Hey, you did not just let us go with Earth or Fire.
You had to roll for all of them instead of tossing a coin.

You can always command the wind to blow sand and stones at the enemy to wear him down like with a gasoid blade.

    Your current equipment is:
-Breaker’s Sledge: A tool forged by ancient methods, the Sledge is more durable and heavy than any common metal.
-Kala Gauntlet: A full-arm gauntlet of leather and inscribed steel, it’s special manufactare allows for the wearer to interact with items of Kala make in specific ways.
-Hunter’s Pride: A bow made by the Lep’Gor craftsman Kret, a deadly weapon capable of felling even Armourhides.
    -Quiver and a dozen arrows
    -Explosives:
--One and a half dozen Cracker Seeds: Small balls of rubbery material that explode upon impact or after a few seconds if activated by the gauntlet. They are stuffed into small indentures in structures and rocks, then detonated to crack them.
--Five Breaker’s Apples: Fist-sized orbs with similar properties as the Seeds. Mostly used when directed force is necessary.
-- Three packs of Towerbane: A large pack of shaped explosive, these are the tools that used to topple the derelict towers of Netalia.

    Your talents are:
    -Breaker's Eye
Askasha has an uncanny sense when it comes to your work, developed over the years of toil in the Old City. +30 to all rolls to break objects, topple structures, or damage stone of any kind.
    -Trade Secrets
Akasha has aquired the knowledge necessary to create the explosives the Breaker's use. With the proper raw materials and tools, she can create any of the three.
    -Twice Fallen
Akasha’s soul has weathered the Fall of two cities, and has become Unbound as a result. She is now capable of magic.
    -Word of Power: Nifa
Dominion over the winds, the divine Word allows her to control and move air, among other things.

We can use wind to fling and drop explosives, to empower our hammer swings, to fly, to increase out movement speed, to reduce the movement of the enemy and the power of their blows, to deflect arrows, to blind with dust and sand and to make a cape billow stylishly all the time.

I’ve been waiting for you. Don’t fret, story’s not over yet.

The girl walks through the streets, abandoned for centuries. Her sandals tread on stone worn down be the elements, the skies a dirty grey above her, rushing clouds as far as she can see. She’s got work to do, and a demon’s standing in her way. A monster, hunger and madness manifest, in the hollow shell of what was once a warrior. She’s anxious. She’d be a fool if she wasn’t. But she ain’t backing down, and she ain’t much afraid.

The winds blow soflty, following the Breaker like a faithful hound at her heels, playfully rustling her hair. The Word is etched into her very soul, it’s power coursing through her. The bow on her shoulder, like a silent predator, ready to strike. Khasi, the spirit of paths old and new, roads yet to be built and already fallen apart, guardian of all who brave this world. Or so she says. She’s been faithful till now. And her Sledge, her trusty companion for the last three years, at her side day and night, even when her world collapsed.

The Name Pillar lies in the dust, the figure sitting on it. A smile can be heard in his voice, his back still turned. „You have returned. Good. Come, step across the courtyard. Let me see what you are made of, child.” Khasi grabs her hand, fear and concern breaking through her calm mask. „Akasha, we should not rush. We need to plan our attack. He is strong, almost as strong as Hatti was.”

She thinks. There should be a way to beat the creature.

It's an open square, about 15 meters in diameter, three roads leading in form three different sides. Buildings line it's edge, homes for the servants stacked on eachother, twenty meters high or so. The square has three name pillars, two standing and two meters tall and one wide, the last one meter tall and lying on the ground. There is a human sized statue of H'rala, the godess of the hunt in a little alcove on the opposite side to you.

The holy water runs deep underground, she has no acces to it from here.

Khasi's original name and form, the demoness that hunted at night and slayed all that came across her path. She was known for wearing her victim's heads on a belt around her waist and stalking villages, stealing young girl's souls. A virtous and knowledgable monk on his travels sealed her in the nail currenlty in Akasha's posession, after all the warriors who came at her were slaughtered.

She summons the wind, and it answers, the still air swirling around her, her hair and clothes flapping. „I do not wish to fight you. Leave now, while you still can.” The man stands, and turns. His eyes are hollow, nothing but darkness. „You have gained power. But that will not save you. I have slain mages and sorcerors far more powerful then you, little girl.” He grins, the face of a handsome man turning into that of a ravenous beast. „So be it.” she says, and with a flick of her wrist sends dust hurtling towards him. It tears at him, flaying skin and blindig vision, and the demon cries out. Stumbling over to a still upright pillar, it lifts it into the air, whirls it around and sends it flying towards the Breaker. She almost trips as she steps back, surprised. She’s strong, but she’s got no experience. The only thing that saves her from being crushed is Khasi slamming into her.

