you're finished have a few theories on how to take her down. Including the riskiest strategy of forcing her to take on the Rosé Oozaru form, like Kars had against Chaya. Sure, she'd become impossibly powerful for a few moments but getting her to that level then cutting off her tail would take a huge chunk out of her powers. But as you exit the gravity chamber you leave those thoughts behind, turning to your next training with your wife.

The rest of the day goes by as normal, with no more surprises or unexpected happenings. Marron sleeps right through supper, you all finishing for the day and relaxing for a few minutes before getting into bed yourself. Your last thoughts, as you close your eyes and drift off to sleep, are of your granddaughter. And how you're going to do whatever it takes to protect her as well. But after some time you find yourself rising up from your slumber, waking to find Meloka asleep beside you. But Towa is nowhere to be seen, which is unusual. Then, remembering back, she also wasn't present when you'd gone to bed, or even at supper that evening.

“I'll eat later, in the middle of something right now.” she'd told you. But now you wonder what could hold her attention so completely and for so long? Reaching out with your ki sense, you find Towa still in her lab. But you also notice Marron isn't on your ship anymore. Seems that, after finally waking up, she must have stepped out for some fresh air or something.

But what do you do?

Laying there, something about Towa's absence has you a little worried. So, with a though you reach out to her, sending her a telepathic message.

“Towa, is everything okay?” you think to her, feeling her mind ablaze and running a thousand thousand thoughts a second. So much information is going through her mind it takes her a couple seconds to realize that you were trying to reach out to her.
“Karn? What is it?” she asks, a hint of concern in her mind. “Is everything okay?”
“I don't know, is it? It's already morning, you never came to bed. Been up all night, is what you're working on that important?” you ask her, wondering what she's been up to. “Is everything okay on YOUR end?”
“Been checking through the timelines, figuring out where the hell this Zamasu came from and what it wants with you.” she replies. “And, most importantly, how in the hell she got so powerful. And what I found, well... You're going to want to see this. It's not good.”

“Alright, I'll be right there.” you reply, sneaking out of bed. Meloka grumbles a bit in her sleep, but doesn't wake. Heading towards the door, you reach out with telekinesis to pull a training suit over to you, stepping into it and pulling it up over you, sliding arms through the arm holes as the door opens. Stepping out into the hall, you head over to the pocket dimension door, stepping over into Towa's lab. Where you find her at her desk, walking over to see her looking over a dozen screens. Each one shows that same stolen Meloka body. But as you look over Towa's shoulder, you feel your blood run cold. As each screen shows her murdering you. Some of these Karn are in the Primal form, some Berserkers and even a few using Super Saiyan Blue, somehow. But each one she cuts down in increasingly gruesome ways. “Woah.”
“It was worse than I ever thought. Seems this crazy bitch has been moving through the timelines all connected to this timeline, cutting down each Karn she finds and recruiting more and more Zamasu to her cause.” Towa says, turning from the screens to you. “No wonder she was so powerful. She has been battling against you for YEARS. Furthest evidence I can find of her is this.”

And as she says this the central screen changes, where you see Meloka on a burning hellscape of a world. Only for her body to suddenly change, transforming into that of a green-skinned Kai. As you watch, suddenly Meloka appears wearing the robes of a Kai, dashing in and decapitating her new body. Killing her in a single blow, then looking down at her hands and laughing.

“Let me in there.” you say, clenching your fists so hard your knuckles pop audibly. “I'll kill that bitch right then and there, stop all this from happening.”
“You could. But it won't stop her.” Towa says, freezing and zooming in on the screen. Specifically, to Meloka Black's right hand where a silver ring gleams in the light. “See this? That is a Time Ring, the same one I presume she was wearing when you fought her?”
“Yeah, what about it?” you reply, confused. “What's so special about that?”

“The Time Ring protects one from any and all temporal distortions that occur within their own past.” she says, then simplifies it. “Anything that happens to her in her past doesn't affect her present. Killing her then and there won't stop the one you fought earlier tod-yesterday.”
“Wait. So, what you're saying, is... If I kill that one, then when we fight the other one, all I have to do is get that ring off her hand?” you ask, Towa's eyes sparkling tiredly as she sees you understand.
“Very good. But that's not all. You don't even have to kill her in her own past.” she says, changing the screen once more. This time it turns to a place you've never seen before, where Beerus, Whis, the Supreme Kai and Meloka are confronting Zamasu and another elderly Kai, this one with more yellow skin. Only for the Zamasu to draw his energy blade and rush Meloka, but then Beerus moves. Catching his hand and erasing the Kai with his Hakai. “Because Beerus already beat you to it.”

