You awake on a rocky steppe. You have become transformed into a female frost giant. You have no magical powers beyond those of a baseline frost giant. You were originally a normal human male from modern-day earth surfing 4chan.

    What happens next?

Obviously since I have no frame of reference I will immediately assume that I have become the little girl.

So I will probably dance and sing with joy at all my dreams coming true.

Which, since Frost Giants live in Jotunheim, will cause an avalanche.

I am on a rocky steppe.
The first order of business is to find food and water.
The next order of business is to try to contact other people.
Finding shelter is something I will have to resort to if I can't find people; there was no mention of inclement weather, but rocky steppes are infamous for fast changing weather patterns.

Trees don't grow very tall on rocky steppes.
Most places that I've been that could be called "rocky steppes," the largest trees have been just a little over head height.

First thing first is a quick inventory of my resources.
Do I have clothing? What about weapons? Food? Water?
Next is a quick check of my surroundings. Is there nearby civilization? Is there woodland nearby? Any obvious threats?
Depending on the answers, my next actions could vary wildly. Short time my goals would focus on establishing shelter and food source. I'm going to be pretty happy to be a giant, and probably not that put out to be a woman. I'd be more upset if I'm no longer on modern earth and have to start the industrial revolution by hand. Though, that could be lot of fun.

Move to the far North, as close to the North Pole as possible, where is built foul Angband, the cold stronghold fastness of Melkor the Elder King, Lord of all Arda, Who Was Before the World and Made It. If the Siege of Angband is still in effect, make a pact with it's lords and pass to Morgoth's realm, if the Siege has been destroyed then simply move on to Angband proper and lay waste to it's defenses. Depose the Elder King and seize his Iron Crown, proclaiming myself the one true God of Middle Earth. Scatter the Orcs, I have no use for such, but hold fast to the Thrall Noldor whom Morgoth enslaved to his might, as their obedience will prove most useful. Set them again to work in the forges and foundries of Angband, working the Hells of Iron to make all such items as I should find desireable or needful. Once a year, set forth from cold Angband to the rest of the lands of Middle-Earth, bearing my elf-forged weapons, armors and other items to give as gifts to those who show themselves to be good and loyal subjects to the Iron Throne.

On the path you've chosen, you'll pass less than fifty feet from the tower, so the likelihood you'll be detected is somewhat high. As the distance decreases steadily, you make out some of the words set into the curved wall of the tower. Somehow, you can read them.

"GIANT. IN THE NAME OF LORD OLAN, I ORDER YOU TO DEPART. YOU WILL NOT BE WARNED AGAIN."

There are enough boulders around to do some serious damage to the tower, though you doubt you can fell it if it's magically strengthened. You'll probably be hit more than once if you attempt to attack, but unless the aim of their archers is exceptional, you shouldn't be seriously injured.

Several more lights flare up around you. There is a perimeter of towers, and if you expect to continue to the forest, you'll either have to go past them or around them. You're too hungry to give much thought to going back the way you came.

With the threat eliminated for now, you decide that it's best to continue on, get some food, and then figure out what to do next. That little maneuver you pulled put you out of breath, but you feel like you could have done that all day when you weren't starving. As the miniscule humans run towards the next tower, you call after them:

    "Sorry about that!"

Which the head guard answers with:

"You'll regret this, giant!" while he hobbles along with a twisted leg, supported by one of the archers.

    >>7652906

None of them fire at you as you replace your skirt and set off for the forest again. Many of the arrows that hit your armor have splintered, but they may be of some use anyway. The other towers seem to be out of range, or they'd definitely be shooting. A bell sounds faintly in the distance.

You reach the forest without further incident, and find it, to your great pleasure, to be enormous, filled with thickly-growing, tall (to you) trees, and well-populated by beasts small and large. You have the good luck to capture a medium-sized bear shortly after reaching cover, and you consume it hungrily. The bell's sound cannot reach you here, but the men it has summoned will no doubt have heard of your intended direction from the soldiers of the leaning tower, and tear apart the forest looking for you. They may even set it on fire, if their commander is sufficiently ruthless and the forest is not essential to the lives of whatever villages and towns lie around.

