Time to test out how long Henry can do what he does. Tell him to look like Clifford and see how long he can maintain it.

Making the slightly painful walk down to the workroom where Henry and your other created cons are located, you stop only to feed "Dog". You've been wondering why you haven't spent any time with him.

Henry looks up from a simple book smeared with the clay from his fingers as Victoria struggles to teach him to write. He's having trouble learning the letters, but he turns to you as you enter.

"Henry, we need to test what you can do. I'd like you to assume my form and hold it for as long as possible. Match the colours as well."

He puts down the book, and standing up from the chair, assumes your look, shape, and form. However, you're too small for him to perfectly match you, and you find yourself smiling at a happy 5' 8". You inwardly curse your shortness.

He seems to be at ease assuming your form.
"I feel like I could do this all day." He says, not able to match your voice at all.

Hmm. Not sure how to really improve on Henry at this point other than let him practice his skills and get him to read up on human anatomy.

Perhaps it might be wise to ask Victoria to teach us more about what she knows about con-making.

"Victoria, you said you knew a thing or two about making Con-Men, correct?" You say, sitting down next to her.

Closing the book, she puts it in a satchel at her side.

"Alright, first we begin by mashing up these leaves."

She guides your hands, showing you the proper method throughout. Whilst preparing the potive, you ask her about vigorative draughts.

"Vigorative Draughts are intended to temporarily enhance the strength and stamina of a living creature to inhuman standards. Large amounts of them were used in my creation, and I regularily imbibe them. They can be used both during and after creation, but are most potent when used before. Longer lasting, as well. "And that, Clifford, is how we make a preservative!" She cries out proudly, putting a stopper in the flask. "We can use this later."

You thank Victoria and she smiles at you warmly. Then, you pore through the thick, brightly coloured tome. You struggle to understand what points the man could be making. Though it's obvious that he knows what he's doing and that there's vital information in here, the cartoon caricatures drawn to ease you in and break up the information do nothing but distract and confuse. However, you do learn quite a bit.

The jumble of new information in your head is beginning to get painful as you focus on memorizing it all.

Studying eats up the rest of the time in the day, and it is almost time for Dinner. Victoria has informed you that Serkei brought her friend over, and that you are to be on your best behavior.

I was made downstairs in the workroom like most of the cons, and Mr. Serkei greeted me kindly upon my awakening. He gave me clothes, a hug, and sat down with me to eat alongside a little girl. Browsing through, it's obvious that Gender Dimorphism in Con Structures is a cheaply made copy of the text you have at the library with a different cover. Advanced Con-Making for Dunces and Urchins is laid out somewhat better than it's predecessor, and is obviously the next text in this "Series." Moorescrops Guide to Production seems to be a text entirely devoted to speeding up, instead of refining, the process of Con-Man production.

Hmmmm, well ask the crone what she has in vigoratives and surgery alchohol and how much she wants with the preservatives thrown in. See if we can get a bundle deal going.

Oh never mind then. Maybe lets just get the preservative then for the 3.5. But we should test a little of it before we pour it on our clay man, you know, in case it melts him or something.

Great. Let's pay and head home. Get some food on the way back, if possible something tasty that doesn't add to Victoria's weight. Also, do we or Victoria know Mlle Serkei's favourite dish?

This sounds good. Once we are back we can figuring out how to put the vocal chords in Henry. I think it wouldn't be to hard considering he is mostly clay but I could be quite wrong. Maybe try to find a book on con surgery in the library.