“The Time Ring's so powerful even a Destroyer erasing you won't-?” you start, then freeze. Remembering how Meloka Black's head vanished once separated from her body. But, more specifically, her head was separated from that Time Ring. So, THAT's why it disappeared like that! “That's it. We just have to get that ring away from her, and she's done.”
“Indeed. However, you'll only get one shot at this.” Towa replies, expression turning far more serious as she meets your gaze again. “If she knows what you're after, Meloka Black will do whatever it takes to protect that Time Ring. Or even kill other of her Zamasu that may be present at the battle, taking their Time Rings for herself to prevent you from taking her out this way. If she escapes, this won't work again. You'll only get one shot.”

As she says this, you look down to your hands, no longer feeling so hopelessly outclassed by the time traveler. You can do it, you can beat her. There is a way to do it. All you have to do is get that ring off her, and let the Destroyer's Hakai finish her off. This battle isn't nearly as impossible as you once thought, you can do this.

All we need to do is develop our energy body into a cutting device specifically in our palm then grab the hand mid-combo and rip the finger off. Easy peasy bitch is squeezied. Then you take the ring off and eat it.
>>
>>6175463
You now have a method to take Meloka Black down. However, one important consideration: if she fights you with ANY OTHER Zamasu present, she could kill them and take THEIR Time Ring for herself. Hakai isn't an instant kill, especially against someone that powerful. Hell, look how long it took Zamasu, a being around Super Saiyan 2's level to be erased completely. You have to not only take the ring, but KEEP it away long enough to win.
>>6175472
Eating it is something you could try and do, but then it may have... Unforseen consequences.
>>
>>6175457
Did you expect your players to figure out the win condition before you revealed it, or did you think it'd be before you started dropping hints?

Eating things and finding out what they do is the duty of every living thing. SOMEONE has to be the first to chew on that suspicious looking leaf or mushroom.

>>6175481

It's just a ring. No grosser than eating a coin. Leyas eats rocks. Just make him chow down on all the rings.

Well, if it really has to be consumed, can't we get Ginyu to absorb it in his Majin body? I think there's some fucky nonsense involved where you can't just kill Buu to free whats inside his body. I just don't want Karn to eat it and then get a surprise gastrectomy. Plus, we have to make sure MB doesn't run away or have a conveniently placed teammate to commit friendly fire. I really doubt the same UEB headlock we did before will work twice since we got that close to ending her life, so she will come prepared for shenanigans.

I listed a few things we could try from earlier, including getting Okira to turn the Time Ring into a donut or something. But I don't like those plans for those massive margins for error.
>>
>>6175492
>I just don't want Karn to eat it and then get a surprise gastrectomy.
Zamasu isn't going to regen from the ring itself. ANd the ring doesn't do lantern ring shenanigans where it flies around on its own and shit, It'll be fiiiine
>>
>>6175481
I'd hoped to and have just this as the 'IC reveal' so Karn would know
You don't know where that finger has been.
>>6175483
You can always eat the Time Ring of your own timeline later, if you really want.
>>6175492
Ginyu taking it would be interesting, as he could do things with it no one else can. Well, maybe one other being your family knows could do the same.
Its risky. But if you beat Meloka Black alone, will the other Zamasu all come seeking revenge together?
>>
>>6175518
>if you really want.
What I want will get me put on a government watchlist. I very much hate Zamasu.
>>
>>6175492
Idea. What if we just had Ginyu loan us a chunk of his body and pretend to be a ring on our hand during the fight.
That way all we need to do it get a grip on Black's hand and tell Ginyu to get to work and eat her Time Ring.
>>
>>6175518
>But if you beat Meloka Black alone, will the other Zamasu all come seeking revenge together?
Probably. Ideally, we swipe the time ring from MB to make her melt like the wicked witch from Oz and then use it to hunt down each and every Zamasu one by one. Because fuck you what do you MEAN our alternate selves and their families are already dead??

Guess the wife is going hunting with us then.
>Risky. Blue Kaio-Ken can overpower Time Skip, There's no way Meloka Black WITH A TIME RING will be susceptible to his technique.
Fucking Hit and his consequences have been a disaster for time-related powers. Somehow, pumping more iron leads to being able to say "no" to his bullshit which he never should've had. Though, I was expecting the Time Ring to be an issue.
>Chronoa's Time Stop was DIVINE. Guldo's is not, therefore the Berserker Soul doesn't mitigate its effects on you
Mmmmakes sense
>>
To think it all happened because Gowasu was such a fucking dummy he thought civilization would skip from neolithic to the information era in a mere millennium and thus vindicated Zamasu in his narrow, retarded ass.