You spend the better part of a day stomping through the trees, occasionally partaking of the abundance of wildlife that roam the woods. You're quite well fed now, possessing a few provisions and a skull you thought was menacing enough to use as an ornament of some kind.

In short order, you make enough traps to swallow a fair-sized group of humans, fill the bottoms with short, splintered spikes, and cover the tops with a layer of dirt, leaves, and small rocks sitting atop a mesh of small branches. This takes many hours, but now that you have plenty of food, it is difficult for you to tire.

Make flag out of canvas bra, and then proceed to town. I'm sure I can convince them this was all just a big misunderstanding. I don't want to go to war with them for no good reason. I just wanna live my life without having to worry about getting chased down by soldiers or where my next meal is coming from. I'm sure I'll be able to make a decent amount of money out of physical labor, and I might be able to build a sawmill once I get some capital to invest in it.

You abandon your trap-protected cave and head back West, flying your canvas flag. After all, it might be better to take your chances with the humans right now, before the entire kingdom is united against a Frost Giant invasion force that doesn't exist, or something like that. Hopefully they will accept your surrender, and let you set the tower upright again. Of course, they could always chase you out, but you've already eaten your fill, so you should be fine for a few days after leaving the forest.

On the other hand, you could paint the flag with human blood as your battle standard, and massacre the town as retribution for wounding your knee and damaging your shield skirt. You're a Frost Giant now, far from Earth, towering over anyone who would stand against you. Playing by any rules but your own would be an insult to your race.

You'll decide what to do when you get there.

You reach the town at just past dawn, waving your bra-flag as you step out of the forest. A single peasant out of a dozen or so looks in your direction, exclaims something you can't quite understand, and runs in the opposite direction. The other humans look up at you, and, with certain varied reactions, all run. It looks like you scared them all off, regardless of your intentions. None of them were armed with anything more warlike than farm equipment.

The peasants are sounding the alarm and hurrying to get their families out of the general area before you (as they assume) pillage and burn everything, using their internals to paint your flag.

You remove your battleaxe and shortsword, placing them beside you, where they are within reach but less threatening. By an amazing stroke of luck, the town elder, a wizened, thick-bearded old man, looks back one last time before lifting his young son onto the cart that would carry him to safety. He sees you, sitting peacefully beside a brownish flag, with your weapons lying on the ground, doing no harm. He is intrigued. Against the cries and pleas of his countrymen, he goes against the tide, toward you. Something is amiss.

You sit cross-legged, watching the approaching elder with a neutral expression. He is obviously afraid, but he puts his fear behind him, summoning his courage to face a being that could crush him easily. He calls out to you:

"I am under a curse, and looking for a wizard's assistance. My true form is human, and I come from a far-off land. I have no friends here, and I fear I have already made enemies. I'm willing to work in return for whatever you can provide."

The elder looks up in great surprise, clearly not expecting such an an articulate answer from a Frost Giant, especially one he had heard to be especially murderous and cruel, mocking the Lord's infantry by apologizing for routing them. After a moment's consideration, he glances over his shoulder, seeing the town mostly empty, though a few men remained to see what would happen. Morbid curiosity, perhaps.

"You must know, Giant, that I cannot be sure of your true intentions. Were I to allow you into the care of my father's house, it would serve me fairly to be undone by it. My Lord's horsemen have already been summoned, and I lack the ability to revoke that summon. What do you propose to do about this?"

The elder mulls this over for a minute or two. The watching peasants shift aimlessly, ready to run at a moment's notice. You get the sense that at least one of them just wanted to see the old man get flattened.

"Giant, there is no way for you or I to stop the Lord's men from waging war. They will not hesitate to assault you, and break you, no matter your words or actions. You are their enemy, until they are informed otherwise, by one of higher status than I. I advise you to retreat hastily, and I promise to do my best to misdirect the horsemen. If you are who you claim to be, you will return, unarmed, in three days. That is all."

He turns, and marches back, shaking with fright. Though his years have been long, he has never faced a Giant, nor seen another do so and live. This story will doubtless be told throughout the land for decades after you depart.