So the Pillar finds her instead. The spirit screams as her bones snap, and she falls down, her arms hanging useless, the slab of stone dropping to the ground in front of her, cracked.. The monster laughs, it’s voice carrion birds cawing on the battlefield. „The wards will not protect you, girl.” It heads for the next Pillar, and Aksha get’s her feet under her. She has to act, now.

The girl digs into her satchel, and flings three of her Apples high in the sky, her right shooting up with open palm, the slamming down. The world obeys her command, and the winds picks up the three bombs, sending it’s deadly payload at the demon on a winding path. It tries to bat one away, but it swings around, burrying itself in the crrok of his sword arm while the other two latch on to his chest and between his shoulders. The air presses on him like an invisible wall, and the Apples roar, flashing up in three explosion going off at the same time like clockwork. As the white smoke thins, Aksaha sees him, standing there. Any man would be dead, torn into pieces.

But he isn’t a man anymore. His arm is a mangled piece of flesh, lying a few feet from him, and his neck is half gone along with some of his back. The gaping hole in hsi chest shows the ravaged remains of a still heart. And he keeps walking for that Pillar, face twisted into a snarl. Until an arrow with some Cracker Seed behind the tip pierces the back of his head, running deep, the weight of a savage wind and the Breaker’s will behind it. He whirls around, staring at the one who defeated it. „This isn’t over, Kala. You can’t kill me.” The blast vaporizes his head, and the corpse falls down, the sword bouncing a few steps away from the hand that held it. She let’s out a ragged breath, letting her trembling hands fall to her sides.

Rushing to her side, the girl kneels beside her, flinching back when she sees the ruptured skin and twisted arms. „Mercyful gods...” she whispers, as the wounds start to mend, bones righting and flesh sealing. „I thank you for your concern, Akasha, but I will be whole in seconds. I am a spirit, and this body is nothing more than a projection of my will and soul. Unlike that demon’s. It is bound inside steel, only reaching out to use men and women as puppets.” The Breaker struggles to find her voice.

„I, I see. I’m glad that you are allright. Is there any way to get rid of the demon for good?” Khasi inclines her head, the blood on her hands and the ground underneath fading out of existence. „Yes, though it takes great magic. I am afraid it is beyond you, as of now. But, the place I have told you of, the forge underneath the temples might suit your needs. It was used to create the weapons of holy warriors, powerful relics fit for the ones carrying out the orders of the gods themselves. And what can create, can destroy just as easily.”

Akasha embraces the spirit, hugging her close. „Thank you. You saved my life. If there is any way I can repay you-” Khasi pushes her away a little, laughing. „There is no need. Your concern is more than enough for me. I have not had a master so kind for a long time.” She cuts the protest short, merryment dancing in her eyes. „Nor one so intent to deny that she is my master. ’Companion’, then, if that puts you at ease.” The girl sighs in defeat, and looks over the destruction. „Could I ask you to right those Pillars?” „Of course. It will only take a moment.” She walks up to the statue while the woman lifts up the heavy stones like they weighed no more than a feather.

Drawing an arrow, she cuts her left forearm, letting the blood cover the head, then smears it across the mouth of H’rala. It’s just her imagination that the smile is wider, isn’t it? No matter, tribute has been payed, and she utters a short prayer in thanks for her victory. With a gesture, the gleaming blade lifts into the air, borne by a small whirlwind. „Is there no way to redeem the demon?” Khasi frowns, looking thoughtful. „There are few absolutes in this world. But it takes much to bend one such as it, and I know of none who could achieve the feat. Perphaps in the monasteries of Tin Si Nah, or the halls of Martüka. „Is there any way to contain the demon? And could you tell me more about how they come to be?” Khasi wipes the dirt from her hands on her tunic, nodding. „Of course, a holy atrefact strong enough should be capable of keeping it’s influence at bay. There might be such an item in the temples. And demons, well, they are like any other spirit. They come to be through acts of such strength, such weight that they resonate with the world. Sometimes places absorb violence, death, despair, a thousand other things, and spawn something that embodies it. Or they can be brought forth by magic, intentional or not. Some just seem to appear, without any reason, and some have existed since the dawn of time.” She spreads her arms, spinning around. „Places have spirits, objects, times, concepts. We are surrounded by them, small and great, human, animalistic or godlike.”