Jesus dude with him and Shin I just hate Kaioshin so fucking much, such an incompetent strata of the deity totem.
>>
>>6175627
Would help if they didn't sit on their ass and do fuck all with the mortals until it becomes a problem. That's the one redeeming quality of Zamasu, at least he takes action.
>>
>>6175566
We've really got to do a deeper dive into the nature of divinity. Depending on the specifics, the implications in regards to the Berserker Soul are..."interesting", to say the least.
>>
>>6175594
Would be advisable not to go alone. However, this is going to be quite the fight.
Yes and no, Hit's technique isn't stopping time. His ability's more complex than that. Also, don't forget, Goku was using a literal divine technique stacked atop a divine transformation. Unlike Jiren. Who, as a reminder, is strong enough to beat BELMOND. The Destroyer of Universe 11 one-on-one.
Which is why I put that in capslock.
Also true. Guldo's power, while a mutation, is a wholly mortal ability.
>>6175627
Yeah, he should have given more time. Or jumped throughout their timeline, showing how the species developed over time.
>>6175640
Also true, the gods don't act. However, their job ISN'T to act. That's the Destroyer's job, to handle problems in the mortal realm that need removing. Zamasu would have made a better Destroyer than Kai.
>>6175664
Well, you do have several divine beings in close proximity to you. And different flavors as well, including one older than your anti-divine power's entire existence.
>>
>>6175640
>>6175678
No wonder the Elder Kai has an actual head on his shoulders, because he's not even an actual Kaioshin, he's part WITCH.

I-fucking-magine if we actually had a fucking retard similar to Gowasu (who was millions of years old btw) to handle Buu. God I just get angrier at the thought of it.

.....Guldo would just explode...

Or most likely, the rage would nix his timestop because he'd be too angry to breathe, and then we'd have to deal with a miniature hulk for no reason. All of this and we wouldn't be able to tell if it works until Round 2 with MB.
>>
>>6175981

>>6175735
Instead you had GSK, who despite his best efforts was still weakened from his fight with Moro. Most of his power was constantly used to keep the goat demon sorcerer restrained, and the seal only broke when Kid Buu died.
>>6175751
Witches are crafty, clever beings. But one point no one ever recognized: HOW did a witch get to the Planet of the Kai? IN THE DIVINE REALM?!
>>6175965
That's not a bad idea. That's THREE bad ideas in a trench coat.
>>
>>6176003
>HOW did a witch get to the Planet of the Kai? IN THE DIVINE REALM?!
They invited her there, obviously. To polish their balls. Their crystal balls.
>>
>>6176029
That is so stupid that i believe it.
>>
>>6176003
I know it's retroactive continuity since Moro didn't exist when the Buu Saga was being written, but man, I can't help but imagine how GOATed and powerful a GSK at the peak of his power would've been. Because to me it sounds like if he didn't have to seal the big bad ram away, he would've rolled up Buu like chewing gum with ease.
>>
>>6176029
But Kai cannot create those. The beings aside from Elder Kai to make them are Towa, Mechikabura, and(while you haven't met her) Fortuneteller Baba. Plus, although anime-only filler, there IS one in hfil that Cell, King Cold, Freeza, etc were watching Goku SS3 v Kid Buu on. There seems to be a throughline with scrying orbs.
>>6176073
Stronger than a "Devourer of WORLDS" Moro. Who eats entire planets for power, not unlike a certain Transformers big bad. And we know Grand Supreme Kai is stronger/better, because unlike Moro, he WON. And we see Moro's power compared to beings like Omen Goku, Blue Vegeta, Majin Buu: GSK Awakened, etc. If Moro gets free he'll be a PREMIUM problem, but thankfully Towa put extra seals on him so he can't escape and no one ever touched them or damaged them in any way whatsoever.
>>

>and no one ever touched them or damaged them in any way whatsoever.

>>6176148
>But Kai cannot create those.
Says who? But besides that, it doesn't mean they didn't invite her up to polish the balls. Doesn't matter who makes them, someone has to maintain them. And kais being universal fuckups means they'd probably scratch them trying to buff them with a tree root or some dumbass shit.
>>
>>6176148
>although anime-only filler, there IS one in hfil that Cell, King Cold, Freeza, etc were watching Goku SS3 v Kid Buu on.
That was a fun idea. Wish it made it into the manga somehow.

>>6176163
Ha
>>6176171
A good question. Mechikabura has his guess who's behind it, but we don't know.
>>6176186
The only reason Elder Kai knows how to use one is that he's a witch fusion. The main reason Shin wasn't able to track Babidi was that he doesn't have nor could use one.
>>6176212
Funny thing about this. A lot of Dragonball's filler, especially pre-z was Toriyama's ideas they animated.
>>
>>6176295
>The main reason Shin wasn't able to track Babidi was that he doesn't have nor could use one.

>he doesn't have nor could use

HOW? I literally said he's too incompetent to figure out how to use a scrying orb.
>>
>>6176686
By saying that the defining factor in his inability to find Babidi being that it was cause he could not ponder an orb. The implication being that could he, he would have found the ballsack. To which I say, fie! Even could he use literal omniscience magic he'd fumble the bag.

