    What's the most exotic/weird/unusual race/character concept you've ever played/seen played?

The zaniest I've ever done is be a pixie. I was eaten by a cryohydra in the first round of combat.

Ever seen a 60-70 year old man with a solid steel cane/mace whip some youngster ass? I'm glad that I have.

Considerably more so when he had a "who had the worse childhood" fight with the BBEG ancient red dragon.

Played a rock. Not a silicon-based life form, not the vessel for some minor supernatural, just an ordinary, non-sapient rock, about the size of a baseball. I think the GURPS racial cost worked out to something like -200cp.

Spent the extra points on Allies, Wealth and Reputation. Basically, I was the god of a moderately obscure surrealist religion. Shit was so cash, even if I technically couldn't spend any of it.

I'm currently playing a 3.5 favored soul of Tempus who thinks he's a berserker. He thinks he's going into his "berserker fury" when he's actually just casting Divine Might on himself, and when he heals someone he uses the warlord method of yelling at them to stand back up and stop being a pussy in front of Tempus.

Shit is SO cash. Funnest character I've ever played.

My DM's name is Matt, sorry.
I rolled OldWarden as my previous PC(Human Fighter)'s father, who was only searching for his son after he left home so many years ago. He finally caught up, only to see his son die right before his eyes.(fudged ALL of my death saves. Fuck.) He holds deep contempt towards the BBEG for the act, and swears to not let anyone else in the party die.

i played an ageless fire immune burning bush in a GURPS game, I had a fanatical cult and commanded them with telekinetic mind powers, the rest of the party then poured some round up on me and took over.

Oh sweet Jesus Christ, I lol'd hard.
My first GURPS character was pretty fucked up. Turned out I had given him strength to lift a small house - but he wasn't sapient. So basically, I was a stuped gorilla....
Later we experienced that sapience is kinda necessary for a cinematic PC...

That I've played...? Well, I recently rolled up a new character for a Level 3 campaign - a Varag Barbarian. Just got to test it on the weekend in a practice play. (Imagine something like a giant alien dog that walks on two legs. Now add light armor and a large greatsword.)

Base stats: 22 STR, 7 INT... a bit on the retarded side, but a real bruiser when he raged. He ended up being a sort of steed for the other two characters, both female - they were light enough that, including what little gear he had, they could ride him and he was still able to run at his full speed of 250 feet per round (as fast a heavy warhorse). It made going from place to place so much easier.

A zombie bard, but that was for only one session. A Favored Soul to the Discworld god of death, who overzealously evangelized his god and didn't understand why no one wanted to worship Death.

Mateo Oarrick was a simple apprentice wizard, given to doing simple apprentice wizard tasks in the university of magic that his parents had paid a great deal of money to get him into. He was not an excellent student, nor even a particularly average one. To say that he was simply "poor" would be doing a grave injustice to the other students that actually qualified for the title. In short, he was absolutely terrible and completely invested in spending as much time as he could in the university so he wouldn't have to pick up the family business of mercantile for another couple of years. If he managed to pick up a couple of cantrips along the way, hey, that could only be a bonus.

One day, Mateo encountered a particularly interesting spell during his mindless library trips. This spell, if he was reading it correctly, would allow him to remotely view any location. Already, the lazy student's mind began to explore the things he could do with such a spell... he could check on how his parents were doing. He could watch the kings make their important decisions. He could peek into the ladies' restrooms without fear of reprisal.

In the end, the upstart mage with the latter and stole the spell from the library.

    Cont'd...

However, due to a mixture of his own incompetence and the anti-scrying measures that were in place over the restroom, the upstart mage found his mind completely severed from his body and transported to a strange and terrible place. A place where faceless individuals wandered about aimlessly, staring at foreign letters and pictures of odd natures.

It seemed like many years passed before Mateo managed to get the attention of an individual that referred to itself as ADMEN ISTRAY TORR. It would prove to be a fortuitous meeting, one that resulted in an exchange of knowledges the mage never dreamed of for his own barely-recalled magical insight.

Time passed. Knowledge continued to be exchanged, until one day the strange being grew bored of Mateo and dismissed him from the fantastic realm, back into his own body.

The young man opened his eyes, and was horrorstruck to find that his body had aged several decades during his time in the other-realm. "No matter," he thought. "I have learned what I can from this place." And so, he left the magical university.

Gone was Mateo Oarrick, apprentice wizard. In his place, there was only Mateo Oarrick, the Internet Pact Warlock.