Akasha bandages her arm, and sits down to eat, sharing the meal Kret’s wife packed for her with the spirit. The sword hangs in the air, something about it making her nervous. Finished, she stands and stretches, picking up her gear. Gazing at the skies, she makes her decision, the fate of the demon in her hands.

    What'd she decide? Well...

Let’s search the temple. If we find no way to safely keep it in check, I will destroy it. I will not be responsible for unlaeshing it again.” Khasi bows, her hand above her heart. „A wise, and mercyful, decision.” So off they went, across the winding streets of the Servant’s Quarters, venturing into the gloom of the temples, seeking for the sacred and the holy, the profane blade floating behind them. The chambers welcome them, and under the watchful gaze of the myriad gods of people foreign and familiar, they come across a hall. Something draws the Breaker to it, a low buzz of power and an air of reverence emanating from the dark pillars and carved tablets.

Stepping inside, she sees three objects in alcoves, white cloth, chains and a golden necklace. Above each, the stone is inscribed. The shroud of Jailé, who cured thousands of the Wasting, slain by the Plague King. Her bones are dust, but the shroud is still here. The chains of Itako, murderer and holyman, who wore them as penance for his sins against men and gods, sworn to do no harm. The locket of Shae Lin, sorceress, slayer of evils, paragon of faith in the dark times of the War. All three shine with an inner glow. The spirit stays outside, nodding at Akasha. „Mighty relics. More than I have hoped for. Each suitable for the task.”

„Gods and goddesses, I wish to redeem this demon so it may serve the good of all, and through us, your divine will. I request that I may use these holiest of relics to shield the world of it, till I find a way to purify the creature that lives inside this blade.” In answer the artefacts sing with power, like a heartbeat, calling to her. With care, she wraps the shroud around the sword, pulling it tight with the chain, and locking it closed with the necklace. The demon screams at first, it’s voice radiating inside her head, but as the locket shuts, no trace of it’s presence remains. She affixes the bundle to the back of her belt. She’s got a little too much now, her bow and Sledge hanging awkwardly.

Settling her things to be a bit more comfortable, Akasha leaves the temple, her companion in tow. The grounds seem to open up before them, and she steps off the last stone of the road as the rain starts to fall. The trek is treacherous, mud and loose earth forcing the girl to watch her step, till Khasi speaks up. „If you would allow me to lead.” she says, already cutting ahead of her. As she trudges behind the woman, Akasha can’t help but wonder how the undergrowth seems to have paths that they can pass through, how the ground seems safe and solid on the spirits trail. It takes little time to get back to the village, and she absentmindedly lifts a few Fire Caps in the air, dragging them behind her on a little whirlwind.

The medicine men are already waiting by the edge of Haven. „You have succeeded. We can worship and rebuild in peace now, the things haunting the temples gone, devoured by the beast you carry. We are grateful, and ff you are ever in need of aid, Breaker, we shall help in whatever way we can.” They aren’t surprised in the least by the floating bright red mushrooms, or the strange companion she brought back with her.

Akasha heads back to the hut she is lodging in, drawing curious stares from the men and women she passes, children running off to gossip about her return. She finds Carver and Nitalah by the cooking fire, eating the brown meaty soup and black bread Mikoa serves. The sellsword seems exhausted, but the child springs up at the Breaker’s sight, stopping dead as she sees Khasi. Behind her, three figures stand, barely visible.

The whirling man-shaped vortex of scalding hot desert wind the girl saw hold back the Daeva. A man, his skin steel, his eyes fire, in pure white serkesh garb, a veil in front of his face and a curved, heavy bladed polearm in his hands. The last one is a gangly creature, long limbs ending in wicked talons, it’s nose- and earless head dominated by a gaping maw filled to the brim with razor teeth. They are all bound to the child by a thin, ephemereal thread of glittering gold looped around their necks.