The bar is buried in the ground and yet still he is below it.
>>
>>6176690
You underestimate how busted they can be. Name a person, see them. Zoom out, keep zooming out, you now have continent AND planet they're on.
Besides, I said MAIN, not ONLY reason. IF he were competent enough to be able to work an orb, even rock-eater extraordinaire Leyas could figure out the planet someone was on with that.
>>
>>6176702
Not to imply Leyas is too incompetent to use one, he just lacks magic and thus CAN'T use one. Unlike the Supreme Kai, who can activate one.
>>
>>6176702
>Shin:"Show me Majin Buu!"
>it shows the ground somewhere

it's kind of wild that there's a new dragonball series being made as we speak and it seems like nobody gives a flying fuck about it. It hasn't even been brought up in the off period between sessions here.
>>
>>6176742
I acknowledge Daima is good, but watching Super as it premiered kinda just ruined the idea of keeping up with anything Dragon Ball related for me.
>>
>>6176706
Ha! Except he couldn't believe Buu COULD die, not after beating Grand Supreme Kai in front of him.
>>6176710
His body may have magical PROPERTIES, but bro has no mana.
>>6176742
I've been enjoying it personally, especially certain lore and worldbuilding revelations that I have certainly been working with lately. But while I don't get why the greater community's said nothing about it but the Vegeta fight/transformation, I kinda prefer it. A LOT of morons online talk out the wrong hole.
>>6176748
How? Unless you quit watching before the Black Arc started, in which case, understandable. I still have some of those frames of absolute TRASH from the movie remakes saved somewhere.
>>
>>6176748
>I acknowledge Daima is good
Now let's not get carried away. It's pretty fucking iffy, I reckon. I think most of us desperately WANT it to be good (as it would suck if the only dragon ball content currently being released was arse), and that bias is nearly the only thing keeping it from being viewed as unfavourably as GTs black star dragon ball arc (which it is quite reminiscent of, especially in the first half dozen episodes).

(Most recent episode was dog shit, for sure).
>>
>>6176755
>His body may have magical PROPERTIES, but bro has no mana.
Is there no way to substitute Ki for Mana?
> But while I don't get why the greater community's said nothing about it but the Vegeta fight/transformation,
Because all the major discussion spaces online are populated by power-scaling obsessed retards who only see numbers and action figures being smashed together. Or even more retarded nonsense like certain characters being jobbers and whatnot. No mind for nuanced observation or discussion.
>How?
The entire show was just flashes of greatness between oceans of slop. The ToP in particular just dragged on and on and fucking on. Even the high note it ended on wasn't really enough to make up for all the mediocrity, at least in my opinion.
After that, I kinda just decided modern Dragon Ball wasn't worth my time. It's not a rational decision mind you, but an emotional one.
>>
>>6176748
That is an entirely fair position to have. I haven't watched Super myself either, but I remember hearing about its stink a few times during its run (before the ToP broke the internet).
>>6176755
>I don't get why the greater community's said nothing about it but the Vegeta fight/transformation
I think most people were wanting a continuation of where Super/DBS Broly left off and start adapting the Moro and Granolah arcs, but Daima is this weird prequel thing squashed firmly between the end of Z and the beginning of Super. But now that I'm saying it, I have to wonder why the post-Broly material aside from Super Hero wasn't animated yet.
>>
>>6176757
It's not bombastic and over-the-top, but it's good in its own right. Not revolutionary or anything, but it doesn't have to be.
>>6176763
Yes, but you need magic to do so. Ki cannot convert itself.
Fair.
A fair assessment. A shame, but I get it.
>>6176781
It was a show plagued by highs and lows. An while having an inconsistent style worked for the original show, in modern times standards are higher for quality. Especially from such a tentpole of the industry.
They're probably waiting for enough content so they don't have the level of filler DBS and Z had. Although old filler was usually written BY Toriyama, or had his input. Best example is the post-23rd WMAT arc before Raditz with the bansho fan and Goku/Chichi's wedding, none of that was actually in the manga.
Also, probably debating on whether or not to do hand-drawn animation like Daima or doing the DBS Super Hero 3D animation.
>>
>>6176942
>Yes, but you need magic to do so. Ki cannot convert itself.
So...some type of magical focus?
>>
>>6176989
Even IF such a device were created and IF Leyas were suddenly given access to mana, IF he were taught how to use it, he still wouldn't. Magic (not Faith miracles like Cauli as that's different) requires so much knowledge and concentration neither he nor his sister Sarada could. At best, even with all that they might manage a cantrip or two. But would be such a time sink and waste of their powers, considering both have Primal Demon, that their best option is continuing specializing the powers they have.
To put it another way, sure you COULD play a 8 INT wizard in DnD, theoretically. But why would you do so with stats of 18STR/18DEX right there for other, better options?

I did.

Seems like she has a lot to learn. Almost everything. I’m curious what she will achieve thanks to training here.
>>6175453
>“Indeed. However, you'll only get one shot at this.”
This will be a battle with very high stakes. On one hand Zamasu is smart so it will not be easy to pull this off on the other hand he fell for this trick from Cui:
>>6173069
>“WHAT?!” she exclaims, whipping her head around where you're pointing, her tone almost too eager.
So there is a chance this plan will succeed.
If it fails though, what are other options? “Plan B” just in case. Is it a good idea to use Mafūba on Meloka Black and seal her away like some ancient evil? If we had a container made from Katchin then it could probably hold Meloka Black inside. Maybe Okira cold make this item with use of Imagine Dragon. We discovered Earth so it may be possible to learn Evil Containment Wave.

Another option. What about Chilli? What if Chilli used Death Magic on Meloka Black. Could she resist/tank/repel “Death Magic: Dust to Dust”?

There is also Divine Dragon Force, but last time it was hard to even touch Meloka Black, so that will not be easy.

Since we found Earth we can also try asking for help the strongest fighter in the universe Mr Satan.
>>6176742
>it's kind of wild that there's a new dragonball series being made as we speak and it seems like nobody gives a flying fuck about it.
I will watch it soon. I hope it is great.
>>6176763
>The entire show was just flashes of greatness between oceans of slop. The ToP in particular just dragged on and on and fucking on.
I personally enjoyed Dragon Ball Super a lot and Tournament of Power was fantastic to me. I had so much fun watching it. When they ended super right after Tournament of Power I was hoping it would be just a short break.
>>
>>6177067
>Maybe Okira cold make this item
It should be "could" not "cold".
>>
You guys aren't ready for tomorrow's cuteness. And neither is Krillin.

>>6177067
Good.
Yes, she's an amateur at best. But she's come to the right place to improve herself.
Cui's trick worked because, as she knows, cannot sense Berserker God ki from anyone else as a god. So, it was entirely believable he could have appeared without her knowing.
There are other options. Wishing the Time Rings lost their power in this timeline with DDF would stop them but may have complications. And if Meloka Black, who undoubtedly KNOWS what Okira can do from other timelines knows she's trying something similar, will most likely target her first. Or, while Death Magic COULD work, theoretically, this one overcame a DESTROYER. If their Hakai couldn't kill her, then it's unlikely Death Magic would either.
But even the regular jar, with the correct magical symbols could even hold ToP VEGETA BLUE. One who was undoubtedly stronger than Goku's own Blue, as we see in the Goku Black arc. Goku was only stronger thanks to Kaio-Ken multipliers, base Blue for Blue Vegeta was stronger.
>>
If there wasn't noticeable gaps in strength all the time and differences between builds, I'd consider the fusion dance to get a leg up over the Zamasu. Because there's no fucking way the kaioshin will give us the potara

-Saiyan Conqueror Quest 232 Epilogue-

AGE 759, PLANET EARTH

“So, is this the place?” she asks, the alien woman seeming a little... Not disappointed, not quite. But something about the very yellow storefront seems to be off-putting to her.
“Yeah. It's a bit bright on the outside, but it's more homely inside. C'mon, let's get a table.” you tell her, trying to be encouraging and walking up. Going to the door, pulling it open and holding it for her. “After you.”
“Uhh, thanks.” she replies, still sounding a bit uncertain of you. Which makes sense, sure that daughter of another timeline's you may have talked you up, but you know you're not exactly a lot to look at. Unlike the warrior goddess here with you, standing several inches taller wearing boots without heels, covered in the scars of battle and proudly displaying the receipts of her working out. She takes a few steps in, looking around and taking in the surroundings.

“Good afternoon ma'am, do you have a reservation? Oh, Krillin! Good to see you here again!” the hostess says, recognizing you as you walk in behind Chaya. But you don't know this one, scanning her nametag for her name.
“Afternoon, Cheryl. We're both here for the challenge today.” you say, taking the opening to reach over, patting the muscular woman on her back as you step up beside her. “Mind getting us a table for two?”
“For two? My my, I see. Very well, follow me!” Cheryl, a woman you'd estimate in her mid thirties says with a wink, leading you both further in. Taking you both to a table with only two seats, setting down a pair of napkin-wrapped utensils at the seats before heading back to the kitchen. However, you don't immediately sit down, instead you go to one seat, pulling it out and turning back to Chaya.

“Here, have a seat.” you say to her, the woman blushing a slight bit at the gesture.
“Th-Thank you.” Chaya replies, sitting down. As she does your eyes go to her small tail, you wondering what happened to hers that got it cut off like that? But instead of asking you instead first go to your own seat, sitting down across from her and meeting her questioning gaze with a smile. “So, what's the challenge here? You said something about a food challenge, but what is it?”
“It's great. The way it works is they'll bring out our meal, with a four and a half pound steak as the main dish and a few sides, and if you can eat it all by yourself in an hour, you don't have to pay.” you tell her, seeing her brows shoot up in surprise as you mention that the meal is free. But her next question is what really surprises you.