The stench of rot and copper cling to Carver, an aura of death and blood darkening the air around him. His eyes widen, narrow, then turn jovial again as he sees Akasha, and he gets up, favoring one of his legs. „I must say, I am constantly surprised to see how much you achieve.” Nitalah steps back to him, and pulls on his sleeve. „How can she do that? But I call them Rakib and Rahir and Rahar.” The fanged spirit hisses, snapping it’s jaw, and the steel one just stares, but if a humanoid whirlwind ever looked indignant, this one sure did now. Akasha nods, handing her companion a bowl and wooden spoon. „Her name is Khasi.” she gestures at the woman, almost dropping her meal when she thinks she shouldn’t have talked. The guardian laughs, and lays a hand on her shoulder. „Don’t worry, I am yours. My name, my very essence, comes from you, and none can do anything against it. I am Khasi, sentinel of crossroads, warden of wanderers. I have not seen a Sarji in quite some time.”

The child steps forward, standing at attention, speaking with care. „Well met, O spirit. What are your intentions? Are you one of the Irkesa? And are you willing to serve the blood of Sarjek?” Khasi steps forward, and pulls on Nitalah’s cheeks. „Aren’t you cute, trying to bind me? I am not for you to take, little one.” The veil doesn’t cover the pouting face she makes, but she steps back, ashamed, as Carver snaps at her. „What did I tell you? No more of this nonsense. Sit, and eat.” He sighs, and turns towards the girl. „I must apologise. Her manners are sorely lacking. You are a mage now, if there are any questions you would ask, please, go ahead. „Well then, how long has she had those three? And I’d guess that they do not follow her voluntarily.” „A few years now, and she strongarms them into a pact, or just asks them. Some are more than willing to serve her.” He runs a hand through his hair, looking troubled. „I might as well tell you, since your companion seems well informed. Nitalah is a Sarji, a descendant of Sarjek, the man who united the tribes and founded Sarkat. She is royalty, and has a natural affinity to dealing with spirits, binding them into service. It is in her blood.” The child has sat down, facing a wall, and lifted her veil a little. She shovels soup into her mouth, clearly sulking. Akasha nods thoughtfully. „I see. And what did you two while I was working? You seem injured.” Carver grins, and pats a little pouch on his belt. „I needed to reclaim something I stashed away in the Wastelands some years ago. It attracted some nasty critters, and one of them bit my leg. Nothing serious, it’ll be healed by the morning.”

The girl sits down under the leather stretched out by the side of the hut, listening to the rain pound on it, drinking a little soup. The warmth spreading through her relaxes her, and shows just how tired she feels. „One last thing, how do I get stronger at magic?” Carver squats down by the fire, poking it with a long charred stick. „It depends from magic to magic, person to person. There are rituals, techniques, meditation excercises, tattoos and potions, secret lore, a thousand ways. But diligent practice and understanding your magic is always good.” He stands, dusting off his hands on his thighs. „It tends to take years, but I believe you’ll find what suits you best in no time.” He nods towards Khasi. „If that is all, we shall take our leave. It’s been a long day for us as well.”

Good night, Breaker.” „Good night Carver.” The child rushes to catch up to him, turning around to wave at the girl and the spirit, the three figures patiently following her. After Akasha finishes her meal, she drops off the herbs and plants she collected during the day. The crone smiles at her, nodding enthusiastically at the weeds, flowers and mushrooms. „Good, good, it is more than I hoped for. Thank you, child, I will cook up a little something for you by tomorrow. A little present from me, to a young woman travelling in a dangerous world.” She smiles at the herbswoman, and shakes her head. „No need to go to any trouble, I am glad to have helped.” „Nonsense. I’ll have your surprise ready by morning. Off you go, it’s getting dark already.”

The girl runs back to the hut, and feeds the fire inside, peeling off her damp clothes , piling her gear beside the bed and wrapping the warm skins off of it around her. „Should we ask for another bed?” she asks Khasi, but the spirit only waves her hand dismissively. „I need no sleep. I will stand guard over you, so you can rest easily. Who knows what tomorrow will bring?” With little to say to that, Akasha lies down, snug and warm while the heavens pour down outside.

Of course, Saturday, hopefully closer to 16 board time.
In other related news, Bodysnatcher Quest will return on wednesday, though I might set myself to make it shorter, the better to conserve my energy.

To clarify, by shorten I mean make every about five to six hours long, that way I should be able to grab the same amount of sleep afterwards. If everything goes well, that should mean that I'll be less tired, more focused and post faster, hopefully averaging around 4 posts an hour.

I will compile a list of companions and theri known abilities.
I have a mail set for the quests, [email protected], and I think I'll compile the charsheets and such for both quests on Google Docs and simply post the links for the open to viewing pages at the start of the quests.