“Just one steak? I thought this was supposed to be a food challenge?” she asks, sounding a bit confused. But then her expression lights up a bit, giving you a grin. “Unless you're challenging me to see who can eat theirs faster?”
“Well, that wasn't my intention.” you reply with a bit of a drawl, leaning back in your seat a bit while grinning back. “But you're on.”
“Haha, that's the spirit!” she says, grin turning to a full smile. To which you smile back, the ease of conversation you're having with this alien being surprising you.

You are Krillin, the last student of the late Turtle Hermit Master Roshi, one of the last martial artists on the planet, and after teaming up with the Red Ribbon army after your disastrous encounter with one of Piccolo's minions, Tamborine nearly killed you, you'd become a part-human part-robot fighting machine. And with the help of fellow martial artist disciples-turned-androids Tien and Yamcha, had bested the Demon King Piccolo. Peace had come to your world, only for him to somehow return. Only for aliens to land the same day, 'conquering' your world and taking the Demon King to a world of his own kind. And as if all of that wasn't wild enough, THEN your daughter, a daughter of you from another timeline appeared, was attacked by a being who resembles the woman now sitting across from you without the scars and personality, bested by your other timeline's grandfather only for him to bring his daughter to you, introducing you both. And, while you're not entirely sure how she feels about you, for you it was love at first sight. There's something about her, in her confidence, her clear power, and the way she carries herself that just draws her to you.

“So, why'd you bring me here? What made you think I'd be up for a challenge?” she asks, bringing you back out of your thoughts. “I'm sure there are all sorts of places to eat on this world, so why here?”
“Well, you look like the type of person who enjoys a good challenge.” you reply, gesturing to her with your left. “You don't get scars like that by running away from a fight. But how did you get them? Especially the ones over your eyes, those look like you got them years apart. But somehow managed to not lose either of your eyes, which is impressive.”

“Well, the newest is the tail, but this one here's the second-newest, when my best friend betrayed me to steal my Champion title.” Chaya says, gesturing to her right eye, then to her left as she talks about each in turn. “Her chainsaw nearly got my eye, I got lucky there. But this left one, that was... Gosh, I don't even remember how long ago. I was Champion back then, but that was that splitjaw energy sword trying to take my head off back then. So I couldn't have been more than fourteen? Maybe fifteen at the time.”

“Fifteen? Impressive. I remember back when I was fifteen, I was still struggling to learn to surpass my limits under my old master.” you say, feeling a bit nostalgic for a moment before pushing the memories of happy times away, focusing back on the woman before you. “But what kind of champion? Some sort of organized fighting circuit? So, that symbol on your suit and the device on your head is some sort of brand logo?”
“Wait, you don't get Dreadzone out here?” she asks you, sounding genuinely shocked. “Seriously?”
“Dreadzone? What's that?” you ask, seeing her expression shift rapidly for a few seconds. From shock to disbelief to excitement, clearly eager to tell you all about it. However, before she can start, one of the waitresses you recognize, Jennifer, a shorter redheaded woman with large... Personality bounces up to the table with a smile.

“Afternoon! Yer steaks're on the grill, but what can I getcha both to drink?” she asks, pen and notepad in hand. “Ya want yer usu'l?”
“Yes, if you've got it.” you reply, then turn back to Chaya. “What about you?”
“I'm, uhh, not from around here.” she says, playing off the fact she's not even of this world. And with her slightly familiar but completely unplaceable accent, compared to anyone of this world you've ever spoken to, the waitress never even questions it. “What would you recommend?”
“Oh, if yer doin tha Challenge, I'd say you'd want a sweet tea. Helps it go down smoother.” she replies with a wink, grinning with her gap-toothed grin at Chaya.

“Great, I'll have that.” she says, the waitress scribbling it down before turning back to you, giving you a wink as well before turning bouncing away. You force yourself to turn your gaze back completely to Chaya, not letting the jiggling of her movements draw your eyes even unconsciously. But Chaya clearly has no such inhibitions, actively staring for a few moments before turning back to you.
“She seems... Friendly.” Chaya says, her train of thought completely derailed. “What were we talking about?”

“You were about to tell me about you being a champion, and this 'Dread zone' you mentioned.” you say, seeing her eyes light up. Immediately she goes into the organization, how Dreadzone is basically a televised/streamed gladiatorial combat sport, one that doesn't shy away from the blood and gore of violence. How the organization is so large and powerful it owns entire planets, turning them into obstacle courses, deathrace tracks, and other sources of entertainment for the universe at large. And how, since she was a prepubescent girl had been fighting there. Working her way up the ranks, finally dethroning the then-champion and claiming the title for herself.

But as she talks, you realize something very important about her. Several times, she mentions how this was hers. That no matter how strong or influential her family got, mainly thanks to her father rising through the ranks and becoming the right hand of the universe's emperor himself, her title of champion wasn't something that was simply handed to her for being ''General Karn's Daughter''. No, she fought tooth and nail to earn her title. Which is why it was so devastating to her when she'd lost it. And to someone she'd called her best friend, her confidant and her second in Dreadzone. How, in their battle she'd nearly been killed. And would have died had her father not intervened, teleporting in between Chaya as she lost consciousness and her friend's knife she'd stuck in her back, but this time was aimed at her heart. Showing even more so, as if after the day's events you needed more convincing that this man, this 'General Karn', is the closest thing to a superhero in this space empire.

“But after I lost my title and nearly died, I was devastated.” Chaya continues, just giving you her entire life's story and leaving little out. Things others would hide, especially presumably on a first date she says openly. Which you bet would be unsettling to some but you don't mind, as she's just fascinating to listen to. She speaks like a practiced orator, but if she's been in the spotlight for most of her life, she's no doubt practiced her speaking. Through sheer repetition, if nothing else. “Made some bad mistakes, strained my relationship with my family and even lost my tail. But, eventually everything worked out. I kicked Tanya's ass for what she did to me, and now we're friends again.”
“Wait, hold on. She tries to murder you in cold blood, and you're still friends?” you ask, surprised. “You didn't banish her from the organization once you'd regained your title, or...?”

“She betrayed me bad, and hurt me more than anyone else.” Chaya says, looking down at her hand as her voice turns more melancholy. “Almost anyone else. We both wanted the same thing, or at least she THOUGHT she did when she did it. After I beat her, she stepped down on her own. Said it wasn't for her, she couldn't handle the responsibilities and obligations of being Champion. The public were driving her up the walls. But now that we're no longer competing, and after years and years of work, our friendship's back to being pretty good.”
“I...See.” you reply, not entirely sure how to reply to this. But you're saved from answering, as suddenly from the door there's a commotion.

“ALRIGHT, EVERYONE GET DOWN!” a man shouts, you turning to see a pair of armed gunmen. One of who immediately fires their weapon into the ceiling, causing several women to scream in terror. To which you sigh, turning back to Chaya. “THIS IS A ROBBERY!”
“I'll take care of this, give me a second.” you say, pushing your chair back from the table and standing up, tightening your belt.
“HEY, YOU! DON'T START THINKING YOU'RE SOME KINDA-!” he shouts, you blurring towards him at full speed. Taking the barrel of his weapon with your left hand and pointing it up at the ceiling, simultaneously firing a lightning-swift jab into his guts. “KAAaaauuuh...”

The one blow knocks the would-be robber out, eyes rolling into the back of his head as he starts to collapse. Letting go of his weapon he falls right to the ground, the second gunman immediately reacts. Eyes wide with recognition, he immediately grabs Cheryl, who was standing nearby in shock and pulls her back to her chest. Pointing his gun to her head, not taking his eyes from you.

“Don't move, or she gets it!” the man snarls, voice far lower and menacing than the guy who was shouting. Immediately you freeze up, knowing if you don't move fast enough, decisively enough, an innocent woman is going to get killed. But if you move wrong, then she'll also die and it will be your fault. However, suddenly the barrel of the weapon begins to move. The weapon, seemingly against the gunman's will moves, pointing from her head directly to his own. “Wh-What?!”
“Really? You assholes are going to crash MY date?!” Chaya snarls, you turning and seeing her holding a hand out as if grabbing something. You then remember what Karn can do, realizing she's doing the same thing as you turn back. She then reaches up with her other hand, pulling his hand off the woman. Who immediately runs, Chaya stepping up beside you and grinning maliciously. “Oh, you're gonna PAY for that. I wonder what this weapon of yours will do when you shoot yourself with it? Or, perhaps, we could do this instead?”

And before he can react the weapon is ripped from his hand, flying directly into Chaya's. Who crushes it with her bare hand, wood breaking and metal bending before she drops it at her feet. Terrifying the man, who then reaches inside his vest. No doubt for another weapon. But before he can, and before Chaya can escalate further, you act. Dashing in, driving your elbow right into his guts. Doubling the man over in pain, who only manages a single groan before collapsing. Once he falls you turn to Chaya, giving her a grin and a thumbs up. To which she giggles a bit, returning the gesture. Setting your heart ablaze, seeing her smiling at you like this.

You take the rest of the two men's weapons, breaking them all before tying the men up with spare rope out of one of the onlookers, an elderly man's truck and setting them by the door for the cops to pick up before going over to back to your seats. Several dozen people thanking you both for saving them before getting back to the table. Where you again pull Chaya's chair out for her, the woman blushing a bit at the gesture before accepting, the two of you sitting back down. A minute or so later, from the kitchen the chef comes out personally carrying one of the platters, the servers carrying the others and bringing them all to your table.

“Thank you so much for your help, Krillin. To have one of the three great heroes save us personally, it will be an honor to serve you.” he says, setting your steak down before you. Then turning as Jennifer bounces to Chaya, setting hers down in front of her. “And you as well, miss...?”
“Chaya. Call me Chaya.” she replies, everyone again thanking you both by name as they set their food down before you. Then, the chef sets down two timers, each one displaying sixty minutes zero seconds. “What's this?”

“The timer. Once you've both taken a bite of your meals, and the steaks are cooked to your satisfaction, the timers will begin. And only stop once your meals, not including your drinks are finished.” he tells her, gesturing to the food. To which she doesn't hesitate, reaching down and picking up the still-steaming griller, not bothering with the fork and knife and biting directly into it. Much to everyone's surprise. But as you see her taking her bite, feel your face heat up and heart start to beat faster, you've never felt like this before. And as you watch her, Chaya suddenly looks over to you, clearly curious why you haven't done the same. But you're mesmerized, one thought going over and over in your mind.

You want to make her yours.

Art by @Sonicmathews, forgot to put that on the post.

This is cute. I approve. Krillin really saved the date at the end and the lives of those bozos. A second later and Chaya absolutely would've caught a body like nobody's business. I really think that Krillin could be Chaya's anchor, he's got a good head on his shoulders.

But stepping from the heartwarming stuff a little bit, since the masters of old are long gone, aren't any of the students left concerned about keeping the legacy of Martial Arts alive? Because if they're gone, there won't be anyone left to stop a KP-tier threat if it shows up again.

Adorable.

>>6177492
Krillin you will be dragged home to grill fish with us when Karn finds out.

Man's got game. And even after everything he's been through, he's still the same good-natured guy he is in 'canon'.
That's something Gero was going to talk with Cui about, perhaps they'll revisit that conversation later?
>>6177619
They never saw him spit out an egg like DKP did after Goku punched a hole through his chest, nor was Kami around by then for him to explain things. So, they had no idea he survived that beam clash.
Absolutely, every time I see that face I smile in real life. Man's absolutely killed it.
>>6177765
Ha! Perhaps once he gets a stronger body/stronger reinforcements he'll be able to go to New Salda. But as of now his body can't handle it for long.
>>
>>6177780
krillin would probably do well gitting gud under the dreadzone in my opinion.
>>
Only 24 hours to go! I hope everyone's as excited as I am!

>>6178000
Potentially. But how will the audience react to him?
>>
>>6178127
>his dreadzone debut
His interesting skillset and ingenuity against bigger and badder foes would probably get him some fans. He's got the underdog appeal & charisma, and I think coming from an underdeveloped would net him some Little Guy points as well. He'd have a relatively small but dedicated fanbase.
>the fact Chaya is dating him
Seething rage or outright incredulity that a bald, noseless manlet from Planet Caveman managed to score the sexy qt 3.14 battle goddess known as Chaya. Would be an inspiration to virgin aliens that they can get the girl too without being as built as General Karn, and there would be a LOT of thirstposts of the "submissive and breedable" kind from the usual crowd.

The shear amount of SEETH would create a nascent God specifically to pick a fight with Krillin.

>She picked a fucking POCKET MAN!?
>No wait HE'S A FUCKING TOASTER WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS BULLSHIT GOD FUCKING DAMN IT
>>
>>6178127
>Potentially. But how will the audience react to him?
Aw fuck. Chaya might take a hit to her Divine powers if she takes ANY mate, much less Krillin. You know how weird fans get about idols dating irl, so I imagine it's much the same here.
>>
>>6178186
Just by numbers alone I cant imagine it being that bad, she did publically state she was having a tournament. Now if she picked him without anyone being able to compete, that might take a hit. But if he joins the show then they shouldn't complain too much.
>>
>>6178160
Were he to enter, his charisma would win him fans. His skills would earn him more.
That's the real question. But they didn't have a problem with Raditz, some even tried warning Chaya what would ultimately occur. But others secretly wished for Raditz's downfall, thinking him not good enough.
>>6178171
Quite possibly.
>>6178176
Ha
>>6178186
But they watched her and Raditz happen, and the majority of her audience supported them. Until they didn't, but that's another story.
>>6178191
Could happen. A "torunament's off he wins no contest" would upset a trillion or twelve who, reasonably or not, had thought themselves as standing a chance to win her favor. But ever since she did announce it, gym memberships in PTO territories have more than quintupled.
>>
>>6178196
Real talk, how many of Karn's students are gonna try and enter despite the obvious risks.
>>
>>6178197
At least 2

True.

What a good show. We need more like it.
